[ARTICLE] BC, DIMENSIONS, AND GOLD STAR ANNOUNCED AS SPONSORS OF SEOUL SPRING FESTIVAL
The Seoul Spring Festival was announced earlier in the year by the local government as a city-wide event taking place from March 30th to April 5th. The city of Seoul will be hosting a number of events over the course of the week, as will private businesses.
Recently, it was announced that entertainment companies BC Entertainment, Dimensions Entertainment, and Gold Star Media will all be sponsoring the festival in part and the idols on each company’s roster will be performing at one of two concerts hosted during the run of the festival. Tickets to the live concert events will cost ₩30000 each and fans unable to attend the live event can access an official live stream of both concerts for ₩15000.
ADMIN NOTES:
The time has come for our next drop event! In something of a spiritual successor to our 2018 Busan Summer Festival event, this is a week-long event in-’verse with several different varied opportunities for interactions.
Everyone under the three companies will be required to participate in their respective concert part of the festival barring extenuating circumstances such as major injury or illness. It must be cleared with the admin if you want your muse to have a plot that will keep them from participating in that portion of this event. Public activities for the event as well as the Pink Party are entirely optional both in and out of character, while the other private and semi-private activities (the cocktail party, the art exhibition, and the charity gala) will be considered optional out of character, but you’re welcome to say your muse was forced to attend by management in-character for the sake of interactions.
Activities marked “semi-private” will be open to only a select guest list, not the public, but some press may be present. Activities marked “private” will be open to a very select guest list and no press will be present.
EVENT DETAILS:
The Seoul Spring Festival takes place in-universe from March 30th to April 5th.
A number of events will take place in Seoul over the span of the week, from fun public events designed to heighten everyone’s spirits to exclusive, private events only the country’s most in-demand citizens such as celebrities and the wealthy have access to. As sponsors of the event, all three companies have allowed their idols some leeway in their schedules to participate in the festival even in their down time.
Muses will have a variety of required schedules throughout the week, but in their downtime, they’re also allowed to spend some time at the festival on their own as long as they follow the normal rules of staying on their best behavior in public. Any music shows taking place on the days of the festival can be assumed to either not interfere with what can be done that day or will be pre-recorded at a more convenient in the morning.
Outside of scheduled events, during the week of the festival, there will be sales at local shops and restaurants and smaller, special spring-themed events at cafes and parks.
The beginning and end of the festival will each be marked with a concert, for which each performer will be dressed in colors and cuts to suit the spring season. The concert set lists and styling can be found HERE.
CHOICE ACTIVITIES:
There are open events on the schedule listed below open to individual muses. This Google Form has been set up for muns to submit for the activity of their choice. At the time of posting, this will be open to one muse per mun only. All spots will be first come-first served from the time the event post goes up since choice activities will not have major career effects.
Keep in mind that canonically, companies would have final say in where their idols are scheduled, so you can request activities that your muse wouldn’t enjoy doing! These are completely optional, but can give you situations to write solos or threads about.
OVERALL:
In game, this event takes place Monday, March 30, to Sunday, April 5, but threads and other posts for this event may be started from Monday, March 23, at the time this post goes up, to Sunday, April 19, at 11:59PM EDT. Threads may be continued past the end date if needed, but must be started before then. Non-event related interactions may of course be conducted during this time as well.

[6th Anni] The 6-Year Road with NU’EST: History for Beginners

And in a blink of an eye, NU’EST has reached their 6th year since their debut in 2012. From being one of the youngest boyband of their era to their unexpected rise from a survival show, let’s take revisit the dusty road of their humble beginnings to paving a flower path with L.O.V.Es today. For both old and new L.O.V.Es, may this piece be a quick flashback and introduction to the five lovely boys of NU’EST.
Pre-debut: before the formation
All five members of NU’EST, Kwak Aron, Kim Jonghyun (JR), Kang Dongho (Baekho), Hwang Minhyun and Choi Mingi (Ren), were first introduced to the world alongside Jang Doyoon (currently an actor) Choi Seungcheol (S.Coups of SEVENTEEN) as After School Boys, later renamed as Pledis Boys. These seven boys made an appearance as part of the 2011 Happy Pledis album, and was also featured on different television shows, on After School Boys magazine and music videos of their label seniors. 
Ren was spotted auditioning for SBS Miracle Audition, a talent survival to find the next new actor, alongside Xiyeon of Pristin and Doyoon. All three made it to the 2nd round of the program. However, as both Ren and Xiyeon did not turn up for unexplained reasons, their journey on the show ended; likewise, Ren’s 1st audition was also never aired. Other TV appearances included JR and Baekho being introduced by Kahi on KBS’ program ‘Hello Counselor’. 
The boys are also familiar faces to Pledis family fans. JR, the first male trainee of Pledis, made a featuring appearance in Orange Caramel’s ‘Bangkok City’, Minhyun in ‘Shanghai Romance’ and Baekho in After School’s ‘Play Ur Love’. JR too, recorded a special featuring for UEE’s solo track, ‘Sok Sok Sok’. As trainees, the boys also appeared as backup dancers for After School Blue’s ‘Wonder Boy’. 
They then made an official appearance on Happy Pledis and recorded for company special track ‘Love Letter’, in 2011. Later that year, the Pledis Boys were also on stage as dancers to After School’s SBS Gayo Daejun stage.

2012: the debut and gearing for a world stage
With the pre-debut hype being carried over to 2012, Pledis officially announced the formation of NU’EST, to consist of five members promoting under the names JR, Aron, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren; JR, standing for Junior Royal, was picked by the leader himself. Meanwhile, Baekho’s name was given by UEE to his similar image with the character of the same (Korean-translated) name in manga series, Slam Dunk. Ren, which has the meaning of a lotus flower, was given by the CEO Han Sungsoo himself. Aron’s original name was spelled with double ‘a’s, but due to the difficulty in pronouncing it in Korean tongue, an ‘a’ was dropped to form Aron (아론).
Keeping with the theme of After School Boys, each member also had an equivalent role as the After School counterpart. JR is matched up with Kahi, as both are charismatic dancers, rappers and leaders. Aron is matched up with Bekah, both being foreign members with fluent English. Baekho is the male Jungah, both as outstanding main vocals in their respective groups. Minhyun is the male Jooyeon, as they both possess great visuals - on this note, Minhyun is also the official Visual of NU'EST. Last but not least, Ren, who has a cute maknae image, is regarded as the male Soyoung.
NU’EST, an acronym for New, Established, Style and Tempo, was slated to show the group’s hopes bring new music (urban electro) to the table. Their logo also consist of a compass, which was viewed as a meaning to guide the fans when they’re lost, as well as pointing to the new ‘east’ - a play on their group name.
On 15 March, 2012, the group made their formal debut with single ‘FACE’ on Mnet M!Countdown. The song peaked at 62 on the Gaon chart. With lyrics speaking out against bullying and school violence, the song became popular with the younger crowd, and gave NU’EST the title as ‘spokesperson of the youth’. In fact, it was from here that the color of hot/neon pink started to get associated with them, as it was the color of the anti-bullying campaign. Pledis never announced it as the official color, but it remained to be the fans’ go-to support color all the way till 2018, where the dual official colors were announced.
Interestingly, the special single FACE was also dubbed as the unofficial, limited edition copy among the fans. With stock running low and virtually sold out, Pledis never did restock the albums till the demand requested in 2017, during and post-Produce 101. Before that, the only way to acquire a copy of FACE was via 2nd-hand trading, and prices averages about USD$100 for an unsigned copy at its peak. The music video will eventually go on to become 1theK’s most watched debut MV at 45 million views, and still retained the title for the boy group’s side.
Following suit, they also released ‘Action’ later that summer, another dubstep-heavy song focused on anti-conformity in the society. This mini album did peak in the Gaon top 100, but the results did not overtake their debut release. Here, they also became ambassadors for Korea's Scout Association.
With the average age of 17.4 internationally (accounting for the year they were born even if none of them passed their birthdays as of their debut), they became one of the youngest boy band to debut in South Korea. This title would also follow them to their Japanese debut in 2014, where they were 19.4 internationally (birthdays passed) - this means they retained their title for at least, a total of 3 years since debut.
Pledis also announced the official fanclub, 'L.O.V.E' ( ㄴㅇㅅㅌ), the first consonant of the Hangul spelling of NU'EST (뉴이스트), a name that fans cherished till this date.
Starting in 2012, NU’EST went for several overseas promotions, including to countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. It was clear that Pledis had set its eyes on the world-wide opportunities with the group, as they would soon embark on their first fanmeet tour in Asia, followed by other concert tours and foreign performances in years to come.

