We know it’s probably just “a bit”, or stylistic choices, but any time we see content creators
Film a video where there’s routinely more than one of them interacting with one another (for example, Geoff Castellucci’s music videos)
Imply the presence of “parts” of themselves having their own thought/agency (Sanders Sides and similar)
Imply the presence of some “other” (Darkiplier, etc)
Speak about a character they play using first person language (”well, my motivations were xyz” instead of “well, (character name)’s motivations were”) or in terms of that character being “a part of them now”, speaking to the actor, taking on some agency of their own, etc,
We kinda go hmmmm.
We’re not saying anyone who does that is plural or a system. Most probably aren’t! And if they are, that’s their business, and for them to talk about. But knowing how common plurality actually is, how often plurality and creative fields overlap, and how common it is to not really know you’re plural in those words... it’s just interesting to think about.
And it just makes us happy anyways, because it’s a small thing that makes us feel a little less weird when we do it.

I don't know how strictly accurate this is, but one of the things I find shocking about watching historical dramas is how many people there are around all the time---according to Madame de... (1953) a well-off French household in the Belle Epoque maintains a workforce of at least 3, and the glittering opera has staff just to open doors. According to Shogun (2024) you can expect a deep bench just to mind your household, and again, people who exist to open doors.
Could people....not open doors in the past? Were doors tricky, before the standardization of hinges? Because otherwise, the wealthy used to pay a whole bunch of people to do it for them in multiple contexts, and I find myself baffled.

i 100% believe that, on the night they met, house tried to get wilson into bed. he was probably subtle, and wilson just didn’t pick up on it, but it really is obvious from an outside perspective.
house saw wilson at a conference, noticed him, deduced that he was getting divorced, tracked him to a bar, watched him have a breakdown and get arrested, followed him to the police station, and bailed him out of jail.
no way that man wasn’t trying to fuck.
