୨୧ On Purpose Karma x (fem) Reader || Chapter: 03 ୨୧
Prev || 03 Café Talks || next
— "Hi, How can we help you today?"
As [Name] and Karma enter the Café, they're greeted by Isogai.  Karma winces as the realization of Isogai working there hits him like a ton of bricks. He can't believe he forgot such an important detail.
It's not Isogai he's worried about, if Karma asked him to, he'd keep things a secret. The problem arises if another one of his classmates are here and it somehow spreads to the main campus or even worse- Korosensei, who is known for getting overly involved in other peoples relationships.
A few tables away Nagisa is attempting to back track, "Are you sure we should be here? Don't you think this is too intrusive even for us..?"
"Nagisa, do you realize how much dirt the sadist has on everyone? This is our chance to get back at him so don't wimp out now."
"I am not wimping out! I think If we asked he'd-"
Rio whisper-shouts "Wait look! They're here!"
Karma scans the area, just in case. He chose the café since it's usually quiet, much like today. The only people here were the usual older ladies doting on Isogai trying to set him up with their grandchildren, and an unusual group of people decked in all black and sunglasses. He thought maybe they were coming back from a funeral.
"[Name], you go get us a table I'll order everything."
Name nods, grateful she doesn't have to carry the pressure of that.
Isogai leads Karma over to the register, thinking now is probably the best shot he has to ask any questions.
"Didn't realize you and [Name] are friends."
"She's the only person I talked to when I was in A class, aside from Nagisa."
"Ah makes sense, should I go ask her what she want's?"
"It's okay, [Name] orders the same thing every time, [favorite food + drink]."
"What about you?"
"Surprise me."
Isogai sweat drops "Are you sure? What if you don't like what I pick?"
"I'm sure, thanks Isogai."
"Anytime, have fun with your date..?"
"You won't tell Korosensei about this right? You know how he gets."
"I won't tell him." Isogai feels guilty, Korosensei would find out about this whether he kept his mouth shut or not.
He was in a tough position, he didn't want to lie to Karma but he didn't want to out four of his classmates and his teacher that would hear anything he whispered.
                                    ༉‧₊˚.
"The pudding is so good!" Kayano exclaimed cheerily.
"We know Kayano, keep it down!" Rio hushed her as she took her sunglasses off.
"I think we should get out of here." Nagisa piped up
Rio laughs "Go ahead, Karma's going to see you walk right out."
After shutting him up she then addresses Korosensei's uninvited presence, "If you're going to be here make yourself useful, put the pen down."
"But this is where my inspiration is most flowing..."
"I can’t see anything from here! We should move closer." suggests Hinano,
"No need for that, our job here is done."
"But we haven't heard anything." Rio questioned
"Did you forget I have an advanced sense of hearing?" Korosensei proudly announces before he continues
"Karma confirmed to Isogai it's a date and asked him not to let me find out moments ago! I don't understand why he wouldn't want me to know but that's not the focus..."
Hinano replies "Makes sense, I wouldn't want you knowing if I were him either."
                                      ༉‧₊˚.
Karma grabbed [Names] phone out of her hand, she gave him a half hearted smile. "Who's more important? Me or your phone."
She laughed as she snatched it back
"Sorry, it's Asano. He's been texting me about an event the student council is working on."
"I didn't hear anything about an event."
"I didn't mention it? I've been so stressed out about it I haven't even had time to complain. It's a tutoring group like we usually have but this time we're planning out the lessons beforehand with actual lecture presentations."
"If it's stressful just let them do everything."
She smiled "No way- Asano is such a control freak I think he'd show up at my door if I ignored the messages!"
[Name] pressed her lips together, she'd been wanting to ask Karma something for while but hadn't found a good moment, she figured now was as good as it could get,
"Are you still planning to stay in End Class? I miss having classes with you."
"I miss that too but I like End class, it's not as bad as everyone makes it sound."
"You have to hike up a hill every morning and get judged every time you walk near the main campus. What makes you want to stay?"
"For one, there's no Asano"
She cracked a smile "Hey! There's also no me."
If he wanted to stay, that was his decision. No matter how many times she told herself this she continued to spiral thinking about how everyone in her life was seemingly growing distant.
The explosion of the moon was a nasty reminder that nothing was here to stay. Everything she had today could be gone by tomorrow.
She didn't have any friends other than Kaho, who's been too busy for her. They haven't hung out alone in weeks because of how caught up Kaho has been in her relationships. If Kaho can grow distant in such a short amount of time whats to say Karma won't.
The more name thinks about it the more her voice grows anxiously.
"You won't consider it? Your grades are perfect, as long as you stop fighting they'll want you back."
"And if I don't feel like going back?"
"This isn't just what you feel, You're one of the smartest students- I don't want to watch your work go down the drain over some stupid fights."
"Stupid? if everyone in the main campus wasn't so stuck up, and the teachers weren't so conniving then there wouldn't be problems."
"Don't be like that, I know you're helping people but what's stopping you from coming back? You don't miss me? Why am I the only one who cares about that?"
Her eyes water, but she keeps  the tears from falling.
"I do care about that, what reason have I given you to believe I don't?”
"You aren't thinking of me. I'm starting to doubt you ever do!"
[Name] doesn't know what she's talking about. Everything he's doing for her. She doesn't know her life is on the line and if he left E-class he'd have no control on the outcome. The words fall out before he can backtrack,
"I'm thinking about your future! I'm trying to make things better for everyone!"
"Staying there has everything to do with everyone but me!"
He bites his tongue. He's going to say too much if he continues.
He cares alot more than she realizes. He feels so desperate to assassinate Koro sensei because if they don't it won't just be him dying, it'll be [Name]- and the rest of the world too.
She scoffed, "You're pushing me away, the same way you did Nagisa."
He opened his mouth to respond, but before he could utter a word, they realized someone was coming towards them.
"Karma, [Name]? Are you guys alright?" It was a familiar voice, concerned and hesitant.
"...sorry were we loud?" [Name's] anger fading into resignation.
Isogai sets their order down on the table,
"No, don't worry!" He smiles reassuringly, [Name] couldn't be sure if he was telling the truth or simply trying to not embarrass her.
"We're fine. [Names] just tired."
Karma takes a sip of the drink isogai picked "Matcha?"
Isogai nods with an awkward smile, he's not sure whether he should ignore the fact they were fighting a second ago or try helping, he decides they can fix it themselves.
"I'll leave you alone then, If you need anything else call me over!"
"Thank you Isogai."
Karma mimics her voice in the most exaggerated way "Thank you Isogaiii, don't leave yet Isogai!"