2013: from dubstep to synth ballad, new fans and changes.
In February 2013, NU'EST made a comeback to the music scene with a totally different music style for their title track, ‘Hello’. Moving away from the loud dubsteps, the group released pop-ballad Hello, with a much more subtle synth running in the background. This change in style also brought in a new wave of fans, who took to the boys’ more matured musicality. The song peaked at 20 for Gaon, and would remain as one of their most-loved and selling track for a long while.
On the same day of their release, they held a mini concert ‘Show Time NU’EST Time’, available on 1theK for view. For their 1st anniversary, NU’EST actually celebrated the event in Japan with a full-concert, ‘NU′EST Debut 1st Anniversary Live Show Time’. This event would soon be one of the many anniversaries the boys would celebrate overseas, as Pledis continued its expansion beyond that of Korea.
Their third EP released in the same year, 'Sleep Talking', brought back the loud EDM influences but instead suffered a dip in sales and charting. From this point on, NU'EST's recorded sales would continue to suffer a hit in between the blocks of extended overseas promotions and tours.

Soon after the release and promotions of 'Sleep Talking' and 'Beautiful Ghost', news hit the fans of a new subunit with six members for the Chinese market. Titled NU'EST-M, then Yuehua artiste Jason was added in a Yuehua-Pledis collaboration, and will carry out promotions only in China. This marked the group's first official foray into another country's music market. The announcement brought on mixed reviews, mostly due to the confusion as Pledis' statement was first announced through news portals instead of to the fans. With little information on the newest member, few and lack of updates in China promotions, the news took some time for L.O.V.Es to get accustomed to.
The Chinese promotions did not last as long either. After releasing Chinese versions of their lead singles 'Face' and 'Sleep Talking', doing some photoshoots and appearing on a few television shows like 'Idol Show' and 'Day Day Up', their promotions in China wrapped up. Jason soon left Yuehua in 2014, and the unit has dissolved with no further updates as of current. 
Starting from this year, the members also started delving more and more into other endeavors. Baekho, Ren and Minhyun dabbled in acting, the former two making an appearance in then-labelmate, Uee's drama Jeon Woo-chi while Minhyun became a regular on sitcom Reckless Family 3, playing as the Busan classmate and love-interest of Girl's Day member, Yura. 
Aron was also casted as a DJ for Arirang Radio's Music Access starting 8 April, where he would host for over two years and even bring the show to the most tuned-in slot for international fans on Arirang Radio. Over the years, Aron would share stories and updates on his members, and members Baekho and Minhyun both were on the program as fixed guests at one point. Fun fact: when Aron started his twitter for the radio, he was banned twice for trying to follow all the fans, resulting in his account being caught by Twitter’s spam filter. The account has been abandoned, but it was still a funny and fond memory for fans at that time.

2014: first full-album, music inputs and schedule conflicts
Re:Birth marks NU’EST 1st and only Korean full-album, with a total of 12 tracks inclusive of previous title singles. The 12th track, ‘Hey L.O.V.E’ was an album-only song. Released nearly a year since their last official comeback, Re:Birth is an album that showed the boys’ maturity in sound and imagery, as all members have reached their legal years in 2014. 
The album was revealed through a special NU’EST 14-Day project, where the boys invited fans to go on a 14-Day workout to reach their goal. JR took on lyric-writing (rap making), which was revealed as the track Lend Me Your Shoulders. Ren took on a styling challenge for himself, and Aron worked hard on revising his Korean skills. Baekho took on a gym workout while Minhyun decided on poem-reading. Hints of the album title was hidden in alphabets on released photos throughout the two weeks.
After a stunning teaser video ‘Judgement’, NU’EST dropped their title track ‘Good Bye Bye’, which is a dance pop track with underlying electro influences. The boys also spoke up on their aspirations for the album, hoping to show a new side of them and reaching a wider audience. It was also in the same Comeback Spoiler (ep2) documentary that Baekho revealed his less-than-stellar vocal conditions; later that year, he took time off to undergo and recover from a node-removal surgery.
NU'EST was also one of the first idols to earn the nickname 'fan-pabo', having been seen doing several kind of fanservice such as sticking on stickers on gifts for fans individually. This endearment is nothing new, and the title resurfaced in 2017 as they gained spotlight again. Through the years, NU'EST will continue to show their love and thanks for the fans in different ways, such as free-hug events to writing songs for them.
The choice of the title song was a standing debate within the fandom at that point. As the teaser showed promise of returning to their louder EDM roots, a faction of the fans were disappointed with the ongoing, R&B theme that carried on from 'Hello'; on the other side, others actually enjoyed the mature mid-tempo sounds. While changes in music styles leading to fans departing is a debatable topic, this was an observable trait starting from 2014 in the NU'EST fandom.
This album was also the start of the boys giving more input towards the general direction of their desired music. From selecting songs (they picked Good Bye Bye and Love Without Love, before deciding eventually on the former) to styling, the boys started giving their own feedback for their desired style. While both JR and Aron have participated in their own rap making since debut era, it certainly seemed like they've geared up for a more serious turn in musicality from the last few years, much of it we see fruit in 2016's releases. However, this album further slipped on the charts, and to make matters worst, seeming conflicts in schedules created further misunderstandings and upset within the fandom.
For one, in preparation of their upcoming Japanese debut, NU'EST JR and Ren were sent on a week's of Japan tour towards the end of NU'EST's promotions. While is it ultimately unclear if the tour was an actual conflict with ongoing schedules, Pledis never gave feedback to the boys' overseas schedules. This would eventually amount in a peak of displeasure between Korea and Japanese scheduling and the question of the boys' treatment by their respective companies, Pledis and Sony Ariola, in a petition later in 2015-2016.
To add on, the boys also went on two tours in 2014 under MyMusicTaste’s funding, to Europe and Latin America. At this point, NUESTNEWS twitter was also highly active and posted regular updates on the boys on their overseas schedules. 
As it was prior to the boys opening their own SNS (Ren had his twitter and Aron was starting his Instagram, but all five took to their own Instagrams only by 2015), many updates were streamlined on their group's official platforms. However, this is about to take a 180-turn in 2015. Starting with the boys' eventual debut into the Japanese market, NUESTNEWS slowly ceased their updates, and the segregation between two official twitters (Korean and Japanese counterparts, NUESTNEWS and OfficialNUESTJP) only served to complicate the communication between NU’EST and the fans.
Regardless, NU'EST successfully debuted in Japan with new Japanese single, Shalala Ring. It is also to note that there after, NU'EST have mainly released new Japanese tracks instead of re-rendering their current Korean discography, save for the fan-track 'Hey L.O.V.E'.

