Recent Egg Developments, How I Feel About It, and What I'm Doing After

Alright I'm gonna stop being sad for like two minutes, or at least long enough to explain what exactly happened for those who missed it

So we had the Murder Mystery Event today, and a lot of people showed up. It was really fun, and we really enjoyed it

And then, after it was over, Richarlyson informed us that he was leaving QSMP. He did not give a reason as far as I know, and I don't think it's smart or fair to speculate. I have my own ideas as to why, but I know that sharing them wouldn't be productive

Not long after, over on Phil's stream, Chayanne and Lullah informed us that they were leaving as well. They did talk pretty vaguely about "The next time they wake up," but this could have likely been some flowery language and not literal. There's a strong chance they will not wake up in QSMP again

As of now, Pepito and Leo are the only Eggs confirmed to still be part of the project, but I'm not really sure what the future will hold for them

Like I said before, I am personally hoping this is a sort of indefinite hiatus. Like they're leaving and there's a strong chance they won't come back, but there could be a non-zero chance sometime in the future. I would not get my hopes up for this though, because the chances of that happening are most likely very slim

I am honestly really sad about this development, but we all knew this couldn't last forever. I wish we had a better resolution, but this is how things are for now. I don't know if this is related to the Admin Situation or not, but again, since that hasn't been confirmed, we shouldn't speculate. It's just as possible that they felt they were done with this chapter of their life, which is entirely fair. I will never hold this decision against them, and I really hope others don't either. I wish them the best, and I wish you all the best as well, QSMPblr

Because I'm honestly not sure where I'm gonna go from here. Chayanne and Lullah were a huge reason I was so invested with QSMP, and the same goes for all the other Eggs. And while I'd love to say that I'll definitely stick around 100%, I'm just not sure I'll do that. I guess we'll see, but if I start petering out after this, know that I had a hell of a time over here

I've never been part of a fandom to this capacity before, and I had a hell of a time. Theorizing, ranting, sharing my thoughts, it was all a blast. And I wanna say that I might not have interacted with others due to anxiety, but I was always so happy to see that people liked what I had to say, and seeing that some people were coming back for it, or going through my blog and liking everything. I may have never said anything, but I saw you, and I appreciate you all so much

I might start talking about more non-QSMP Stuff here too, so if anyone who followed me JUST for QSMP, sorry. But I don't want this blog to die out, because it's been such a fun chapter for me. It might be a new chapter now, but I'm still gonna be here for it

when Kuroko has a crush on someone, it's not so obvious at first; in fact, the only clue that he has feelings stronger for you than simple friendship are the little actions he does for you that he doesn't do for anyone else

they're small actions that could simply be mistaken for him considering you a close friend – letting you borrow his jacket when you were cold, purchasing your favorite snacks from the convenience store as a surprise

the day you confess to him, it's more than obvious that you're nervous – how could you not be, because the way he treated you, you thought he only saw you as a friend

Kuroko knew he was staring, knew that it was making your already fried nerves work in overdrive, but he couldn't tear his eyes away from your form. He was surprised, somehow not expecting you to reciprocate his feelings — even more surprised that you had confessed them first. But above all else, he was delighted.

"____-san," he called your name, interrupting your nervous, rambling confession. "I feel the same way."

Kise

in contrast to his light-blue haired friend, when Kise has a crush on someone, it is very obvious; he's clingy and flirty and always wanting to be the subject of your attention

to be frank, Kise would probably want to ask you out long before you came to the conclusion that you reciprocated his feelings – at least, he would have if he didn't think it would jeopardize your already great friendship with him

your confession to him comes randomly in the form of a question – "why aren't we dating?" – and it catches him completely off guard; you'd never heard Kise so quiet before

"Wait, wait, wait," Kise repeated himself, holding a hand up like he could pause your train of thought. "Are you saying you like me, too?"

When what he received in return from you was an affirmative answer, Kise feels overjoyed. His arms are instantly wrapped around you in the next moment, pulling you close. He had to resist the urge to kiss your cheek — didn't want to move too quickly — and you practically have to tear him off you at the end of the night because of how much he's clinging now.

Kasamatsu

you were his good friend and he was comfortable around you... until the day he wasn't; the day Kasamatsu realizes he has stronger feelings for you is the day you think he wants to end the friendship for good

he's suddenly embarrassed every time you catch his eye, he starts avoiding you more often, and he can't seem to talk to you without sounding angry – he's not angry at you though, he's angry at himself for his sudden 180 in how he treated you; why did it feel different now that he liked you like that?

you corner him one day, angry that he'd been ignoring you, and when you grilled him about his recent behavior he actually blurts out that he'd been doing it because of his growing feelings for you; your response wasn't what he was expecting – "is that it? I like you, too, dumbass."

For a moment, Kasamatsu seemed to be floundering in front of you, mouth agape as a red hue flooded his face. His pulse had been quick when you cornered him, then it felt like it had stopped the moment of your confession. Now? Now it felt like it was working double time — this couldn't be good for his heart.

With a cough behind a closed fist, Kasamatsu glanced off to the side before speaking. "Well, that's... good. That's good." He doesn't know what else to say however — now he was even more confused on how he should move forward with treating you.

