Tbh I wish they had explained the reasons why King was willing to go on that arranged match in the series, though I'm guessing they are using it as a more powerful angst tool and according to my theory on the number of episodes it's going to be explained in episode 8. I'm pretty sure that at that point in the novel, King was already vocal about his main reasons, and it was simply Uea being filial that stopped him from understanding that King meant what he was saying.

Again about morbid implications (also here) in Wolf Quest... The fox spirit confused many people, because her behavior toward Balto was quite uncomfortable. What's interesting, originally this character was intended to be an arctic fox, but since they already had the white animal character (the Great Aniu), the fox spirit was turned into a red fox.

But the creepiest aspect is that this fox spirit is actually the Great Aniu herself, the revered wolf deity, the Great Mother of all wolves. The movie revealed that all these totem spirits are Aniu, while the author mentioned that Aniu is a part of the Great Guardian Spirit. Simply saying, in this scene she seducts and touches her son's groin with her back and tail.

I guess, that's how she behaved with the stray mongrel, who unintentionally became a deadbeat daddy.

Ok soooo I am doing a little Olivia Cooke filmography rewatch (bc she’s mother). And thoroughbreds, the most recent rewatch, is one the reasons why I was so excited to watch hotd. Her performance in it is amazing… and it gave me an idea 🫠

I’m thinking Aemond and oc/reader have been friends for awhile. They are both seen as outcast (Aemond bc of his eye and his overall quiet disposition and reader/oc gets criticized for being… off lol). Let’s say reader/oc’s dad sits on the small council. She’s being around the greens for a minute so she knows the inner dynamics of the family (plus the dynamics between team green and team black). She has seen how viserys treats all of them. One night she’s just like “why don’t we just speed up the inevitable and kill the bastard”.

Let me know if that’s something y’all would like bc I think it could be fun to write

The other is trying to ensure they can't be erased or life be played with and is discover secrets and gain immunity.

One ends up being screwed other and plans to set up the downfall of their main enemies without them even knowing.

The other isn't being screwed over and put their trust in what should be the hero.

Odysseus’ Family Line is Made up of Wife Simps

So I just learned that... it seems like being imprisoned by goddesses might run in Odysseus’ family. I was looking into Laertes’ (Odysseus’ dad) family tree; his mother and father didn’t really have info, but his father’s father, aka grandfather, Cephalus was married to Procris. Now, Ceph and Proc loved each other... but Eos, goddess of dawn fell in love with Ceph and took him against his will. Ceph never gave up his love for his wife, until he was finally released.  Just like Odysseus and Penelope, Ceph and Proc were separated for a long time and truly loved each other... but where Odysseus and Penelope succeeded, Ceph and Proc didn’t. Cephalus’ faith on Procris was tested- he was told that while he’s been faithful to her, his wife was not. So, he tested her loyalty by... disguising as another man (does this also run in the family???) and tried to seduce her- and she almost gave in- but that was enough for him to say that she was not, and Procris, ashamed, runs away to the woods. Later, Procris returns, gives Cephalus gifts and they get back together... but once again, Procris hears gossip that her husband is the one cheating (he was not). She follows him to the woods to investigate, but Cephalus hears her movements, and thinking she was a wild animal, hurls a spear toward her and accidentally kills his wife. In her final moments, the two clear up their misunderstanding. Cephalus becomes so sad that he kills himself. So... yeah. Odysseus’ great grandparent’s side also had the whole loyal husband and wife thing going on... but unlike Odysseus and Penelope who had unwavering faith with each other, his great grandparents doubted each other despite truly loving one another- and it resulted in a tragedy. ...That said Laertes was also faithful to his wife, Anticlea. When he bought Euryclea, a female servant, Laertes never bedded her cause he was scared of his wife’s resentment.
