Concept for a lynx piñata cause I love Viva Piñata and I love lynxes and I think those two things should go together.
I also love moths so totally self indulgent drawing of the lynx and a mothdrop
#fun fact I actually dislike licorice#but no other candy went so well with lynx so it stayed#(I did look at the wikipedia list of candy and woah there's a lot of different types of candy)#I'm actually quite proud of the design (especially the sour one look at it it's so funky!!!!)#designing in the style of viva piñata was a fun challenge#the brainstorming was great too#but for some reason I got stuck with the rendered painting of the piñata house and three months had to pass until I could come back#the funny thing is that my art style changed a bit between those two last drawings#and I drew like 50 drawings inbetween them counting by the stuff in my folder#anyways this is for me and for you fellow viva piñata fans#maybe I'll draw more of this guy since I like their design a lot#I actually doubt we would get a lynx piñata if another game came out since there are at least 3 kitty piñatas#but that's exactly why I'm drawing this#viva piñata#viva pinata#vp mothdrop#vp#mothdrop#lynx#cinnamon's doodles

I went into bg3 fully ready to have a good time and have done so despite many ways in which the game is not good and have not worried too much over various dramas about patch changes but my chill streak has finally ended and I am wailing gnashing my teeth etc. about patch 7 (the supposedly final one with story/content changes) not adding companion reactivity for any of the durge content in act 2
#gotta regain my chill about this. it doesn't change the good version of bg3 that exists in my head#but like. durge is literally the protagonist character. and a huge chunk of story is just bizarrely missing from act two#all the baddies recognize you and no one reacts#warden says you were an important guest no one reacts#kressa says she had a great time torturing you for weeks no one reacts#and it's so misaligned with companion reactivity for everything else. like#I am one of those players who goes around the camp circle talking to every single companion after anything even mildly important happens#to hear the couple of lines of dialogue they have about it#because they've got a couple of lines of dialogue about every plot development and significant moment in other companion storylines!#but they don't have a single word for enormous central plotline revelations about the player character#it makes the act 3 reactions bizarre too because everyone's shocked by what gortash says and it's like#literally everyone in moonrise was like 'oh hey it's you again' what did you THINK 😭#a lot of people complain about the resist!durge final scene after killing orin being lackluster#and yeah sure I feel it's lacking in a few ways but like. at least it exists.#a cutscene does play and afterwards the companions do react. ymmv on whether those reactions are impactful or fitting#but they do--crucially--exist#whereas in act 2 there is straight up nothing#when people say right in front of the companions 'hello fellow villain fancy seeing you back here again'#there is not even so much as a 'dude are you okay' after kressa talks about keeping durge prisoner and torturing them#okay okay it's fine I'm getting it out of my system I'm gonna be normal about this again#the companions had reactions in the good version that exists in my head 😔#scribblingface plays bg3#okay actually also like larian has made so many changes based on fans complaining a lot about something#often changes that made the complaining people happy but pissed off everyone who already liked the current version#not weighing in on the merit of various specifics but it has struck me as a sometimes odd and unwise degree of#listening to what the players want. like just tell your story and accept that some parts won't please everyone#but THIS THING is universally agreed on by every durge player#because it's not something 'wrong' it's something completely absent that should have been there in order to align with the rest of the game#and yet. we don't get this change in the final update.

With how much I loathe Netflixvania, I am on my knees begging that they stop after Nocturne with Castlevania adaptations because I don't want to see them massacre any more of my precious, already well-designed children. It's akin to a predator destroying the whole bloody food chain just because it thinks it's better than everyone else.
Can you imagine if they messed around with Shanoa and Albus? Or even worse, Charlotte and Jonathan? My soul shudders at the thought.

My brain created an entire gacha game for my dream last night and honestly I'm sad it's not real.
#it was like limbus in that it was darker and les fan service-y#but some of the designs looked straight out of the popular open world gacha game#not saying the name because yeah#the game basically had three differnt storylines#each one was based on what your job in the group#it was manager member or doctor (these are the basic idea behind them)#the characters you rolled the gacha for were called animates (like animated)#they were basically constructs made from bodies magic and the corpses of fellow animates to fight off an evil group seeking world destructio#in the 3 separate jobs you basically got treated differently by the animates and they had different abilities#in the 'manager' role you are a person recruited by the group that controls the animates#you were recruited for your effective leadership ability and are assigned an ever changing team of animates#you basically go through a similar battle system as most phone gacha games#with the 'member' role you *are* an animate#you get to see the horrifying nature of the animates' creation as the first animate and get a glimpse at the doctor role#a similar battle style to the last one but you control a singular animate and are in first person#the 'doctor' role is where the darkness of the game is turned up to an eleven#you play as the current person who brings the animates to life#you of course are an animate yourself but of the one who created the animates#you can't remember anything before you became an animate yourself but it doesn't matter to you#you act as the 'doctor' putting animates back together and even creating new ones from the fallen#your relationship with the animates is bad they see you as a monster with some even refusing to speak to you#the gameplay would be repairing or putting back together the animates after battles#how well you did in the manager role is taken and used for the doctor role#basically you play a manager level then play a doctor level and repeat#the member levels are a secondary story that is slightly off and is unlocked when the main story is near completion#it reveals that the organization you work under didn't create the animates and are using them to fight the group that did#however that group isn't evil and are in fact trying to stop your organization from committing their crimes against humanity#yeah this is alot but it is part my dream and part me expanding upon the concept#i really want to either make it or make a fake version of it#undercover speaks

today, something a little out of the ordinary: puppets!
i'd posted these dudes to patreon ages ago, but i think it's time they see the light of day over here as well. i'm a big fan of puppets and i enjoy crochet, so when i finally realized i could combine these things it was a game changer. i've made a small handful of these fellows now, but unfortunately they're hard to display and harder to photograph, so they rarely see the light of day. however i often need something to keep my hands busy while i'm in meetings or class, so i keep on crocheting them. these two are a dragon and some kind of floppy-eared monster.
i work without a pattern and with absolutely horrendous form, so they're not the prettiest pieces of crochet work out there, but that adds character
