I really like the straightforward way that they talked about Jack's depression and how he's being treated and how it's not a reason to judge him but something to be happy he's getting help for and I love that. Very straightforward and understanding and filled to the brim with characters just caring for each other in the best kind of friendship.

And the way he shut down any hint of Aoi starting to judge Jack and didn't hesitate to talk about him getting better was also good.

I just watched The Imitation Game and it further reaffirms my feeling of Matthew Goode being the perfect casting for Matthew de Clermont. I can’t see him in anything anymore and not think “vampire”. Don’t get me wrong, the series had some great casting (Diana, Gallowglass, Marcus, Jack, etc.) but Goode was just *chefs kiss*.

Like most people, I don’t normally like to watch stuff based on books before I read them, because I like to come up with my own interpretations before they’re forever warped by actor portrayals. And I tried for DOW — I started the book but half way through I got too excited and convinced the hubs to watch the series with me. Then finally I went back to finishing the trilogy after the series. And I kept waiting as I read the books to be disappointed that Goode was in my head, but that never ever happened and I wish there’d been more to the show because I would have loved to see him and Teresa Palmer fully act out the books exactly like Good Omens did lol. But that’ll never happen and if it did they couldn’t bring back Goode (and Palmer) and that’s just unacceptable.
