ive only JUST now seen this ive had a kinda busy week (kinda = ive been mostly panicking about how close to november it is and also wanting to write but not writing except for like little bits of nameless and also hanging out with friends on the side. so you know. normal average busy) BUT IM SO EXCITED. okay out of all the houses i can say for certain my favourite house has and will always be the living plants arc house. opening a door to a whole other world and its filled with plants and feels like constant summer and then you open the trees and they bleed and there are people inside. i was ECSTATIC writing that arc not only because i knew what i wanted to happen during the time inside (the love confession, the caves, the gradual descent into the cold, the BLEEDING FUCKING PLANTS) but also because it was just so fucking cool to run through. everything feels extremely simplistic, but the implications are INSANE.

there were PEOPLE HERE. there are signs that there was a community there before it all went to shit. if you bleed plants, you are likely walking on a lot of corpses. how many people got interested in this place? exactly how many miles did the gang walk before they ended up in the cave, or even in the dead part of the world? the house clearly values trees over grass and flowers (the dead part of the world is cold but there are still people out that far and they are trees), but the very first thing the gang starts bleeding is flowers. i dont ever do a whole lot of word building, which always bites me in the ass later, but the fun part about the fic is that i dont necessarily have to DO a whole lot of world building. the world tends to write itself with necessary logic and assumption and isnt that the pure horror of the situation?

you only have your assumptions. you have no choice but to assume things based on what you observe and you have no way to prove these assumptions false or true. did the gang necessarily focus on that? no. no one expresses to one another outside of the moment it is revealed and brought up that people are inside the trees and they are bleeding flowers that there is a possibility they could become trees or plants. but it still weighs on those sections. shuichi could die and become a bed of moss. you feel it in the back of your mind and when i reread these chapters its a constant thing for me to remember that. they are walking over corpses. they could become these same corpses. they are walking through a place where people lived, and subsequently died. there is ARCHEOLOGY that could be fucking done here but what archeologist is going to believe someone when they tell them about these houses? the studies and published books are barely even thought of because they're so OUT THERE. kokichi likely only got the books in because he requested them and what are the librarians going to do? leave them to rot in storage? no, theyre going to put them out on the shelves!

but just imagine it man. you are trapped inside a house. the trees have bodies in them. the people inside are still breathing. you are bleeding flowers. youve found a little town that is now abandoned and overgrown. there are nettles covering a path. you are bleeding flowers. you are running out of food. your legs hurt from walking. it is cold. you are bleeding flowers. you need to rest. you are bleeding flowers. like what horrific imagery is going on in this section. if i were to rewrite this fic or polish it up more, i would definitely make the imagery more vivid and visceral. i really do love this section. i always talk about it because im SO proud of that section and i LOVE that house

ooo amami as the antag is a very interesting thought! You're right, he was definitely set up to be an antag and he would have made an interesting one, because there are so many possibilities with him and his situation.

A lot of it hinges on how much he actually remembers from the beginning, though. Since his message to himself mentions his talent and the fact he was in a previous killing game, and since that was in his Ultimate Lab that was only made available in Chapter 5, I do genuinely believe he had no idea about his talent or specific circumstance in the short span he was alive in canon. All he knew was he had a perk that nobody else had, and he probably connected some dots with that that made him act shifty as hell, but it could also be used to end the killing game. Things he mentioned that made it seem like he knew more - like the Ultimate Hunt - were just mentioned in the Survivor's Perk.

A lot of his advantage is based in one specific situation happening that didn't even work out in canon for him, and the concrete knowledge that the mastermind is in the academy. Admittedly, knowing there is a definite mastermind could definitely spur him into being a threat past Chapter 1, growing more desperate to find them and put an end to this, but I don't think his talent and association to the previous game could actually come into play until he discovered his lab in Chapter 5, which personally takes away a lot of the fun of Amami specifically as an antag.