Aomine

he's almost in denial with himself when he realizes he has feelings for you; the two of you had been friends for so long, practically since you were babies, so he didn't know when he stopped seeing you as a friend and started seeing you as more

he actually starts treating you just a little meaner, making snarky comments and trash talking the things you enjoy, but you're used to his shitty attitude and take it in stride – it actually ends up making him like you more

the day you confess to him actually has him confused, because how could you like someone who treated you so rudely, but he can't deny that it also makes his stomach fill with butterflies

"You must be some kind of masochist then," he commented, trying to hide the erratic thumping of his heart behind a sly smirk. "Don't think I'll be treating you any differently now that we're dating."

But the way you were looking at him, all smiles and teasing looks as you said you wouldn't have it any other way, made you seem so much more alluring to Aomine. As he stepped forward, one hand reached out to tilt your chin up so he could press his lips against yours better, a thought crosses his mind — maybe he would be treating you a little bit differently.

Midorima

it's hard to tell when Midorima has a crush on someone; he doesn't treat them that differently from before he liked them because he tends to treat all of his good friends with respect except Takao

he's actually already planning on confessing to you, but he's waiting for the perfect day; his luck has to be perfect, your luck has to be perfect, everything about that day has to be absolutely perfect

so when you confess to him on one of the most unluckiest days he's had that year, he almost feels mocked – almost, if it weren't for the fact your confession had him elated

"You really couldn't have picked any other day," he mused, a small smirk on his features telling you that he really didn't mean the words he said.

Normally, Midorima would be adamant that Oha Asa was never wrong — an unlucky day was supposed to be just that: unlucky. But after your confession, he was starting to think that maybe even his unluckiest of days could have a brighter side to them. He thanked the heavens he was able to afford double of his lucky item that day.

Murasakibara

he gets a little clingy to the object of his affection when he has a crush; he always wants to be around you and wants to be the only person to snag your attention

he tends to get a little whiney when you give other people attention, even if it's just your or his friends, but he's been that way every since you were kids so you're used to that behavior – maybe he's liked you since then?

the day you confess, he takes it so well, it's almost as if he already knew you would be doing it; maybe he already expected this to be the outcome of all his time spent with you

He was already hugging your smaller frame against his when you confessed, so after the words left your lips, Murasakibara's arms only tightened around you. He was pressing his nose against the side of your neck, hiding his expression, but you could feel that lazy grin of his against your skin.

"It's about time, ____-chin," he teased, voice muffled against you. "I was wondering when you'd say something."

Akashi

when Akashi has a crush on someone, he already starts treating them like a potential future spouse; he's a very straight forward person, so he doesn't want to date you just for fun because he's looking for his forever

he treats you better than any other friend he has, constantly making sure you're okay and healthy, keeping you stress free to the best of his abilities, and wanting to help you better yourself – honestly, it's only a little bit more than how he treated you as a best friend

he honestly confesses to you first, but you don't tell him right away that you reciprocate his feelings because you feel like you're not good enough for him – he only seems to catch on to the fact that you do like him back, however

Akashi seemed almost too calm, like he had expected what you were saying. As you finished your confession, tacking on your doubts on your worth to him, he steps forward and places a gentle palm against your cheek. The smile already on his face only softened when you leaned into his touch.

"None of that matters, ____," he reassured. "I like you. And, if I'm not mistaken, you like me too. That. That's all that matters to me."

Hello, friends. I know it's been longer than a hot minute since I actually interacted, and I'm still currently on hiatus, but since I spent a sizable chunk of the past 2 years here, I thought it was a disservice to just up and vanish. I typically keep irl issues off this blog as I like to keep it a place that makes me happy, but the past 6 months have been some of the toughest of my life and I didn't want it creeping onto this space. However, it is currently Ramadan; the month of sincerity, devotion, and reflection. And with Spring just on the horizon, it seems a perfect opportunity to engage in some dual mental and physical declutter.

A lot has been going on around the world lately, and it seems like just keeping up with it all is a full-time job of its own. So much so that keeping up with your own life ends up taking a backseat some days. For myself, I have been working through grief and guilt on a scale that feels simultaneously not enough, and yet unjustified. It's a hard feeling to describe in words and I haven't been exercising my writing muscles lately, so I hope you'll excuse me cutting off here. But in talking with and reconnecting with friends this month, I've learned it's a pretty common feeling with no clear-cut remedy, but there are multiple ways to work through it. Prayer or meditation, taking care of your body, sharing your experiences instead of bottling them up. Whatever you do to re-center yourself and your morals. But the first (and I believe the most important) step is to sincerely admit to yourself that you're not feeling well and that you want to improve. That's a difficult idea to come to terms with, but catching yourself midway through a rough patch is monumentally better than letting yourself sink deeper into despair.

The purpose of this post is not to ask for sympathy towards myself, but to encourage you to take a moment to sympathize with yourself. And if you can't do it alone, find someone you trust to give you a hand. It's ok to not be at your best all of the time. Asking for help is not weakness, it reveals hidden strength. If you take anything from reading this post, I hope it is this.

