no for real though i am obsessed with it the way i am obsessed with all his little non verbal encouragers, and the way he kind of savours the sound of them as he utters them?? (he does the same with certain words too and i am if possible even more obsessed with that 😭) but yeah, i feel like there’s definitely an undertone of irritation or impatience here that gives this little 'mhmm' a slight edge - which, jesus christ. is NOT surprising given the literal everything about this interview. but yeah, i love how much expressiveness he injects into that one little sound. i love HIM 😭😭

I wish we had gotten to see more domestic moments between Louis and Lestat. Ik they aren't 'important' to the overall story but it's just like... pls.

What's worse is when we get Claudia's POV in ep 4 we actually see the outskirts of some domestic moments between them -when louis tells her no running in the house he and lestat are sitting on the couch together calmly talking, on her 17th birthday we see them singing happy birthday and then dancing together in the courtyard- so we KNOW these moments are happening, we just don't get to see them because Louis is to preoccupied with the pain. Which, fair, but still I wanna see them doing stuff together without the curtain of pain

#thinking about how louis and or lestat love seeing movies together #was there ever a moment where louis laid on lestats chest on the couch while he read a book? no noise but the sound a pages turning and #the crackle of the fireplace? lestat is mom coded in the way that he never wanted claudia, but grew to love her in a twisted way. he is mom coded in the sense that he questions what he could've done differently but will ultimately never be self aware enough to know. he is mom coded in the way that he cannot stand claudia but also will never let her leave the nest, and in the way he claims it is for the benefit of her father, his husband, their glue. lestat is mom coded because despite everything, when claudia is finally too far away for him to follow, all he can do is worry after what's left of her.
