i'm definitely getting hyperfixated on asmp lmao ITS JUST SO GOOD!!! i always get so excited when i see it's time for the next episode. i love seeing the new characters and i'm a HUGE fan of the concept of an unreliable narrator. i've told all my friends about the idea of this and even managed to convince one of them to watch asmp :D i especially love a!sunshipduo omggggggg the way guqqie truly cares even though at times they try to hide it and how aimsey always tries to get them to show it 😭 Guqqie just doesn't want them to get killed :'( THE KISS IN EP 6 I CANTTTTT IT WAS SO CUTEEEEEE omllll i've been wanting to make a a!sunshipduo edit since before episode one and i was just waiting for the right scene to start it with and i finally found the right scene when aimsey kissed guqqie :) something bad always happens to sunship duo on the smps and i just don't want anything bad to happen to them here, they're so precious 🥺 (basically the point of this little rant is thank you so so much for making the asmp <3)

as someone who is trying to re watch the series but still doesn't remenber some stuff i cool seeing your essays :D they're fun to watch. Also i didn't remenbered how silly dsmp was until re-watching. Like the start is just people (and csapnap and ctommy) killing and annoying each other and cdream being like tired of all of this but still happy with his friends. Like the start of the discs war doesn't have this dramatic tone of life or death that future arcs have. Everything in this pre-cwilbur era is going fine in general

Truly very silly, which I think is partly what makes it so good. In my opinion really good media mixes dark themes with humor, because that makes it entertaining and a little less depressing to watch. It’s what makes Technoblade so enjoyable to watch because he blends those serious tones with humor, not in a way that undercuts their gravity or invalidates them but just tries to lighten the mood.

I think I will disagree with you a little in regards to how things were all fun and games in the beginning and not as serious in the disc saga, because to me Dream sounds similarly as pissed off in that war as he does in the speech about Spirit.

Is it as serious as Doomsday or Prison and stuff later? No but I think we do the story a dishonor when we don’t take the beginning of the server as seriously, something I often see. Because even if perhaps it wasn’t as serious for most characters, clearly it did matter to Dream as he brings it up specifically in the finale despite it having been years since then… like yes obviously the prison arc is a much more serious, darker turn in the story but make no mistake just because it was all fun and games for Tommy and Sapnap, doesn’t mean it felt that way for the rest of the members. I mean how many times did Ponk’s tree get burned, and Alyssa straight up leaves before things really amp up plot wise. And like yes, the theatre of it all heightens when Wilbur enters the scene, and yes when plots get more developed so does the drama of it all, but I think sometimes we confuse story structure with seriousness. And true, canon lives I think play a big role with how serious things become, but still I think the fact that Dream [post] holds onto grudges from the start speaks to how serious it was to him. And even Tommy, brings up his first day in the finale too [post] clearly it did matter and it did hurt them to the point it was something they still hated eachother for years later.

I had a dream that Phil joined another smp and we eneded up getting more q!Phil lore and now that I woke up I'm lamenting it's not real ;;;;

Bits I remember is him reaching the End with someone else through almost a glitch? Like they were leaving the nether just as a ghast tried exploding the portal and it took them theyre. But like Phil finds a message for him in there? With a green feather in it.

So he follows the message and finds a secret base in the Overworld where he runs into Chay and Lullah???? But as if theyd hatched and became proper players. And it seems fine cause it's Sunmin and Ama voicing them but Phil feels a bit wary (and theres a point where "Lullah" makes a joke in portuguese instead of spanish and Phil corrects her) so the vibes are that it's something mimicking them or straight up hallucinations.

And after he leaves we get revealed that he's still somewhat possesed by the Ender King???? As in the jerk figured out a way to do the more subtle possesion and just influencing Phil and making him forget chunks of time where he was more in control.

I was gonna get villain Phil in my dream and now i'll never know how it goes ;;;;;;

My personal belief is that person he went to the Nether/End with was Fit or Etoiles. Or maybe Pierre. Those are largely the people he'd break shit with.

I don't know why I'm so stuck on the green feather. Like... Who or what could that be? Though for him to find the feather with the message and then find the kids hatched,,, Idk, maybe Chayanne has feathery wings that are green (bc you KNOW Lullah's would be purple).

Also possibly fake Chayanne and Lullah ooouuuuhhhh... Consider: It IS them but that shred of Ender King is amplifying Phil's already usually easy-to-trigger paranoia. Not to mention we don't know how long after QSMP this is, the kids could have plenty of time to change and learn. It'd make sense that Lullah would want to carry on her memory of the Brazilians by learning Portuguese and even if not that, it's not unreasonable to say that During QSMP she could've picked up plenty of Portuguese things from the Brazilians themselves. It's just that Phil has never heard (or perhaps doesn't remember ;D) her making such references.

This is post-QSMP ending since you said it was a new SMP. This is post Death Family finale. As far as Phil knows, his kids are either dead, asleep forever, or hatched into crows back home in Hardcore. How could they have left there to hatch? It's too good to be true. He refuses to believe it's them (at first) because he doesn't want to get his hopes up. He doesn't want to reopen that wound, it's not even closed yet in the first place!