2015: Japanese promotions, slow-down of communication
Starting in 2015, NU'EST focused a lot more on overseas foray without a single Korean comeback. The boys did released a special album for their 3rd anniversary, 'I'm Bad', which was also their one and only limited edition album. The album came with an individual postcard, hand-autographed by the members themselves. Baekho who was still recovering, did not participate in the recording of 'I'm Bad'; he did however, join in for the other track 'A Scene Without You'.
Japanese promotions went full-steam ahead, and NU'EST showed a promising rise with better and better sales each round. Na.Na.Na.Namida came in at 7th place for Oricon* Weekly Singles, yet another jump from their debut Japanese single at 16th place. Their 1st studio album, Bridge the World, came in 4th place on Oricon Daily Album Chart and 7th place in the Weekly Album Charts. A total of 18,798 copies were sold in the month of its release, which was a relatively high number compared to their other releases thus far. Limited Edition B of Bridge The World also recorded Minhyun's 1st solo, Koisuru-Hi.
*It is also to note that Oricon chart counts only the CD-only sales within Japan, and any sales out of Japan will not be counted on the charts. 
In 2015 alone, NU'EST visited Japan, Canada, US, Colombia, Brazil, El Salvador, Mexico, Hong Kong, Thailand, and of course, held two fanmeets in Korea. In conjunction with their Japanese promotions, first releasing a single called Na.Na.Na. Namida and 1st Japanese studio album 'Bridge The World', they also did two tours in Japan, and held a series of promotional fanmeets. NU'EST also went on their Re:Vive tour in South America, but with more lackluster response; there were several factors to this, including the lack of promotions on NU'EST official platforms saved for one Facebook shared post; many fans commented that they were not even aware of the tour till it was over, and the boys only manage to promote their events on their own SNS.
This same problem had persisted for several events starting in 2014, where Pledis would only belatedly announce and confirm NU'EST's appearance. This would result in the mounting displeasure from fans as it would be difficult to show their support without proper knowledge of upcoming schedules.
In the same year, Aron stepped down from his position as a DJ for Arirang's Music Access, and later took on a shorter DJ position on SBS PopAsia with the radio program 'Aron's Hangout' before it wrapped up a few months later. The fancafe and SNS became main modes of catching updates from them personally. 
On a happier note, NU'EST filmed their first featured Japanese movie, titled 'Their Distance', by director Rikiya Imaizumi; Ren starred as the main character in a 7-man complex relationship triangle, and both JR and Minhyun took on crucial roles as well. Having it's world premiere in October 2015, Ren walked on the red carpet for the featuring held at the 2th Tokyo International Film Festival. The film was also nominated in the Japanese Cinema Splash category. Thereafter, the film was release worldwide on online platforms the like of Vimeo and Google Movies, before it was shown in Korean cinemas for a successfully completing it's crowdsourcing in 2017.
The group also won Migu Music Award's Best Potential Group in the same year.

2016: changes in musicality, a new-direction
After much anticipation, Pledis finally confirmed NU'EST's comeback into the Korean music industry in 2016, kicking off Pledis' schedule for the year. Released in February 2016, the members lend a heavy hand in terms of their styling and musicality feedback to the company. From song-writing, rap-making and composing, at least one member participated in four out of five songs on the mini album, Q is.
The album might not be a smashing hit, reaching just 6000 physical copy sales, but was well-noted by industry experts for its musicality with the fusion of R&B beats, modern synth and other electro bass influences. This musical influence will soon streamline into their next mini album, as well as peeked it's head in 2017, NU'EST W's releases. 
However, it is also at this time where there was an open-secret to the possibility of it being the boys' last album. It was shared at one point where the fancafe staff informed the on-site fans on the last recording sessions about this possibility. In a small fandom, word travel fast, and while it wasn't the first time 'disbandment' had popped up in a discussion, it was probably a pressing thought that hovered above the fans. Following suit was the discovered by fans that NU'EST had participated in a Chinese survival show which was eventually cancelled. 
By May 2016, a full-fledged petition was launched by K-L.O.V.Es questioning both Pledis and Sony Ariola in regards to their treatment of NU'EST. Among the issues raised (over 10), were the lack of consistent updates, no full-provision of amenities abroad, excessive overseas activities and more. How true the statement stands is up to personal understanding and context, as there were also pointers that it wasn't telling of the full story, such as security were spotted at fanmeet events that barred the fans from crossing the line without the members' permission. However, the more pressing incident was the lack of feedback from either companies, to which some fans have directed as a neglect of fans' opinions and concerns, as neither clarification nor apology was given. At the end, the petition served mainly as a way to seek better treatment from the companies. 
If there's one thing that seemed to happen, it does seem that both NU'EST JP and NUESTNEWS have become more cohesive in sharing updates from either parties, keeping L.O.V.Es in their respective areas informed of NU'EST whereabouts instead of separating support.
Later that year, NU'EST released Canvas, who scored 500 albums in first week sales. This became the boys' lowest album sales till 2017, despite the good reviews from industry experts. The album did enter the Gaon Social charts, but failed to tap into top 100 of Melon; in fact, it charted in at 225 spot on day 1.
That said, Canvas was the most member-intensive album for the group. All members participated in song-writing, with Minhyun, JR and Baekho holding the bulk of song-writing, composition and arrangement throughout the album. Baekho too, took the helm of producing alongside long-time mentor and friend, BUMZU. Like a treat to fans, the album released a total of 4 different music videos, including R.L.T.L released on the official Japanese channel featuring the boys with their Japanese dance crew.
2016 might seem bleak as a throwback. Lowest sales, an influx of anti-sentiments in regards to why they had the opportunity to release albums with lack of fan support, and more. There were ugly things, but these made the remaining fans who were around to work even harder.
In 2016 earned NU'EST their first music show nomination on SBS MTV The Show. Fans were taking a more serious approach in streaming and pooling financial resources for paid voting on Laifeng. L.O.V.Es who were here would remember the many tears on Monday, as we fought to keep the boys ranking  either at the top or second on the Tudou charts.  We were disappointed in the first week, but we picked ourselves up and tried again. And again.
For Love Paint, we did it. They finally became 1st Place nominees since their debut, and we did it for 2 weeks in a row. While sadly we still came in 2nd and in defeat, fans tried their best for two weeks in a tough upscale battle. To some other groups, it might not be even worth a mention, but for L.O.V.Es and the boys, this was our new high. With as little resources as 2000 albums sold, L.O.V.Es pit in their all for a shot of completing the boys’ dreams.

