back when I first started crocheting I theorized that if I got my nipples pierced I could anchor the yarn through the piercing hole and then crochet off of them but I think the next piercing I’m going to get is a nose/septum piercing and I mean it’s the same concept

Big YouTubers doing like Temu hauls is one thing (like people gotta make their money, haul videos are popular, even more so when it's a cheap store/website that people can also afford to shop at. Overconsumption and promotion of it are bad, and these websites are shady for a number of reasons. Shit's complicated)
But there really is something kind of extra dystopian (not in a "super dystopian" but just "basic dystopia but with a little bit of spice on top") about watching a big YouTuber buy multiple art prints from Temu, that're a single stock cartoon drawing of a black cat slapped on top of famous public domain paintings, and then sing praises for these prints for being "high quality" and how they're so happy to decorate their home with them
#Moon posting#Like yes art prints from small artists can be expensive (compared to mass produced garbage that went directly into some CEO's pocket)#But like. Oh how I wish big YouTubers could like. Do their art print/decor hauls from small artists on Etsy or some shit#Seeing people in the comments be like ''oh those art prints were so cute I bought some myself thanks for the tip :)'' was just so#And the most painful part was looking at the stock cartoon prints and being immidiately able to think of at least one small artist#Who has made art vaguely similar to those but like. 100% from scratch. With their own hands. And it's beautiful. #so glad things are back to good with my bestie#turns out I was depressed and anxious for nothing and my hormones were making everything worse#because earlier I talked to him about how I was feeling badly lately and like he only wanted me around for convenience#and he reassured me that wasn’t the case and apologized for making me feel badly before#all I really wanted was to be heard and respected and reassured and he gave me all of that so easily#I’m trying to remember that I have good friends that I can be safe with and talk to without it becoming a problem#the past trauma tries to tell me it’ll be an issue but then things turn out fine and I get to heal little by little#and he was so sweet when we were on shift together cause he brought my food from the cafeteria to my office#and got me strawberries which are my favorite fruit (caf had some packaged to take)#made the effort to text with me when he wasn’t here and then also came to sit with me for about an hour and a half up until his shift ended#we printed out cute Halloween decorations for him to put up in his little office area since he likes the decor I put up in the ER#we sat and made jokes and talked like normal#and before he left he gave me a big hug and a tight squeeze#just really made me feel loved in the time we had and showed he did listen to me and is making an effort to help me feel better#and now I’m babbling just cause I’m happy and relieved and feeling better but yeah#very grateful to have a good best friend who listens and makes me feel safe and cared for when I need it#personal

Obsessed with how amazing elementary school valentines parties were compared to the actual holiday. You made it so much better in every conceivable way and then expected us to go to this ass version in our adult hood it’s so fucked.
#I’m pretty sure this is an American thing so basically:#You decorate tissue boxes to look like cute and valentine-y or look like a mail box or dinosaur or something like that#And everyone in the class is required to buy/make little valentines favors for the whole class#They have really goofy cheesy sayings on them and often have some sort of candy or toy#And then you’d hand out all the favors and go through them together :]#And eat dry ass Walmart cookies and drink juice pouch#It fucking ruled#This is what made me a pretty peices of paper hoarder

Manga haul!! I did end up going on my usual bookstore trip!!
#prince's talk tag#bloom into you continues to elude me. i need 6-8 and they only had 8#i am excited to catch up with sasaki bc i really wanna read the spinoff but i held off until i was caught up#after catching up with witch hat i wanted to continue it asap so i was able to find the next two i needed#idk was she and her cat is but it looks cute#last gender i was reading it online but they didnt have all the chapters even tho the 3rd vol said it was the last one#and i wanna see how it ends#you know i sold a few books at a second hand shop and they gave like pocket change for all of them#im a little annoyed but whatever at least theyre out of my hands#they didnt take one of them bc i think it was too trashy of a manga for them to sell like its just sex really#but i took care of it. i kinda figured they wouldn't but their website didnt specify if theyd take very mature books so i tried it out#and now i know#thats the current vol of classmates out rn after that ill be caught up#i saw the pet agency one on amazon amd didn't know what it was but it was at the bnn with the big selection so why not#something interesting about that bnn so it has 4 floors and the manga is on the 4th floor so i gotta take the escalators up#and on the second floor was a lego statue of h*rry p*tter holding the trans and genderfluid flags#the area this bnn is in is lgbtq+ friendly. having multiple tables and sections in the store dedicated to lgbtq+ books#and even decorating the tables and bannisters with pride flags#im wondering if the made him hold those flags as a fuck you to the author#bc its not like the store wanted to put it up. it was most likely an order from home office#who knows? i dont work there

I've been having weird anxiety today and I think it's cause I'm excited? about too many things? at once? Like what is happening? Who am I?
#the wax warmer I ordered for my room & all the little wax melt cubes came today and I LOVE it!#for personal reasons I uhhh do not love candles so I am LOVING having the nice scents without having to light a candle#I ordered a SUPER CUTE Christmas one for the living room too I'm EXCITED & all the little cubes I got smell GOOD!!!!#my sims have goats & sheeps now!!!! I haven't been able to fully dive into the game too much yet but#they are SO CUTE. ur all lucky I haven't spammed nothing but sims goats & sheep screenshots allll day#and I took down all my turkey day decor and now it's time to decorate for Christmas and I'm REALLY pumped for it this year#most of my presents are wrapped! and I'm gonna put em under my little tree! well. suffice to say that was one of the more disappointing halloweens i’ve had.
#me and my sister got rly into it and i was gonna go trick or treating with her for the first time in years#(i usually go with her bc i don’t have halloween plans ever but i don’t usually trick or treat.)#she dressed as the pink winx fairy and i made a forest witch costume and spent hours on the hat and used moss & acorns & real flowers etc#and we were like ok let’s go to our fav neighbourhood that gets rly popular on halloween it’s just a beautiful neighbourhood blah blah#we get there and it’s just. people covered in blood getting drunk. not a single house was still giving out candy#we did not get to trick or treat even a little bit. no one saw our costumes. no one interacted with us whatsoever. we got overstimulated#had to wait ages for my dad to pick us up. found the only place open to sit and get a drink with my mom. bartender was rude and weird#finally got picked up and had to find somewhere to eat that was still open…. only a few people inside. no one dressed up but us.#literally so disappointed but my sister was even MORE disappointed and it just. feels shitty#my brother went to his friend’s little halloween get together and decorated cookies and watched halloween movies and we#got all dressed up cute just to stand on a street in the dark by ourselves lol#we’re gonna buy some candy today if any of the stores have any left but it’s still just. sad