AND THE SPICE OF HIM STILL BEING PARTIALLY POSSESSED. THE KIDS NOT KNOWING YET AND HAVING TO REALIZE IN REAL TIME AND HAVE THE HORROR DAWN ON THEM. AUGH. Like when they see him for the first time, it's SO CLEAR he's doing TERRIBLE and not even just because of the partial possession.

He hasn't been readjusting well to being alone in Hardcore again. He's disheveled, he clearly hasn't been sleeping well, he's closed off, standoffish, a little cold. Not the warm, chill, smiley father still fresh in their minds. He's resistant to making new friendships on this new SMP because he hasn't overcome the pain of saying goodbye in QSMP and is he Hyperaware that eventually he'll have to say goodbye again here and he Does Not Want To. He is just Not doing well mentally and you can physically see it when you look at him.

The fucking spice of the kids not being around to be vigilant and catch that shred of EK sooner, the fact that Phil's been in such a bad state that EK has just been free to fester inside him. And you KNOW the kids would blame themselves for not being around to be vigilant.

Phil doesn't know EK is still hiding in his body yet, he doesn't Know what's festering inside of him, and it's actually hard to say if he'd do anything about it if he Did know because he's so depressed and hurt, he's still grieving. After all, in canon, Phil was very upfront with the kids post-possession that if anything ever happened to them again, he'd give up and just let EK take him.

But I bet you Chayanne and Lullah would remember him saying that as soon as they clock that there's a shred of EK lurking in their dad. And they'd be TERRIFIED that it's on the verge of becoming a reality.

What are your top ten favorite Jimmy headcanons and why? :]

ooooh okay I'm putting this in my drafts so I can add on whenever I have more ideas

1: canary!!!! He usually had little wings in flight disabled worlds (specific commands used to equal the playing field between hybrids and nonhybrids), and in any other world has four wings. The main det are large, what you see when you think of an avian, and the second pair stems from just underneath the main pair. They are smaller, and mostly used for emoting and assistance steering in flight. His head wings also help to steer and for emoting. In world's where he is another hybrid (for example, After Life smp), he will take on the traits of that hybrid. Sometimes they will be combined (for example, I headcanon his penguin origin had small bits of yellow feathers), or he just a trail of feathers

2. In empires, he slowly turned to a toy. Lots of body horror is involved. I will not elaborate further unless asked more (id love to yapp about it but it will be horrific and very rambly.

3- he has a bad habit of making himself smaller. he slouches a bit when people get even the faintest bit upset with him. his default standing postion has his shoulders raised and tucked in a bit. when he sits he tucks his knees to his chest and folds his wings up tightly. if someone gets REALLY upset with him, he will typically go hide in a small space. this is actually really bad because hes claustrophobic (HE SAID IT ONE OF HIS EVO VIDEOS. HES CLAUSTROPHOBIC AND IS ALSO TERRIFIED OF SPIDERS), so usually someone realizes and fishes him out from whatever under the bed or desk hes hiding in. hes also bites his thumb when he gets flustered and sticks his tongue out a bit when he has to focus (as joel so kindly pointed out)

4: he LOVES birds. loves loves loves them. he carries around bird seed in a little bag because a) its yummy and b) bird friends :D birds will usually flock around him. sometimes if hes arguing with someone the birds will attack the person hes fighting with! hes like a disney princess. a lot of animals warm up to him quickly as well. thankfully hes trained norman and flick out of hunting birds specifically- he gets sad when they hunt other animals but accepts that its just how life works, but he freaks out when he sees dead birds... partially because he is kinda a bird who dies a lot.

5- he likes the watchers, or at least is neutral about them. i like to think that they were slowly warming him up to them in wild life, giving him gifts to keep him safe (ie. his invisibilty power and stuff like that) and praising him a bunch. grian (a former watcher who is against them) noticed this, which is why he resolved to kill Jimmy and eventually succeeded. this destroyed Jimmy and the Watchers connections, which basically felt like you're finally in a warm comforting hug and then someone whos hurt you over and over again grabs you by the hair and rips you out of their grip. the people who were comforting you are screaming, holding on to you so hard their nails are making you bleed, but you are separated from them nontheless. Jimmy stayed curled up in his Impossible Minecraft base's attic for a few days after Wild Life ended, and mostly ignores Grian in one-on-one interactions (specifically after wild life). If Grian hadn't done this, I imagine Jimmy would have actually been taken into the ranks of the Watchers.

6) he keeps mementos of every world hes been in!! some he has more from than others, he has a lot of stuff from double life and secret life for example but only his sheriff star from esmp2 (he used to have a doll but had a fit of midnight rage and burned it). he also writes down the main gist of what happened in each world in a note book (HE ONLY WRITES POSITIVE THINGS because he knows the negative things will haunt him).

7- it takes a long time for his tear response to kick on. for example, if you accidentaly get hurt, you may laugh at first and then produce tears a minute later. it takes him maybe 5 minutes to get to that point? hes good at laughing it off and then quickly vanishing. also one would think he has a high pain tolerance due to everything hes been through but sadly not...

8: I often imagine him to have blue-brown heterochromia! And maybe light sensitivity too...