Aside from that, just a few admin things to finish off. Despite me being a techy person, I'm actually rather inexperienced when it comes to social media and online interactions (if that wasn't obvious). First, I'm very sorry for the pileup of tags and DMs and asks that I haven't responded to. I hope to start on them in April. Next, I recently started a new sideblog for multifandom stuff. It doesn't have much on there, but in case you see a reblog from @bird-on-a-branch down the line, that's me. Lastly, if something I said or did was a slight to anyone here, please accept my apologies. Lots gets lost in context online, and as I said I am not the best with these types of interactions, but I won't use that as an excuse if I hurt someone I consider a friend.

Have you ever scrapped ideas for Sweet & Sour?

Yep!

My process has luckily been more of "transform an idea that doesn't fit" situation for most things, but I'm happy to talk about some of the things that didn't make the cut. Whipping out the notes page...

Lacey was actually meant to be the spotlighted E4 member that gets close to Juliana, not Drayton (hence the focus on her in Chapter 1 & 2). She was actually my favorite at first, and I envisioned her as being a positive, grounding guide for Juliana, and also somewhat of a middle ground influence for Kieran. But then I wrote my spin on the cafeteria scene, and I was like "oh my god wait, Drayton's character is so enticing and flexible, and he's especially fun to insert as an influence in the Kieran/Juliana dynamic". SOOOOOO I quickly decided to pivot and make him the spotlighted one, and have him do more of this brotherly figurer role who was very cunning and comedic. Before I even realized I got overtaken by the iconicism, and now he's just part of my brand in general. Whoops. The "Drayton Being Iconic" tag existed on this blog before this happened so I honestly should've seen it coming LMAO. I do have very important plans for the rest of the E4 and what role they're playing, though :

Don't laugh at this one - it was also early development LOL. I was going to have a party scene where Drayton convinces Juliana to pretend she got drunk (I know) as part of a roundabout and wild way to find evidence that Kieran had a soft spot for her (I KNOW). Kieran was essentially gonna waltz in (to a social event he otherwise never would make an appearance in) and he'd get all flustered as Juliana latches onto him. He would've decided to sweep her away from the party and take him back to his dorm. I ended up scrapping this entirely because while teens do party and all that...yeah, and also we pretty much got the dynamic moments I wanted to portray much better through the chapters where Juliana got sick.

Kieran/Juliana dynamic was also gonna have a moment where Kieran gets it in his head to start flirting with Juliana because he thinks that she’s flirting to get him to put his guard down. And that's where they both kinda were gonna secretly realize their feelings LOL. In hindsight lowkey fire still, but yeah, kinda just didn't have the space for it. We do have flirty Kieran era though, and that's still based.

This one is kinda known already, but originally the Applins were the only stars of the show (hence the name of the fic). I added Ribombee in early on after enough people wanted it and gave it lore/a connection to Kieran and his mother. Before Ribombee was conceptualized, I had different plans for what happened to Kieran's parents (he would still be an orphan regardless).

Briar was originally going to make a "deal" with Clavell regarding getting Juliana to come to Blueberry early, although it wouldn't be revealed until Juliana discovers this later. I scrapped this in favor of something much better because I didn't like the implications it had on Clavell's character, and honestly, only Blueberry is supposed to have the sketchy admin/systematic stuff going on anyways lol.

Kieran was meant to show more obvious signs of sleep deprivation (e.g. falling suspect to illness more frequently, slowed reactions). This idea is still good and realistic, but yeah, ended up leaning more into other symptomology that went well with the toxic chain curse (e.g. irritability, obsessive fixations, self-criticism, overworking himself, fatigue, etc.)

Ribombee was going to sleep powder both Kieran & Juliana in the cave scene of Ch 5. I decided to make it a bit more organic by having Kieran up and reflecting on everything + having Ribombee appearance in a more mystical way. Plus, I thought it would mean more if Kieran & Juliana opted to cuddle up themselves rather than being knocked out. There was a part of me that was worried the dynamic was progressing too fast this way with this change, but it seemed to have landed well! :)

This doesn't really count as a scrapped idea, but related: I 1000% retconned something with the Drayton POV chapters (if ykyk, LOL). But YEP. It's CANON. And frankly it's a decision I personally love that has implications, but also won't screw up the storytelling for where we're at now, either.

There's actually a lot more, too, but like I said: most of my ideas tend to upgrade. And lolololol OMG this is especially true for some major lore stuff. I just don't want to reveal it because I don't want to give y'all hints on where we're going!! LOL.

And also...there are cuter moments I haven't used in S&S and probably won't be able to because I account for what makes sense with the given dynamic. BUT what I do end up doing is taking those unused ideas and putting them into What-Ifs or other stories. There's one I'm particularly thinking of that I was dying to put in S&S D, but I don't think it would trip up the current Kieran as much as it would've in earlier chapters, lol. SO. It's going in The Dichotomy in Our Hearts instead! xD

Shin:

💌 But let’s take a step back and discuss how you two met.

​​💌 Shin was at it again with his shenanigans with his brother, and let’s just say that instead of Carla getting pranked, you did instead.