"I don't sound like that."
"You're right, you were smiling way more."
She scoffs in an attempt to hide her laugh, "You're so petty."
He shrugs, not able to deny it "Wanna try my drink?"
[Name] pulls his cup towards herself "I didn't know you liked Matcha."
"Me neither."
He noticed the confusion in her face as she furrowed her eyebrows but he ignored it wanting to get to the root of her problems before they re-escalated.
"[Name], I'm not replacing you or whatever else you've been telling yourself, but I'm set on staying in E-class."
"I know, but we haven't been seeing each other and you got new friends and it's getting to my head."
"If you want to be in the same class so badly just start failing until they throw you down with me."
[Name] deadpanned, her phone rang for the 5th time since they got there.
"Asano would probably stop annoying you too."
She knew he was kidding, but part of her was considering it.
"He wants me to meet with the rest of the council at the library in half an hour."
"Let's eat quickly then, we'll walk there together."
Twenty minutes later they picked up all their belongings getting ready to leave, when [Name] noticed a green haired girl nearly drooling at the sight of pudding options Isogai brought out from the back, she was hovered over the glass display- Nagisa was pulling her hand trying to get her back to their table.
Name pointed at the interaction "Karma, isn't that Nagisa with a girl over there?"
"Huh? Yeah- that's Kayano..." He trails off when he notices their strange outfit choices and it dawns on him. He looks over at the strange group from earlier and makes eye contact with Korosensei. He decides to hurry her out the door before she can catch wind of anything.
"[Name] let's go, you're going to be late."
"I want to say hi to Nagisa, and since when do you care about being on time?"
Dragging her out the door he says "Since today- let's hurry before Asano calls you again."

Karma Akabane x reader (dunnothenameyet)
Tumblr media
Chapter 2
Today we had in 5th period P.E.
Karasuma-sensei announced that he will take over the P.E lessons.
Seriously, I am glad that an actual HUMAN being will be our P.E teacher.
How should we keep up with a creature who has a speed of Mach 20.
After class, we were about to walk back to the 3-E building and Sugino whines:" A quiz in 6th period, eh?"
Nagisa agreed: "Shame we didn't get to home after all"
Rio and I were also walking back with the class. Rio: "naw we have now a math quiz"
Sometimes I just want rip my math book apart. What are these formulas?!
"I will just tell Karasuma sensei or Korosensei that I'm on my period and want to go home. Who do they think they are?! MATH QUIZ AFTER P.E?!" ,I complain.
In that moment we see a figure standing on the top of the stairs outside.
Nagisa says surprised: "Karma-kun...you're back?"
I raise an eyebrow and said to Rio: "How come I just mentioned my period and a guy with redhair shows up?"
Rio snorts and laughs at my comment.
The redhead in the meantime has a little smile and raises his eyebrows with curiousity: "Oh? So this is the infamous Korosensei? He really *does* look like an octopus"
The rest of the class observed Karma and Korosensei.
Korosensei: "You're Akabane Karma-kun right? I'd hear your suspension was up today. But that's no excuse to be late on your first day back."
Akabane stretched out his hand for a handshake: "It's nice to meet you, Sensei"
In the moment when Korosensei touched Akabane's hand, his tentacle got destroyed and as Akabane was trying to attack him with the Anti-Sensei knife but Korosensei dodged easily and fast.
The class was stunned since Karma was now the first one to damage Korosensei.
Nagisa told Kayano that Akabane and him were in the same class for the first and second year but he got suspended due to his violent tendencies. The periodhead- I mean Akabane kind of looked like that type of guy.
Nagisa continued explaining: "When it comes to deadly weapons and foul play Karma got us all beat" Yeah yeah don't exaggerate he is only 14/15 years old. Overrated.
During the math quiz... yeah I know I said I wanted to leave but then I remembered that Korosensei would probably bring some random medicine from other countries to make my "cramps" heal.
So now here I am sitting at my desk and writing that quiz... Honestly I am just freestyling ,the fuck. Math is annoying enough but do you all know what was more annoying?! Korosensei punching with his tentacles the wall and made some squishing sounds.
I hit with my hand my desk and raised my voice: "HEY WE ARE WRITING YOUR QUIZ HERE?! Stop the squishing!"
The class deadpan at my outburst and Korosensei flinches a little sweating "P-Pardon me!"
In the meantime Terasaka and his friends were teasing Akabane because him being the reason that Korosensei is mad. Korosensei then turned around even if his face looks the same you could sense that he is pretty pissed off right now. "You there! No noise during a test!" He sees now Karma eating Gelato or let's say...Korosensei's Gelato.
Korosensei: "Hey! I even flied a colder stratosphere to keep it from melting!" I saw many classmates roll their eyes and I just sighed quietly to myself aboit this whole fiasco. That redhead still has the audacity to be a pain in the ass when today was his first day back.

So I was watching/reading AssClass again recently, and my opinions on a lot of things have changed, so here are some updated hot takes 🍵
So you all know I hate the crossdressing jokes, but for the sake of keeping it simple, let’s say Nagisa is ok with his closest friends making them. This still doesn’t make sense imo bc Karma was willing to leave him a year, get creeped out by him, and throughout canon is unwilling to properly communicate with Nagisa. But all of a sudden, he’s a close enough friend to make jokes about crossdressing and feminizing him????? No it doesn’t work that way 😭
Both teams in Civil War are equally valid, now that I think about it more deeply. That said though, I feel like more people should’ve jumped on Karma’s ass and called him out. Bc the way he was acting and his anger just went far past jealousy imo.
One thing about me is that I am a sucker for “feminine” female characters. Ok, like I get that 99% of this fandom loves Rio, Hazama, Hayami, etc. But my heart will always belong to the soft girls like Okuda n Kanzaki
Nagisa is actually such an interesting character and I love him now. But I feel like he’s popular for the worst reasons :(
Terasaka was extremely pivotal in grounding Nagisa’s humanity and morality, not just in Island arc but throughout the whole series.
I want to really like Maehara x Okano, but honestly it hurts in an irl sense 💔 Like the whole vibe of not being given the importance of being desired as an actual girlfriend, rather than a fling or friend :( I feel bad for Okano, and she deserves better than that.
Korosensei and Aguri did love each other, but I can’t label it as a typical “romantic” kind of love. I feel like it went so much deeper than that, like soul bonding or something. I think they both had immense impact on each other, and that’s what’s most significant about their bond.
I really don’t wanna sound like the judgey type, you know. To each their own. But some of the ships and relationship ideas some ppl in this fandom have, make me wonder if we watched/read the same series.