9- self esteem issues. i might have mentioned it above. i dont think i need to explain this one lmao

10) last but not least! he loves star gazing, or moon gazing if the stars arent out. he'll stay up for hours staring at the night sky. actually i headcanon that this is what lead to his villain arc in esmp2.... the view he was so used to was suddenly disrupted and he could only see some of the stars. is it obvious hes also very neurodivergent in my eyes? also he has a very strong connection to the stars in esmp2 in my brain (look up the redshift effect and then compare his normal and villan sheriff skins. mind blowing)

So What The Hell Is The Failiverse? (ft. My Headcanons)

Part 1?

ok so it’s pretty dang clear by this point that the Failboat Cinematic Multiverse theory is 100% canon, but not many people really know how it all lines up or other stuff, and that’s partially due to bad and overly complicated writing, and partially due to a lot of Failboat lore being more unknown compared to the non-lore stuff he does (not that I’m complaining)

This is kinda just my strange attempt at breaking a lot of it down, putting some theories and speculation (and headcanons) down, and just yapping ig lmaoo

Starting off, what universes do we know are in the Failboat lore? Well I made this weird diagram visual example thing for it. Probably not how it looks in the actual lore but whatever this is the best way I can describe it

Basically the main three ones are Minecraft, Miitopia, and Animal Crossing with other universes that while not serving a direct connection (or connection at all) are still prominent enough to add to this list:

NOTE: there are way more worlds than what is shown, I’m just not gonna draw billions of circles lol (also the sizes don’t matter)

Legacy/TNT Town: Failboat’s life before going to Miitopia/Denny’s takes place here! It’s kinda iffy on how much of the Exploding TNT Shenanigans are canon to the Failiverse, but key events like Purple Shep’s hatching are for sure! Basically any Minecraft thing Dan does that’s connected to the Failboat Lore’s story are here, while stuff like NoName SMP are another universe or multiverse

Mii Universe: AKA THE BEST SERIES/PART OF THE FAILBOAT LORE TRUST ME!!! Anyway yeah any lore-related thing that has the Miis as a central focus goes here!! In the Failboat lore, this is where Failtopia S1 and 2 take place, along with the upcoming Failtopia: Living the Dream! It’s also canon that Miitopia is where ALL Mii Making lore (like the Demon Hunters) takes place!

Animal Crossing: The Eyea, Retail, and Rapper Arc all take place here! The Eyea Arc being what C!Fail was doing during the timeskip in between Failtopia 1 and 2, while the rest of the arcs take place in between Failtopia 2 and whatever’s coming up next for the story! (most likely Tomodachi)

Splatoon: this is a tough one since there’s no unique Splatoon Failboat lore, but it’s listed on the wiki and is the origin of Carina, Cosi, and Liv. I don’t really think Splatoon counts enough to have its own separate universe since even the wiki says it’s just the same canon as the normal games, but stuff like FailGex proves the existence of the cephalopods having counterparts in other worlds, so who knows at this point :0

Kinda Persona Universe: because of Joker’s canonical backstory in Failtopia, he needs to come from a Persona world somewhere in the Failiverse. Even though Daniel never did a lets play on Persona on his channel, there at least needs to be a world similar to it in this multiverse cluster for Joker’s arrival in Miitopia to make sense

Wherever The Hell That One Izuku Midoriya Counterpart In Failtopia S1 Came From: not Deko, the Ice Queen. It’s canon that he’s a counterpart of Deko who learned to accept life without changing his name or going through any experiences (also Dan says he might be older cuz of the whole “this is gonna be good for the grandkids” thing but that doesn’t really match up with the whole time flowing thing unless it’s time travel which,, I don’t really wanna get into today lol

That D&D Oneshot With Mussel: ok so apparently a long while back Daniel did a D&D stream where he played as Shrimp’s father. I… haven’t watched this admittedly and Twitch long since deleted it by now, but I’m assuming it wasn’t in Miitopia and Mussel was thrown into another universe for this oneshot. If ANYONE has this stream archived please please please send it my way!! But yeah this is the universe where that OneShot happened if it wasn’t in Miitopia since this connects to the Failiverse through Mussel’s existence

Pokémon: another one I’m unsure of cuz. are the Nuzlockes canon??? just cuz Hank brought them up doesn’t mean they are imo, I’ll get to that later though.. for now I’ll just say they are, but the Failure doing those probably aren’t OUR C!Fail. This might also be where the Pokémon Mario Golf AU that Dan joked about that one time takes place

DougDoug Universe: Dunno anything about the DougDoug universe but apparently Dan’s involved soooo :P

Kirby: in that same state as the Splatoon universe. The OCs exist (Beamy, Grandma, Kevin, etc), but no actual story exists in this world that’s significantly changed. Maybe modjams count but who really knows. I don’t think they do but who knows :0

NoName SMP: depending on how people interpret that version of Failboat ended up in this world, it’s either a separate universe or a separate multiverse! Most I’ve seen though don’t use the power of the scythe though, so yea

Any fangame/AU that doesn’t use the power of the scythe is its own universe in the Failboat Multiverse (like Gnome’s Library AU, FailGex), etc.