Taking the words of a severely disabled person who at times has been bedbound and literally too sick to even scroll social media for days on end in the worst faith possible when they tell disabled people who are objectively more disabled by their conditions that talking about the experience of BEING more disabled and how statements like theirs harm us, is ableist.

Assuming that every disabled person is capable of doing some form of hobby - yes, even media consumption - and erasing and speaking over severely disabled people who are telling you we sometimes or always can't - is ableist.

Equating anything that some people can't do with being a good or bad person - is ableist.

Sending these kinds of asks:

Having hobbies isn't ableist. Tumblr users piss on the poor and you didn't actually read our reply. Equating having hobbies with being a good person and not having hobbies (almost everyone who can have hobbies chooses to do so, by the way) with being a bad person - is ableist.

"so after your fucking tirade was posted, someone decided to start sending anons telling someone to bash his wifes skull in and break her legs so she knows what real disability is. do you call that activism? or unity? because i call it fucking threats. - Assuming we are responsible for or even condone truly horrific ableist harassment. To be clear, that is ableism on an entirely different SCALE of the microaggression OP is guilty of. That is unacceptable, and we hope the person receiving those asks reported them and that the user minimally gets IP banned from Tumblr entirely, and that the victim of those asks even gets the authorities involved if necessary.

- Calling being upset by something that personally harms us a "tirade"

Those last two are literally just abject sanism. They are equating sanity and sickness to morality/immorality. This is literally the justification ableists have used for hundreds if not thousands of years for oppressing mad people, and the basis of mad liberation is fighting this ableism.

I'm also curious what was "mean" about saying "this is ableism I'm personally affected by". I think the meanest thing I said was saying "OP says hobbies make them happy so maybe they should spend more time on them because they seem unhappy", because it was a bit snarky, though still genuine.

Also, nice use of infantilizing language with "brat". And now getting back to us being plural: it is pluralmisia and sanism to insist that multiple people in one body are one person. I wanted to address that we are bodily two, because I know that is what that person meant, but it is also just literal ableism to insist systems that identify as multiple people are singlets. (Parts-based systems who identify as one person, however, are valid, and should be addressed as such.) Any accusations of insanity or sickness of the head for being that way are also pluralmisia and sanism.

These are just three among quite literally HUNDREDS of examples. At one point, there was one every few SECONDS while Mod Cloud was trying to answer the good faith anon that wasn't understanding my reply (to that anon, even if you still disagree, thank you for being kind).

One said we should be institutionalized - you know, the form of violent nonconsensual removal of autonomy used to oppress disabled people for as long as institutions have existed? They wanted to not hear us speak about ableism so badly they wanted us to be incarcerated and coercively medicated. THAT'S ableism.

THAT is ableist harassment. That is you disagreeing with a disabled person and taking offense to them interpreting their own experiences as ableism, and following that up with spamming and dogpiling the blog in order to shut us up. You are actively trying to stop us from talking about our experiences with ableism. While I don't know whether the anons sending these were abled or disabled, that's the level of ableism I'd usually only expect from abled people. So if you are also disabled, shame on you for turning on your own community. If you're abled, uno reverse, shut the fuck up forever.

There's a block button. You're allowed to disagree with other abled people about ableism. It's not okay to spam harassing and ableist asks because a disabled person says something you don't like. And you might want to do some serious thinking about why you don't like it, and why you feel the need to say that someone could never be so disabled by their disability as to be unable to do hobbies.

This is what happens every time a disabled person calls out ableism on the internet. Other disabled people jump to lick abled boots and say "no, it's not ableism because it doesn't personally affect me!" They say "Every disabled person is abled enough to do [thing that some disabled people can't do]". They literally pull up examples of inspiration porn. They twist everything the original person said, often to the point of claiming OP said the OPPOSITE of what they actually said.

They try to shut down discussions of ableism. That is, itself, ableism.

Finally,

To all the people in the notes missing the point and saying stuff like this:

"the idea that disabled people can't participate in the arts or crafting or hobbies or anything is so insulting to the disabled people who are doing all of those things (and excelling at them) as we speak"

The existence of more severely disabled people who can't participate in those things, according to you, is insulting to disabled people who are more able to do those things.

Also, to the person talking about how consuming media counts as various hobbies: yes, and thank you, but please note that it is possible to be so disabled and sick that even that isn't possible. PLEASE listen to severely disabled people.

Also, to the person who was snarking about taking shit in the worst possible faith on the internet by saying this is ableist: that's exactly what people are doing WHENEVER a disabled person points out ableism, including on this post. Just because you don't want to believe you are capable of being laterally aggressive to people who are more strongly disabled by their disabilities than you, or that you have privilege over them, doesn't mean that it's true. Sit with your discomfort instead of immediately telling people who are extremely sick and bedbound that actually, we're harming you when we talk about our own experiences.

That's crybully behavior. As much as you might want to play the victim here, you're not.

I am truly disgusted with the cruelty and bullying from within the disabled community on the internet today. Check your privilege and recognize that not every disabled person IS capable of having hobbies. It just doesn't make you a bad person if you can't currently or can't ever do that, and doesn't make you any more likely to be an asshole to random strangers on the internet.