I always used to talk about how Kayano was robbed, and I’ll keep saying it. She deserved to be a more fully fleshed out female character. And this means accepting her very real flaws, not making her a “girlboss” or throwing her under the bus for the sake of ships.
Karma is one of the more selfless characters in AssClass, and I feel like in this sense, he and Nagisa are two sides of the same coin.
Sugino is Nagisa’s bestie, periodt.
Nakamura gets on my nerves at times lmao. I’m sorry, but I think it’s just her vibe. I’m not a fan of irl ppl like her
Maehara is just as bad as Okajima. In a sense, he might be even worse given that he sees dating girls and cheating in a commodified lens. Don’t forget it just bc he’s conventionally attractive lmfao 💀
The final takeover of the mountain is one of the best arcs in the whole series, no cap. It does an even better job than Civil War in granting 3-E equal attention, showcasing their skills, and displaying the found family that’s been built. And Nagisa and Karma’s high-five while Terasaka yells at them is adorable.

Karma Akabane x Reader Part 2
The part 2 you have all been waiting for! Please enjoy! ^w^
I’m also thinking of starting a taglist, so if you would like to be in it please let me know.
Tumblr media
It had been two months since you’ve been enrolled in the E-Class, 60 days of trudging up a tall hill to get to your classroom. Sometimes you wondered why the worn down cabin hadn’t been destroyed by heavy rain or snow.
During the first few days you had been part of of the End Class, you noticed Karma Akabane taking more interest in you than anyone else. You had asked your friend Nagisa about Karma, and he had told you what the red-haired boy was like.
“You never know what Karma’s going to do,” Nagisa had said to you during lunch. Taking a glance over in Karma’s direction, you saw that he had his notebook open. “Is he planning something?” You gestured to the pen and paper. Nagisa nodded. “He’s always scheming. But even for someone like him, Koro-sensei can still see past his plans.”
Spending time with the yellow octopus had only proven his point. You didn’t understand why Koro-sensei could teach so well, and yet be planning for the end of the world! Most importantly, Koro-sensei’s personality was childish at times, making it seem like his only concern at the moment was to preserve his special chocolates brought back from France. And you knew your classmates felt the same.
“Bye, (your name)! Have a nice day at school!” Your mother called from the kitchen. “Bye!” you yelled back. It was the morning of your Japanese exam that Koro-sensei had told the class about a week prior, and you felt confident about it for the first time. And you knew why.
“I’m sorry, I promised Nagisa we would focus on killing Koro-sensei this week,” Kaede Kayano had told you after class the day your teacher reminded the class about the test. “I can’t help you study.” You had trudged back to your seat in disappointment, only to see the shadow of someone familiar glide across the floor to you. “Hey,” Karma said. “I couldn’t help but hear your conversation with Kayano.”
“What,” you grumbled, gathering up your things. “Are you going to tease me about my terrible grades?”
“Well, your grades are terrible,” Karma said bluntly. “But I decided to be generous and help you with the exam that’s coming up.” You looked up in surprise. “Really?!” You asked excitedly. Maybe the test wasn’t going to be that bad after all, because you had one of the smartest students in the E-Class helping you.
“Yeah, but I’m just going to give you my notes for the Japanese exam. That’s it. Don’t expect any more from me.”
You didn’t care, jumping up and grabbing his arm. “Thank you, thank you!” You said to Karma, who looked taken aback at the sudden contact. “I’ll come by your house to pick them up tonight!” You yelled while racing out of the classroom. There’s no need to be excited about an exam, you had told yourself on the way home, but while your grades were at your lowest, maybe you could score high on one exam. Success has to start somewhere, right?
“I’ll give everyone twenty minutes to finish this,” Koro-sensei said, giving each student a test faster than you could blink. Back in the present, you squeezed your eyes shut against the whoosh of the teacher whizzing by you to pass out papers to the back row. Suddenly, you felt eyes on you, and turning around, you spotted Karma staring at you. You smiled at him, hoping he would somehow sense your gratefulness from across the room. But instead of a reaction you were hoping for, he looked down at his test and began scribbling out his name. You frowned, turning back around to face the front of the room.
The twenty minutes you had to finish the exam passed by in the blink of an eye. Crossing your fingers behind your back, you walked up to Koro-sensei’s desk with the paper. “The scores will be released tomorrow,” your teacher announced. “Now, it’s time for your physical education class with Karasuma-sensei!”
You headed out to the area where your class had physical training with Nagisa and Kayano. “Why was Karma staring at you earlier?” the blue haired boy asked you, barely paying attention. “I don’t know...” you replied. Everyone was focused today, as your physical education teacher had something planned for today’s class.
“Everyone, line up. I’m going to test what I taught you last week,” Karasuma-sensei said sternly. You clasped your hands together, nervous. This was only the second time you had gone through this, while all your other classmates were well experienced. Being a shy person, trying to engage in physical combat in front of your friends was embarrassing. Even if it was merely a test.
The first time it had happened, you were completely unprepared, missing every hit, looking around for Karasuma-sensei’s figure zooming around you. It was a good thing you had only been in the class for about three weeks at that time, because they let you off the hook. Now? Not so much.
“I-I’m so nervous! What if I mess up? What if they judge me?” you asked Nagisa, stuttering a bit. Looking to your left and right, you had a clear view of your classmates’ faces. They were all focused, observing the teacher’s every move. Catching sight of Karma, who was next in line for Karasuma-sensei’s test, you could see that his expression was of pure smugness. What is he so confident about? You thought. Last time you took the test, Karma was absent. You never knew how he couldn’t dread being stared down by 28 other people.
“(your name)! Please come forward.”
You gulped, taking a step towards your teacher, out of line. Out of the corner of your eye, Nagisa was giving you a thumbs-up. You smiled back weakly. You were in the spotlight now.

‘Cause You Had A Bad Day (You’re Taking One Down)
AKA: A Nagisa-Centric Sick Fic
Pairing: Nagisa x 3-E (platonic)
Today was not Nagisa’s day. Not at all.