To some, Rapper and Pixel Failboat should technically be listed as multiverses here, but I won’t. I really like Fun’s analysis on Rapper!Failboat, it explains him better than I can, and I imagine Pixel!Failboat was made by C!Fail while experimenting with magic or something along those lines idk (I’ll explore that idea some other time)

Land of Forgotten Memories: so I’m just gonna assume that the “remembered land” is. like. the rest of the multiverse. Forgotten Memories is technically it’s own universe but just is generally weird and has its own rules

Another thing to note is that every universe counterparts for each character. Like in one universe Erica’s a powerful cleric/warrior, and in another she’s working at a Cafe. Most of these universes above have counterparts for C!Fail, which is why there’s one in the DougDoug universe for example even though it has no relevancy to the main Failboat universes.

As for why Hank and eventually others aware of the 4th wall mention other worlds that our C!Fail would’ve technically never been to? I imagine they’re all trying to talk to Dan The Actual Guy through C!Fail, since C!Fail is the Main Guy™️ and the closest they can get to really having Dan hear what they have to what they say. I don’t think C!Fail’s a god, and I don’t think he’s a puppet for Dan. He just happens to be the character that Dan follows the most, so those aware of that will use it to their advantage

Again, just because a universe is listed doesn’t mean it has major significance! I think the difference between a story being in another Universe compared to a Multiverse is if the Legacy + Power of the Scythe exists, and if C!Fail or any of his relatives have it. I imagine the power of the scythe exists only in the Legacy universe(s), and is a very “one of a kind” thing, like no other Universe in that specific Multiverse has it apart from the one that our C!Fail is from yknow? Multiversal travel is usually somewhat rare, but with an infinite universe it can seem more common. If another character travels the multiverse, with some exceptions, it isn’t through the power of the scythe

ANYWAY now for the general timeline!! A lot of the stories begins in Minecraft but then C!Fail starts using the Power of the Scythe to travel to two other parts of the universe! I tried to make it all make sense lol

I know the wiki for the Failiverse says that it’s not confirmed for sure that Miitopia’s connected to ACNH or Minecraft but like. c’mon now it’s so obvious that Everything’s Connected, Miitopia’s mentioned/shown quite a bit during ACNH lol

Little details I love about dsmp charlie (that were obvious already but I love pointing them out for the 14757366 time I just need people to understand the potential of this dude.)

- he hates how humans eat. He just finds it disgusting HHSJAJS

He said it specifically in foolish stream that he hated how humans eat, chew and then swallow and let it sink down "a tube" (our throat) and he was really disgusted and weirded out by it.

Then if I remember right he also said that for him, that's not the case. He just puts things inside his slime and let's it absorb (which is less disgusting in his opinion.) < forgot if it was true or not for this small little part.

- he has no idea about sex or reproduction in general, heavily implying slimes reproduce asexually (asexual king 🙏‼️)

And that the others think of him as innocent despite him proving that he is not, he's just old as hell and NOT a human

Foolish tried to explain it as a joke to mess with him, with the "when two people love each other very much.." but everyone, especially Fundy and quackity, made foolish shut up because charlie shouldn't know yet (implying they think of him as innocent ^)

In my opinion charlie would either be disgusted by the actual process of reproduction or sex in general but if you explained it to him as "two people made a baby :D" he would think humans split like slimes HSHSOOAOSLAPSJ

- charlie probably thinks sleeping is the best thing ever.

Like, we know he likes sitting it place for a long time, and what's better than laying down for around 8h thinking? (As he can't sleep or close his eyes)

- he's so bitter and cold when angry dude, it's beautiful.

first of all, we saw how kind of everyone in the smp when angry always scream, cuss, or throw hands, but charlie is probably the only one who doesn't.

He's silent, he's calm, and he's collected. But the best part is how easy he kills.

Not because he takes such a short time, it's how easy he does it. We were basically shown from the start that charlie as a nihilistic, he did not care about death. Not because he didn't understood what it was or knew what it was, but because he didn't care about it.

he knows PERFECTLY that humans can and WILL die, and he doesn't care about it. He often always talked about how things don't matter because everyone will die at the end, and he finds it difficult to focus on such little things (like soccer or any sport) when it'll literally be over one day (because he finds them useless to watch and observe, so he just doesn't.) so he enjoys looking at the actual important things (apparently humans are one of them, but he probably watches everything as it dies and reborns again, so.)

He cares so little about death, that he can kill someone without remorse. Literally, when he understood that purpled ALSO manipulated him, he wasted no time in throwing purple off and kill him. And he just, went on with his day.

And not like you can make him feel bad by talking about how you don't wanna die or have so much to do, he. Will. Not. Care.

He will deadass answer "everyone will die in the end, I'm just speeding up the process"

His nihilistic mindset was something that I was always interested in.

- according to lore, as much fun it is when people draw charlie as a green dude walking around instead of a human looking guy, that is not the case.

in lore we've been told that slimes are able to shapeshift into anything and are great at it, they can perfectly copy something and it will difficult understand the difference, but that's because they use blocks, they don't talk, they don't do anything, of course it's hard. But this also means they can copy and recreate texture and looks perfectly.

And this means? This means that charlie was probably a very realistic human guy walking around. He canonically has the uncanny valley feeling. The only thing that throws him off is his odd behavior, (and poor lying skills.) And the fact that he has two slimes on his head and shoulder. (What charlie describes as "human bits")

We know this because of the slime lore we've been told and the skin. Charlie changes skin depending on what happened to the character (when he was dormant and in the finale he was more slime looking.) And considering that for most of his lore he was "human looking", the uncanny valley fits, I'm NOT CRAZY I SWEAR (love how people draw him as a green dude walking though, very silly.)