For the sake of fun, though, let's say Amami remembers everything in terms of being the Ultimate Survivor and the previous killing game, but in a fuzzy enough way that it can coincide with the Flashback Lights - maybe he later assumes it took place during the Ultimate Hunt, and that he was recovered by the Gopher Project and got a new title for being the only one to actually escape the Hunt's clutches, whatever. He lies to the others about forgetting his talent because that's obviously not information you just freely give out. That would give him some fun possibilities in terms of motives for being a menace!

From the way I see his character in canon, I can't imagine he would actively enjoy causing problems. He gives the impression of a mediator to me, someone who prefers to keep things civil and work things out somewhat diplomatically - which probably comes from having so many sisters, to be fair. But he's also very cold when it comes to the topic of the killing game, collected and full of ominous warnings, and that would go tenfold if he actually remembered the previous killing game. He may not enjoy it, but he definitely would do it, if he thought it was for the best. It might be fun to lean into a whole 'I know best' mentality with him, actually, playing around with his big brother complex too, reflecting the more classmates lost to him losing his sisters, on top of the inevitable self-importance that comes with knowing more than anyone else.

Perhaps he thinks the mastermind of his first game is the same as this one. That would make him more eager to expose them, to end the game - to avenge his previous classmates. He can't remember who the previous mastermind was but he knows there was one. Perhaps he's willing to gamble as long as a majority survives. After all, anything is better than one, right? Or perhaps he has to prioritise ending the killing game because of his own paranoia - what if it continues and continues and continues? If they can make one killing game, two, what's stopping them from going on?

Sixteen, thirty-one, is nothing in comparison to infinity.

Motives and general Amami character analysis aside, I do think the idea of his dynamic with Ouma in this situation would be particularly interesting. Because yeah, everyone would definitely be more concerned about whatever overt off-the-walls bullshit Ouma is doing than mild, vaguely ominous but helpful Amami in the corner. It leaves Ouma to be a very convenient and easy scapegoat for anything Amami does, and Amami is smart enough not to make himself obvious about things. He doesn't want to draw the mastermind's attention any more than he does by simply existing in this killing game.

And it's strange, because while I can see Ouma playing along on the principle of it helping further along his own plans anyway, I also can't see him being very happy at being used as a pawn. He's very suspicious of Amami and his behaviour anyway, but being accused of things out of his own hands kind of pisses him off, because he expects things to go a certain way. Amami is sort of like an unknown variable to that. I could imagine a sort of implicit, passive aggressive rivalry going on between them.

The reveal that Amami is more involved in anything than the others thought would be very delicious though!! He can't hide all his actions, and the further the game goes, the more cold and serious he becomes, driven by the fear of being unable to end this game before he winds up the sole survivor again. It becomes obvious that he's pulling shit, and it's like uncovering a threat that was always laying dormant - suddenly the class is left scrambling to accept that Amami isn't nearly as innocent as they thought he was.

All that said, I would like to make an argument that Amami is already an antag, technically.

Amami is Akamatsu's antag.

They're very similar, and also very different. They both show an ability to lead and a level of determination, and both are trying to keep everyone happy and together - mediators. But Akamatsu is emotional, passionate, warm and hopeful with a tendency to lash out where Amami is cooler, calculative, composed, more focused. Akamatsu is flying by the seat of her pants while Amami has an actual plan, has experience.

Obviously, they were only alive for one chapter so it might just be because they had to squeeze all the character interactions in before they died, but it really does feel like, in Chapter 1, in Akamatsu's POV, Amami gets more of the spooky future antag focus. He gets the ominous quips, he gets the visible concern - at one point, Akamatsu mentions that something Amami had said really affected her, placing emphasis on it.

In contrast to how Ouma is treated in this chapter before the trial, Akamatsu seems to write off a lot of his behavioural quirks as being childish, or not taking things seriously. A lot of their conversations boil down to his whole liar-liar schtick, and from what I can remember, Akamatsu herself never really singles him out in commentary. He definitely still stirs shit, but mostly he's just annoying, and there isn't too much emphasis on it. It's not treated like a threat, really. Not in comparison with Amami.