2017: the coming of a miracle, the title of a reversal icon
There isn't that much to talk about 2017 that most L.O.V.Es would already have known. Produce 101 was the crux of our pain, but it brought us utmost happiness too. During the 3-months of the survival show, there was an never-ending roller coaster of emotions. Fans split up in different camps at the start, some upset at Pledis' decisions, other thinking it was the perfect chance. But separated in opinions, there was also a lot of concern to the boys' future, and a lot of joining hands to keep haters at bay.
The three months also saw a huge influx of fans into the circle, drawn by the boys' continuous hard work and appreciation for their talents. Naturally, with the shift and number of people, squabbles arised, but ultimately, everyone was here to show NU'EST their support in their own ways - in streaming, in album purchase, in hyping them up, in loving them. That, was ultimately key to their slow success, and the title of a reversal icon.
As Minhyun had said, 'it's fated'. Fate has in hand given us one of the biggest disappointments in 2017 with the finale results. It has given us endless tears and frustrations, but it too, has changed our whole world. Overnight, we turned our disappointment into actions. NU'EST started charting, peaking on Melon top 100 charts what we would never have done in the past. It was as if watching a miracle unfold, because of all the baby steps we struggled upon, this was one giant leap of faith. 
Overnight, NU'EST became new icons of reversal.
Meanwhile, Minhyun worked hard as a member of Wanna One. From multiple CFs, new performances and more exposure opportunities, L.O.V.Es also get to see a different side of Minhyun as one of the older kids: he's more responsible, even if he still retained his playfulness and passionate side. He learned to speak up even more, all the while cherishing every moment with members from both teams.
On the other hand, the other four members worked on NU'EST W. Releasing the first mini album as a subunit, their title track 'Where You At' debuted at no.4, the highest peak they had. At the same time, the song paid tribute to previous titles 'Overcome' and 'Love Paint', retaining the theme of knights and queens in cryptic MV. Along with the future-bass heavy track, we also saw the team learning how to work their vocals while retaining their trademark with one of their members on hiatus in the band. And with it, came the recognition. 
Music show awards. Performances opportunities. Over a hundred new fansites. Then, Seoul Music Awards 'Bonsang', Golden Disc Awards 'Disk Bonsang', Gaon Chart Music Awards 'Hot Performance of the Year', Asia Artist Awards 'Best Entertainer Award', and Mnet Asian Music Awards 'Discovery of the Year', the boys walked home with trophies for the first time, but more importantly, fulfilling the wish of attending a music show that they had as teens.
We have TV opportunities, we have new music, we have new records, and we have a bigger, more supportive, NU'EST & L.O.V.E family.

2018: new hopes of a flower path
Six-years sound like a long time - and it is - for artistes, but for NU'EST, their new chapter is just beginning. Like a late bloomer, NU'EST (Aron, JR, Baekho, Minhyun and Ren) are well-loved today for who they are, because of how much they've walked. Five kids that started out with hopeful dreams bonded over similar hardships, and no matter what the future holds, nothing could change this past.
And they say, the last flower to bloom, yields it's own unique beauty.
These boys are not without flaw. They were awkward, they were kids who were hesitant to draw attention to themselves in a variety show, and they were kids who needed refining their musical talents. And it's this amount of experience that created them today: the main vocal that we love, Baekho; the sweet honey-vocals with prince aura, Minhyun; the responsible leader who was finally able to show his true, cute-loving self to the world, JR; the rapper who became a strong vocalist, Aron; and Ren, the all-rounded maknae who gave never stopped giving fans strength and setting a good role model.
Another day, one of them fulfilled another wish. Another day, we worked towards a bigger goal.
It doesn't matter whether you're an old or new L.O.V.E, whether you left the fandom before because of real-life commitments or you're just getting into Kpop, what matters is that you're here now. There's still much to do, to have fun, and to continue growing with them.

Jammin’ James is joining us to run and manage our Kickstarter efforts after many years in customer service, retail sales and management, and we know you’ll enjoy talking with him during each phase of our Kickstarters. Some of you might remember James as one of the founders of Fiery Dragon Games going as far back as the d20 craze of years ago, so not only does he know the business and customer service side of things, but he has a long love for tabletop RPGs and all forms of gaming!

      Which brings up another addition to our little crew, but first, I want to digress and just go into the way Onyx Path is set up in regards to our projects and the developers who head up the projects.
From our beginning over five years ago, Onyx Path has been almost a central hub, if you will, with very few actual employees. But around that hub spin all of our game lines, and each of those has traditionally had a freelance developer and a team of freelance writers responsible for creating the text for each of the projects for that line.
Following the metaphor, because we must, Onyx Path as the hub at the center exerts a gravitational pull, but we have tried very much to give our developers and their teams the autonomy to create as they need to within the bounds and agreed upon parameters of that gravitational pull.
I’ve gotten the impression over the years that some of our community are imagining we’re some sort of Disney or Hasbro sort of corporation with departments issuing orders and exerting a micro-managing control over each and every stage of the creation process. That’s just not the case, and quite deliberately not that way.
How we do things has been based on the procedures for making our projects that we developed over decades at White Wolf. You could say that our book creation process is developer-driven, which I prefer to marketing or bottom-line driven creative processes.

      It’s not perfect, though, as some recent project and line-based adjustments have shown. While still holding to our creative emphasis, we’ve also been evolving and tweaking our development process and the role developers have in the making of our projects for the past several years. More recently, Onyx Path has been able to afford to bring on additional folks to help our developers do that voodoo that they do so well.
As part of this initiative to continue to evolve how we do our books, I’m thrilled to be able to announce that Fast Eddy Webb, our long-time co-worker, the guy who kept White Wolf actively publishing any tabletop RPG material at all during the CCP days, the creator of Pugmire, is coming on full-time at Onyx Path in order to add his considerable organizational and creative developer abilities to individual projects, but also to assist other developers with their projects, as well.
Don’t worry, he’s still running Pugmire and Monarchies of Mau, too!

Shanghai Disney Resort Announces “Duffy Month” as Duffy the Disney Bear Takes to the Skies on China Eastern Airlines’ New “Duffy and Friends”-Themed Airplane
Shanghai, August 12, 2019 – A new aircraft depicting Duffy and Friends took off on its maiden flight today in celebration of the upcoming Duffy Month at Shanghai Disney Resort this September. The plane, carrying a host of special guests, flew from Kunming in China’s southwest to Shanghai, following an exciting unveiling ceremony at the Kunming Changshui International Airport. The new DuffyFriendship Express marks the fourth Disney-themed aircraft to join China Eastern Airlines’ fleet as part of its partnership with Shanghai Disney Resort, following the unveiling of the popular DisneyPixar Toy Story Land-themed Toy StoryHappy Holiday Express, which was launched last spring.

Duffy the Disney Bear is a loveable, cuddly teddy bear that was hand sewn by Minnie Mouse and given to Mickey as a companion for his many ocean voyages. Disney fans across China adore Duffy and his huggable group of fluffy friends – ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou – and today, the loveable team embarked on a joyful new journey as the newly decorated plane took off into the open skies.

During the inauguration ceremony in Kunming, the capital of China’s Yunnan Province, leadership from Shanghai Disney Resort and China Eastern Airlines jointly unveiled the colorful new “Duffy and Friends”-themed airplane in front of a large group of invited guests, including media, celebrities and Duffy fans decked out in Duffy-themed apparel excited to see their favorite teddy bear. Among them was the talented young actor Chen Xingxu, a loyal Duffy and Friends fan who maintains an expansive collection of Duffy-themed merchandise.