- this might be a stupid fact, but he literally steals people's bones. Like my man saw Jschlatt and went "holy shit, bones, sick" and took them.

- the fact that his slime hurts when hungry, or he was simply stating that he was hungry by trying to mimic how humans often say that their stomach hurts when hungry (or when it makes noises lol)

- he CAN split, he just can't leave it, so this makes me think that he can split and reform as he likes.

- he's possibly older than foolish. We know he's old, but according to quackity he's centuries old and he knows foolish "from a long time ago" (idk how old foolish is though.)

- I'm pretty sure it's not stupidity, but when he ate the pupper fish, he saw how it gave him nausea and all, but decided to eat it anyway, and I think it's because for him poison is not deadly but for humans it is.

He's not stupid come on, just silly.

Chapter 4: It’s Not All That Bad

(Chunsik gets a lot of gifts! It almost makes him forget that Acau left him behind :D)

Acau was right there last he checked.

Why wasn’t he and Quackity there anymore?

Chunsik was distraught over the thought of being left behind by the same person that was supposed to be his caretaker.

Then again, he’s been through worst. He still gets nightmares about what happened with the lava parkour test all those months ago.

And as much as he wants to worry about Acau’s whereabouts, Chunsik noticed the other egg with sunglasses slowly approaching him. So he quickly placed down a sign to greet her, “Hello! I like your sunglasses!”

The other egg —whom he would come to know as Sunny— immediately placed down a sign to reply to his greeting, “thank you :) I like ur hat.”

After glancing at Sunny’s sign, Chunsik immediately hears Phil calling out for him, holding a bar of chocolate in his hand,

“Hey Chun! Chun! Which chocolate do you want?” Phil then showed the Korean egg three different kinds of chocolate bars, giving him the chance to pick which one he would like to have.

Chunsik was bouncing out of joy over his question. He’s never really tried any sweets before, so he was definitely excited to try some for the first time. On top of all of that, Phil gave him a little nickname despite only knowing him for a couple of minutes by that point.

“OOOO SWEETS!!!” Chunsik quickly realized how that sounded impolite and quickly placed down two more signs, “I mean… uh.” “One chocolate please :)”

To his surprise, Phil then proceeded to give him each and every chocolate bar he had within in his inventory. Chunsik didn’t ever think he really deserved any of the chocolate bars in the first place, shaking his head as Phil gave them all to him.

On top of all of that, another person that was there also gifted him a candy cane.

The other person was bald, had glasses on his face, wore a brown t-shirt and jeans, alongside green knee-pads & bandana, and also had one arm that looked like it was pulled straight from a robot. Chunsik could recognize his voice since is sounded somewhat deep compared to everyone else. That and he also complimented his hat when a bunch of people were crowding around him earlier. His name was Fit.

Chunsik already had a bunch of things gifted to him, chocolate bars of varying flavours, a candy cane, a flower, and by the looks of it, he was also given some golden apples!

He placed down another sign, overwhelmed over all the items he was just given “I’m being spoiled for Lunar New Year.”

Phil laughed as he saw what Chunsik wrote on his sign, “You get all the things. All the things for today, yes. And then we will totally, totally hold back on gifts after that… we’re not, we’re not gonna hold back on gifts, we’re gonna give you more things.” Immediately after saying that, Phil gave him yet another chocolate bar

He was really grateful for this, also noticing another somewhat far away sign from Empanada, “Gave you some golden apples!!”

Chunsik was really grateful over everything everyone has gifted him (even though most of it was from Phil) and placed down another sign to express his gratitude, “Thank you for the flower and apple!”

Empanada was bouncing as she read his sign, almost as if she’s saying that you’re welcome, and Lullah placed down two more signs for him to read, “You are so smol. Please be safe :D” “If you need anything let us know!”

Chunsik didn’t know who she was at the time, so he politely asked her, “Thank you! What’s your name?”

(HE SAID THE THING LET’S GO)

Lullah quickly replied to him with another sign, “Tallulah :D but you can call me Lullah if easier.”

“Hello Lullah! Thank you for the gifts!” Chunsik really meant that. He’s been given a multitude of things only after being introduced to her and a bunch of other people less than ten minutes ago.

He was grateful for everything and everyone there, and also Chayanne offer to stay with the rest of them for now, but it still didn’t change the fact that Acau wasn’t there to see all of this, placing down another sign to vent it, “I think my caretaker left me.”

Immediately after placing down that sign, more people started to crowd around him, all in an affectionate manner. Someone even gifted him a couple of TNT blocks to his excitement as he placed another sign to express that, “Ooo Explosions.”

It was all starting to get a little too overwhelming; Tina greeted him fully in Korean, and he greeted her back, someone else gifted him more than a dozen cupcakes, Richarlyson enthusiastically greeted him again & offered to bring him to some place, a bunch of kind-hearted stuff.

He eventually ended up going to Phil to thank him again, placing down a sign to do so, “Thank you Mr. Philza for the gifts :)”

Phil smiled as he read the sign, “Yeah! No problem! No problem at all. What would y- what would you like to do?”