Because to Akamatsu, Ouma can be written off as lying, as running his mouth, as playing around. Amami is serious, and he knows something.

Amami is Akamatsu's antagonist.

Plus, narratively, it makes a lot of sense to me if they got rid of a protag-antag pair in one trial. It's like wiping the slate clean and letting the new pair step into the spotlight.

We never see Amami through Saihara's eyes in canon. But we see him take Ouma seriously, and that's when he becomes a recognised threat.

Basically - yeah, I agree with you. Amami definitely could've been the antag if he survived, and now I'm really itching to write a one-shot.

It would be a fun AU, to explore a canon divergence where Saihara and Ouma die in the first trial instead, leaving Akamatsu as the protag and Amami as the antag. At first, nothing can ever be fully linked to him, it's all coincidences, until it can't be any more. And Akamatsu is frustrated because he knows things, it's so obvious, but it's confusing to talk to him because he acts so amiable about it. It feels wrong to get mad at him like that.

Would Kokichi have been on board with sacrificing themselves to stop the killing games in the last chapter?

Honestly? If he couldn't come up with an alternative solution then probably.

If they're fictional characters and there isn't hope for all of them to live lives outside the killing game then ending their suffering and effecting change that stops the suffering of others is the next best thing he could hope for; not living miserably, not dying for nothing, and stopping TDR.

It would be in line with what he did in CH4– try to preemptively prevent the cast from suffering– and what he did in CH5– try to stop the mastermind even at the cost of his own life when he was backed into a corner.

Obviously Kokichi wouldn't be fine with everyone dying when there's a better way, but I'm not sure if there was a better option available to them, or if he would have been able to think of it, so he probably would've gone with it and that would be perfectly in character for him. Even more so than the others to be honest.

JoshNeku, I cant fully explain why but I always really liked this messed up ship, theres so many layers and complexity to it that makes it so intriguing and conflicting to ship lol but overall I genuinely do believe Joshua cares for Neku and saw value in him in the end, not as just someone he manipulated in the game and gambled on, but genuinely sees him as a friend after witnessing him selflessly risk his life trusting Joshua when he had every reason to pull the trigger. To me I feel like these two have alot of unresolved issues they need to talk out but Joshua isnt willing to face Neku nor admit he actually cares and wants to be friends for whatever complicated reason he cant. But I believe if whatever wasnt holdin him back he would have joined Neku and the others and the two would’ve reconciled, which is mostly my basis for shipping it lol.

Sormik, its literally canon nobody can convince me otherwise, they have every bit of confirmation minus only an official statement sayin their endgame but honestly who needs that? anyone who’s played the game and watched the anime KNOWS these two are way more than friends and way more than brothers.

Kokichi x Shuichi, like JoshNeku this is a very complex and complicated ship, theres alot of flaws in it but also a ton of possibility. I feel like these two had a chance but missed it because Kokichi was such a constant liar and Shuichi never actually tried to understand him or give him the benefit of the doubt despite him trying to be a better detective, he failed to properly investigate Kokichi and get to the bottom of why he is the way he is and what his true motives were and instead rushed to assume the worst of him, doubting him till the very end. This ship is even more tragic than JoshNeku whereas Joshua and Neku ended up genuinely caring about eachother despite their messed up history, Shuichi completely gave up on Kokichi and vice versa, but you could tell the two did genuinely wanna get along with and get to know one another but simply couldnt because of the constant misunderstandings. Shuichi got impatient with Kokichi and gave up and Kokichi lost hope in befriending Shuichi and gave up on letting anyone in on his plans and resolved to die alone hated by everyone even the one person he had hoped would understand him. Their story is super tragic with so much untapped potential I cant help enjoying it. You could say Im over analyzing and sure maybe in a way I am but thats just how I see it.

