Forever mad that Maysilee never got to learn that Haymitch blew up the arena not once but TWICE. Maysilee, so intent on making a stand, so mad when she thought Haymitch wouldn't anymore. Imagine her face when Haymitch threw that last bomb she should have been allowed to witness that she would have been so proud

After meeting her stark, gray eyes he immediately looked back down. It was like fate, the way their eyes met, and he began imagining the colors he’d have to mix to accomplish the unique gray of her irises– No. This is exactly the kind of thinking that affected his work. Peeta was not here to romanticize. This was just art class, one he might fail if he didn’t get it together and just sketch the girl with her bow.

did we just witness Proserpina Trinket using her great-aunt’s money to send Haymitch his comfort meal after Maysilee’s death? She gave Haymitch her favorite ice creem to make him feel better just like a child offering their favorite stuffed toy :(

But there were days, sunsoaked and sweet, where they would be a little bit foolish. A little bit forgetful, if only for a moment. No one needed to know.

i needed more silly and sweet odesta in my life, so i had commissioned @charlunday to create this lovely little piece, with the inspiration being a photo lifted from my ship board for them on pinterest. let them be young and ridiculous, you know?

One part of Katniss' character that I think is underrated is her lack of anger towards the undeserving.

While she does have a lot of misconceptions (especially of D2, imo), she never has full-on hatred for those who are victims, too. With Cato, she was full of fear and sometimes payback, but she was never hateful towards him. He was tortured, too. Finnick, at first, she was just uncomfortable and assumed he was full of himself, but she never hated him. These are characters that she was so sure would kill her, but she still never had any true hate towards.

Katniss' anger is justified to those she feels it for (Snow), and when it is hatred, she knows where it needs to go and who it's for.

He’s dozed off again, but I kiss him awake, which seems to startle him. Then he smiles as if he’d be happy to lie there gazing at me forever.

“It’s not necessary. My nightmares are usually about losing you,” he says. “I’m okay once I realize you’re here.”

And one I can’t place — perhaps this is how I looked when his fever was high — emerging from a silver gray mist that matches my eyes exactly.

Peeta says it will be okay. We have each other.

There’s something special about Peeta waking up from various nightmares and states of delirium and always feeling better when Katniss is there —culminating in waking up from the Hijacking and thinking she and him having each other is enough for their precious children to learn about the nightmares they’ve lived.

I feel like Haymitch would definitely screw around with Katniss during paranormal investigating. I feel like he would, then of course Peeta would tag along and would be a little confused by it.

Peeta would then ask “If there’s any ghosts in this room, are you alive or dead?” because I feel like he wouldn’t know what ghosts are. He would think they would be something else. I don’t know just a funny idea

I know as a fandom we loooove to speculate about “and after” but after my recent series reread I don’t think we went hard ENOUGH

Did you SEE what they went through? You think the second that no one has a camera trained on them, no one has any expectations of them, they wouldn’t just do it? All the time???

Two trauma riddled young adults who never were able to experience normal teenage years?? Oh it’s ON.

It’s a miracle they actually only had two kids and I blame trauma and age induced infertility.

Freshly hijacked Peeta was confused about nights on the train but he must have been just as confused about the not shiny memory of Finnick kissing him in the arena.

I find it hilarious to imagine Peeta having a similar "What are we?" conversation with Finnick.

As someone who has a joy of accuracy and prefers accuracy, this burns my eyes. It’s not the actress, but the armor. Why does the chariot armor for demigod children look very medieval knight like? Does Disney even know that hoplites existed? Disney seriously take notes. For any Greek mythological adaptation, they could’ve just used pottery art and research

Also dig deeper into hoplites and Ancient Greek entertainment.

The amount of slack, inaccuracies, and disrespect for a culture that we as a society got inspiration on is this, is shameful.