Chunsik quickly answered him, “See my caretaker who left me :(“

As Phil offered to take him to Acau, Quackity suddenly arrived to the building they were all in, saying that he was gonna get some money.

Right when he finished saying that, Phil replied, “Wait- okay, well- well bring the egg also. There’s just- the egg has been sat here.”

Quackity immediately noticed Chunsik walking towards where he was standing, “Egg, come with me, come with-“

Before Chunsik could listen to whatever Quackity was saying, he was immediately teleported to a location he’d never been to before.

The place looked like some kind of unfinished village, all of the buildings were made from wood, dirt, and cobblestone by the looks of it. And the whole thing was encircled by a forest, with a couple of flowers planted around the buildings.

More importantly, it looked like no one else was there-

“Oh, Chunsik!” Acau immediately called out for him the moment he sees him

In turn, Chunsik immediately runs to his caretaker the minute he hears and sees him.

He’s here! He still remembers the name he gifted him! He didn’t really leave him behind after all!

HI CROW!!! 👋👋 Okay okay I actually had to stop and think for a while because my mind went blank as soon as I read the ask but here's some more for the price of one ^_^

George and Dream's relationship started on the early days of the smp and they maintained it very secretive, only Sapnap and Bad were the ones that were told about that relationship, cdnf thought they were good at keeping their feelings for each other hidden from everyone else but at some point everyone just kinda knew they had something going on, which ended up in george being used for leverage against dream (him being attacked for being the king since they knew it would get to dream) and also sapnap's comment of george "he never talks about you" to dream when he broke out of prison

c!dnfies kissed a lot, as a greeting, as a goodbye, as a goodnight, etc. like said before they would do it secretly and behind everyone's backs, and with time they started drifting apart and they kissed less frequently. george sometimes wakes up and touches his lips missing dream before drifting off to sleep again, and dream feels scared of thinking about them kissing again because he's worried about what george could think about his busted and scarred lips, and appearance in general

When george was king, he wouldn't spend every day on the castle because he would quickly get bored but on the days he did and dream would be there with him, they would go to the king's quarters (?) and take naps on the soft bed and cuddle and just talk about random stuff, it was one of the few times that dream would take off his armor and be vulnerable ever since conflict started becoming common on the server

George on his kinoko house has multiple photos of him and dream from the early days framed but they're all either put down to cover the photo or the ever growing dust in his house covers the glass until the photo is barely visible (also i'm noticing i have a lot more c!george headcanons than anything LMAO)

Also random thing but i just like to think they're both FREAKS about each other and stuff..,,,,, i probably have more hcs but i genuinely can't remember more than aren't that canon divergent/au like¿¿

a) I'm gonna preface my points with this. Dream has been overhated for a long time. The grooming jokes are out of line, especially since he has had allegations levied against him, and I think a lot of the hate towards him is due to the very vocal bad apples in his fandom in the early 2020s. (On that note, I do appreciate how he called out the bad actors in the discussion stream).

b) That said, I do think that his response to this controversy was HORRIBLY handled. I don't want to focus on points that have been talked to death again and again, but one thing I haven't seen talked about is how in his initial response stream and his response video, he chose to have himself portrayed as his minecraft character, which I don't get. He's being put on blast right now (primarily) for using incredibly charged language in an insulting way, and he decides the best way to show his point of view is to dress up as "Detective Dream" on stream and to add cinematic shots in his response video. I cannot think of a reason why he chose to do that instead of just keeping the screen black with some text, like he did in other parts of the video.

c) One thing that I can give to Tommy's response video over Dream's (Which to clarify, I've only skimmed Tommy's), is that while I've heard that it's mostly opinion based, it didn't have music. I personally think that adding a backing track to a response video is, while nowhere close to Colleen Ballinger levels of bad ideas, still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you're simultaneously defending yourself and accusing others of serious allegations, I think it would be prudent to treat it as seriously as possible, and I think putting muzak behind accusations of child labor is antithetical to that effort.

d) I think that one thing that a lot of people are forgetting about is that the tweet that sparked all of this wasn't directed towards Tommy, instead being directed at his FANS, which, in my eyes, invalidates the defense that it was him breaking after years and years of concentrated harassment from Tommy, as again, it was aimed at Tommy's fans. Again, in my eyes, if it was truly the result of Tommy harassing him and he couldn't take it anymore, the tweet would be aimed at Tommy specifically. I can't connect the logic of "Tommy made fun of Dream, so it's fair to go after his fans" in my head.

