please tell me they didn't use the actual papyrus font for the subtitles. idk how noticeable it is in the original but watching the film subtitled is painful until you get desensitized to it

the decision to just have the Na'vi speak english is cowardly as fuck. didn't you guys make a fully functional conlang for the first movie??

it also makes it more difficlut to tell what language is being spoken in various scenes. literally what is going on and who understands whom

even though the original movie apparently fucked over the hired composers i can't deny that its music fucked. can't remember a single melody from the sequel though

main villain being able to commune with nature without any self-reflection sucks ass. you could say he just subdued the flying thing through it comes back later and is apparently loyal so what was that

the spider situation is really weird. his adopted family don't really seem to care about his abduction much (was jake sully being more literal than i realized when he called spider basically the family's stray cat?? idk neytiri sure doesn't seem to give a fuck about him). the weirder thing though is how he is not restrained or even really supervised while captured despite being open about his loyalties

not to out myself as a space racist but i couldn't tell the two brothers apart until like halfway through at which point one got a lot more spotlight and it became clear the other was done for. rip son number 2 i literally don't remember your name

the love interest girl's character is said like once or twice in the whole movie. i was listening for it since i was crushing on her (because neytiri is barely in the movie)

there are multiple instances of a boat being thrown into the air and none of them look real

i swear they say "four fingers" when they mean five at some point. yeah i'm reaching here

the plot is paper thin and so many of the situations are incredibly basic

Well done for Christopher for getting his dad to date. That kid has all adults I'm his tiny little pocket, he is the real adult in that show.

I love that Hen and Karen may get a chance to adopt a new baby girl, they wanted it so badly with Nia.

And Buck holding that baby, understanding the gravity of delivering and holding your own child then having to let him go, broke my heart.

I'm not going to refer to the new dates, as I won't be continuing with them to S7, I may watch every now and again for the progress check.

But I am deliriously happy that Athena finally agreed to take Bobby on that cruise, it was way overdue.

FFFFF I finished Elden Ring. I need a break.

I did manage to defeat Malenia, though without much of a feeling of accomplishment tbh. I did manage to be quite ok during her first phase, but the second phase i settled on me and my mimic tear ganking up on her - we staggered her into oblivion and then she died. So meh, but I ran out of patience at the end of the game and for the rest of the boss fights I used a mimic tear every time, just so I could get it over with faster.

The game is good...very good, but it exhausted me mentally for some reason. (But there's been bad news health wise in my family lately, so maybe I'm just not in the mood.) The exploration aspect is amazing, but it makes it so the main storyline gets cramped at the very end. I swear I fought like five bosses in a row. I mean come on.

Either I don't know how to take what advice I'm given in therapy, or I just have a bad fit of a therapist. (I am willing to be enlightened on the matter from anyone who has a good therapist.)

Today felt more like attending a conference of a motivational speaker than what I imagined therapy to be. After about 5 or 6 sessions of this, I think I'm willing to say I won't be going back.

I expected more directed, actionable solutions than "try yoga" and "ignore the voice in your head". She might as well have said, "just don't be depressed or anxious."

And so my bad brainworms continue to plague me. Not as bad since my meds are semi-working, but still.