A series of Duffy-themed experiences both at the airport and in-flight were introduced alongside the Duffy Friendship Express launch. These magical surprises instantly captured the hearts of the special guests who then boarded the flight for its maiden journey to Shanghai.

The exterior design of the plane features Duffy and his friends on their way to another adventure. From the moment passengers are handed a commemorative Duffy-themed boarding pass, their immersive and memorable Duffy experience begins.
Flight attendants wearing Duffy and Friends headbands provide a warm welcome to passengers as they step on board and discover the cute Duffy and Friends details throughout the plane. Adorable Duffy and Friends images line the entire interior of the aircraft, from cushion covers to luggage containers – with images even on the cabin walls. A new in-flight video helps passengers to get better acquainted with Duffy and his friends and fall even more in love with him and his heartwarming stories. Passengers departing from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport will find Duffy-themed check-in counters and some guests will also experience a fun “Duffy shuttle bus” that transports them from the gate to the plane.

Continuing the exciting Duffy news, Shanghai Disney Resort announced that starting this September, guests will be able to enjoy the fun-loving companionship of Duffy and Friends like never before. The first-ever “Duffy’s Heartfelt Moments” celebration will be held from September 2nd to 30th during which, Duffy and Friends’ stories of friendship and adventure will come to life at Shanghai Disney Resort in an exciting month of joyful celebrations and surprises. Guests will also experience a host of novel Duffy-themed decorations, adorable new shows, memorable themed food and beverage offerings, stylish merchandise, and much more, thereby becoming immersed in the joy-filled world of Duffy and his delightful friends.
As part of the celebration, the iconic floral Mickey display that greets guests at the entrance to Shanghai Disneyland will be transformed into a breathtaking floral Duffy, created from thousands of vibrant flowers and colors. To add to the atmosphere, from September 2nd to September 30th, the Shanghai Disneyland Band will put on a brand-new Duffy and Friends performance each morning, welcoming guests from around the world with a high-spirited mix of music and fun. Then, from September 16th to 30th, a special Duffy parade will wind its way through Mickey Avenue featuring Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou joined by a host of dancers. From September 2nd to 30th, an engaging Duffy-themed social wall near Il Paperino will become the perfect backdrop for fun poses and cute selfies to share on social media and remember an incredible Shanghai Disneyland visit. Guests will find even more fun experiences at the Gardens of Imagination, where they can place their Duffy plush in a variety of cute, miniature settings for unique photoshoots as they create their own Duffy stories.
This September, Shanghai Disney Resort will also introduce memorable new additions to its Duffy and Friends merchandise offerings. The new Duffy and Friends Rainy Day collection will feature a diverse range of charming products, including cute plush toys dressed in colorful raincoats, keychains, crossbody bags, accessories, stationery, and more. Worldwide Photo Walk 2018 Q&A

Last week we announced my 11th Annual Worldwide Photo Walk (once again brought to you by our friends at Canon, and produced by KelbyOne), and today I wanted to do a quick Q&A to answer some of the questions that are already pouring in.  
Q. When is the official Photo Walk day? A. The official date is Saturday, October 6, 2018 
Q. Scott, are you leading a Local Walk again this year? A. You bet!I’m leading a local photo walk in Innsbruck, Austria (I’ve already posted the details for my Innsbruck walk  — I hope if you live in the Innsbruck area, or like me, you’ve dreamed of going to Innsbruck, you can join me). Here’s a link to my walk. :)
Q. What do you do on a Photo Walk? A. You start by meeting with up to 50 other photographers at a central meeting point. Then a Photo Walk Leader leads the group on a leisurely paced stroll through an area that is photographically interesting; you take lots pictures; you can chat with other folks (photo walkers are very friendly by nature); you laugh, you enjoy being outside with a group of like-minded folks.  Then, after around 2-hours, you wind up at a local restaurant, pub, cafe, etc. (chosen in advance by the walk leader), where you can have a meal, some drinks, and make some new friends.
It’s a social event, and it’s really a blast (and you get to make some cool pictures, which is always good).
Q. Where do I sign up to join a walk in my city? A. Visit the official Worldwide Photo Walk Website, and click the “Find a Walk” button to see if there’s a walk set-up in a city near you. If there is, and there are spots still available, you can sign up right there for free and join that walk. If there isn’t a walk in your city, maybe you can start one and lead it yourself (more on that in a moment). And if you don’t see any in your area, keep checking back because new walks in new cities are being added every day.
Q. Why isn’t there a walk in my city? A. We don’t choose the cities. Photo walks take a place in a city because a volunteer in that city contacts us and says they are willing to form and lead a walk. Any city can have a walk — it just takes the right person in that city to volunteer to organize a walk. They can apply to lead a walk on the official site.
Q. Is there a fee to participate? A. There is no fee — it’s totally free.
Q. Does the walk have a social mission? A. Absolutely. Each year we “Walk with a Purpose” to benefit the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Nakuru, Kenya. Walkers from around the world raise funds to help the orphanage feed, clothe and care for some very wonderful children who need our help. We do it from simple one-dollar donations. This is totally optional, but when you sign up for a walk, you’ll have the option of donating just $1 to the orphanage via Paypal. 100% of your donation goes directly to the orphanage, and last year we were able to raise nearly $20,000. This year we’re trying to hit $25,000, and with your help, we can do it! You cannot imagine what a difference this makes to the orphanage (and it would mean a lot to me that you’re helping. :)
So, if you could donate just $1 when you’re on the site that would be awesome (and you’ll be helping more than you know), but again, it’s totally optional. By the way, you can give more than a buck if you’d like — some folks give a $hundred — we’ve had folks donate a $thousand, which of course, just makes our head explode with joy!

Q. What happens when a local walk fills up? A. We have a waiting list for each sold out city, so if someone cancels, it automatically adds (and notifies) the next person on the list.
Q. How many is full? A. Each Photo Walk is limited to a maximum of 50 photographers. If that doesn’t sound like a lot, you haven’t seen 50 photographers coming down the sidewalk at the same time, and later all converging at once on a restaurant or pub. It’s more like a scary bike gang (except without the bikes, or gang, or scariness).

Q. If I led a walk last year, can I lead a walk again this year? A. We would love that! Check your email inbox — we sent out invitations already to last year’s leaders, so keep an eye out for it.
Q. Is there a photo contest again this year? A. Absolutely! The best photo in each city (as chosen by your local Walk Leader) wins a prize (we’re working on just what that will be right now). From those local walk winners I will choose 10-finalists, who all get great prizes, and then I choose a single Grand Prize winner, who just gets an insane amount of stuff.
Q. I see on the site that Canon is the Sponsor. Does that mean the Grand Prize might include a camera and a lens? A. I would think yes! A separate post is coming on all the awesome prizes we have lined up for this year.
Q. Do the 10 Finalists win? A. You bet! I’ll be listing them in my upcoming post on all the prizes for the walk.
Q. Do I have to enter the prize competition? A. Absolutely not — it’s totally optional — you don’t have to upload even a single photo for the contest).

Q. Are any cities with Photo Walks organized yet? A. Yes! We already have walks set-up all over the world, with more being added every day! There are walks all over the world who would love to have you join them!

