Imagining middle adult human being turned into a sparkling and the Ex-human just Traumatizing the heck out of Cybertronians who don't know their story, (perhaps relates to the fact I turn 37 tomorow), IE organic alien blessed and uplifted by the Primes/Primus.

Because to the mechs who don't know the story the ex human's horror movie level creepy on first meeting. Their mental developmental stage and their physical developmental stagrs are all out of synch.

First of all, Happy Belated Birthday, booky!

Second, it would definitely lead to a lot of suspense, tension, and general fuckery. Honestly, everyone will be traumatized at some level here.

The Cybertronians are just completely baffled and absolutely worried over the sudden sparkling with the soul of a burnt-out worker with potential alcoholism, a nicotine addiction, and terrible sleep habits to go with their poor emotional regulation and shit diet.

Meanwhile, the ex-human would have to deal with specific-frame instincts, especially if they're a type of Seekerkin since those kind of frame-schematics have very specific, built-in quirks.

You think you have the alien equivalent of GERD or pulled a muscle-cable because of chest pain.

No. You, a Seekerkin sparkling, are developing the initial signs of spark palpitations as your spark is reaching out for someone to step up as a creator to regulate your spark energy levels back to acceptable levels. Otherwise, the constant calling will lead to your spark to collapse upon itself, burning out without a proper check.

You ping out as a very stressed, desperately-in-need-for-an-adult-RIGHT-NOW sparkling, so every Seekerkin (and other frame-types that function well in groups) can't help but drop things to bundle you up and pur you into submission as they wrangle your spark back into acceptable levels since you're vehemently refusing to actually bond with anyone.

You can't do anything but allow the mechs to swaddle you, press you against their frame, and rumble for an undetermined amount of time until your chest stops hurting and you get the feeling back in your limbs.

You didn't think you're emotionally-constipated, but it seems like Cybertronians have a different definition, especially since they can make physical contact between their very touchable souls.

Bottom line, one day you'll stop stress-weeping on a random mech's lap from a rumbling hug session, but not any time soon.

The fact that it takes so much energy from you that you literally drop into sudden, hiccuping nap right on the mech doesn't help either.

in my latest T.F.P/R.I.D2015 A.U, when I say that O.P avoids all the contact they can w/ other cybertronians + Cybertron, I actually mean almost. While running around in space, helpless on what to do with the situation he’s currently in AKA rapidly developing baby cooking in their chest, O.P had the GREATEST luck of all to be able to make some friends/acquaintances w/ various spaceship crews & either solo or smallish groups of travellers. Said groups were obvs very wary &/or hostile towards Optimus/Orion at first, but most of them quickly put their varying opinions of the so-called ‘heroic’ war legend aside when it was discovered that lil’ old Op’ was sparked. And great Solus and all things forged, THE MECH’S ALL ALONE AND SPARKED!?!??????!!!!!!???? WITH NO THOUGHT OR IDEA ON WHAT THEIR GOING TO DO ONCE THEY GO INTO LABOUR IN THE [MIDDLE OF NOWHERE SPACE WITH ALSO NO SIRE TO HELP AND NO EXPERIENCE WHEN IT COMES TO BIRTH APART FROM RETURNING INSTINCTS!!!!!!??!!?!!??!!????!??????!!!!!!!]

Ye, the whole situation of O.P’s acquaintance with these mecha is very much somewhat comforting &/or sweet but still a very complicated, ball of yarn-type mess lmao

joking, everyone in the science project take responsibility. Although it is probably you that interact with the Primes the most.

And by him thinking them as your children, do you mean that he sees the Prime he created is yours also? I think in a way the Primes are your children/grandchildren as well now.

Rung would teach them everything he already knew and you often see them following him like ducklings. And if Rung's not there then they're following you.

The Primes caused a lot of troubles and shenanigans around the science base as well, being the curious new life that they are. Because instead of being formed as adults, Rung formed them based on babies so now you and your fellow colleagues have robot babies to take care of. Luckily they do manage to grow rather fast.

The Primes definitely get cooed at a lot, who wouldn't? As cute as it is to spoil them, you still have rules to follow and falling to every requests the bitlet make is going to get you in the Shame Corner, dw you guys take care of the Primes with love (you still sneak them energon candies tho).

Putting aside you and the scientists, would Rung spoil them? Maybe.

I wish there were more TFP kids into sparklings, but in the flavor that the bitties are little feral menaces that chewed their way into the hearts of the Autobots and Decepticons.