It all started when he woke up that morning feeling like he had been hit by a freight train that was coming at him at full speed. Groggily, he blinked open his eyes to find his forehead covered in a glistening sheen of sweat covering his forehead and a giant boulder that he could not see had him pinned down onto his bed. With strenuous effort, he had rolled over, planted his feet onto his bedroom floor and clutched onto his bedside table to help him stand up - and then almost fell over backwards because of how his head spun from the movement. He had dragged his feet towards his bathroom and his reflection in the mirror above the sink would’ve made him gasp if it weren’t for the woodpecker drilling in his cranium and the raw scratchiness of his throat. His normally porcelain white face was flushed pink and his eyes lacked their usual brightness. Oh god, of all days for him to get a fever, it had to be on the day they had an English test. Well, at least it was Friday so he’ll have the whole weekend to sleep it off. He was then overcome by a feeling of dread as he threw himself before his commode, retching and emptying out the contents of his stomach - which already felt unnaturally empty to begin with. Groaning in despair, he fumbled an arm above him to flush the toilet and flip down the lid so that he could rest his head on it’s cooler surface as he breathed deeply.
‘This is the worst,’ he lamented, noticing how his body was currently shivering despite the heat of the early morning sun, ‘completely defeated by a stupid fever. And I’m supposed to be a trained assassin. How the hell am I supposed to kill Koro-Sensei if I can’t even stand up properly or think straight.’ With a hefty sigh, he pushed himself upwards, blinking rapidly as he waved his arms about to steady his shaking legs. ‘I bet Karasuma-Sensei doesn’t let something as small as an illness stop him from doing what he does. That man has like no chinks at all. I can’t afford to skip, not with my grades. If I don’t want to let him and everyone else down, I’ve got to act as normally as possible. I’ll be a liability if my sickness drags me down and the last thing I want is to burden my classmates. An assassin should be able to overcome anything and shouldn’t get in the way so that’s what I’ll do. Hopefully, it’ll get better later.’
Once he had dressed himself in his usual school clothes and tied his hair into his usual pigtails, he slung his bag over his shoulder and headed off to school, choosing to skip breakfast and not pack himself lunch with the hope that the uncomfortable feeling in his stomach would die down if he didn’t eat anything. What followed was what Nagisa would describe as the worst walk to school he had ever undergone in his entire life: his throat was dry, tongue parched, body weak and every noise he heard only amplified the throbbing in his head. His insulating clothing felt suffocating, his black tie practically holding his neck in a choke hold, and he knew the heat he felt radiating off of him wasn’t due to the fact that it was nearing summer.
“Hey, Nagisa,” Sugino called, somehow materialising out of nothing, “what’s up.”
Nagisa tried not to jump from shock. Normally he would’ve been able to hear his best friend from a mile away, would’ve been able to discern the tell-tale thuds of the taller boy’s favourite sneakers against the concrete and sense his presence before he could’ve said a word. It was common knowledge in their so-called ‘Assassination Classroom’ that sneaking up on Nagisa is about as difficult as getting Fuwa to go twenty-four hours without referencing a manga - his ability to observe his surroundings and everyone in them was one of the few things he was actually good at. To make up for his current lack of observational skills and his tinted complexion he hastily threw on a smile and greeted, “Oh, hey Sugino. Nothing much. How are you.”
Sugino narrowed his eyes at the shorter boy as Nagisa mentally congratulated himself for stringing those words out coherently. With a raised eyebrow, he replied slowly, “I’m fine, thanks. Are - are you okay, dude.”
“Of course I am,” he laughed, somewhat nervously, “why wouldn’t I be?”
“You look a bit… tired.”
“I am,” he sighed, “I stayed up a bit late to study for that test we have today. I guess I was kind of pushing it with my sleeping hours, huh.”
Sugino looked at him for a second before stating, “sure.”
Sensing that Sugino was going to probe into something that he really didn’t want to discuss right now (or ever), he continued, “hopefully I studied enough. I mean English is my best subject so I’m hoping for at least an eighty-five percent.”
The sceptical look was washed off of his best friend’s face as his features softened into the usual fond smile he wears around the bluenette, “I’m sure you’ll ace it, man. I know how hard you work. You’ve just got to watch out for those spelling errors, right.”
“Right,” Nagisa echoed with a half-authentic grin, whilst in his mind he castigated, ‘you can’t let your guard down like that, idiot. You saw the way Sugino looked at you. You’ve got to get better at hiding this before you inconvenience the entire class and mess up their day. God, mom was right - I really am a burden. Just spend the rest of the day like nothing’s wrong and hopefully this will go down.’
Unfortunately for him, his pain only got worse and every step up the E-Class mountain made him feel like his calf bones were being split open. It was a considerable effort for him to remain upright as he conversed with Sugino, and his sweat-slicken body made his shirt stick to his skin in the most uncomfortable way possible. His muscles were screaming at him, begging him to stop what he was doing and to just collapse into a heap on the forest floor but he continued to trudge along the path towards the classroom at the top. He could do this. He’s used to hiding his emotions. He’s spent years mastering the art of concealing what he truly felt, surely he could last seven hours - even if they were under the watchful eye of a superpowered octopus, a government agent, one of the world’s top assassins and twenty-six assassins in training.
Upon entering the classroom, he gave his usual greetings, whilst narrowly avoiding any direct contact with any of his classmates lest they feel his unnaturally high body temperature, before slumping onto his seat.
“Hiya, Nagisa,” Kayano chirped, as bubbly as always, “how are you doing?”
Nagisa looked up and hoped that the weak smile he gave her did not resemble a grimace at all, “I’m fine, thanks. How are-”
He was interrupted by a smooth voice, “you sure about that, Nagisa? ‘Cause you’re looking a little on the red side.”
He swiveled his head around and immediately regretted that particular action as his migraine worsened. Karma, who was standing next to Kayano on the adjacent side of his desk, had on his signature smirk but the look in his eyes was calculating. He huffed out a laugh, “I’m fine, Karma.”
“Really?” the redhead raised an eyebrow, “because you look like the walking dead.”
“I just didn’t get enough sleep last night, that’s all,” Nagisa argued, tone a tad bit on the defensive side, “I was so caught up in studying for today’s test that I only got like five hours.”
“That’s not good, Nagisa,” Kayano admonished with a gasp, “you need to take better care of yourself, you know. Studying is important but so is your health.”
“Yeah, I know,” Nagisa mumbled with his head down.
Great, it’s only been like two minutes and I’m already making them worry.
“Besides,” Nakamura chimed in with a grin, “you’re great at English. You were one mark away from me in the last test we took so you shouldn’t worry so badly.”
“That’s what I told him,” Sugino said, “but he’s Nagisa. He just has to worry about something.”
They all traded fond looks as Nagisa let out nervous chuckles. It was then that his stomach constricted sharply. He quickly excused himself with a squeak of ‘bathroom’ before fleeing the classroom, unaware of the narrowed golden eyes that followed him.
