the “actually, there are two beds” trope with him is so funny esp in a f2l setting because for every night of your trip, he finds some excuse to be in your bed instead of his. actually, he would give up rooming by himself on a group trip if it meant he got to share a room with you, because he’d find a way to share a bed with you. 

the first night, he dumps his entire suitcase on his bed, then showers, and you’re asleep by the time he comes back. and now he’s clean and moisturized and he wants to go to bed and oh no! all his stuff is still on his bed! guess he’ll have to share with you for tonight 😇 

the second and third nights he fakes having a nightmare to crawl into your embrace, and then feeling sick so you’ll coddle him to sleep. 

the fourth night, he showers first and falls asleep on your bed instead of his. you’re the respectful one who takes his bed instead, but ofc he wakes up once you’ve fallen asleep to slide in next to you, and when you groggy and confused he just hushes you back to sleep with a cheeky, “you were in my bed, don’t worry about it.” 

the fifth night, he turns the AC all the way up and says you “looked cold” so he “came to cuddle you” while you were asleep. 

he could find an excuse for every single night as long as you share a room together, but the moment you invite him in, ask him, “satoru, do you wanna share?” his brain short circuits and his face goes all red and you offering does bad bad bad things to him and now he actually has to sleep in his own bed because this is gonna keep him up all night

i am sick and miserable; it is therefore my duty to bring out the sick!codywan headcanons into the light:

sick!cody:

has never been sick before, what is this sorcery? clones do not get sick, you see; except for when they do, apparently

he tries to push through it, but as soon as he visits the medbay for some pain-relief, the medic orders him bed rest

he does rest, but he also barricades himself because he does not want the illness to spread more than it already is: it is risky enough to have him and the few of ghost company who also have contracted the virus down, he is not risking the rest of his men

he is miserable. he has never suffered like this before, a blaster bolt to the chest would be easier than the combination of the killer headache, the cold, the bone-deep pain and a sore throat that has rendered his voice useless

childishly, he wants obi-wan by his side. he would like his batchmates too, but the presence he longs for the most is his general. there are tears gathering in his eyes and it is humiliating, can this sickness kill him instead?

gets immensely relieved when the door to his quarters opens and it is, indeed, obi-wan carrying with him medicine and a bowl of ration-soup

contrary to his feelings, he scowls and tries to scold obi-wan for risking himself when the 212th could be left without command

sadly, his voice still does not work. that means cody has to settle for glaring at obi-wan; it is not very effective, considering the state he is in

as much as he grumbles, as obi-wan takes care of him, he starts to feel better. he does not want to admit it, but knowing obi-wan is by his side makes bearing the illness easier

he feels weak and hates it. he feels useless, seeing obi-wan take care of him, and hates it even more; hates that he cannot smooth the stress out of obi-wan's frown, that he cannot reach out and reassure his general, that he needs rest in the first place and therefore cannot share the burden weighting on obi-wan's shoulders

and he hates how despite it all, he wants obi-wan's careful, gentle hands on his forehead; how he wants to keep hearing his general's voice in that soft, reassuring tone; how warmth spreads all over from his heart to his veins and his body relaxes under obi-wan's care, because it is obi-wan and that means he is safe

he tears up a bit. he feels sleepy, cotton-like thoughts filtering through his head, a daze that does not alarm him for obi-wan is still with him

he feels loved and cared for and weak, and he hates it, but he loves it; and despite how unwell and miserable he is, he wishes the tenderness of the moment could last forever

and he cannot help his hand reaching out and grabbing obi-wan's with it as he curls up and presses both against his chest, too many sensations leaving him tired and spent

and he falls asleep, safeguarded by his general and a golden, bursting and blooming feeling taking over his heart

when he wakes up later, obi-wan is sitting by his bunk, and their hands are still linked together

sick!obi-wan:

this man will never admit to being sick. he is in denial. he cannot get sick, he is a general and a jedi, he has work to do

unfortunately for him, he is, indeed, sick

and weaving it off to say it is just "a bit of a headache, really, dear, no need for theatrics" is not going to cut it when his fever is reaching dangerous temperatures

which cody discovers by accident by pulling obi-wan into a swift keldabe kiss before going their separate ways

obviously, that was before cody knew obi-wan was sick. no separate ways, no sir, they are going straight to the medbay