Like spicy hissy kittens squashed into debatably safe and very cramped spaces in the name of being left alone as adult Cybertronians attempt to get them to come out with food.

Bonus points if it's the Vehicons (+Breakdown as supervisor) that are acting as the village/parents that stepped up

Anyways, here’s my proposal for sparklings/bitlets. Featuring an Oplita bitlet I made up on the spot.

1) Kindled spark: A newspark spawns either from mitosis from a source spark or from a spark merge. The newspark stays tethered with a leash to keep the newspark close and provide a constant source of energy. Newsparks can be transferred between conjux partners via an exchange of the leash, but the mech that fabricates the pod is the one that takes the newspark in the end.

2) Protoform Bud: Buds of protomatter grow off of a mech’s protoform which is then implanted in a dedicated forge to develop into a pod. Note: Sparklings bearing can be both an asexual and sexual reproduction style. A single cybertronian can spawn everything and essentially clone themselves. Conversely, it is also possible that a sparkling can be created with several different mechs as its creators, not just two.

3) Pod: One a newspark has matured enough, it drops down into the bud and transformers into a pod in which the proper protoform body is built by nanites. The pod is located in the forge which lies beneath the carrier’s sparkchamber. It is a malleable organ so that full transformation is entirely possible the entire carriage.

4) Emerged Pod: At some point, the pod has sufficiently grown and no longer requires direct connection to a parent spark and systems to stay alive and is ejected from the carrier chassis. It goes dormant during this time before hatching. The amount of trouble emergence/ejection depends on the carrier and the carriage, it is common for pods to get stuck or tangled in wires.

5) Hatchling: A gray little blob that stays magnetized to a caretaker with magnetic points on their joints. Soft bodied and almost rubbery as they are pure protoform. They do not develop color nor distinct markings for a while. They consume energon processed by caretakers from a nozzle directly connected to auxiliary fuel tanks. The nozzle location depends on the frame but is unlatched and unspooled out, not unlike a gas-nozzle at a gas station. They communicate with binary beeps, squeaks, and chirps, which is just baby babbling to other Cybertronians.

6: Youngling: (or Seeklet if a seeker frame-type) Finally develops frame color and protoform hardens into infant armor. Spark will remain exposed until adolescent armor has grown in. Basically the toddler stage. They still chirp and beep but their vocalizer comes online at this time and they can speak simple words. Their altmode becomes clearer (forming wings or wheels) but they cannot transform just yet.

mhmhn post-T.F.P-but-only-kinda-R.I.D2015 A.U where instead of being revived, Optimus escapes the ‘Prime void’ (which in my hc, is just a somewhat conscious Unicron using his energy to trap & mess with / manipulate O.P’s captured spark) & is able to get to the living world again (after somehow reviving themself idk) only to discover that their sparked w/ Megatron’s sparkling & then basically just wandering around the universe, avoiding all cybertronian contact they can, along with birthing & caring for their’s & Meg’s bitlet that the now parent O.P (going under their old destination Orion) names Zagreus

Cybertronian growth cycle

sparkling stage: Cybertronian life starts in a small pocket (called an ignition point) at the bottom of a Titan infused water pool called a Spark Spring. In the form of a bodyless spark called a sparkling. While in the ignition point the sparkling will develop it's spark casing. Then it is released into the Spark Spring water.

Bitlet stage: After being released in the water it will begin to develop its actual body while slowly rising towards the surface, where it will wait until adults come and preform the emergence ritual.

Protoform stage: newly emerged as a Protoform it will receive a mentor/s to teach, house and protect them. Protoforms are grey, with soft plating and without the ability to transform. After an amount of time, the Protoform will mature into a Mechling.

Mechling stage: having just gained an alt mode and colour, a Mechling is visually indistinguishable from fully grown Cybertronians. But their plating still isn't as strong an adults, and their EM field is underdeveloped.

full grown: a fully mature Cybertronian. ( larger sizes take longer to get to this stage)

Old timer: though Cybertronians live for a very long time, they still have a limit, eventually even they will begin to slow down.

If I ever had this time, I would take it to run away with all my tf headcanons and build more Cybertronian lore and fulfill my fantasy cravings, so-

MAGIC AND MAYHEM!

Fairy tales, urban legends, and Gothic Americana meet off-worlders! (We might as well tap into the surge of fantasy and supernatural settings, right?)

