#but when you start harassing the real life person behind the character then I have a huge fucking issue. Y'all grow up and leave him ALONE
hamartia-grander · 1 year
Video
I’m not gonna be petty because his message here is really important but I am begging y’all to stop harassing him with h*nkcon stuff. He’s expressed so many times how he sees Hank and Connor as buddies or as family, that he looks up to Clancy as a mentor and role model, and y’all need to fucking respect that and leave him out of it.

i hope every single person that sent anon hate, harassed people on their own posts, publicly shit-talked blogs, and thought it acceptable to actively discriminate and make people feel unsafe is aware that they are not just ruining the fandom spaces for people but the show itself.
are you happy now? was "defending" a fictional character that you have destroyed to the point of complete obliteration worth harming actual, real people?
harassing and bullying people trying to enjoy a show that means a lot to them is never justified, and whatever reasons you think you have that make it fine in your head—i genuinely hope you experience the worst possible consequences for your actions. you do not have the moral high-ground, you are no better than school bullies ruining another child's life.
have good omens to yourself, circle-jerk your bigoted, shitty opinions until your hands fall off, but stop abusing strangers that have done absolutely nothing to deserve any of it.
your actions have consequences, there are people behind these blogs, people that are affected by your harassment and insults. i am tired of being unable to say a single thing without getting jumped. i am tired of being persecuted for daring to have an opinion that does not align with yours.
i am tired of talking about this show because with all your crusades you have achieved exactly one thing: people hate aziraphale now and they hate him because of YOU.
because that is what happens when you harass people like that, you make that character the front and centre of your abuse and people consequently start disliking them because that's all they are now—a means of inflicting pain. you should feel fucking ashamed for everything you have done.
to anyone who is also tired: i'm sorry.
step away, take breaks if you have to, and hopefully you can find your way back to enjoying the show. my dms and asks are open if you need to vent, complain, or just want to talk about it. (they're especially open if you want to send some fun, light-hearted good omens headcanons and the like).
maybe we can build a kind, shared fandom space again, either way—it was nice while it lasted.

Summary: Dean has been working as a getaway driver for Crowley for the last fourteen years, and has survived by developing a few simple rules: always pick the right music, keep an eye on the time, never give out his real name, and most importantly, make no personal connections with anyone on the job.  Making no personal connections with anyone new is easy when he has difficulty talking in his own words.  Enter Cas, who, in order to pay for his nephew Jack’s life-saving medical treatment, decides to break bad by joining Crowley’s operations. Unlike most of his brothers, he’s new to the world of crime, but Gabriel’s list of survival tips, and their driver’s skills and quiet demeanor have a way of reassuring him.  Throughout the course of several months, their rules fall to the wayside as they fall for each other, each unable to say the words ‘I love you’ for differing reasons.  Cas’ past family life complicates things when Lucifer comes around, wanting to know how Cas is getting the money to pay for Jack’s treatment. Everything comes to a head, and they realize just how connected their world is when Dean is kidnapped.  A Baby Driver-inspired AU.
Excerpt: With little over four minutes counted on his internal clock, a trilling alarm pierced the air as three figures ran out, each with stuffed bags in tow.  Right on time.  While the other two piled in the back, one of the masked figures frantically pounded on the passenger side window with the butt of his shotgun. “Open the door!” he yelled, voice muffled.  Dean rolled his eyes, popping the handle, showing that it was already unlocked. Dean pressed play, not waiting for him to finish closing the door behind him before tearing off.   His tires burned rubber on the pavement.  One street, two streets, three streets whizzed by as Dean narrowly avoided red lights, ignoring honks and angry yells from other drivers, racing to get onto the next access road.  “Get your motor runnin’, head out on the highway!” Dean weaved between the beats of the music and the cars around him, riding the gas a little harder to try to put as much distance between their car and the bank as he could.  The goon in the backseat and Bela, who had played fake hostage, looked behind them and swore. Dean glanced up at the rearview mirror to see that civilian cars had started to part like the Red Sea for a squealing squadron. The sirens chased them down, joining in and almost drowning out the lyrics– “Yeah, darlin’, gonna make it happen”– so Dean cranked it up in response, lowering the rear windows so that they could put their firepower to use.  Whether it was intentional or coincidence, if it was set to some kismet choreography by the Powers That Be, or if it happened because Dean had a preternatural sense about timing things like this, Bela and Backseat shot their guns in sync to “Fire all of your guns at once,” popping the tires of two of the closest police cars. The cars skidded sideways and to a halt, causing a pile-up behind them.  Dean smoothly ducked under an overpass only to be greeted by a row of road spikes being laid up ahead when he emerged. With a glance to the side, he noticed that some construction workers had graciously left behind a gift for him, and decided to take advantage. Dean made a sharp turn, avoiding the teeth of the spikes.  The tempo of the drums picked up pace as Dean picked up speed. Bela put her seatbelt on and held on tight to the grab handle above her, while the guys in the backseat and next to him started begging when they realized what he was doing. “No, no, wait–!”  “What are you–?” “We can climb so high, I never wanna die…” Dean went hard on the throttle up the construction ramp, gathering enough momentum so they could soar over a concrete divider. In the few seconds that they were up off the ground, the bags in the backseat lifted off the laps of his accomplices, suspended for a moment — “Born to be wi-ild…”