Once he was locked within the cubicle of the building’s lavatory, he was quick to once again empty out the contents of his stomach, thanking every deity out there that he arrived early so his discordant gagging wouldn’t have been heard by their teacher with his enhanced senses. It was then a lightbulb when off in his head as he mentally slammed a palm against his forehead. Zipping open his schoolbag, he fumbled inside before drawing out a bright red first aid kit. With a sigh of relief, he opened it and grabbed a bottle of ibuprofen but then his hope dissipated when he capsized it to find it empty. Oh, right, he gave the last few pills to Okano the other day when she was complaining about her menstrual cramps and he forgot to go to the pharmacy to buy more. ‘Dammit, Shiota. What if someone else needed those. Your classmates could be in pain and you would’ve been useless in helping them.’ Despairing at his fate, he flushed, got up, washed his hands and made his way back to his classroom, wrapping his arms around himself to hide his shivering.
Entering the room again, he was met with concerned looks from his peers. Giving them a comforting smile, he walked as confidently as he could with the little energy he had back to his desk, ignoring the eyes that he felt on him. Luckily for him, before anyone could speak, they all felt a gush of wind whoosh through the classroom and in a blink of an eye, their homeroom teacher stood before them.
“Good morning, students,” he called out cheerfully, “I hope you all are ready for your test today. I know that it’s the last day of the week but I’m sure that each of you will be able to power through. Now, I can see that everyone is present but why don’t I take the register anyways as you boys and girls try to kill me, alright? It will be a perfect warm-up exercise to get you all pumped for the day.”
And with that, their class’ school day began as it always does; with Koro-Sensei holding the register and calling out names whilst dodging bullets at Mach 20. Even in extreme agony and lethargy, Nagisa could only find amusement in that as he aimed and fired, whilst simultaneously doing all he could to not let the abnormally heavy gun slip from his grasp. When roll call was over, he could only tell that his fever was getting worse as he was hunching down to grab the stray anti-sensei bbs that lay littered on the floor. He knew that he should probably tell Koro-Sensei that he wasn’t feeling well, that he could use some medicine that he knew that the octopus could get in less than a nano-second but doing so would draw attention and alert the others and then everyone will know how weak he is, how he can’t handle his own immune system, how he is unfit to be an assassin. Or even worse, they’ll be concerned;  they’ll fret and worry over him and lose focus, make mistakes that could cost them, their billion dollar yen and the fate of the Earth. He could ruin everything. So it’s best to keep quiet. Even when his throbbing head feels like shutting down and his skin is on fire and there's enough sweat covering his body to water the tulips in the E-Class garden.
Fortunately, he was able to complete the test to the best of his ability. It was a comprehension assessment and it wasn’t too challenging for him, which was good because he was able to put more effort in keeping his head up than he planned to. Unfortunately, however, his theory of the fever getting better was horribly horribly wrong. If anything, it became worse, if that was even possible: His stomach twisted sporadically every time he took a breath, the cave of his mouth and the empty vessel of his oesophagus stung like they had been rubbed raw and so every painful swallow only increased their pleas for water (he had finished his bottle and he was not going to be asking to borrow anyone else’s), he could feel the build-up of perspiration along the outline of his shirt under his arms (he was so glad that he wore a dark waistcoat to school) and he could see the way his hands would shake no matter how hard he tried to suppress them. It was already the second period of his five-period school day and so all he had to do was last three more lessons and he can go home and hibernate for the rest of the week. He had no idea how he was going to survive Physical Education with the military training exercises that Karasuma had them doing for the past three days. He hoped and prayed that they wouldn't be sparing because that would require contact and fast moves and there’s no way he’d be able to hide anything then.
He didn’t have to wait that long, however, because he was found out by period three.
After spending their break acting as normal as possible without drawing attention to the way every single cell inside him ached and groaned as well as the fact that he was without his usual breaktime snack, he walked into the classroom, ready for their science lesson. Today they were going to do a practical (something about reactions or something, honestly he couldn’t concentrate at all at this moment because his mind was so hazy and he was currently too busy trying not to cry). He turned to Sugino, his regular partner in science, before Karma swiftly walked in between them.
“Yo, Nagisa,” he said, “wanna be partners.”
Nagisa blinked at him before looking around him to meet Sugino’s eyes. The baseball lover only shrugged and then walked away to pair up with Kanzaki. With the way he and the redhead shared eye contact as he left, Nagisa was sure that the two of them were planning something for once the twisting of his gut was not due to his current affliction.
“Uhh, sure,” Nagisa agreed, half because he has a problem with saying no and half because he was sure that even if he did refuse, Karma would still pair up with him anyway.
“Great,” the taller boy grinned.
As soon as the class had set up the apparatus and began their experiment his conjecture was confirmed as Karma had stated, “so what’s with you?”
Nagisa almost dropped the textbook he was holding, “huh.”
The other boy scoffed, “don’t play dumb, Nagisa. There’s something wrong.”
“There’s nothing wrong, Karma.”
“Oh really. Then explain why you didn’t eat anything during break today-”
“I wasn’t hungry.”
“-Or why you look like you’re about to keel over any second.”
“I told you. I stayed up too late.”
“- Or what that little trip to the bathroom was for.”
“I had to use the bathroom like any other normal person. I didn’t realise that I had to tell you the purpose of everywhere I go. And what’s with all of the questions?” Nagisa didn’t mean to sound so defensive or snappy, not to one of his best friends who he knows is only looking out for him. He knows that that’s how Karma is; whilst Nagisa approaches problems with caution and care, the redhead goes on with a complete offensive attack - assaulting with blunt words and hard facts to break you down. He doesn’t believe in the roundabout way, he’s always direct and wants things done at the time. His ability to get what he wants is one of the qualities in the other boy that Nagisa admired, but right now it was a pain in the neck. He felt cornered and trapped and something inside him, the viper he could feel curling around in his unconscious, was ready to lash out and bite and that’s the last thing he wanted.
“Hey, no need for that tone,” Karma held up his hands, “I was just asking. There’s no harm in that, right.”
Nagisa let out a sigh, “you’re right. I’m sorry for snapping. It’s just that I really just want to get on with this.”
“I still think you’re hiding something.”
“Karma, I’m trying to read the instructions. You’re kind of distracting me.” (it’s not like he was able to read the words anyway, they all seemed to blur into one big smudge of dancing black on the page)
“Why can’t you just say what’s wrong. What’s the big deal.”
“Karma.”
“Just go ahead and say it, Nagisa. What are you so afraid of.”
“I - I,” he sighed wearily, dropping his shoulders, “I should get another test tube. We’re missing one for the experiment.”