Videl x Gohan, this one needs no explanation we all know this is one of the most healthiest if not THE healthiest non problematic ship in the entire DBZverse, its just so wholesom and pure theres really nothing bad to say about it. The one gripe I and many others have is Videl losing her drive as a fighter and retiring to being a housewife, not that being a housewife is bad its just given her potential beforehand and this being a shounen manga its not unusual for us to have expected more for her than just being a housewife. As for Gohan he is father and husband of the year, a million times better than his father was, this is why ppl need to stop sleepin on Chichi because she raised her son right, to be a real man and take care of his family. Gohan may be rusty and takin Ls now on the battlefield but atleast when he comes home he tends to his family instead of going to 10 different planets and mentors trying to get stronger while neglecting his wife and kid in the process.

Kokichi Ouma isn't a compulsive liar

and I'm making this post because im tired of people referring to him as such. this isnt directed at any particular person or post, i just wanted to respond to a general trend ive noticed!

first of all, lets define what exactly a "compulsive liar" is. when looking into it as a clinical term, the consensus seemed to be "medical professionals cant decide if theres a difference between pathological lying & compulsive lying, or whether its even a real thing," which wasnt very helpful, so i decided to just look at the words individually. a compulsion is defined as "an irresistible urge to behave in a certain way, especially against one's conscious wishes." in this case, that irresistible urge would be lying.

Kokichi doesn't really fit that description.

him having a compulsion would mean that he lies randomly, all the time, for no reason- and that he has little control over it. his lies, generally speaking, fall into two categories: IMPULSIVE, and SCRIPTED. in the context of the killing game, a lot of his lies are more of the scripted variety- planned, with the intention of accomplishing a specific goal. (example of a scripted lie: claiming to be the mastermind.) additionally, its important to bring up his strategic usage of telling the truth. in more important/serious scenes, he often tells the truth, knowing it will be assumed to be a lie. (example of strategic use of the truth: insisting that watching all of the motive videos together would be the best move for the group.) if his lying was compulsive, this would be much more difficult for him to do.

impulsive lies are the smaller things, the things that dont matter in the grand scheme of his plan, for the most part. (example of an impulsive lie: telling Kaede that they already knew each other during her FTEs with him.) he does this in the main game, but its even clearer in his ftes and the bonus modes, because of the lack of the killing game's atmosphere. he'll say some random bullshit and then roll with it. but its not a compulsion, and hes capable of telling the truth when he chooses to. in both circumstances, he tells the truth decently often, since he knows that everyone took the statement "im a liar!" at face value; he can safely tell the truth knowing that people will think he's lying anyways.

lying is both a tool and a coping mechanism for Kokichi, but it is not a compulsion. it is an active choice he makes, to serve a variety of purposes.

Shuichi Saihara:

💙When he was trying to fall asleep in the room next to yours, he kept hearing whimpering with the occasional sniffle and gasp fro breath.

💙Being the loving partner he is, Shuichi makes his way over to your room and lightly chaps at the door, cooing that hes going to enter the room.

💙You sit up in an effort to seem like you just happened to have a night terror, but Shuichi could see you were going through a lot by how exhausted you were.

💙He approaches you slowly, making sure to stay within your line of vision to show he was still there, and he asks for permission to hold you.

💙He takes on board whatever you say/request him to do, and he reassures you that he will be there for support.

Kaito Momota:

💜Kaito was a night owl, and he was coming back from another late night out.

💜That was another night he failed to let you know about.

💜After the outing, Kaito makes his way to the room you were in to make sure you were alright.

💜He could tell you only recently fell asleep, and he recognised how wet the pillow was,, as well as your tear staines face and your heavy breathing.

💜He could tell you were just finished crying.

💜This wasnt the first time he saw your pillow wet, but he always assumed it was just drooling. It made more sense for the source of wetness being from your eyes due to where the stains on your face were.

💜The next morning, Kaito got up early which was rare.

💜He made you breakfast in the morning, as well as doing everything he could to show you how much he loved you.

💜He loves you so much the meal was actually nice to eat, and it didnt look too bad for Kaito standards.

