can we take a second to appreciate how intense joel’s rage and desperation was this episode even though we didn’t even get to see him all that much? like. as soon as he hears those footsteps and that cabinet being moved upstairs he knows it’s not ellie and he’s ready to fight his way out of there to go find her. when he’s interrogating the two guys you can just tell by the look on his face and the tone of his voice that he’s not bothered AT ALL by what he’s gonna have to do to find ellie. when he makes it to the town and finds ellie’s backpack, his face is pure stone and his eyes are cold and he is not thinking twice about what he’s walking into because he IS going to find her and get her out of there no matter what. all of his actions this episode were completely driven by a vicious need to protect his little girl. he was barely even responsive when ellie first left but the SECOND he knew something was wrong he got his ass up and made up his mind that he was going to do whatever he needed to do to find her and make sure she was okay.

grimmichi isekai fic. but actual isekai and not just ichigo’s casual world-hopping in brave souls. classic lit major ichigo — overworked and Suffering because he’s nearing the end of his program and his professors don’t seem to understand he works two jobs and he has to start figuring out his future because holy shit he’s an adult now — gets a visit from truck-kun and winds up in this wild fantasy world divided into warring factions, the hollow beast tamers, the holy saints, and the ruling class aka the empire of death. he incarnates into the body of Zangetsu, a mercenary with quite the fucked up lineage, and almost immediately gets on the bad side of one of the tamers’ captains, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, who may or may not be contemplating how best to let his hollow beast, Pantera, make a meal out of Ichigo.

bonus if Ichigo follows the route of some isekai MCs and tries to find a way home (his sisters are back there, dammit, he’s not leaving them) only to discover somewhere down the line that he and Zangetsu switched bodies, neither of them actually died, and Zan’s out there living his best life in the modern human world and probably traumatizing all of Ichigo’s friends

I didn't get into wrestling until 2020. I do not know a lot of the old timers and nostalgia does not have an effect on me. Sting though, I remember him debuting in AEW and being like "who is he" which led me down a rabbit whole of watching matches and promos.

Sting is one of the all time greats in wrestling. His work ethic, ring work, promos, and great personality resonated with many people. (I love his mask reveal stuff... never fails to make me smile).

Even at his age, he was able to work and take bumps. Yes his age did slow him down a bit but he still was working his ass off and being a better ring worker than some guys younger than him (cough Jericho cough)

Sting is an ICON and will be remembered as such. He put in the effort and was a role model to many in and out of the ring. I wish him the best in retirement and I hope to see him outside of the ring in the wrestling business somehow.
