Yup, you're the first one who asked about this one.

The ultimate title is gonna be "Fox's lessons on how to completely and utterly ruin your evil boss (because simply killing him is not enough)" but I haven't change it on the WIP yet.

It's one that I've started quite a bit ago now, but it's gonna be a big one with lots of research and planning to do so it'll stay on the back burner for now :(

Here Fox is just a little bit force sensitive, just enough to sort of keep him safe and "asleep" during the activation of his chip and the order 66. He end up not dying like in canon but CC-1010, later on, is thrown against a wall by Vader. That breaks his chip and makes him pass for dead. Perfect situation for Fox to wake up again in a trash compactor, escape and start his vengeance against Palpatine and the Empire.

Basically, it's a bounty hunter/rebellion organiser Fox fic. With a touch of QuinFox on the side.

But to make Fox get the Rebellion in order (this is around the time of Andor so before the alliance) I need to dig more on the rebellion itself and how it works, so much many researches to do 😅

Once I'm finished with the current big projects I might try to go back on it (that would be nice)

CC-1010 was one of the unit that lasted the longest. It was the only one still in operation in its sector. It was still at its Lord side, in the middle of the new specialized troopers. But its Lord was getting unsatisfied with its achievements. One day Lord Vader used CC-1010 to convey his annoyance. With one movement of the wrist, the unit hit the wall, its head cracking against the durasteel. CC-1010 was not useful anymore, it had been taken out of service.

Fox drew in a big breath. The first in years. And got immediately stopped by a violent coughing fit. It was stinking like the karking wrong end of a Bantha in here. The movement in turn jostled his head which- Bad idea. Kriffing hell, it hurted. It was worse than the time he managed to get two concussions on top of each other, in twice as many days. For a few instants, Fox thought he was just gonna throw up, especially with those throbbing lights blinding him and making the pain stronger. He tried the breathing bit again, with smaller inhales this time, praying it'll keep him from emptying his stomach. He really didn't want to jostle his head again.

you iNatters might know this already, but one thing that can happen to observations is that they get stuck at a taxonomic level no-one IDs regularly, for example if people disagree on genus or a higher rank. Also, I at least enjoy the challenge more if I'm not just going though and agreeing with other people's correct ID to species.

When you're IDing a taxon, say liliales, you can add "&lrank=family" or "&lrank=genus" to the end of the url to filter for observations where the consensus ID is no more specific than, respectively, family or genus (or presumably whatever other taxonomic level you choose). I use this on my bookmarked ID page to see observations in my target genus that I can be most helpful (and have most fun) on.

hello neil, my mom and i have loved the show good omens for a few years now, and we recently discovered your tumblr, so we feel we must inform you of something.

when i saw the "do ducks have ears?" bit, i was very happy, but when we saw the second season came with a second mention of ducks, we were both delighted. we named these ducks over a year ago, and in a show full of important representation and themes, it just makes me feel very seen as not only a queer person, but as a person for whom ducks are very important.

these are three of our ducks, hastur, crowley, and aziraphale. we tried to get a picture of them eating peas from a bowl, which they have done, but they were most uncooperative.

here they are actually eating peas.

This was a very necessary post.