Kokichi Ouma:

🖤He wasn't the kind of guy to show much emotions, well not vulnerable moments anyway.  The few times he would were often when he was away from the public eye.

🖤You were like that as well. It was most likely a part of why Kokichi trusted you that little bit more.

🖤With trust came mandatory concern with your problems - he knew you hid stuff, like he did.

🖤So when he heard you crying from the other side of the room, Kokichis found enough confidence to stroll over in an effort to cheer you up.

🖤He didnt know what to do, so he rubbed your shoulders and started doing asmr (think those satirical yet soothing ones that just make you laugh out of how stupid the words were)

🖤Somehow this worked. You were relaxed enough to fall asleep eventually.

Rantaro Amami:

💚Rantaro had his fair shares of sleepless nights, for various reasons.

💚He knows how unreasonable some crying fits can be, going as far as coming out of nowhere when they are the least convenient.

💚When he notices the bed shaking he knows whats up. Turning over, he shoogles you in an attempt to ground you.

💚He gets you to answer questions that are easy to answer, like where you are and who he is.

💚When you become more focused, rantaro is open for what you want to do for emotional support.

Gonta Gokuhara:

❣️Gonta wasnt the best at understanding how to approach someone having a mental breakdown, let alone before falling asleep.

❣️He did know that hugs helped you with feeling better, so when he hears you cry, he holds you in his arms, rubbing your back gently.

❣️You reciprocate the gesture, and you gradually become more stable.

❣️You fall asleep in Gontas arms.

Ryoma Hoshi:

💙He isnt a very touchy feely person, but damn is he good with his words.

💙Actions may speak louder than words, but if he was to use actions the neighbours would be making metaphorical noise complaints because of his actions.

💙Ryoma had been experienced with dealing with tragedies, and although it tore him up to hear your cries during the night he knew you needex someone to talk to.

💙He was the person to talk to for support, and you gradually built more trust in him.

Korekiyo Shinguuji:

🧡Most likely out of the bunch to apply the theories he has learnt about sleeping and crying, creating many possibilities and deducting what to do based on his calculations.

🧡He brings up your crying before sleeping, and you talk through your feelings with him. He gazes intently, savouring every word that escapes your lips.

🧡After you finish talking, he waits a minute to make a mindmap of your situations.

🧡Somehow managed to create a good action plan to counteract the darkness that consumed you as you fell asleep.

Keebo:

💛He was aware of the phenomenon of crying yourself to sleep, so he knew what you were doing.

You grip the pillow above your head and let out a long, drawn out moan that signals Ryoma to continue what he was doing.

He pauses when there’s a knock on your door, his eyes meeting yoursquestioningly. Considering you were only half-dressed and he had yet to removea single item of clothing, he took the liberty to answer the door and politely asked foryou to wait there.

Ryoma was met with the face of your unhappy neighbor, who crossed their armsand scowled at the Tennis Player. Not in the mood for any of this, he simplyraises a brow and bluntly mutters, “What do you want?” 

Insulted, they go off about how they’ve filed a noise complaint to your landlord and how they could hear everything you two were doing, going so far to call your acts disgusting and begging you to keep it down next time.

Ryoma’s face remains expressionless and unimpressed, and he calmly, silently waits until they were done. Once they finally finished, and threatened him with a noise complaint one last time, he slams the door in their face and promptly locks it.

They stand in place, shocked by his reaction. Ryoma chuckles to himself as he can hear them demand he opens the door and spews even more nasty threats at him, rattling the door-handle as he walks away completely unfazed.

ok so ive been thinking abt rantaro and trying to write this post for three full days as of today (tuesday) so just take this word vomit from me please

so on his tvtropes someone very wisely pointed out that they promised him all of these perks and the opportunity to end the killing game should he start the game again but they had no intention of keeping him alive that long... iirc his room is the last open (either his or kokichi’s) and you find his video in his room (: so they literally handed him this ‘perk’ before he went into the other killing game and just. weren’t going to give it to him. it wasnt like he was murdered by just anyone and it couldve happened at any time yk??? one of the literal showrunners killed him off because they KNEW he wanted to end the killing game and even THEN! they opened his room last JUST IN CASE!