“Nagisa,” he could hear Karma calling him but he ignored it as he speed walked to the front desk to grab another piece of apparatus. It was on his way back that he could feel his stomach give a lurch. His heart was racing as the pain in his head had reached a new intensity. His stomach dropped and he felt apprehension crash over him.
‘Oh no,’ he thought as his hands began to shake.
His surroundings started to lose focus. The floor was swaying under his feet.
No, no. Not now. Not in front of everyone.
His head felt light. So so very light.
‘Come on Nagisa, one more step,’ he urged before his eyes rolled. He could faintly hear the sound of glass breaking and horrified shouts of his name before the world went dark.
…..
The first thing Nagisa noticed when he came to was that this was not his bedroom. His eyes opened after steady blinks, and the first thing he found himself facing was a blur of different colours that he was sure didn’t belong in his house. Once his eyes adjusted themselves and focused properly, he recognised it as a notice board with lots of paper pinned onto the multicoloured backdrop. Then he realised that his forehead was covered with cold water, probably from the ice pack that he found lying on the floor next to him. It was when he heard the soft clicks of a computer’s keyboard that he registered that he was in the teachers’ lounge. With a gasp, he sat up on the row of chairs that had been pushed together to form a makeshift bed, the softness under his palms made him realise that a pile of blankets were thrown on to make him more comfortable. Karasuma, who was the one that was using the computer, turned around on his chair to face him.
“Nagisa, you’re up. How are you doing,” he asked as he stood up and walked towards him with a bottle of water, “we were all very worried.”
“Uhh,” was his coherent reply.
“Here, this will make you feel better,” the man said, holding out the bottle as well as a small white tablet. When Nagisa reached out to grab them, he found that his right hand was wrapped around in a bandage. He blinked at it in shock, “when you fainted, your hand landed on some glass. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll inform your classmates and the target that you’re up and I’ll be right back.”
Nagisa watched as Karasuma left, and continued to observe the door for a few seconds before looking down at the uncapped bottle. He threw his head back and downed it hurriedly, yearning to relieve the pain in his throat. It didn’t do much since he still felt like just begging god to just finish the job and get it over and done with but he appreciated it regardless.
“OH NAGISA, I WAS SO WORRIED!” Koro-Sensei wailed as he appeared before him with medicine boxes, books on fevers, and five bottles of water, “WHAT A TERRIBLE SENSEI I AM TO BE UNAWARE OF MY STUDENT’S SUFFERING. THE SHAME. AH, I HOPE YOU CAN FORGIVE ME FOR BEING SO CARELESS.”
“Koro-Sensei, please,” Nagisa said, “it’s not your fault. I was hiding it because I didn't want anyone to know.”
“Bu-but why,” his teacher asked, sniffling, “as your teacher, it’s important for me to be aware if you’re not feeling well. OR AM I NOT APPROACHABLE ENOUGH FOR YOU TO UNLOAD YOUR WORRIES?”
“No, no,” he replied quickly, “I just - I just don’t like people knowing when I’m not feeling well, that’s all.”
The octopus paused. Slowly he said, “why’s that Nagisa? Do you think that your classmates will treat you any differently if they knew?”
Nagisa looked down and mumbled, “it’s - it’s just that. Well, we’re supposed to be assassins, Sir. I don’t think trained killers let themselves fall back just because they’re not well.”
“Nagisa,” Koro-Sensei’s voice was stern but still held his kind and gentle tone, “you are a valuable member of this class. Every single one of your peers consider you an asset, an ally and a friend. We all look after each other here. We are all striving towards the same goal. Together. As students and as assassins, an important aspect of life is to be able to work as a team. To carry on through your strongest and lift each other up at your weakest. I see you looking out for others. Why won’t you let others look out for you?”
“I just didn’t want to be a burden, “ Nagisa whispered, “I thought I could deal with it.”
“Nagisa, you are not a burden. You have a burden. A burden that you have no need to carry on our own. I know this may seem difficult to you, but please: next time you find yourself in a situation where you can ask for help, don’t be afraid to.”
Nagisa looked up and despite the wide smile on his teacher’s face, he knew that the octopus was serious. He nodded.
“Wonderful,” Koro-Sensei beamed and clapped his hands, “now, I’m sure that the others would want to see you so I’m not going to keep them waiting any longer.”
“About time,” Karma said as he walked in.
“Were you there the whole time?” Nagisa asked as Koro-Sensei gasped theatrically.
“Karma, I thought I told you to wait in the classroom.”
“I know,” Karma smirked, pulling up a chair and sitting on it, “but the thing is that I didn’t want to.”
“WHY DO YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME!?”
“Uhh, Sir?” Nakamura popped her head in, “are you going to leave or not because the rest of us are waiting.”
With a cry of despair, the teacher left the room. Nagisa turned to face Karma.
“I-,”
“You okay,” Karma asked, cutting through the apology that Nagisa had at his throat, “and don’t you dare lie.”
“I’ve been better.”
“God, Nagisa. Why did you try to hide this? You scared the c**p out of everyone. It would've been funny to see Terasaka lose his s*** if it weren’t for the fact that you were lying on the floor, bleeding and not responding to anyone. Did you know that you had a temperature of 40°C?”
“I’m sorry, Karma. I didn’t want everyone to freak out, I swear, that’s kind of the reason why I didn’t tell you guys anything. I just -” he was cut off as his migraine increased and his stomach flipped. His wince and groan of agony made Karma’s eyebrows furrow.
“You good? Do you want to rest more?”
“I - yeah. I think that might be best.”
“Alright then,” Karma pulled out his phone and began scrolling through it, “rest all you want. I’ll make sure no one comes to bother you.”
The rest of the day continued with his classmates coming to check on him, even after school was over: Sugaya had made an A3 sized get well soon card and the entire class had signed it, Fuwa decided to help him go to sleep by reading a manga to him like a bedtime story, Sugino and Kayano berated him for hiding his illness before hugging him, Hara offered him some soup to help him feel better, Hazama offered to use a spell to ‘expel the sickness and other evil entities’ from his body (he was quick to decline that), most of the girls were fussing and doting over their ‘kind of little brother’ and were quick to do whatever he wanted to help him get better (especially Yada, who actually had experience with looking after her sick younger brother) whilst the boys tried to cheer him up with funny anecdotes. When it was time to return home, Karma and Sugino took turns in carrying him down the mountain and to his apartment (ignoring his protests and reminders that they would get sick), even going as far as to tuck him in and place a bottle of ibuprofen on the bedside table. They left with promises of returning the next day to make sure that he was taking care of himself and as they did, Nagisa couldn’t help but be glad that he had such loving classmates.