The Hidden Man - By A-Bam (8/10)
Tumblr media
The plot is obvious. I can see right through it...until it gets foggy. This is a story about two brotherly best friends. They're kinda losers, but they try their best. One gets hit by a car, and he comes back different. How different? Well, he could have a disassociative personality disorder. Or, he could be a different guy. He looks the same though, so good luck trying to figure that out!
Taehun is a weird sort of everyman. He's 24 and decent looking. He gets sexually harassed by his female manager constantly, and he feels like he can't complain about it. He eventually quits over it. It's a sober start. It sums up his personality. No drama. No fight. He leaves and he looks for something better. The issue is bullies love to follow Taehun, because he's such an easy target.
Tumblr media
You literally know which one he is based on what I just wrote. His character design and flaws all line up really well. Taehun is kind, normal, and a bit of a pushover. He feels superior and more cool when he hangs out with his best pal Wonu. Wonu is movie star handsome. Girls literally whisper about him when he walks by, but he still lives with his mom. He's trying to make it as a guitar player, and it's not working out. He's too shy to flirt with girls too. He's also super clumsy. Taehun catches Wonu when he falls. It makes him feel powerful. I'm not saying Taehun is a bad friend, but their relationship feels a teeny bit codependent.
That's about to get worse.
Tumblr media
Taehun gets drunk after he quits. Wonu gets hit by a car on the way back. He's in a coma for a few days. Taehun blames himself. He often blames himself for the bad things that happen around him, or to him. When Wonu wakes up he's different. Taehun can't not notice. Wonu suddenly isn't a pushover. He doesn't trip constantly and he doesn't care about his guitar.
Taehun is wrecked by guilt and worry.
Tumblr media
Muhyeong claims he is Wonu. Wonu has a split personality that conveniently hasn't come out in like a decade. Muhyeong knows everything about Taehun, and he genuinely seems to like Taehun, which is bad.
He doesn't like anyone else.
Tumblr media
Wonu's ex Eunji appears. This is a weird moment. Muhyeong lived behind Wonu's eyes. Wonu loved Eunji once, even though they broke up and stayed friends. She still flirts occasionally, but she is a normal and cute girl. Muhyeong doesn't like Eunji, but he claims to like Taehun because Wonu liked Taehun. Then he admits it. He's tired of being pushed around. Taehun is the only friend that didn't drool over Wonu in a sexual way, or use him as an emotional punching bag. It's a mess. Muhyeong likes being free with a friend by his side that can be trusted.
Tumblr media
The creepy manager lady shows up at Taehun's home to harass him. Muhyeong threatenes to kill her like on the spot. She turns up dead the next day.
Taehun needs to focus on his new job. Real life. Something awful happens. He goes to the funeral and he gets blamed for her "suicide". Her death is apparently on him...because he didn't accept her romantic advances.
Ew.
Tumblr media
Taehun suspects the split personality he just met because...duh. But...Muhyeong is very offended...then it's revealed he didn't actually kill her. Or maybe he ordered somebody to. It's not all clear yet.
Tumblr media
Muhyeong is learning how to manipulate Taehun though. Its scary. He tells the bold truth. The old bitch was a stalker, and she abused her power in the workplace. She used company files to look up his damn address. She was an asshole. Her death doesn't have to mean shit to him.
He's right but...
Tumblr media
Taehun here is an empathetic guy. That's why he likes babying Wonu. Being cold about death isn't his thing. It's very hard for him to let go and accept that the manager who harassed him doesn't deserve his pity.
Tumblr media
Eunji is writing a horror novel which parallels the story of the webtoon, which seems suspicious. She was dating Wonu when he started "acting weird" too. It's also implied that Muhyeong just isn't Wonu, even though he knows everything about his life and friends.
I have no idea what will happen next.