which leads me to believe that rantaro is entirely capable of ending the killing game, too, right? i know it can be said that anyone is capable of ending the killing game but surely in order to do so you’d have to figure out that it’s a tv show y’know? like... rantaro’s first killing game abides exactly by ALL of the rules i dont know if its canon that tsumugi was the other survivor or if thats sm i just made up and then decided i hated but lets say its not canon he and these two other survivors (if yall wanna make an oc for them wink wink) followed ALL the rules joined together in HOPE at the end to save each other and they rebelled against the killing game thus giving the audience hope and then rantaro was like this ends here this ends with me and he tried!! he tried so hard to end everything by VOLUNTEERING HIMSELF TO GO THROUGH IT ALL AGAIN AND SAVING THE OTHERS!!!! imagine how WILD the audience went when rantaro said that he’d do it again!!!!! (NOTE: the ‘important part’ of the killing game he talks about is obvs that the game can end early, but only two students can truly escape as the others will have to do a killing game

AND! in his VIDEO, he SAYS that people would gun for him should they know -- i think, to some degree, rantaro knows that the mastermind is just WAITING for the opportunity to kill him yk? and ofc he has no idea who the mastermind is gonna use against him in this brand new killing game... he knows that theyre gna wipe his memory before he goes in (as he says in his video) and he knows he needs to lay it out for himself. ‘you can’t share this with anyone’ because he knows future-him isnt gna know what the mastermind looks like or who they are or if they’re using someone else! he knows he’s going to feel isolated and lonely (’if you catch monokuma shooing anyone away from you’) and ALSO knows that his future self is going to need to be reassured!! 

i think rantaro assumed they were gonna give him a fighting chance, y’know? that’s why he talks as if his future self has found the video really early on in the game. sidenote im rewatching the video as i type this and i HATE the way he talks it feels so... impersonal rantaro really believes that he’s a different person thanks to his memories of the killing game! and once they’ve been taken from him, he’s going to be someone else all over again! 

‘hey, you’re smart. i know you can do it.’ uuugh i love you amami... his choice of words ‘you survived the last killing game’ leads me to think he did NOT in fact win! and ‘you wanted this killing game’ is both like... so telling (he wanted to end it but not only that he wanted to BE THE ONE to end it) but also so sinister (wrt him being just another high schooler that sent in an audition tape yknow?) 

all of that being SAID, back to my point that i made three paragraphs ago, i think rantaro COULD learn that it’s a tv show. i think he has that capability. he’s smart, and he’s been around this block once before -- if he found his video and thought about it and was more aware of his surroundings as a result, i think he’d manage to come to the conclusion that there were, indeed, spectators -- but the key thing here that separates his ‘being smart’ from kokichi’s ‘being genius’ is that it takes ran TWO killing games to sus that out to even the tiniest extent and it takes kokichi what like ten minutes

How the DRV3 boys react to their s/o doing something embarrassing in public, but their s/o isn’t embarrassed nor aware of the unnecessary unwanted attention they’ve drawn around them?

Shuichi Saihara

- He would try to point out what your doing but would think he’d come off as a bit of a jerk

- So, he would just wait till you were done. Found himself chuckling to how much people are staring

- Not laughing at you, but just laughing because he’s glad he isnt the only one to find you this intresting

- Would try as gently as he could that what you were doing. Says that hes not embarassed by you. Not at all!

