Been watching a lot of amvs today and it got me thinking how we talk about how 2012's world is darker and grittier and rottmnt's villains are kinda a joke but when you look at it realistically its kinda the opposite?

2012 Shredder is a 6ft(?) human man hooked on revenge who happens to have access to resources. He's a monster in the way of human cruelty. Rottmnt Shredder is a 15ft+ suit of magic armor and its only purpose is destruction. He's a monster in the truest sense of the word; a terrifying and unstoppable beast.

Basically i want rottmnt to end up in 2012 and they hear theres a Shredder here and they're scared but when they finally see him they bust out laughing

The most terrifying thing to happen to them (before the krang) is like a 5'10" human who's mad at the world. Mikey hit the feral armor with a cargo ship and it did nothing. Donnie could prob shoot this guy with his tranq gun and they could call it a day. If Raph poked him he'd prob topple over. Leo would prob take a selfie with him cuz no one back home will believe him.

I cant remember but it took what? 4 seasons to defeat Shredder? And rottmnt did it the first time in 72 hours and the second time in less than 48.

Just, y'all we are missing the comedy potential of rottmnt meeting 2012 Shredder

Day 014

Leo takes a strong blow that knocks him to the ground, the world spins yet he is fully aware that the armor was coming at him. He gets to his feet with difficulty, his vision is blurred, but suddenly chains wrap around her throwing her away, towards Rapha, who hits her throwing her against the ground, opening a large crater there.

Leo falls back down, supporting himself on the sword, feeling Mikey's hand pulling him up.

Mikey: – Are you okay?

Leo: – I'm fine... – he closes his eyes trying to focus, he had suffered a concussion. – This isn't working... Every time we destroy it it regenerates... - and it didn't help that he was holding back for fear of hurting Yuichi. – Mikey, you have to know a way to stop this thing.

Mikey: – I-I don’t know. The legends didn't say much, just that it was sealed by a warrior from the Hamato clan, precisely because they were unable to destroy it.

Leo: – There has to be a way! – he felt Donnie's energy weak, dwindling, almost disappearing, they needed to end this quickly to help his brother. – Think Mikey, you always had good instincts!

Mikey: – I-I don't... – he purses his lips, lowering his eyes, seeing Donnie's bomb, picking it up and analyzing it for a few moments, thinking about it.

Leo: – What? Do you think this could destroy her?

Mikey: – No... Yes, but... – looks from the bomb to Leo. – B-but if... We use it...

Leo understands what his brother meant, destroying the armor with the bomb meant destroying Yuichi along with it. He closes his eyes thinking about it, thinking about his boyfriend, feeling his eyes fill with water.

Leo: – Let’s do this.

Mikey: – Are you sure?

Leo: – Yes! – he lied – Let's go.

Mikey agrees, already throwing himself into the battlefield, spinning and throwing his chains around that thing, trapping it tightly, grinding his teeth as his feet drag on the ground as he is pulled.

Leo: – Rapha move away! – Slider tries to warn his brother as he approaches with the bomb in hand, pressing the button, ready to launch it, but before he does so, the chains that hold it explode.

Shredder hits Rapha who had not yet had time to move away, throwing him away, he grabs Mikey's chains pulling him tightly towards him, the armor's jaw dislocates and he seems ready to bite and devour the youngest. The boy closes his eyes, waiting for the impact, he actually hits something, biting his lip and tasting blood in his mouth, hitting the ground shortly after.

Leo – Mikey! The bomb! – the boy opens his eyes. Seeing Leo between the creature's teeth.

Mikey – Leo...

Mikey goes into shock, first Donnie and now Leo? As he tries to understand, he listens in horror to the sound of his brother's shell cracking and his scream of pain. Mikey gets up to help him, but Rapha arrives first, grabbing the armor by the head, throwing it away.

Mikey – No, no, no... Leo! – He slides on his knees to his brother in time to catch him before he collapses. - You also do not! – presses on the wound, trying to stop the blood.

Leo – It’s okay, I’ll be fine. – He says sitting down, grinding his teeth. – I can still fight. – I could still move my arm, a little, but I could.

Rapha lands next to them, or rather falls suddenly, grinding his teeth, seeing Donnie falling there, approaching his brother, placing two fingers on his neck, feeling his heart beating. Looking at Leo and his wound, looking at the bomb in his hand. Decision making.

Rapha: – Get out of here.

Leo and Mikey: – What?

Rapha – Get out of here, take Donnie to the hospital, his heart is weak, but he still has a chance to save him. I will stop this.

Mikey: – Rapha, don’t do that...

He looks at his brothers, smiling. Approaching the two and hugging them.

Rapha – It's okay... It's going to be okay...

He says this, taking the other bomb from Donnie's waist.

‘Why can’t you enjoy it?’ Shredder asked then. ‘He kneels before you, yet you don’t appreciate it.’

‘I am not above him by any means,’ she said. ‘We are equal in our suffering.’

‘Suffering,’ Shredder laughed. ‘How hypocritical of you to say so. You were unconscious all this time. You were sleeping. With a nightmare playing out in the back of your head, yes, but he...’ ‘He is wide awake.’

Lmao can you tell I struggled with colouring with this one? On the bright side I figured out how to ink in a way I liked, so…yay?

Nightmare/prison dimension though? My worst enemy the lighting is SO WEIRD, and also I found my true calling as a Karai artist NO MORE TURTLES JUST HER (jkjk)

I have a headcanon that April dreams of Karai's memories. It can go from the time where everything was peaceful to Shredder's reign of terror to Karai's time in the prison dimension. Because no way that receiving 500 years' worth of memories won't do anything to April.

“I much as I do like the “The Hamatos and Joneses are related” theory, I kind of don’t want that to be canon because that would make Cassandra and the turtles “distant cousins” in a way, and I already ship her with Raph. For those that had to skip the previous update for the ⚠️ warnings…Leo was locked in a small cell for a year, hoping his family would come for him. Sadly, as far as he’s aware—and later told by Saki—his family has abandoned him. Kitsune suggests that her magic can extinguish that last bit of hope Leo has.

Risetober 2023: Day 29 -Shredder

Flashes of his brothers getting annihilated one by one, of his grandmother sacrificing herself, of his home enveloped in a thick, merciless flame, of his own mystic extension of himself through his powers getting brutalized, spasmodically yet thoroughly getting torn apart, disrupted his slumber.

Raph woke from a dead sleep, his forehead perspiring at an alarming rate.

The fifteen-year-old looked around to take in the sight of his intact, not aflame bedroom.

Though he tried to calm his thoughts by repeating the mantra that it was just a dream, it wasn’t.

All of that had really happened. His family genuinely endured all of that while he was pinned helplessly to the ground. Occurrences like these were frequent for him following his family’s fight with the Shredder.

Late at night, when he was by himself, his mind was plagued by the what-ifs and hypotheticals about what he could’ve, and should’ve, done better. If only he’d held onto his weapons tighter, if only he’d put up more of a fight, if only he’d gotten to Karai-

Okay, yeah, tears were filling his eyes and his chest grew heavier, yet another frequent event.

He took it as a sign to give up thinking for the night, just completely shut off his brain, and sleep in one of his brothers’ rooms for the night.

Just finished rewatching rc9gn and the ending is kinda similar rottmnt series ending

Rc9gn: the big bad villain, the sorcer turns out to be evil version separated from his human self and was finally freed to ascend the after life

Rottmnt: the big bad villain, the shredder, turns out to be a man posessed by evil armour and was finnally freed to acend the afterlife