the worst patient award definitely should go to him

he is miserable. obi-wan has suffered through colds before, and this is a thousand times worse. he is cold, has bone-deep pain, is shivering in places he did not know could shiver, has a killer headache, and a sore throat that's made every word out of his mouth hurt. the force has forsaken him

his dramatics go up to a thousand

he is ordered bed rest by the medic. unlike cody, he decides that means to work from his bed instead of standing, and cody has to confiscate his datapads

and since he apparently needs a babysitter, it is cody the chosen one for such privilege. this leads to bickering to the most of obi-wan's current abilities; which, to be honest, are not exactly brag-worthy considering his predicament

it is rather humiliating that his commander is getting him to bed, but his legs have decided to give up on him, so there is not much choice there, really

spends the time insisting for his commander to go back to work. that he will be fine if left alone for five minutes

but cody refuses each time, and takes care of him even if rather clumsily, comming the medic back and forth for instructions, and really, this is not doing any favours to the crush he is harbouring for the man

cody does not leave. he does not move from his side, a hand on his forehead taking his temperature in regular intervals, awkwardly asking if there is anything else he can do to make obi-wan feel better, and oh

because obi-wan is sick, and miserable, and in pain, and probably also half-delirious from his fever, but love expands across his chest like it was always meant to, a golden place reserved for his hard-working, steady and beautiful commander

and obi-wan dislikes asking for help. not for others, or when he sees he may not be able to help out someone alone, but he does not like asking for himself. it leaves him feeling useless, and brings out vulnerabilities from years past he has always thought himself over of

yet, it is in that instance, that when cody asks once again, "is there anything more i could do to help, sir?" he reaches out, holds out for cody's hands, arm too weak to do much but tremble, and when his own is held between cody's, he asks: "stay?"

and cody stays. when obi-wan wakes up next, cody is there. and cody keeps being there, attending obi-wan's needs and supporting him, as he gets through the sickness and until he is healthy again

and for a moment, obi-wan wishes cody would forever stay there, by his side, no matter where the war takes them or the years of peace he longs for afterwards

that is all folks! hope you enjoyed this. i tried my best but i truly could not get cody and obi-wan out of my head, and since i am bed-ridden with sickness and despair, i want the boys to at least get some comfort, too.

talking about comfort, i am tagging @codywancomfort :) i hope it qualifies? i feel like cuddling while being sick definitely falls into the category of comfort.

casually explaining the nature of necromancy to a whole panel of Very Serious agents in episode 4, and when he is shown a mysterious symbol, he announces that it was favored by alchemists

then the agents go to a psychiatric hospital to visit frank black, and mulder says hello to someone random walking in the background - such a small detail, but a sweet one

he steals salt from a trashcan and draws a magic circle to keep zombies away from him- because he is resourceful!

he claims that poltergeists are drawn to the turmoil of adolescence in episode 5, which i love and shall incorporate into my own belief system

telling scully to come to a specific address in episode 6 and then surprising her by rising up from beneath the street, LMAO

and then he gets roped into fixing a random lady’s pipes despite having no idea how to do just that (a child tells him he is doing it wrong) (scully covers her mouth to hide her smile) (and then he falls through the floor) (scully gets serious at this point)

he gags when weems puts his glass eye back in and then smiles and turns to scully to pretend he isn’t bothered... a squeamish king!!!

his very dramatic recreation of how he thinks the gangster ended up dead in weems’ apartment, complete with sound effects!

assuring scully she can go home in episode 7 since she had very personal ties to the pfaster case :( she refuses to do it, but he doesn't want her to think she has to hide anything from him

and then he makes an offhand remark that god is only here for the box scores (a very rare and interesting look into his personal theology - or is it an offhand quip to try and distract a suffering scully? you decide)

trying his best to comfort scully after she kills pfaster in episode 7- leaving the investigation to find her wrapped up in a blanket in her room; telling her that he’ll help pack so she can leave her place; that the bible allows for vengeance; promising his report will reflect she had no choice but to kill him (which, while i really hated this episode, this moment still melted my heart - he was trying to comfort her with the words of her own religion, one that he vehemently disagrees with, because he could tell she was torn apart and wanted her to be at peace💔)

rescuing scully from the fundamentalist preacher trying to shove her into a box of snakes in episode 8- and then, despite someone hurting his partner, he somehow manages to keep his cool while interrogating the guy. a real professional!