assclass x identity v
Tumblr media
I begun playing Identity V with some friends recently and it’s super fun but because we’re all AssClass nerds I had this idea.
(The hearts don’t make this ship art [take it as you wish], it’s just the heart that appears in-game when a hunter is near)
I’ll hopefully do more characters (and general lore that makes sense) so long as my intense interest in IV remains...
Dancer Kaede (AC Spoilers)
Akari Yukimura lived with her sister, Aguri, and her sisters husband as she grew up
The relationship between her sister and her husband was clearly rocky, leading to Akari trying to find a hobby or interest to become devoted to so she wouldn’t need to spend time at home (she did want to help her sister, she wanted this hobby so she could earn money or just do something to help)
She became invested in the dancing industry and took an interest in acting as well
Unfortunately, her sisters husband eventually died along with her sister, leaving Akari alone with no financial security
She took on the stage name, “Haruna Mase” and tried to find her way on her lonesome with her performances
Fortunately, she recieved a letter one day offering for her to participate in a game. Should she win, she could become a millionaire
She accepted the offer of the game so long as she was allowed to change her identity, with a viable backstory being given to her as well
Akari went into the game under the guise of Kaede Kayano.
Lucky Guy Nagisa
Nagisa Shiota doesn’t have a very notable backstory
His life is considered a gamble where he always gets the jackpot
He wasn’t sure why he ever recieved a letter for participation in a mystery game but he at least figured he had some pretty good chances of winning
In the game, he met a girl called Kaede Kayano who offered help with styling his long hair.

ʚɞ On Purpose Karma x (fem) Reader || Chapter: 2 ୨୧
Prev || 02 Butterfly Effect|| next
Karma hadn't made it to class yet, he wasn't know for being punctual much less early. Rio, Fuwa and Hinano were hovered around Ritsu's main screen with anticipation.
"Ritsu what did you find out? The suspense is killing us!" Hinano asked.
Ritsu nodded, she'd even programmed a detective outfit for herself, taking her job as the investigator very seriously, "Rio was right, He lied about getting a call and met up with someone."
With a dramatic gasp, Fuwa exclaimed, "Sounds like a shady deal scenario? That reminds me of a manga I read where—"
"Not at all! I couldn't see her face or anything but he called her [Name]! They sounded friendly with each other... it's a relief that nothing dangerous happened." Before Fuwa went off on another one of her Shonen rants, Ritsu interrupted her.
"I told you guys! He totally has a secret girlfriend!" Hinano cheered.
Maehara rushed over as if the words '[Name]' and "girlfriend" in the same conversation had summoned him. "No way! Karma's going out with [Name]?!"
"You know her?" Rio questioned.
"Do I know her?! She's rejected me a bunch of times- I was worried I was the problem but if she's dating Karma it all makes sense!"
"You are the problem! She rejected you 'cause you're a womanizer." Isogai shouted from across the room.
"Maehara you're so loud- now everyone knows Karma has a secret girlfriend!" Fuwa chastised, Ironically everyone who was too preoccupied with their own talks to hear the conversation up till this point heard it from Fuwa.
"KARMA HAS A SECRET GIRLFRIEND?!" Fuwa winced at the overwhelming reaction from everyone.
Ritsu elaborated, "I don't want to give misleading information, I'm making assumptions based on one interaction, I was going to go through their chat logs but that felt invasive... I did calculate their compatibility and it's very likely."
"Well what did you hear?" Kayano asked
"Not much, they're going out to eat at the cafè Isogai works at after school."
"We should go then! To see what they're up to and what not." Kayano's eyes light up, like a child whose tasted ice-cream for the first time.
"You just want to go 'cause they sell pudding." Sugaya sweat drops.
"That's only half the reason!"
Isogai suggests, "You all don't need to worry about it, I have a shift today anyways, so I can keep an eye on them."
"No way! I wanna see it first hand!" Hinano counters insistently.
Everyone is startled when Korosensei appears in the middle of the group, thanks to his heightened sense of hearing he is always there when gossip is involved.
"Young love is such a beautiful thing... I could die of happiness right now." He dabs his tears of joy with a handkerchief.
Nagisa, clearly taken aback by his sudden appearance, asks, "How long have you been here?!"
"for one, I think we should help him on his date. We should get her flowers on his behalf and attach a letter with his forged signature. We can send it to her doorstep and—" Korosensei rambles on and on with his own pushy ideas.
Rio stresses, "We are not doing anything, you can't get involved. We don't need her fainting at the sight of you."
"Yeah that would be hard to explain..." Isogai thought out loud, their dismissal makes Korosensei turn blue with shock, there's no way they're going to meddle without the wingman himself.
"I'm great at disguises! No one will suspect a thing! I promise I won't interfere! I'll listen!" In a moment of desperateness, He leeches on to any excuse that comes to mind.
"Stop getting your tears everywhere! We should plan this later, if Karma catches wind of it, we're so dead." Hinano couldn't help but shudder at the thought.
"Why would you be dead?" Karma walked through the door, timing couldn't have been better.
"NOTHING!" Hinano's shoulders tensed up as she instinctively answered
Karma paid little to no mind to her reaction, he sat down in his seat. His classmates on the other hand were exchanging weird looks. Hinano seemed especially apologetic. Everyone's strange reactions sparked some interest in him but he didn't care enough to delve deeper into the matter.

Karma Akabane x reader (dunnothenameyet)
Chapter 1
Well what the fuck.
Yep the first words that came on my mind after seeing my now yellow octopus teacher "Korosensei" in front of me.
Korosensei: "Alright students, let's get started"If you didn't know...Korosensei is a creature who destroyed the moon last year and now his ass is in our classroom in the 3-E building...Our mission is to save the earth and our target is our teacher.
But seriously, is the government that incompentent, so they give us MIDDLESCHOOLERS the task to eliminate Korosensei?
Mr Karasuma was standing next to him and his first words were:"Please understand what I'm about to say is a state secret"
Imagine, you are a special agent in the government and suddenly you get that task to watch over some octopus creature teaching a middleschool class who also are supposed to assassinate him.
Sucks I guess.
Just kidding.
After Mr Karasuma explained what the deal was about Korosensei (and that he is super fast in his Mach 20) we all actually had our first period of class with Korosensei. To be honest, he is actually pretty good at teaching. Way better than our principal Gakuhoe-
I MEAN! Gakuho Asano.
During my first days at school I actually was able to make some new 'friends'.The blonde girl Rio Nakamura was already my favourite, because her and I have the same sense of humor.
Nagisa and Kayano were also pretty fine to talk to.
But that was it honestly.