omfg i'm sorry to rant but i NEED a sympathetic person to hear this. i like the every single album podcast more than most swifties, but today's ep -- and the last few -- are driving me insane. i am so fucking sick of hearing nathan and nora wring their hands over what joe might deal with. all harassment is bad, but i am done pretending that jake g and john mayer went through….any kind of wringer? they had like...a semi-awkward couple of weeks? jake is still a mega a-lister and john mayer is widely considered to be one of the greatest living guitarists. fuck, what mayer did was outright predatory -- and he's done it to multiple women -- and lbr, he lives 99% of his life totally unperturbed by it. he's not losing gigs or status in the places that matter to him; i suspect a lot of swifties aren't aware of this but i'm a guitar nerd, and uh, yeah, he's considered a living god and no one gives a shit what he did to taylor. and literally everyone woman in the public eye, including taylor, goes through worse every single fucking day, even at their heights of popularity. i don't know how to deal with hearing nathan and nora worry about :(((( omg what will joe go through :((((( when he's never going to have disgusting ai porn of himself explode across twitter on a random weekday. maybe i feel this strongly b/c i work in games, where hordes of male fans regularly ruin random women's lives because they animated a female character wearing a t-shirt instead of a string bikini, but i can't deal with this anymore. these men are fine. lots of people get mad at them, but it's because they did truly shitty things to her and she refused to absorb it silently. then it breaks, and their lives go on.
---
I feel like Nora really articulated what Anon was trying to say the other day about along the gist of "I hope something really bad happened to justify all of this." Interesting perspectives! Btw I just want to be super clear that I don't think Taylor or anyone has to justify anything like that! Just thought it was interesting how Nora put it in the latest episode and T's power is the unusual part of this equation.
---
In a very classic "I thought the two of you should meet!" re: today's The Ringer / Every Single Album pod episode.
I will say I read both of these messages before listening to the episode myself and tbh I think Nora ultimately landed in a pretty middle and reasonable place (it started out pretty rocky though) by the end of the episode. My understanding is she ultimately felt like Taylor has every right to tell the story that she wants / needs to tell and the work will speak for itself. That this is Taylor going face to face with the elephant in the room and (probably - we don't know obviously) not obfuscating the reality that we all saw play out in real time behind 'fictionalized' half truths roleplayed by semi-imaginary characters. And at the end of the day the (likely - AGAIN WE DON'T KNOW) reality is that she's prepared to walk through the narrative that is this pressure cooker storyline many are waiting with baited breath for which is the deterioration of her most significant relationship to date.
All that to say is that I think both of these points are incredibly valid. I personally have a lot of feelings wrapped up in it that do tend to come down more on the side of it's strange that the default position is this desire to sign up as first in line defence attorney for a man when the crime as we know it is 'woman writes her life into art'.
Nora interestingly noted that there's a "pressure for this album to come with receipts" (paraphrase) based on this (fan) hyped up narrative of something sinister having gone awry that this album will pull the curtain back on. And if it fails to do that, enter said self-appointed attorneys.