Q. How can I lead a Photo Walk in my area? A. You apply over at the official Worldwide Photo Walk website — just click on the “Lead a Walk” button (or just click here).
Q. What does it take to become a Photo Walk Leader? A. We’re looking for people who have experience leading groups, so if you’re the president of your local camera club, or a college teacher, or photography instructor, or you run a local camera store, or you’ve lead Photo Walks in your area before, so you’re familiar with keep a group of up to 50 people happy, safe and healthy, etc., you’re likely to get accepted fast to be a leader. We ask for your qualifications on the leader application, and that’s the type of experience we’re looking for.
Q. What if my city already has a Photo Walk, but I want to lead a walk, too? A. Most big cities can accommodate more than one walk, and so as soon as one starts to fill up, we add a 2nd or even a third or fourth depending on the response and city size. Also, if the walks are held geographically far from each other but technically in the same major city, we usually add those, too. (For example, New York City could have walks in Central Park, SoHo, Chinatown, and Times Square, and probably a half dozen other locations)

Q. Is there a separate Contest For Photo Walk LEADERS? A We have that, too! It’s our way of honoring the photographic work of our dedicated and talented leaders. The best image submitted from a leader will win an awesome prize package as well.

100% of the profits from the sale of these t-shirts go directly to the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya for the feeding, medical needs, clothing, education and care for these great kids. Last year we raised nearly $5,000 just from these t-shirt sales alone (imagine how much $5,000 alone means to a small orphanage).

Five words we can think of relating to our incredibly rich, tasty and hardworking county, but there are certainly many more words to describe the assortment of food and drink available to us from our waters, moors and everything inbetween.
The best way to be exposed to as many great producers as possible? Food and Drink festivals of course!
Here’s our round up of the upcoming 2018 Food Festivals in Devon as well as a couple from Cornwall. We’ve included website links for each festival as well as links to our review of the previous events for a feel of what you can expect.
This page will be updated constantly if other events pop up, or when we know more info has been released so do come back to double check if you’re looking for an event to visit. In the meantime, get the dates in your calendar!

April
14th April: Cullompton Springfest

A food, craft and music festival; there will be a Farmer’s Market, plus a range of food producers selling their food products as well as cooked food to sell on the day. Local restaurant, The Bakehouse, will be hosting an Indian Cuisine night and there is a special meal at The Walronds on the night (ticket only), with a celebrity chef doing the honours.

5th, 6th and 7th May: Exeter Food and Drink Festival

In our opinion, the largest event in the South West and based in Exeter city centre in the grounds of Exeter Castle. An excellent festival including evening music events, live music during the day, beer tent, kids cookery and activity tents, farm animals, plenty of food to eat, producers and no shortage of tasters – come hungry! Demo kitchen, chef’s Q&A, wine tasting as well as a VIP option with an extra room full of treats and a place to rest your weary legs.
  6th May: Salcombe Crab Fest

A free one day festival spread around Salcombe quay and town is a celebration of crab and seafood – with demos from chef and restauratuer Mitch Tonks, crab picking tuition, commercial crab fishing talk, crab pot making, music, wine tasting and more. The programme of events will be available on their website from March.
  26th – 27th May: River Cottage Spring Fair
Check their website for further info.
On the grounds of the famous River Cottage HQ at Axminster, this festival is full of food, music and producers in a fantastic setting, albeit not as accessible as some, so do check access if you have prams or wheelchair needs etc. Cookery line up includes Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Tom Kerridge, Guy & Geetie Singh-Watson and Gill Meller, to name a few, with more to be announced. There are workshops to book, tours to venture on as well as various kids activities. Additional activities do cost a bit extra so be sure to take plenty of cash or prebook through the website to ensure a place.
27th – 28th May: Dartington Food Fair

A free event, with a small parking charge, the food fair is held in the grounds of the Shops at Dartington. This fab food fair includes a demo tent, large food producers tent, plenty of food to eat, along with a few kids activities. On top of that you can enjoy the deli, the kitchen shop, toy shop as well as the drinks shop. A great excuse to visit this lovely ‘shopping village’ which champions local food and drink.
June
1st – 3rd June: Plymouth Flavour Fest

Now in it’s 15th year, Plymouth Flavour Fest is quite a large food festival spread out through Plymouth city centre. Food stalls, producers, drinks marquee and chef demo tent with the star chef for the event being Masterchef Judge, John Torode who will be cooking on the Saturday. Extended trading times, evening entertainment, children’s engagement programme and a continental market also feature this year. 2018 details are yet to be released fully.
2nd June: Ottery St Mary Food and Families Festival

Now in its 6th year, this event is aimed at foodies and all the family, encouraging healthy eating and showcasing local produce and restaurants. More info is yet to be released but last year over 5,000 people joined in the fun at local eateries, enjoyed tasting local produce from the food stalls and the children were well entertained inside and out.
9th – 10th June: Crediton Food Festival

Now in it’s 10th year, this event is held in the town centre and is great for food stalls, music and demos.
16th – 17th June: Q’fest BBQ Competition, Festival and Camping
Check their website for further info.
Held at Red Rock Brewery in Bishopsteignton, this newbie to the food scene is now in it’s second year. Driven by the increased interest in UK BBQ’ing, smoking and outdoor cooking, the event features a major BBQ competition. For visitors there will be camping, product stalls, BBQ cooking demos, bouncy castles for the kids, food and drink of course, live music in the barn as well as the opportunity to taste some of the best BBQ in the country.
July
15th July: Pen’Grillie’ BBQ Festival

Held at Pentillie Castle, to the east of Plymouth, this event is now in it’s 3rd year and is a lovely event consisting of BBQ competitions, live music, chilli eating competition, kids activity tent, food and product stalls, smoking and grilling demos, all in a beautiful setting.
August
12th August:  Rockfish Crab Fest, Dartmouth South Embankment

The Rockfish Crab Festival is now in its 7th year, championed by restaurateur Mitch Tonks, it celebrates all that is great about our British crab. Enjoy music, local crab, children’s crabbing competition & the best-dressed table competition – that’s the table not the guests! Bring bunting, table linen, flowers, candelabra, whatever you fancy.  Guaranteed fun & guaranteed weather-proofing with a marquee!  This is a ticketed event, and further info will be released in due course on their website.
September
1st September: Nourish Festival, Bovey Tracey

Bovey Tracey’s Fore Street gets transformed for this music, food, craft festival and Devon Street Food Awards. There will also be two evenings of concerts. More info  to be released soon.
2nd September: Clovelly Lobster and Crab Festival

A unique and beautiful place, Clovelly celebrates its famous lobsters and crabs sustainably caught by its fishermen with a great day out for all the family. This year is its 10th Anniversary.
7th, 8th & 9th September: Topsham Beer and Bacon Festival
This little festival is not all fancy and big – it’s perfectly formed and organised by the guys at The Pig and Pallet/Good Game. A beer tent, some bacon and pork based food stalls, a side loader truck opened up for the live music to perform on, and right in front of The Lighter Inn on Topsham Quay. If you’re local, be sure to pop down for a good time.
8th: Ashburton Food & Drink Festival

This free festival offers a full day of local foodie delights and entertainment. There’ll be over 60 stalls and music and entertainment together with talks, wine tasting and cooking demos.
16th – 17th: Plymouth Seafood Festival

The website states “The Barbican and Sutton Harbour will come alive on Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 September, with a celebration of locally sourced and sustainably caught, high quality seafood.”
With Plymouth having the second largest fish market in the UK, events spread across this harbourside city includes cookery theatre with well known regional chefs, food stalls, crabbing competition, and a cardboard boat race amongst other activities!
22nd – 23rd September: The Great Food & Drink Show

This is a brand new show, being held at Westpoint in Exeter, featuring some serious food heavyweights such as chefs Tom Kerridge and Jean Christophe Novelli. The weekend will include workshops, South West food and drink producers as well as a selection of restaurants and eateries. More information being released gradually but having spoken with the organiser, it sounds like it’s going to be a very exciting, large event. When you buy a ticket, you can also opt in to be in with a chance of winning a place on their Ready, Steady, Cook challenge!