I love Nagisa and Okuda so much! Do you have any hc’s on their friendship! And if you can also little bit of Nagisa x Okuda. I know there’s nagikae and karmanami, but what if nagiami? Weird but uncommon. Thanks for all your hard work! Have a nice day! *insert smiley face
My children!!! How did I miss this in my inbox for so long??? I love them 🥺💜 And thank you darling!! I hope you have an amazing day and stay safe!
These two are the sweet beans of Group 4...and the whole class really
They have a huge defense squad and they’re lethal on their own, so don’t mess with them.
Okuda is really comfortable around him! Idk why we never saw them hang out in canon, but I wholeheartedly believe he’d be one of her closest friends given his kind and honest nature
Nagisa is trying really hard to find a balance between “encouraging her passion and talent for chemistry” and “discouraging any illegal or unethical ideas ahem karma”
They both are more of listeners than talkers, and it’s really cute. When Nagisa goes on about Sonic Ninja, she’ll patiently hear every second of it, smiling at his enthusiasm. And when she rambles about science, Nagisa totally hears her out.
Even though she’s taller than Kayano, these two somehow have even stronger “smol” energy when they’re together. Like seeing them stand together just makes you wanna hug them. This is how Hara feels
Nagisa more often than not is unwittingly dragged into some of her and Karma’s weirder science ideas. Cue him dressed in scrubs watching them dissect something and regretting everything. But then Okuda smiles at him and he doesn’t mind a second of it.
Tbh I think anyone in a relationship with Okuda would be pretty whipped for her. Lmao her friends already are.
They’d be that couple who have picnic dates or go on regular walks by the shore, holding hands. They’re lowkey and both of them love it.
This mighhhhhht be OOC but when they get really closer...maybe having feelings for each other...I can see Okuda absentmindedly braiding his hair. And since it’ll be short then, they’re like tiny lil braids. And she has no idea she’s doing it. And he notices but doesn’t say anything because that’s so cute
Okuda totally is his number one person he calls on if he needs some help with his pet snakes. She has enough biology knowledge and common sense, but isn’t too overwhelming like Kurahashi tends to be sometimes.

Since you like Gakushuu and group 4 so much (I do too) any headcanons about a potential relationship between him with each member (friendship or romance)?
OMG YES 💜💜💜
So I’m probably biased af, and just love the idea of my faves interacting, but I really do feel like Gakushuu would vibe well with them. They’re a really interesting group of mostly introverts, but they’re all so different. Group 4 is such a good mix of playfulness and seriousness.
Gakushuu and Karma:
Y’all know, I’m not a big fan of Karushuu. In my opinion, they’re not really compatible. But anyways, I think they maintain a steady, immature rivalry throughout high school...and even as adults, honestly. They challenge and rile each other up a lot. Their high school years are just full of them almost killing each other several times. But it’s not always like that. Karma does tell him about 3-E and Koro...I think they can be civil and get each other. Like understand one another. But they’ll still dislike each other a lot.
Gakushuu and Nagisa:
This is a rather popular pairing, even though they like never interact...and the reason why it’s so popular makes me personally uncomfortable. I just don’t like the ideas of couples bonding because of shared abusive experiences and trauma. Because that’s honestly the only thing these two have in common... I’m also very iffy about their friendship too, because it also seems to me like Nagisa playing therapist again. I get why people think they can help each other, but in my opinion, I really think it would just be Nagisa helping him. Gakushuu doesn’t have that emotional maturity or empathy yet, to do the same in return.
Gakushuu and Kayano:
There’s something about them that doesn’t click with me, and I have no idea why. I adore both of them so much... Maybe I just don’t really think they’re compatible. Or well, I don’t think he’s Kayano’s type honestly. She might be his type, but I think a personality like Gakushuu’s would infuriate her in a romantic relationship. All my Kayano ships are with people either more lighthearted or soft than her, so that’s probably it. Anyways, in terms of friendship, I like it a lot. She’d be his extroverted, tiny, bubbly but still savage friend encouraging him to be chaotic. But she’s also more aware of boundaries and would just overall be a good friend. They’re definitely the two most “no-bullshit” personalities in AssClass, and that fact alone holds so much comedic potential.
Gakushuu and Okuda:
Lord, the number of times I’ve seen fan art of them but Gakushuu is Karma’s love rival and it’s a weird triangle... Yeah, I’m not a fan of that haha. Their friendship would be an odd one, since Okuda is probably the most different from him. She’d be conflicted at times because she’s a nice person and wants to give him a chance at friends, but she’s besties with Karma first...she’d struggle with loyalty and being a “good friend.” It would work out still though. Gakushuu would be amazed at her science skills, although he’d never admit it. There’s a lot of mutual respect and appreciation for each other in this friendship.
Gakushuu and Sugino:
Here we go...my two fav boys 🥰 I think about this friendship all the time, my god. It’s an injustice that they never got to interact but then again, most things surrounding Sugino were an injustice. They’d be the “opposites attract” sitcom friendship, for sure. I think Sugino’s chaoticness would really pop out around Gakushuu, since he’s such a normie. But there’ll be those moments when Sugino is the normal one, facepalming at Gakushuu’s extra-ness lmao. I think Gakushuu would greatly benefit from having a friend like Sugino...someone who is plainly honest and understandable and kind, without wanting anything in return. He’s so used to people wanting things from him, it’d be so nice.
Gakushuu and Kanzaki:
My fav boy and my fav girl UwU. I once saw the first chapter of this Gakushuu x Kanzaki fanfic, like in an arranged marriage AU, and at the time, I was salty. But now I’m thinking about that, and my feelings have changed.
I ship it.
Ok it sounds weird, but I have my reasoning. They’re both very similar, but have enough differences to compliment one another.
They’re both introverted but popular, especially for their looks and charm. They’re both really smart, and I think Kanzaki’s prowess in Japanese and literature would catch his attention. They both are nerds who swallow dictionaries and talk eloquently. Out of all the abuse storylines, these two are the most notable “rebels.”
They’re also both talented actors, and are used to putting on facades just to deal with people, in the same sense of popularity and image in school.
Also this ones for fun, but finally having a “normal” person beat him in something as simple as video games would shock Gakushuu, but he’d love the challenge.
And lastly, they’re both quite pragmatic individuals who aren’t interested in romance. I feel like his personality and attitude would especially appeal to Kanzaki, who’s used to and is very tired of guys constantly showing their attraction to her.
I once told myself I’d probably never be invested in a Gakushuu ship, and I’d never pair Kanzaki with a boy... Both things have changed in such a short time span...