Gin's 2023 sappy post
It's hard for me to believe that at the beginning of this year, I didn't know a single one of my best friends in the world existed. But it's true!
How we got here
I'm not quite sure exactly when I started looking up Pedro Pascal on Tumblr, but it was sometime after February. I'd watched Game of Thrones and Oberyn was my favorite character, but I was in one of my periods of not being on Tumblr (I've had this account for about 10 years, but it's seen many fandoms and I haven't always been active).
I watched the first few episodes of The Last of Us that had come out - I was 3 episodes behind I think - and immediately looked up Joel Miller on Tumblr. How could I not? Anyway, give me ten minutes on this hellsite and a middle aged man with a huge imdb and watch me develop a hyperfixation.
So then I looked up interviews. I watched basically every interview this man ever did, but I remember that the Lie Detector interview and his appearance on the Talk Easy podcast are really what did me in. I went from admiring this man as an actor and thinking he's pretty to basically being in love with him.
Anyways....
I didn't mean to start reading fanfic? I come from the world of Destiel on AO3. I never wrote it, I just read copious amounts of it. I'd never read reader insert, much less straight reader insert, and I'd never written a word of anything even resembling a fanfiction.
But I found @prolix-yuy, @frannyzooey, @joelscruff, @fuckyeahdindjarin, and @ezrasbirdie (check the spreadsheet, y'all are at the very top!) and I was hooked.
Then I read Psychomanteum by @whatsnewalycat and Celestial Navigation by @write-and-buried and was inspired to parade my trauma around in a Dieter shaped trench coat: AGOY was born.
@beskarandblasters is the first person I really talked to on here. In fact, Kel is the one who introduced me to most of my friends on here. And we've been harassing each other on the daily since. I hope to 🦵 her in real life someday soon ❤️. I love you, bitch. You mean the world to me.
I could never ever ever list all of my dear friends I've made on here. Seriously, there are so many of you that mean the world to me. But I'm gonna list a few.
My cannibal crew @pr0ximamidnight and @atinylittlepain, without whom Love as Violence Dave (starving season), Head up his Ass Javi (in the a.m.), and the later editions of loser druggie Dieter (AGOY) would not exist - or at least they wouldn't be as good as they are.
My darling soup snake, the loml, my spider twin, my forever partner in making bitches cry (it's us, we're bitches, making each other cry in an endless loop) @ramblers-lets-get-ramblin. #1 AGOY stan forever, you may love my own magnum opus more than I love it. Thanks for listening to me scream about every pedro boy on the planet and thanks for screaming right back at me. I love you.
The random college student I found by accident, decided to take under my wing, and then was subsequently taken under their wing bc it turns out they have more fandom experience and life advice than I can ever hope to have @idolatrybarbie. Bea, my darling, thanks for always letting me bitch, for showing me fics I never thought I'd be into (The Santa Claus AU Frankie Morales Free Use Kink, anyone) but that I often was into, for encouraging my writing, and for being fucking real with me.
The pedrostories crew, but especially @pedrorascal - I love screaming about Pedro with you at... 2:30 in the morning my time (we love time zones!). Thanks for letting me be a terrible mod for your fic archive blog and never getting mad at me for not doing my job. And for being a wonderful, kind, amazing person all the fucking time.
I'm being so serious when I say I could list at least 20 more people. People who brightened my day with a reblog or a message. Or who wrote a fic I still think about at least once a week. Or who made a gifset that is permanently etched into my brain. People I talked to in discords and most likely trauma dumped on and they listened and they cared and they let me hold their trauma in return. I love you guys so fucking much.
Conclusion
I never could have imagined I'd be a writer and run a fic rec blog at 24. Especially not for Pedro Pascal Characters. But here we are -- and I can honestly say it has been the highlight of my year. And I bought a house this year.
I have so many new friends and a new hobby (I never wrote at all before this) just because I wanted to Fuck That Old Man. Incredible.

the writer is not the character. the character is not the voice actor.
this apparently needs to be spelt out to people.
you can still like something even if someone in the background is problematic. it's being able to separate fiction from reality.
look at jk rowling and how she got cancelled for one comment. harry potter is still loved by many. michael jackson - how many of you still listen to his music when the allegations came out? James Gunn - how many of you still watch the guardians of the galaxy movies and think their great?
What i'm getting at is the product is not the person behind it. you can enjoy something without endorsing the bad parts.
someone saying they like the voice of a character is not them admitting they like the voice actor - they just enjoy the voice. as someone who is audio sensitive there are some podcasts that i just cant listen to because i dont like the voice behind it - doesnt mean i dont like the person or the show... it's pained me before because i really enjoyed the show but i couldn't stand the voice. it works the other way.
liking harry potter doesnt mean you have to like jk rowling or endorse the comments she made. just appreciate the art and move on.
this is the internet.
this is a place to relax and escape.
a show is just a show.
a character is just a character.
if you dont like that character that's fine no one's going to hunt you down for it.
so don't start harassing people for a character that they do like!
Just skip past that blog - unfollow - block - or just dont follow in the first place. no one is forcing you to have anything to do with them.
you dont have to make everyone aware of the behind the scenes. let people enjoy a FICTIONAL character.
we all read fiction. we all read books/fanfics that have massive redflags on it. god knows the amount of trigger warnings in the books i have read but do we all enjoy a morally grey character that have the biggest red flags ? yes. would we go near them in real life? fuck no.
We know the difference.
grow up and let cancel culture die the death it's meant to. we can all wear our socks how we like. get over yourselves and MOVE THE FUCK ON. it's boring now and im sure im not the only one that is done with this PATHETIC behaviour.