Oooo interesting request! I haven't personally read any, I don't tend to read a lot of RPS fics personally, so I can't vouch for any of this, if they are any good or not... But searching for fandom crossovers (Bangtan Boys and Percy Jackson) on AO3 and for the pairing you want (Jikook) is a really good place to start for that. The search engine there is honestly really great. I'm sure there has to be at least one!

From a Google search, this blog account has listed some fics with the vibes you are looking for

Eddie is 22. He is a bartender at The Hideout most nights where he and his band play once a week. His Uncle Wayne has a mechanic buddy that Eddie helps out when he gets overwhelmed and Eddie is always happy to help. He mostly works nights and that's honestly the way he's liked it ever since spring of 1986. And he lives in a trailer park still, but it isn't in Hawkins. Just outside of it, actually in a place called Rolling Acres.

not a whole lot to report here! as we wind down the year, I'm working on game planning 2024 some more, making adjustments based on activity & participation, and seeing what shakes out!

for now, we are sticking with "checks at discretion" for the time being! two weeks, removal; one week, warning. if we see you are only logging in to do one or two replies, if you are not replying to starters, or if we notice bubbling, this will also resulting a warning. we'll be observing activity patterns and should we make changes to how things are done, will let you know October 1st.

We’re currently working on season 3 and we understand that the recent (multiple hehe) self-paras, plot drops and the big reveal can be a lot to deal with so we encourage everyone to take all the time they need. Your mental and emotional health is important to us so if you’re in need of a hiatus, we completely understand! Just please let us know.

I can honestly say this has been our best season so far and I want to take this moment to applaud my fellow admin, Jasmine, for all the hard work she did with her character, and not only for sticking to the storyline, but also for moving it along. This season wouldn't have been as great a success without her dedication and talent. Additionally, I'd like to thank Jasmine and Idalis for all the help with the main this season. Thank you both for your continued dedication to this group and I appreciate you both so much ❤️

It’s now common and accepted knowledge that Adee was the killer and holds responsibility for all deaths and injuries since Enzo was locked up and Kennedy & Peter were killed. You may have your characters wonder if Jake's involvement was greater than just Adee's death, but there will be no proof of that. You may also have your characters wonder if there were more people secretly involved (there weren’t, but you know, curious minds).

Jacob is currently locked up, but won’t be facing that long a sentence. You may check the SEASON 2 TIMELINE page to see which killer was responsible for which death/injury!

I actually wanted to ask something. So I have been following your blog since forever and I love all your stuff but something came up. I have been experimenting with my gender and no longer really feel comfortable with she/her pronouns or words. And your writing is awesome but I get dysphoria from people asking for female readers or when you write things like that such as one that talked about a female or afab reader being told they can’t do something because they are a girl/women. And I’m not saying you should stop but I’m also afraid of unfollowing you as I grew attached to this blog and ere go, you. I don’t want to hurt your feelings but the dysphoria makes me uncomfortable. Would you be okay with me leaving? I’m sorry it’s just that I’m so conflicted.

Who are your comfort characters/fictional others?

One more question! Who are your favourite characters to write for on this blog?

Hello there, anon dear! Thanks so much for popping into my inbox and I'm flattered it's because of your interest in little ol' me. That's really sweet of you to be curious. I'll answer the second question first and the one about my comfort characters/fictional others, I'm going to hide under a cut just because there's a lot of them and I am just going to stick to the ones pertaining to the fandoms I write for on here because otherwise, I could write pages and pages (with Tennant on Doctor Who and the glory that is Donna being at least a good ten page dissertation because like oh my god, I have too much love, and Shawn and Gus from Psych being at least five because again, their characters and that bromance makes me cry from sheer happiness at times).

Going into the characters I love writing about on the blog, I've actually handled this same question a handful of times over the years and it has and will continue to change every time haha. The fair truth of it is that my favourite characters or the ones I'm the most eager to write about change very often, sometimes even by the day or week. It really depends on my mood at the time I come onto the blog and what's going on in my life or my rereads or in general what character or fandom I'm really feeling what asks are going to pique my interest. And honestly, with the nature of the blog I run, that's actually a pretty good thing as there's normally at least one or two asks that are about characters I'm at least a little in the mood to write for at the time.

Now we'll on to fictional others and comfort characters, hidden below under the cut, because even though I've kept them to strictly the fandoms I write for on here, this is definitely long and wordy!!

KHR has always been a long time love of mine and with it's impressively large cast of characters and the fact I've mentioned before that my favourites for this fandom are ever shifting, is it any surprise that my fictional others in it change constantly too.

However, Spanner, Shoichi, Byakuran, Shamal, YamaPapa, Kusakabe, Basil, Squalo, Enma, Chikusa, and Skull are all pretty much mainstays. Like, no matter what, I love them and getting reminders of their existence sends me into spirals of self-shipping goodness because I love each and all of them so much, both solo and in polyships with other passing flames.

For comfort characters, I will say that I always have a lot of thoughts on, affection for, and feel a real connection with Gokudera and Xanxus both and, even if what I write about them or headcanon strongly for those characters isn't always to everyone's tastes, they are my comfort characters in something that is, to me, a comfort fandom overall. Literally, this universe, this world and these characters are my safe place and my imaginary home more than any other.