A week long food event that will include Smokeinteignhead, a newly added BBQ competition. Various events are held and venues and include Tea on the Teign, jam making workshops, an evening in the orchard, Fry Up Friday, street food market, farmers market and culminating with a food fair.

  6th – 7th October: Powderham Food Festival

Held inside Powderham Castle and around the beautiful grounds, this fabulous festival includes a Theatre of Fire and Smoke, food stalls, producers, drinks, items for sale, free cookery classes for kids by Fun Kitchen, demo kitchen with local great chefs including Exeter Cookery School and some live music.
  19th – 21st: Dartmouth Food Festival

Held all along the harbour with plenty of street entertainers, food stalls, products, children’s activities and demos to be enjoyed as well as special offers in restaurants.

Just a few details about Saturday, November 4th 2017 Concordia Golf Classic @ Binhai Golf Club. This is a fun, best ball scramble to create community and raise awareness about wellness.
• Cost for the golf is 1200RMB (cost from course), plus 100RMB tip for the caddie per person • 12:00pm Shotgun Start - Flight Information will be given the week of the outing. • We will be scheduling the buses for an 10:45am arrival at the course that will leave from Concordia, let us know if you need a ride. • Sack Lunch will be provided to eat on the course • Banquet dinner at the end for those who don't have to run off to another event – need to know if you are staying for dinner • Locker and Shower facilities are nice, so bring a change of clothes for after your round • Awards for Longest Drive, Shortest Used Drive, Straightest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Longest Putt, Lowest Team Score, Highest Team Score • Raffle at Banquet • Drink Tickets will be sold at registration 10 for a 100rmb • Drink carts (2) on the course during the round ▪ Beer, soda, juice and water are one ticket each • "Mulligan Charity Pack" - 200rmb • One extra tee shot, chip, putt, and approach shot • 18 inches of string & scissors – receive during check in – one per foursome, use the string to make a putt that you missed • Men use BLUE tees Women use RED tees - Minimum of 2 tee shots per person must be used.

Wellness Week – Oct 16-20 Next week kids in PE classes will be talking about Wellness week. All students will come up with a Wellness Goal. The Week will feature two cool events, first on Thursday is the opening ceremony for APAC Baseball, at this event all students and staff will be wearing a pink wellness shirt. The second event will be a community fun sports day on Saturday. More details about both events coming.
Athletic first season sports teams will be wearing Pink uniforms again this October. Support our teams, and our friends and family who have been affected by breast cancer by wearing your pink Concordia gear. Limited edition pink and green socks are in sale in the Athletic Office for 50RMB.
The SISAC Cross Country Championships took place on Tuesday this week. The Concordia Girls finished 2 and the boys were 3rd. They run in the APAC Championship next weekend.
SISAC Volleyball Championships this weekend. Concordia will be hosting 32 teams on campus on Saturday in the annual City Championship. Come out and support our teams. Wear your pink shirts. Teams travel next week to their APAC and JPAC events.
SISAC Tennis Championship is on Saturday at BISS PX. Our team looks to repeat their first place finish and then go compete at the APAC Championship in Beijing next weekend.
Middle School Soccer teams started games this week. They will be wearing their pink socks to help support as well. The Middle School Cross Country team competes in their final meet of the season this Saturday in Suzhou.
Good luck to all of our teams the next couple of weeks. Remember to wear your PINK and we hope to see you on Thursday morning, October 19 for the PINK OUT.

Reminders
» Carrying Copies of Passport and Visa
We have been informed by Public Security Bureau that policemen are being sent to different locations like supermarkets or streets to check people's passport and visa. We would like to remind our community that carrying a copy of your passport and visa in your wallet is recommended so you are fine if you are checked. Please note that the policemen will show you their working ID when they stop you. If they don't, please ask. If you forget to carry the two copies, they could take you back to their office. In this case, we suggest you contact your employer who can confirm your passport and visa information. They may also stop unaccompanied students so I would recommend that you review this procedure with them as well.

The following information regarding bicycle riding in Shanghai is shared in an attempt to be helpful to all its member schools. For safety purposes, the regulations in Shanghai allow for bicycles to be ridden on public streets only by children age 12 and above. This regulation is strictly enforced in Puxi, but is unevenly applied in Pudong. The immediate danger is that families may assume that local protections for bicycle riders may be the same as in their own country, but they are not. It is important to be aware that if a child under 12 is involved in any kind of accident on a public street or crossing, the parent may be held responsible. Sidewalks and bicycle paths along public roads are considered part of the public roads. In addition, as accident insurance is relatively new to China and there are not many precedents with these situations, your own accident or medical insurance company has the right to refuse cover in the event of violation of the local law. We hope that better understanding will result in better safety for younger children.

Wellness Week – Oct 16-20 Next week kids in PE classes will be talking about Wellness week. All students will come up with a Wellness Goal. The Week will feature two cool events, first on Thursday is the opening ceremony for APAC Baseball, at this event all students and staff will be wearing a pink wellness shirt. The second event will be a community fun sports day on Saturday. More details about both events coming.
Athletic first season sports teams will be wearing Pink uniforms again this October. Support our teams, and our friends and family who have been affected by breast cancer by wearing your pink Concordia gear. Limited edition pink and green socks are in sale in the Athletic Office for 50RMB.
The SISAC Cross Country Championships took place on Tuesday this week. The Concordia Girls finished 2 and the boys were 3rd. They run in the APAC Championship next weekend.
SISAC Volleyball Championships this weekend. Concordia will be hosting 32 teams on campus on Saturday in the annual City Championship. Come out and support our teams. Wear your pink shirts. Teams travel next week to their APAC and JPAC events.
SISAC Tennis Championship is on Saturday at BISS PX. Our team looks to repeat their first place finish and then go compete at the APAC Championship in Beijing next weekend.
Middle School Soccer teams started games this week. They will be wearing their pink socks to help support as well. The Middle School Cross Country team competes in their final meet of the season this Saturday in Suzhou.
Good luck to all of our teams the next couple of weeks. Remember to wear your PINK and we hope to see you on Thursday morning, October 19 for the PINK OUT.

» Carrying Copies of Passport and Visa
We have been informed by Public Security Bureau that policemen are being sent to different locations like supermarkets or streets to check people's passport and visa. We would like to remind our community that carrying a copy of your passport and visa in your wallet is recommended so you are fine if you are checked. Please note that the policemen will show you their working ID when they stop you. If they don't, please ask. If you forget to carry the two copies, they could take you back to their office. In this case, we suggest you contact your employer who can confirm your passport and visa information. They may also stop unaccompanied students so I would recommend that you review this procedure with them as well.