- He’s just trying to look out for you

Kaito Momata

- He would literally LOL and tell you straight forward what you were doing

- He’s a bit oblivious to how loud he was saying it, and saw a few stares at the both of you

- Expect over 100 apologizes from him after this

- Trys the be as quiet and subtle as he can whenever something like that happens again

- Oh, and if you think he’s embarassed of you, dont. No matter what you do, he’ll always love you

Kokichi Ouma

- He would cover his huge grin under his weird scarf thingy as you did it

- Would record a bit of it on his phone and would send you it whenever he felt it was appropriate (which was a lor actually)

- When people started to laugh at you though, he interveined. Not at you, at the people

- “Excuse me you rude asshole, but people make mistakes, which is why your dressed like that today. Now please run alaong now~”

- After that whole incident, he told you upfront if you were doing something like that again. Wouldnt want anymore of those RUDE people around again

Ramtaro Amami

- He would be straight forward with you

- They way he said it though made it feel like “Oh, I got something in my teeth” kinda feeling, even though it was bigger han that

- Acted casual when you regained composure and played it off like it was nothing

- When asked if he was embarassed of you he said: “Well, it was a bit much, yes, but I wouldnt be embarassed of you. You looked like you didnt know about it, so its not like its intentional.”

- His exterior was so kind and gentle, you just had to hug him

Kiibo

- He just assumed that it was something you planned in all honesty

- Likes to observe you alot to see what you like, so he just thought it was one of those things

- Recorded it so he could study how you were during it, until he saw people staring and lauhing

- He pieced it together quickly and jumped into action, telling you waaay to upfront but not too loud

- Made sure to tell you if something like that ever happens again. He also deleted the video, but not before watching it a few times to get make himself chuckle and feel happy

Gonta Gokuhara 

- Gonta isnt too familiar with “embarassment”. Knows what it means, but doesnt know when and how to feel it most of the times

- When its happening, he just kinda accepts it. Doesnt really see it as an issue tbh

- If people stare and laugh, he’s clueless. Asks you why you think their doing this

- When he realizes that you were doing something “embarassing”, he freaked out a little and picked you up and ran off

- Scolded himself for not doing the gentleman thing and tell you first thing. Made sure to always keep an eye on you 24/7 now. He cares for you too much to let that happen again

Ryoma Hoshi

- He would be upfront and tell you then and there

- Anyone who dare make a glance at you after that deals with him

- Made sure to tell you that he’ll always watch out for you even more from now on

- “Nothing fazes me much, so dont worry bout thinking you were embarassing me or anything”

- His main concern is if your ok. Thats his top priority. Always

Korekiyo Shinguuji

- He wanted to tell you, but found it quite fascinating that you werent aware of your actuons for so long

- Was caught staring at you by others, and they didnt know if you knew him or if he was a creep

- Had to be snapped out of it by you asking if he was alright, cause he stared for a solid minute

- He didnt even tell you about the embarassing thing, because quite frankly, he didnt find it that embarassing

- He did tell you the next time it hapoens though. Because he doesnt want to have people stare at you with judgement in their eyes. He would have fury and silent rage in his eyes as he stared at anyone who looked at you like that

- Having a scary looking BF could be useful sometimes huh?

1. leon: hes probably just a commoner in the main games but he also knows full well he’s not all that useful in puzzles that don’t require just pure brute strength... he’s also kind of a coward so he’d definitely see if he can strike up a partnership w a stronger player? i dont mind if he gets killed off but he isnt particularly abrasive just kind of dumb and defensive thus suspicious. he can partake in russian roulette just to establish that he cant handle stress and i kind of want him to have a motive to get tf out in kanon. he’s not fantastic at switching tokens but he’s okay... middle-ish

2. santa: on the other hand he IS abrasive. santa is loud and defensive and smart, which can’t always be good mixes yk?he gets genuinely angry in main games when things seem obvious to him but other people don’t just agree with him. there’s also the small matter of him being able to send information to snake via morphonogenic fields, so if he’s ever the sage, snake would also know who the keymaster is. santa is super useful thanks to him already having done a death game -- he’s good at this. he’s basically counting on his usefulness to keep him alive, in contrast to leon. hes gotta get back to akane at the end of the day he cares NOUGHT abt all these ppl. probably finds the 200 vending machine and the switch in his character (from him being all irritable to wanting to trade tokens w everyone) is cause for concern 