In K Project, I actually have a handful of fictional others -

Bandou, Dewa and Fujishima are all fictional others for me, while the rest of HOMRA's members, save maybe Yata because at times I'm neutral, other times I like him, are all comfort characters in general for me.

Much like KHR, Nanbaka has a really wide cast of characters and is another fandom where I have multiple fictional others that I trade in between.

Sometimes I love thinking of a polyship with all of the Cell 13 idiots, Hajime is always a strong fictional other of mine, Qi, and Musashi as well. In terms of comfort characters, Mitsuru, Kiji, Momoko, Hitoshi, and Samon are all comfort characters for me who either feel like friends or family depending on the character.

For Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun!, I do have a handful of fictional others.

Of course, one of them is very obvious as he's the one I've written about the most and that is, of course, Balam! However, Jazz, Sabnock, Robin and Dali have all been fictional others for me in that universe. Clara and Sullivan are my largest comfort characters in that fandom though and they both always make me smile and feel happy, even just reading little headcanons about them or seeing cute fanart or watching little clips of them. Goemon and Soi are also comfort characters that I just want so much happiness for!

It's actually going to surprise a lot of people, considering how wide the cast of Bungou Stray Dogs is and how full of very pretty people it is, that I only have a couple of fictional others in this fandom.

Fukuzawa, Ranpo, Tachihara, Steinbeck and Ango are all fictional others that I switch between, depending on my mood and such. I have a lot more comfort characters in the fandom though. Chuuya, Oda, Dazai, Lucy, Lovecraft, Kunikida, and Higuchi are all hugely comfort characters for me and depending on what is going on in my life or in my head, I like to imagine one or several of them just kind of having a meal with me, listening and giving advice or going and doing fun things with me, etc.

I don't have a lot of fictional others in Servamp.

Sakuya was, is, and will probably continue to be my biggest fictional other in that fandom and one I think about a fair amount and have used in crossovers that I think about in my head, with a polyship with Mikuni and Tsurugi being the only other fictional other relationship I have in that fandom. I do have a fair few comfort characters though. Tsurugi is a comfort character, even when I don't have him as a fictional other, as is Kuro, Lily, Misono, and Uncle Tooru, who I would love to have as a parental figure!

I've had the same fictional others in Saiyuki for years and years now,

either imagining a wonderful polyship with Hakkai and Gojyo or Dokugakuji. I'm going to surprise everyone though in admitting that in terms of comfort characters, it's always Goku for me, as he feels like a dear little brother to me at this point.

Again, Eyeshield 21 has such a huge cast of pretty characters, so it surprises even me that I don't have more fictional others in it. Monta was my first fictional other in the fandom and still is my biggest one. I love my monkey king! A polyship with the Kongo twins is also a huge fictional other relationship in the fandom though. Kid, Musashi, Kuroki, Gaou, Taka, and Karin have all been fictional others for me throughout the many rereads of the manga though. I do have a lot of comfort characters in the fandom though - Hiruma, of fucking course, but also Yamato, Mizumachi, Tetsuma, Riku, Sakuraba, Mamori, Juumonji, and especially Yukimitsu, who I will always love so very much and who I wish I was more like!

I think I've said this before but I think Rowen from Ronin Warriors was among my very first fictional others and he still remains a huge one for me, even after all these years. Cye and Kento are my big comfort characters from that fandom though.

I have a fair amount of fictional others in Kekkaishi to be honest. Makio, Yukimasa, Shuu, and Fumiya have all been fictional others for me, but I think my biggest fictional other in the fandom is probably Rokurou! I do have a handful of comfort characters though. I adore Yoshimori and Masamori both, each for different reasons, and Masamori especially feels almost familial as a comfort character. Tatsuki and Miki are badass bitches I wish I was more like and who I adore, and Souji is another true comfort character for me.

It's actually going to surprise everyone. I've really only ever had one fictional other in GetBackers, for the most part.

Ginji is definitely my fictional other in that universe, with Kazuki, Himiko, Akabane, Paul, and Emishi being my comfort characters.

An even bigger surprise? Black Cat is the same, despite its cast of pretty boys.

Sven is the only fictional other I've ever had in that universe and is another one I like to imagine in various crossovers. In terms of comfort characters though, Eve, Lin, Jenos, Charden, and River are all comfort characters for me from this particular fandom.

When it comes to Karneval, a polyship between Gareki and Yogi is my main fictional other go-to, though I sometimes have spells where I remember how much I love Tsukitachi and imagine lovely little fictional other things with him. In terms of comfort characters though, I want Iva as a big sister and really do love Akari way too much, just not romantically.

I've never made any secret that I have a lot of comfort characters from Gangsta., with Alex, Nina, Nic, Delico, Galahad, Gawain, and Connie all being among comfort characters that help me in various ways. In terms of fictional others though? It's always one of three characters, either Dr. Theo, Yang, or Hausen.

Now Bleach has a truly massive cast of characters. Like insanely big cast, so I admit to having probably more fictional others and comfort characters from this fandom than I should. While I'm not near as huge into Bleach as I used to be, there will be spells where I fall back in love with it and these characters become a huge part of my life again.