Lead cast: Kup, Thundercracker, Roadbuster, Hot Rod, Nova Storm, Greenlight, and Springer

(One badass grandpa, one responsible adult, one Fun Uncle of a Wrecker adult, and four kids)

Their escape pods crashed into a part of Earth, somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere, where things aren't what they seem on the surface.

Just a friendly town where neighbors greet their Neighbors, stores run 24/7 but locations will vary by weather and certain weeks of the year, farmers' markets and antique shops will sell everything and anything for a price, HOAs are the local meetings of hedgewitches, and reality tends to warp every now and then.

The faceless shadow of a mayor feels for these off-worlders' plight. They really do. After all, it isn't the first time the Void had spat out strangers and certainly won't be the last time.

It's unanimous. The City Council has agreed to help the trapped Autobots locate their brethren from the stars ("Or alternative reality," pips up a shadowy figure with ties to the local university's physics department and the high school's creative writing club.)

In return for room and board, the Autobots will utilize their skills for the community, which include but not limited:

Artillery training for potential employees of the surrounding day cares and hand-to-hand combat hours to settle the prerequisites for hospitals

Trainers for the bank's annual renewal of weapons-handling and high-stakes negotiations

Supplement teachers for the scouts and after-school programs

Scouts for possible HOA meetings. The Hedgewitches of Archibald's would prefer locations with an Archibald's, but will accept abandoned mines and dilapidated military sites/lone manors. Haunted locations are a bonus. The initiates and high schoolers need to get a feel for art of necromancy and perform a banishment.

Advisors for potential collateral damage for the university's yearly student research projects. (Some students get overzealous.)

Pruning services. The town does have a massive community garden between the hospitals and schools, but sometimes a researcher can get over their head and create a hybrid crop that's pest-resistant, fire-resistant, and a weapon of mass destruction.

Impartial judges for the monthly talent shows and the weekly opening of the Courts of Trade Settlement. Wording is both tricky and so very fluid. After all, one should be very clear about which definition is being applied.

Wrangling stray fliers that miss the sky-net and stray away from the Zone.

"Oh, and the children must go to school by next week. Paula here shall help with the process."

So Hot Rod, Springer, Nova Storm, and Greenlight get their first taste of formal education where there's intelligent, talking animals and undead teachers, the doors move, no one knows how big is the building, clubs are mandatory, and Spirit Week is an Experience.

Congratulations! Hasbro has agreed to let you write for a Transformers story! However, there's a catch. As you're a new writer, they aren't ready to trust you with their most popular/lucrative characters yet.

Listen, it's one thing to be given a sparkling and babysit a few others. But fifty?! For Soundwave- arguably the busiest mech in all of the Decepticon forces? Where is it even going to put them! It babyproofed its own quarters, but it can't fit them all in there!

It's not like Soundwave could baby proof the entire ship either. Plus, it certainly would not trust these with any Vehicons. They would accidentally hurt one, which would lead to indiscriminate violence from the otherwise impassive TIC; an outcome that must be avoided.

Soundwave could only hope that these were the kind that disappeared after 24 hours like the rest. Otherwise, it's in big trouble.

There's a teensy little bitlet staring up at the former warlord, bright blue eyes round with wonder. She paps her tiny servos against his pede and beeps at him.

Bumblebee comes up right after and scoops her into his arms. "Sorry about her, Megatron. I looked away for just a second and she's already trying to be a little bugger."

Seeing a sparkling was the last thing Megatron expected but he wasn't exactly upset about it, in fact he couldn't help but smile down at the bitlet. That is until Bumblebee came and picked her up...oh was this the sparkling he's heard about from Prowl?

" No need to apologize, she does not bother me." Megatron assures the scout " Is this Scuttlebug?" he inquires curiously as he slowly extends his servo to gently poke the bitlets cheek before pulling it back " I have heard a rumor that you were in possession of a sparkling and I now see that those rumors were true. She is quite happy, you've taken good care of her."

basically: the terrans, through being on what's considered a hostile planet that isn't home, came out more developed than the average sparkling/protoform. like- more armor, more rigid shapes.

on cybertron, sparklings formed much softer and almost malleable- because there are older cybertronians that can raise them and keep them safe. where cybertronian sparklings have to grow their protective shell, the terrans were born with them.

which would also explain why they were able to scan and take alt modes so quickly after their birth- they're literally designed to safely reside on earth

which is part of why, in the battle with mandroid, optimus wasn't completely flipping the frick out- to cybertronians, the terrans would already be essentially 4th graders. old enough to have common sense on cybertron