and his analysis that there is great appeal to a fundamentalist environment where someone does all of the thinking for you, which is very interesting coming from his psychology background and his own decades of wrestling with The Truth

his absolute conviction that he can find the missing kids in episode 10 :( god...

confidently launching into his werewolf explanation in episode 12, not caring at all that he is on live TV - in fact, he’s excited for the opportunity, and holds the werewolf sketch up proudly to the camera!!

he also uses the national TV audience to tell scully he thinks bubblegum pink would be a good color for her hair... he did NOT need to do that, i'm crying

(by the time they return back to steve and edy’s place, he is confidently narrating their actions to the film crew, leaving scully to ask “i’m sorry, are you talking to me?” haha)

then he gets caught in between steve and edy’s fighting and tries his best to calm them down - and when he fails miserably, he turns to the camera with a smile, saying they should stay there for a while, lmao

when the cop who claimed to see the wasp man is worried the world will label him as “the crazy one”, mulder tells him all he can do is good work <3 he would know…….

“you didn’t get the proof that you wanted, mulder” “well, hey, you know, it all depends on how they edit it together!” (laughing and pointing at the camera) <- NERD!!!

in episode 14, the doctor was shocked he was suggesting witchcraft: “you mean, like baba yaga?” “i was actually thinking less eastern and more celtic. maybe scots-irish or appalachian, even” <- trust him to get SPECIFIC with the genre of magic he is proposing!

softly saying good morning to scully as she walks into the office in episode 15, his feet resting on the desk as he reads the newspaper <3

and when he hears her message on his voicemail, he IMMEDIATELY knows something is wrong - he starts calling and leaving messages of his own; he goes to her place and then runs away when he learns she was with CSM; he calls her mother; he bursts into skinner’s office with the gunmen- just generally losing it because he needs to keep her safe

“i know she can take care of herself. it’s just not like her to lie to me” 💔💔💔

using a newspaper as an umbrella in episode 16 and proceeding to ask the normie sheriff questions like “how many talons would you say a raven has?” ...iconic spooky mulder!!

ellen asks “do you have a significant other?” and he answers “um, not in the widely understood definition of that term” (<- muffled yelling because i can’t even put into words how much this one made my heart melt)

(and then he indirectly accuses the sheriff of cheating over breakfast… he can be a shady lil bitch when he wants, lmao)

matching the attitude of the corporate lawyer who won’t answer any of their questions in episode 18, saying that he can’t disclose why he asked about a bug- it is confidential!! another shady lil bitch moment!!! and good for him!! 

in episode 19, he gets SO excited to learn that there will be a character based on him in the movie federman is writing, bahahaaaa

laying on his couch, quoting every word of plan 9 from outer space, because it is so bad it hypnotizes his critical mind “and frees up my right brain to make associo-poetic leaps”, which makes perfect sense for him (also- he has seen the film 42 times)

referring to skinner as "skinman", getting scolded, and immediately apologizing (and then accidentally staying on the line with skinner while he tries to inform scully their boss is taking a bubble bath, haha)

he gets so upset with the final movie claiming scully was in love with skinner that he runs out of the theater!! and then he worries aloud about if the movie will tarnish the memories of the dead :( he is sensitive...

in episode 21, he decides to run the mystery woman’s face through the facial recognition database and then the national archives to find video of her with mussolini and nixon… a clever guy who gets results!

and then, upon learning the mystery woman is a genie, he very confidently uses his first wish on world peace, DESPITE having seen how all of the other wishes were misinterpreted… naturally, it immediately backfires (bonus points for him calling the genie out on her BS... and skinner only seeing him yell at a wall)

but ultimately, he uses his last wish to make the genie happy, allowing her to see the world go by just like she told him she dreamed of :,) because he is a GOOD MAN!!!!

when the auditor reads the amount they are spending per year in episode 22 he asks “is that a lot?” and then suggests that he and scully start sharing a room to cut costs, LMAOOOO

he is so excited to see billy miles and teresa nemman again <3

later, scully collapses in the forest, and he holds her in his lap, demands richie get her some water… he tells her “it’s okay, it’s okay” while she asks why this is happening, and brushes her hair out of her face while he explains his theory… god. he really is a lover boy deep down, huh?

telling scully that there is more for her in this world than the x files... while implying that is all there is for him 💔