In terms of fictional others, Shinji should come as no surprise. However, Uryu, Kensei, Hisagi, Ikkaku, Akon and Ukitake have all also been fictional others from this universe. I have a lot of comfort characters from the series - Chad, Kukaku (she is a great sister and a badass), Urahara, Gin, Rangiku most definitely, Keigo, Starrk, Kenpachi, Yumichika, Kira, Hanatarou, and Renji are most of the ones I can think of.

Naruto is another one with just an insane amount of characters. Much like Bleach, I'm not as into it as I used to be, but there will be times where my love for it is reawakened and the characters start to be become a huge part of my life again. I only had a scant handful of fictional others in the universe.

Kakashi was my first and longest lasting of them, Kankuro the most intense of them, but Shino, Iruka, and Jugo were also all fictional others for me at various times. I have a lot of comfort characters from this fandom though - I love imagining family type situations with Might Guy and Rock Lee. Sai, Gaara, Kiba, Hinata, Shikamaru, Itachi, Zabuza and Haku, and Kisame have also all been comfort characters for me though.

Now, given the fact that in direct contrast to the prior two, Deadman Wonderland has a relatively small amount of characters. I really only have two fictional others I've built little stories and scenarios with and two comfort characters. Senji and Rokuro are my fictional others, while Nagi and Karako are my comfort characters.

It's kind of funny, but Ouran High School Host Club also has perfectly balanced amounts of fictional others and comfort characters, three of both. Mori, Kyoya, and Nekozawa are my fictional others in that universe, with Mori being the first one I ever had but Nekozawa being the one I think about the most. Haruhi, Tamaki, and Honey are my comfort characters and I like to imagine tea dates with Haruhi when I'm facing serious decisions and she helps by giving good, solid, practical advice with a smile and support.

In Durarara!!!, I think I started out with Shizuo as a fictional other, but it was a short romantic interlude that faded to him being a great comfort character for me.

Kadota is the only real lasting fictional other I have in that universe. Shinra, Tom, Erika, Walker and Anri are all comfort characters for me as well.

Okay, but given it's huge cast, it's really going to surprise people that I only have ever had two fictional others in Yu Yu Hakusho, Koenma and Kurama. However, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Misunari, Shishiwakamaru, Chu, and Sensui have all been comfort characters for me throughout the years.

Gintama has an absolutely bonkers amount of fun and wacky characters, so it's not surprising I actually have a fair amount of fictional others from it.

Gintoki, Hijikata, Abuto, Banzai, and Yamazaki are all fictional others from this fandom for me. Otose is a mother like comfort character to me, Madao and Kondo best friend type comfort characters, and Okita, Zura, Zenzo, and Kamui also all comfort characters for me.

In Mystic Messenger, I definitely have a polyship with Saeyoung and Saeran as fictional others, and the only other fictional other I have is Vanderwood (I love him so much and he definitely needed a route, just saying). For comfort characters, I imagine Saeyoung a lot even just as a best friend, someone helping me and supporting me and making me laugh. V is also a huge comfort character for me and I have seen the comments saying the way I write him feels in character or asking how I come up with some of these headcanons for him and it's really because I resonate a lot with V, see a lot of myself in his character or his past traumas and mental processing, and I definitely do write some of my past or present mental states into him, along with some bits and pieces of people I've met in various therapy groups that he's strongly reminded me of, if I'm being honest.

For Ikemen Revolution, I have a handful of fictional others, Sirius being the most prominent one, but also Edgar, Kyle, and Harr. For comfort characters, Oliver is a huge one for me as well as Seth, who is another 'brother' type figure in a found family. Luka and Loki are also comfort characters for me though, each in their own way, with Loki helping me remember to stay upbeat even in the face of horrible things and Luka reminding me you can be soft and strong all at the same time.

Okay, but Blush Blush is fantastic and I love every single character. For fictional others, Nimh, Anon, Garret, Myx, and Cashew are my go-to's and it's going to really shock the fuck out of most of my followers when I admit that, other than Eli, Cole is my other big comfort character. I love retreating into platonic bestie places with both of those two whenever something happens that upsets me, because both boys would handle it so differently but both in really helpful and funny way.

Okay, I do think I'm one of the very few people who still remember Date Warp but it is such a fun and great game. I do have fictional others in it, a polyship with Linds and Rafael. Outside of those fictional others, I don't think I really have a comfort character though, to be honest.

Okay, I walked into Hatoful Boyfriend expecting it to be silly and cheesy and dumb and was not prepared for the sheer amount of mind-fucking and feels I would leave this game with. I don't really have a fictional other solidly in this universe, though I admit to playing Shuu's, Okosan's, and Nageki's routes a lot more than the other ones. Otherwise, this whole game is a comfort fandom to me and I love it and all it's weird, messy, wonderful cast of characters.

I can't even explain why I love XOXO Droplets so much, as all of the characters are deeply flawed people but I still love them regardless. I think the only fictional other I've ever had in this fandom though is Jeremy, and even then it's more platonic life-mates. Him, Bae, and Nate are my favourite comfort characters for this fandom.

