I love your writings and I was wondering if you can write a scenario how y/n and Daniel met for the first time. Perhaps as the tension between them is building up, the reader thinks that Daniel likes her older friend, she’s near his age, instead but Daniel proves her wrong. Perhaps they met at the paddock and she was an invited guest etc. I can see Daniel teasing and being shameless with her making her flustered.

These are such good ideas for how Daniel and Sweets met! Sadly though her being a guest at a race wouldn't work since the timeline has them meeting in January of 2022. And while I like the idea of her thinking that Daniel has a thing for an older friend, a big thing in their relationship is just how honest and upfront they are with what they want and when in their lives. (might steal that idea though for a completely separate fic)

“I liked your album.” She jumps a little at the sound of a voice so close to her and the chair opposite her is being pulled out. A somewhat familiar face sitting across from her. “Sorry.” He chuckles. “I just recognized you and wanted you to know.” She shakes her, giving him a smile and closing the notebook where she had been trying to write something. “Don’t apologize.” She looks around the exclusive club just for celebrities, that during the daytime like now was a place for them to come and chill. Coffee and pastries being served instead of liquor.

She looks back at him, face so familiar but she can’t place it. “I’m sorry. I know I’ve seen you before, but I can’t place it.” He laughs, waving off her apology. “Daniel Ricciardo, F1 driver.” “F1.” Her eyes are wide and now she can remember his face from random tweets about Taylor and athletes that liked her music. “Impressive.” “You don’t know anything about it, do you?” She smiles apologetically again. “No, I don’t.” She lets out a little laugh. “I do know that it's elite, mainly European, right?” “New to North America for sure. I could give you a crash course about it.” He offers. “In exchange for?” She asks, feeling a wide grin spread across her face. “Release date for new music?” She shakes her head. “Nothing planned yet.” He looks disappointed and she can’t help but want that look to disappear from his face.

“How about you give me a crash course on F1 and I’ll give you a sneak peek of the song I’m currently working on.” “Really?” He asks, perking up instantly. She nods, “yeah.” “Ya free now?” She glances down at her notebook, where she’d been struggling to write something for the near hour she’d been here. “Yeah. Tell me all about F1.”

I was originally making William into Sebster, plus Nardo's face shape worked a lot more for William than it did for Sebs, and could I have just imported a whole new face in there? yea, but it would have taken longer, may not have looked great... plus I accepted that in the end, I do afterall headcanon Bassy to be Grelle's side toy while Will is her main. so she would want this.