e) Least consequential point, but I'm thirsty for context. A lot of people have been saying that Tommy has been clickbaiting Dream, and that argument doesn't make sense to me. I can't speak for the SUIT podcast, but on Tommy's main channel, Dream has been either in the title or thumbnail five times by my count since January 15, 2023, which doesn't seem like that much in comparison to his upload frequency. Those videos being "Dream", "Was The Dream SMP Bad?", "We Recorded Our Dreams...", "If YouTubers Were Honest...", and "Goodbye, Dream SMP.". Of those videos, "Dream" is in response to the current controversy, "Was the Dream SMP Bad?" discusses the SMP in general (which Dream explicitly states in his response video, "The Dream SMP was made what it was by everyone" (4:00)), though it does have Dream in the thumbnail, "We Recorded Our Dreams..." is in reference to what happens during sleep, though still added due to the word choice, "If YouTubers Were Honest...", which has Dream in the thumbnail, and "Goodbye, Dream SMP.", which is again about the DSMP in general, though this occurrence doesn't have Dream in the thumbnail. To restate a point that might have been lost in the wall of text (btw sorry about all the text), that isn't a lot compared to the amount of videos uploaded during that time. However, IIRC, Dream did mention during the discussion stream that the older videos with him imply that the two of them are still friends, though with the dates the videos were posted clearly available, as well as how widespread this got in the mcyt space, I don't think that's a good point, though I can see the logic that idea spawned from.

b. we agree it was handled irresponsibly. as for the minecraft character, dream does not stream with his face ever. it is fine to disagree with that choice, but that's his choice to make.

c. in our opinion, if music choice matters more than the subject matter, the person is already far beyond asking them to treat dream in a rational manner.

d. yes, it was directed toward his fans. the fans (who were antis as well) that encouraged the pedo jokes. the fans (who were antis as well) who sent death threats and rape threats to dream fans. the fans (who were antis as well) who doxxed Dream's address.

it was a terrible response to them, but since tommy had dream blocked and would not be able to hear dream if he said "please stop encouraging harassment toward my community," we, the mods, don't know how he could have discussed that better with tommy (we already have seen how people treat him if he tries to ask them to stop harassing him).

for an outside example, after the iskall situation, many hermits removed iskall from previous thumbnails and titles so his name wouldn't be featured on their channels.

7 (and since it’s not many I’m going to color code them) - Wow that’s actually crazy, can’t believe it’s only been a little over a year since I first posted.

Good Cop ‘Bad’ Cop

This is the shortest non-one shot by like half, so it’s interesting that it ranks higher. I do make some kinda cool graphics for it so I’m glad people like it. Not gonna lie though, a combination of positive feedback and projecting has made it go much farther than the one shot I had originally planned. And since I usually do a lot of planning for stuff it’s no wonder that I have non idea what I’m doing lol. :)

Back in the day, when I first posted this as my blooper reel I did not expect people to like it this much, but I’m glad I’m not alone in my affinity for torture box madness. >:D I still can’t decide which is more unhinged the hopscotch or the crucifixion… like my mental health this year was suffering for real… lol

If The Crown Fits, Wear It

I mean c!Techno should always rank top 5 so it makes sense. ;) As someone who doesn’t love to read one oneshots because I get too attached and sad when it ends, I can’t say I’m overly surprised at its ranking. But also still surprised. Regardless,it was really healing for me and I’m glad it seems to have been for others too.

(Ok though for real my first fic Hell in a Box being the lowest makes me kinda sad not gonna lie. Like it’s true that I think I’ve certainly gotten better at writing, which is actually why I edited it this summer, but it is the one that started it all and while it’s not my favorite work at his point it does have some really cool scenes and holds a special place in my heart.……)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Always. Every one. They took the time to make me smile so the least I can do is share the love or fun. Especially when I spend a maddening amount of time on specific details it makes me so happy when someone noticed and enjoyed. <3 :)

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Yes. Oh wait lol I mean technically it would be Misery since there is both no ending and it’s more so a complication so technically it probably won’t get one. But if we are talking a finished work with an actual ending then probably Dreamcatcher I guess, because it’s kinda a sad realization, though technically it would have been Crow’s Nest if not for the co-author spoiling my plans lol >;)

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I mean easily Crow’s Nest… I mean the ‘epilogue’ is like 13,000 words so that’s how you know it’s good. ;D

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

No not really. And honeslty my self esteem is low enough I’d probably quick if did. :) I did receive a hurtful but also wild accusation (from what I discovered to be a bot) that Good Cop ‘Bad’ Cop was written by AI, which is funny because honestly that fic is really uniquely formatted with literal nutrition facts I designed at the end, like heh? An AI doesn’t come up with this.

9. Do you write smut?

Nope. And I do not read it either. In fact, I originally thought that all fanfiction was smut but after reading my first one that was recommended by a friend I was pleased to discover there is plenty of fanfiction that isn’t.

10. Do you write crossovers?

Haven’t yet? But I wouldn’t be the most opposed to it…

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, someone is translating Crow’s Nest into Russian, which is pretty cool.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic?

Yes with @midnight-fangirl01 and it was pretty fun. Though the short timeline and time difference made it difficult as well as my canon compliance extremism. But overall, I think we made a really good pair and I certainly got some new writing skills. It is by far the longest fic I have worked on so I’m pretty proud of it and certainly couldn’t have pulled something like it off without her.

14. What‘s your all-time favorite ship?

Umm I don’t really do ships, but Drunz is one that is cute, and I always try and keep my fics kinda open and up for interpretation for anyone who does ship them. I think in general my opinion on their relationship doesn’t change much on whether they are platonic or not.