3. byakuya: is an asshole!!! he has to survive bc thats the entire point of his character -- he’s supposed to be the kind of hatesink that just keeps weaselling his way through -- but i’m not opposed to having him in some really sticky situations, because, well, he’s suspicious!! he’s also a really good barterer, so i can’t see the token game being a trouble for him at all. byakuya’s biggest issue is probably going to be people voting for him bc they hate him and ESP w ch2 having the card swapping dynamic he might be in danger there. he also has the impostor to argue with which is just delicious... he also can lie all he likes. i really want both a ‘i see. so now the suspicion falls on me’ moment AND a ‘how can you know what i don’t know?’ moment...

4 & 5. the twins: they cause a massive stir in the first main game, as kaoru is the sacrifice and hikaru is the sage, but they basically impersonate each other, trying to make everyone vote for kaoru-as-hikaru (whom they think is the sage) when he’s actually the sacrifice so they can escape together. this plan falls through obviously and kaoru is killed, but not before he tells hikaru to exist independently and not just as a ~twin~. hikaru basically has a meltdown and becomes unresponsive for a long while, going off by himself and ignoring the group, but he’s smart, kind of devilish, and he might just find something. not gonna lie he’s drawn to kokichi after kaoru dies which makes him very dangerous

6. peko: basically fucks up another main game in a valiant effort to save fuyuhiko and herself. i assume their relationship follows the same misunderstanding as it does in-game, and she takes this to mean that she must act like she doesnt know him but still continue her duties as a ‘tool’ -- she either is the sacrifice or convinces everyone else that fuyuhiko is the keymaster or something, putting herself on the chopping block to keep him alive. it appears she’s aloof, but friendly to everyone else -- nope! she’s faking it to get them all to trust her so she can betray them for fuyuhiko.

7. keebo: is a doll!! the entire time!! it takes some huge reveal to sell him out to everyone but even he doesnt know hes a doll until he’s told!! has a proper meltdown because of it and basically asks to be voted to be killed because ‘i know that my will is my own.’ he wants to save his friends... he loves them real human love and thats all he needed!! hes so cute geez. he doesnt get tokens unless theyre given to him and he never ever lies in a trial thats just how he is 

8. rantaro: a whole freak. hes ~mysterious~ and ~not a bad guy~ (read: someone from HIS previous death game was his partner in the first trial and he let them die bc they were nasty and evil and bad and he doesnt want that energy)... he’s just trying to keep as much of what he knows a secret as possible and he doesn’t really trust easy but he wants everyone to get out alive!! it’s very rare he loses his temper but when he does it’s over something REALLY big he PROPER loses his mind at the twins when they’re pulling their guessing game and later we find out it’s bc he knows exactly what wanting to save your siblings is like (s/o his sisters i love you)

9. gundham: oh he’s like VOCAL abt how much he doesnt trust everybody? obviously he has his dark lord persona and he’s talking abt how he’ll get out of here alive... he goes head to head with togami a lot... his first trial was that one that you can see on the victim videos where the woman has two guns one loaded one not and he has to shoot himself? he’s very very lucky but that keeps in with his russian roulette in the final dead room... he also is VERY good at the puzzles and will step in to help under the guise of ‘you people are all stupid and this is taking too long’. he gets the least amount of tokens in ch2 bc he makes absolutely no effort.

10. masaru: he’s the hero, obviously. he’s just a babey but he’s really good at like... spacial stuff? obviously he’s not all that bright but bc he’s sporty he’s super good at taking one look at a space and knowing the logistics of the room, where people need to be... it also makes him FANTASTIC at attractions if we look at it from a gameplay standpoint masaru is like a walking easy ticket yknow?? i also think he’s good at trading tokens bc he’s more mature than he seems and can and will catch you off guard in order to trade with you. masaru looooooves toko but he also loves leon and souda and gundham. he also wants to try quark’s hat on id love for him to tell me abt the actual game but yknow