Rocky Mountain High Brands Inc (OTCMKTS: RMHB) Review and Outlook
Rocky Mountain High Brands, Inc. (OTCQB: $RMHB), is a fully reporting consumer goods company specializing in hemp-infused food and beverage products and naturally high alkaline water. The company was incorporated in 2000 and is based in Dallas, Texas. On March 2nd 2017, RMHB announced that it entered into a contract for over $800,000 with LyonPride Music, LLC to provide promotion, sponsorship and advertising services. The company has been very aggressive with its marketing campaign in the recent past & have taken multiple steps towards it, including implementation of a powerful new GPS based geofencing software advertising system for marketing its products in the Los Angeles market. During March 2017, RMHB also announced Change of Control & ownership of the company. Jerry Grisaffi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, sold his controlling interest to LSW Holdings, LLC through a private transaction that closed on February 28, 2017. RMHB is expected to derive strength from this new parentage (viz, LSW Holdings) translating in substantial financial flexibility, infusion of need based fund for new product development, inventory production, innovative advertising and marketing campaigns and help RMHB in increasing its distribution base both in the U.S and internationally. LSW plan to merge Rocky Mountain High China with RMHB.  Rocky Mountain High China is currently a non-affiliated company and is the exclusive distributor for RMHB Brands in China. This move will allow RMHB to consolidate the revenue that RMHB China is presently reporting on a stand-alone basis.   RMHB operates in an industry that has rapidly & recently turned into a multi-billion dollar massive growth market across US and Canada with many new states legalizing it. According to a recent estimates, cannabis market crossed $6.7 billion from the U.S. alone in 2016, and that sale of cannabis are set to rise to $22.8 billion in the U.S. by 2020.  For businesses like RMHB, specializing in brand development of health conscious, hemp-infused food and beverage products, this trend of acceptance of cannabis by American society is creating an excellent opportunity in an industry that is already on a rapid growth path. The company’s stock has unsurprisingly found enormous strength in the recent past. RMHB reported increase in the stock price backed by these announcements laying foundation for revenue visibility and business growth. Description & about the Company: Rocky Mountain High Brands Inc (OTCMKTS: RMHB) is a consumer goods company specializing in brand development of health conscious, hemp-infused food and beverage products. It currently markets a lineup of four naturally flavored hemp-infused beverages (Citrus Energy, Black Tea, Mango Energy and Lemonade) and a low calorie Coconut Lime Energy drink. It also offers hemp-infused 2oz. Mango Energy Shots and Mixed Berry Energy Shots. The Company recently launched naturally high alkaline spring water, Eagle Spirit Spring Water.     Major product pipeline: RMHB currently market two brands: Rocky Mountain High and Eagle Spirit Spring Water. Whereas, it market its naturally high 7.5pH alkaline spring water from the Ancestral Rocky Mountains under the Eagle Spirit Spring Water brand Major Brands of the company: Recent developments:   RMHB recently announced that it has entered into a contract for over $800,000 with LyonPride Music, LLC to provide promotion, sponsorship and advertising services to the Company over the next year. LyonPride Music is an advertising and promotion company that will tour across the United States this summer traveling to dozens of cities in their custom party bus fleet promoting Rocky Mountain High beverages and Eagle Spirit Spring Water. The company also announced that Jerry Grisaffi, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors, sold his controlling interest in the Company to LSW Holdings, LLC through a private transaction that closed on February 28, 2017. LSW Holdings, LLC, is cheerfully optimistic about the synergies from this deal & believe that RMHB will become a worldwide brand very soon.  They plan to merge Rocky Mountain High China into the Company as a wholly owned subsidiary in the near future.  Rocky Mountain High China is currently a non-affiliated company and is the exclusive distributor for Rocky Mountain High Brands in China. The proposed merger would allow RMHB to consolidate the revenue that they generates in China.   The new promoters also plan to introduce a new hemp-infused ginseng plum drink into the Asian market.  Plum is a huge seller in the Asian markets.  With the expertise and resources of Rocky Mountain High Brands, they believe that they will be able to create this new drink and many others to bring to market very quickly.   On the flip side, management of RMHB is also positive after change in control & ownership of the company. They believe that new parentage would lend substantial operational and financial comfort to the company including, funding of new product development, inventory production, innovative advertising and marketing campaigns and help RMHB increase its distribution base both in the U.S and internationally.   Key Stock Influences: Some key influences that might govern future stock price performance include: (1)    RMHB is still at an early stage and has not yet generated meaningful revenue and will likely operate at a loss as it grows its market position and seeks ways to monetize it.  Therefore, any time or cost overrun in its ongoing marketing activities and its impact on business & financial profile will remain a key business sensitivity factor. (2)    RMHB is having a constrained financial position. Therefore, its ability to maintain liquidity and financial flexibility to fund its incremental capital requirements will remain an extremely critical challenge for the company. (3)    RMHB ability to revamp its sales strategy and to align with mainstream markets would hold the key over the near to medium term.   (4)   RMHB’s management believes that the company will receive strong support from its parent over the medium term. However, any sort of diminution in the support that RMHB is expecting from its parent would adversely affect the operational & financial efficiency of the company. Earnings Review: For three months ended December 31, 2016 sales were $24,751 compared to $313,116 for December 31, 2015, a decrease of $288,365 or 92%. The sales decrease was driven by management’s focus on closing the LSW Holdings deal, lack of inventory of its more popular flavors to sell, and a restructuring of brokerage agreements with outside brokers. In three months ended December 31, 2016 sales consisted of approximately 71% online sales and 29% distributor sales compared to 97% distributor sales and 3% online sales for the three months ended December 31, 2015. Profitability: The Company’s net loss for the three months ended December 31, 2016 was $2,410,416 compared to net income of $2,336,289 for the three months ended December 31, 2015. Cash Flow & Balance Sheet:   RMHB experienced recurring losses from operations and to date, have not been able to produce sufficient sales to become cash flow positive and profitable on a consistent basis. Therefore, success of its business plans during the next 12 months and beyond will be contingent upon generating sufficient revenue to cover costs of operations and/or upon obtaining additional financing.  In fact, for these reasons, auditor has raised substantial doubt about RMHB’s ability to continue as a going concern.   Net cash used in operating activities during the six months ended December 31, 2016 was $789,802 compared to $512,002 during the six months ended December 31, 2015. The change was principally driven by the net loss during 2016.   The anticipated operational shortfall for the next twelve months is $1,200,000. For the next two years, management anticipates cash needs to be between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. They expect raising required capital through a blank check preferred stock, as authorized by the Company’s Articles of Incorporation. Also, RMHB has plans to establish a new class of preferred stock and raise up to $5,000,000 under a Rule 506 subscription agreement. Stock Performance On Friday, March 3rd, 2017, RMHB shares declined by 14.49% to $0.110 on an average volume of 10.99 million shares exchanging hands. Market capitalization is $96.44 million. The current RSI is 47.72.   In the past 52 weeks, shares of RMHB have traded as low as $0.03 and as high as $0.16.   At $0.110, shares of RMHB are trading above their 50-day moving average (MA) at $0.09 and above their 200-day MA at $0.05. You must make your own arrangements. Usually there is parking available at the venues, but you should do your own research before the date of the event.
What can I bring into the event? You can bring a laptop to facilitate synchronous viewing of resources and links discussed during the sessions. We will also do some walk throughs during the sessions and account set-ups / registrations – so bring a web browser enabled device.

What’s the refund policy? No refund is available – if you can’t make an evening session, arrange with us for a morning session. If for whatever reason you cannot attend this event, you can transfer your ticket to any other scheduled event in a different city – you will have to incur the cost of travel and lodging.