15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I intend to finish everything I post whether it’s how I planned or less so, because it makes me sad when works are unfinished, and I like closure, however sad or open-ended it is. At the moment I’m struggling with Good Cop ‘Bad’ Cop because my writing is based on projection and spurs of creativity so I guess I’ve struggled to project onto c!Bad recently. I will say I actually wrote most of the end the other day, so worse case scenario I just post it, but I do have ideas for chapters before then. It’s just whether or not I get inspired to.

16. What’s your writing strengths?

I’d say despite generally disliking writing it, character/actual person sounding dialogue. Also my detailed descriptions that help you visualize the scene.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

Probably pacing, like I don’t seem to cover a lot of ground in my fics. And for the Dreamcatcher sequel I’ve been struggling a lot with exposition.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

If you mean because the character speaks it then yes that’s fine I love character accuracy but there should be translations. Otherwise it ruins my immersion and it’s rude to make me switch screens on my phone and get blinded by the light just so I can translate. Like lots of people don’t translate for Ranboo and it’s really annoying.

20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

How dare you ask be to choose between my babies! XD lol… I mean… I don’t know Misery is the most fun to write because I get to just be unhinged and I can stop or start wherever I want. Crow’s Nest is the one I’m probably the most proud of since it look a lot of lost sleep, research of characters I hadn’t done yet and we basically wrote it in a month and that just blows my mind. But I don’t know my favorite? Maybe Dreamcatcher I guess…

Aside from two of my favourite ever animatics being to this (Homestuck and Hermitcraft 8) it’s such a fandom song (genuinely up there with soldier poet king in the “oh my god it’s just like my d&d party” vibe). So many stories are about averting an apocalypse or some other looming threat “I’m waking up at the start of the end of the world” and the whole song is about reflecting back on your life and that of the world around you. It’s perfect for a climatic buildup to the end of a campaign or series finale, or a summary of an entire work. “Say your goodbyes if you’ve got someone you can say goodbye to” is perfect for drawing ships or friends or siblings to, with maybe one solitary person at the end. The percussion and guitar also make it very suited to animatics - there’s perfect parts in the music to switch between frames or scenes. It’s been around since 2007 so it’s nostalgic and from the peak of amvs and animatics. Please this song fucks so hard look at all the lyrics listen to it on loop it’s so quintessential to me

the DRAMA. the STORY. the EMOTIONS. this is a song for an animatic that covers character growth and major plot points, and it does it so well! if i am invested in the fandom and watch a how far we've come animatic i already know it will change me as a person

It's the OG. I don't even know if homestuck started its popularity in the animatic scene but it was huge and it remains huge. From TAZ to (apparently, from a quick youtube search) hermitcraft, this song will tear at people's heartstrings as they think about blorbos the band has can't even imagine.

this song makes me so emotional ok? i know lots of fandoms use it but the ones that stuck with me are warrior cats, hermitcraft and of course homestuck. sorry for the cringe but im glad to be free. anyways this is THE song for anything that has either ended or had a large amount of time pass and also its just a really fucking good song on its own.

In regards to the seven sentence tag game:

Let's see if I can manage this without going off into the entire plot of Gears of War and a comprehensive guide to the history, science, culture, society, and economic structure of the world of Sera. Or worse, start ranting about the themes of the story. 😅

So within the world of Gears there's a superweapon called the Hammer of Dawn. It's made up of a network of satellites that can rain down firey hell in concentrated bursts. It's a constant presence within the games, books, and comics and helps showcase the gray areas of humanity in a horrific but necessary way. Basically, big scary laser weapon from space. Not to be used lightly.

One of the bigger plot devices in Gears of War 5 is that they're trying to get the HoD back online. Most of the satellites have been lost, destroyed, or knocked offline and unreachable after the near apocalypse the world of Sera endured. The first mission in the game is to find and launch a working satellite. Unfortunately, one satellite is difficult to aim and doesn't cover a large surface area of the planet. One of the next missions you play is an evacuation of a COG settlement. Obviously things go wrong, things are looking bad and my poor sweet darling JD (James) fueled by guilt, pride, and fear decides to use himself as a targeting beacon for the HoD. It works until the satellite goes haywire and Baird no longer has control over it. And then everything goes to ratshit. JD gets hit with a blast that basically cooks him. He ends up severely wounded and in a coma for a while.

Now that you've got some knowledge to go off of this piece is a little bit of introspection on the relationship between JD and his father, Marcus. I'm kind of going for a "these are the times he remembers holding his son" thing. The first being only a few hours after JD is born. The next time being on JD's sixth birthday, only a short time before his mother's death, an event that drives a huge wedge between Marcus and JD. And the last being this moment when he has to drag his dying child to CASEVAC. I'm wanting to explore Marcus's guilt in not being there for his son and how he feels powerless as his little boy lies dying at his feet. One of Marcus's biggest issues throughout the entire series is his messiah complex. He believes it's his job to shoulder pain and suffering for everyone else. For him to be unable to do that for his own son has to feel like a major failure on his part. We don't really get a whole lot of this from Marcus's point of view within the game or the accompanying book. That's all mostly explored from Kait's perspective which is important and great, but poisonous relationships between parent and child are very important to me and I like to explore them in all their multifaceted detail.

So what did JD do? He lied. He put people that depended on him in danger. And he knowingly killed innocents. Eventually, his hubris caught up with him. And now his father has to face his own as they race for the chance to save JD's dwindling life.