I honestly think the only Greaser in The Outsiders I haven't had as a fictional other at some point in the span of time between reading the book for the first time in grade eight and now is Steve. Other than that, I have used and still use all of them as fictional others depending on my mood and my needs at the time. As far as comfort characters though, I have a lot of thoughts on Pony, Johnny, and Dally, as well as Tim because we all know how much I love me a good background character.

In Class of the Titans, both Odie and Herry have always been my fictional others, either solo or as a polyship and that has never changed, not even once through watching the show, which is really suprising for me. In terms of comfort characters though, it's Neil all the way, simply because I love imagining the theatrics and the petty suggestions he'd have about anyone and everyone who stresses me out or hurts me.

Disney's Ultimate Spider-Man is another universe where I actually switch between several fictional others, depending on my mood and my needs at the time. Danny, Sam, Werewolf By Night, Flash, and Ben have been or still are fictional others, as well as both Harry and Norman. I have a great big story in my head I keep revisiting with those two, actually. In terms of comfort characters though, both Luke and Stan the Man are where it's at as well as Coulson and Peter.

Okay, I will admit to a slight obsession with Gravity Falls. I rewatch it at least once a year, usually when I start to feel really down because overall, it's just such a comfort show for me and one that always gets me all wrapped up in it and makes me happy. In that fandom, surprising probably nobody, Grunkle Stan is my fictional other, sometimes maybe a polyship with the two Grunkles, Stan and Ford.

As for comfort characters....all of them. Every single one of them, up to and including Bill because I can't think of a single character I haven't enjoyed the hell out of and haven't spent so much time thinking about. But I will say I really, really, REALLY love Mabel so much and she gives me confidence whenever I channel my 'inner Mabel' in real life.

I grew up with The Mighty Ducks movies and honestly, I think Adam was my first fictional other in this fandom, though over the years it changed to a polyship with the Bash Brothers, Fulton and Portman, who remain my fictional others in that universe.

Averman, Connie, Adam, and Goldberg though? Those are my comfort characters and the ones I have so many thoughts about and love just thinking about and imagining fun little situations with!

Now, The Covenant seems to be a fandom that I am the only member of, but I absolutely adore this movie, as cheesy and corny as it is.

Reid was and always will be my fictional other in this universe, with the rest of the Sons, and Kate really becoming a solid friend group for me, with Tyler being my comfort character and my best friend in that universe.

In Power Rangers Jungle Fury, R.J. was, is, and will always be my fictional other in that universe, has been since my first watch of it and I adore the fuck outta him, to be honest.

But in terms of comfort characters, I really do spend just as much time thinking about them in this fandom, particularly Fran, Casey, and Dom. Casey feels almost like found fictional family at this point and I have spun out a whole past story and just this solid friendship with Casey, to be dorky and honest.

Okay, Power Rangers Ninja Storm is another one where I have multiple fictional others, and one of them is a polyship with Blake and Hunter, the other fictional other being Cam.

In terms of comfort characters though, it's Tori all the way and she is amazing and a badass bitch and I love her so goddamn much, ya'll don't even know.

In Power Rangers Mystic Force, Chip was and will always be my fictional other in that universe. Yes, I do have a thing for geeks, yes, I do have a thing for redheads. Sue me haha. However, Xander and Vida are also really big comfort characters for me in this universe, as is Phineas.

Now, I know it's really not considered okay to love Harry Potter anymore. However, I want to point out that I literally grew up on these books, with this universe. It's such a deep and enduring part of my childhood and I own all the books because they were all bought before the author's shitty personality and belief systems were brought to light and I refuse to allow my love for it to be marred by the fact that the person responsible for writing it a truly heinous individual because honestly, if everyone did that, we'd be left with very little, if any, content that we could love.

Now, honestly, I've had so many Harry Potter related fictional others through the years - the Weasley twins, Draco for a bit, Krum, Lupin, but I think Neville and Ron are the only ones who have lasted throughout all the years. I will say, I always imagined both Molly Weasley and Hagrid as wonderful parental figures to me and as comfort characters, they are still solid mainstays in my imagination, with The Burrow and Hagrid's cabin being places I can go at my most sad or unhappy or upset for comfort and safety and a soft landing.

In Sky High: When it first came out, Warren Peace was definitely my first fictional other in that universe but as I've grown older and changed, he's become more a comfort character for me, someone I imagine as a best friend, almost a brother in a wide, multi-fandom universe found family situation. He gives good advice, if stated a bit brutally and is supportive but makes me face the tough stuff because he knows I can. I don't really have a solid fictional other for this fandom, to be honest.

Now, Holes is another one that is a really old love of mine. We had to read the book for an eighth grade English class of mine and I watched the movie when it first came out. I remember in the book I really did fall in love with Zero, whereas in the movie I ended up loving both Zero and Zig-Zag and when it comes to fictional others, they're the ones I self-ship with when thinking about this universe. However, if I'm just in need of comfort characters from this fandom, Stanley is my go-to comfort character and he's the one I picture having a best friend situation with, someone who talks to me about his life, listens about mine and doesn't really give advice so much as just sympathizes and encourages me.
