I can be a little slow sometimes but this is ridiculous
Romulan Ael.
...Did I just get hit with a stealth pun from a book I first read thirty-seven years ago?

"to endure!"
vincent van gogh ("trees and undergrowth")
robert lowell [How will the heart endure?]
vincent van gogh [I must endure bad times and the waters will rise, possibly as high as the lips and possibly even higher, how can I know beforehand? But I’ll fight my fight and sell my life dearly and try to win and pull through.]
rainer maria rilke [To be loved means to be consumed. To love means to radiate with inexhaustible light. To be loved is to pass away, to love is to endure.]
joan didion [Not just to endure it, not just to suffer it, not just to pass through it, but to live in it.]
elena ferrante [maybe not even a very orderly mind can endure the discovery of not being loved.]
elena ferrante [I will give what I can give, I will take what I can take, I will endure what has to be endured.]
han kang [The feeling that she had never really lived in this world caught her by surprise. It was a fact. She had never lived. Even as a child, as far back as she could remember, she had done nothing but endure.]
victor frankl [What is to give light must endure burning.]

Books I think the crows would enjoy:
Kaz: Frankenstein, One flew over the cuckoo's nest, The catcher in the Rye, The secret history, Crime and Punishment, No Longer Human, The silence of the lambs, Demon Copperhead, Eileen, Trainspotting, Hesse's and Cormac McCarthy's works, Antigone, Hamlet, The Stranger, Sherlock Holmes (when he was a child), Attack on Titan & Vinland Saga (manga)
Inej: The color purple, all of Toni Morrison's books, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, Jane Eyre, Love in the Time of cholera, Mrs. Dalloway, The Bell Jar, a lot of Shakespeare's work, Antigone, Medea, White Nights, Wuthering Heights, Valley of the dolls, Play it as it lays, On earth we're briefly gorgeous, Sex and Rage
Wylan (he'd listen to audiobooks): Giovanni's Room, The picture of Dorian Gray, also the secret history, The great gatsby, The song of achilles, The Illiad, Shakespeare, Letters to a Young Poet, Demian, also Jane Austen's works and Wuthering Heights, Confession's of a Mask, Joan Didion's works
Jesper: That man doesn't read for shit nor does he have the patience to listen to most audiobooks but he'd like to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Harry Potter, definitely a lot of fantasy partly ya, On the Road and also The Great Gatsby.
Nina: Let's be honest she would probably read a lot of trashy romance novels or fun, lighthearted stuff, not that there's anything wrong with it she has endured enough. Would enjoy tropes like enemies to lovers, smut and ya. I have a feeling that she'd like Sarah J. Maas' stuff. I think she would also like Daisy Jones and the six and the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
Matthias: He doesn't care.
Feel free to leave suggestions.

Not to be a bitch, but as someone who enjoys classics and whose favorite books are primarily classics, I don't think there's anything wrong with simply not liking a Classic Novel. Obviously, the idiots who act like a classic has no merit or refuse to critically engage with it just because they didn't personally like it should be ignored, but if you simply didn't personally enjoy a classic and can still acknowledge its merit, there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make you stupid and forcing yourself to like a book entirely because it was written prior to 1960 is ridiculous. At the end of the day, while (good) books should be trying to impart a message about the world that'll make you think, to a point, books are meant to entertain. Just because Sally thought Pride and Prejudice dragged and didn't like it doesn't mean Sally is stupid