Hi. In 2022 I got two obsessive stalkers because I made sakana content and not many people were doing that in 2022. I used to have a private blog where I would post about my personal life and process difficult feelings through projection onto characters. It wasn't art, it wasnt content, it was just me. When that blog was discovered the stalking started out as an unhealthy obsession with my personal life and idolization. When I said that I was uncomfortable with that, things went sour. A lot of personal details about my life are being spread & used as dog whistles to harass me right now. I’ve never talked about it because I have never been & am still not comfortable sharing any intimate details about myself here. It was never meant for anyone to see. I haven't posted anything in a long time because of this. I think in a different life i would've been happy making 20-note fanart posts until all shit in the world collapsed. I never did it for anyone but myself. Its stupid i was preyed on for it. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what i did wrong or what about me made these people treat me subhuman but i dont think there was anything. It was never my fault and it wasn't my job to figure out the problems of people I never consented to having any relationship with. I wish there was more I could say to make sure that something like this never happens to anyone else but the only thing I can think of is that I should've ran and hid sooner. Everyone says it, but i didn't think it could happen to me until it did. It was so gradual and banal that the line between “tolerable” and “too much” was so thin. Believe the best in people, but if the worst interpretation is bad you need to get out of there. Trust your gut, nice people can hurt you. Tell everyone you can about everything that makes you uncomfortable. You're not crazy. I have never wanted anything other than for it to stop and to be left alone. I have tried everything I could to get it to stop and none of it worked. I'm no longer going to be posting here or using any sort of public social media account. Thank you to everyone who treated me with respect and was normal to me. Its important to remember that every person you see online is a real person behind the screen.

Look, not to start shit, but
It has come to my attention that the attack on several creators via an anonymous hate blog (dubbed as "sheepgate") has been brought up again. What's more, it's being misinterpreted as many things other than what it truly was: an unwarranted and unprovoked attack.
It went beyond attacking fictional characters or people's fictional work: it aimed to hurt and humiliate real-life people. It had real life effects on those targeted (believe me, I'm not being overdramatic when I say that). To say it was warranted or that the targets were "just as bad" is to condone anon hate and harassment.
It was also expressed to me that this event was brought up after two years under the guise of wishing to know more about it. If people are that interested to know what it was about, perhaps try asking me, one of the people targeted? Instead of getting your information from secondary sources...
It almost makes me question if the intent behind unearthing this drama was really education? It almost feels the intent was to stir the pot because of personal feelings about some of the people targeted. That's merely my opinion, though.
Either way, my DMs are open if anyone is that curious.
I only speak for myself here. Please don't take this as an invitation to question others involved. Some people have moved on and never wish to relive this again.
Finally, I know I have bigger problems right now. I also know I could've let this one go. Believe me, I tried. But I find it alarming people are using this traumatic event to justify their hatred of those involved. I don't care if people dislike/hate me. You are entitled to that opinion.
But what we're not going to do is misconstrue what happened.

So… Cin has faked being hospitalized for a “mental breakdown”.
Cin, when you read this (because I know for sure you will)…
You’re calling Goldey ableist for calling your incorrect views “delusions”.
And yet here you are faking having a serious issue to get out of a conflict. That’s actually ableist.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And by the way, deleting your posts about it doesn’t make the fact that you did this go away. You can’t stop the signal. Once it’s on the Internet, it’s out there forever.
You used the lie of being hospitalized. To escape a conflict that you started.
How ironic, given that you ACTUALLY hospitalized someone by harassing them to the point of attempting to off themself. And you nearly did it to three other people.
What the fuck is wrong with you.
I don’t even have words for this.
And before you say I’m fakeclaiming you, before you say I’m being ableist or lying about you or whatever, I have solid evidence of your lies.
Your friend happened to out the fact that you faked it to us.
Tumblr media
Cin, if you didn’t want this to happen, maybe you shouldn’t have:
- Told several people to off themselves
- Threatened a friend of your own friend into blocking them
- DMed countless strangers and told them to block people
- Tried to control who’s allowed in what fandom
- Harassed a grooming victim BECAUSE THEY WERE GROOMED
And so much more that I have neither the time nor patience to put here.
And I finally understand why you want so much for people to block me and Goldey and the others.
It’s because you’re afraid.
We have actual evidence of you being a horrible person, and you’re afraid your friends will see it and turn on you. So you force your friends to block us so they’ll never find out.
Of course, that’s not the only thing you do to your friends. You also force them to delete things you don’t like, bother them for liking things that you don’t (including canon content), and block them for the slightest disagreement.
And you frequently engage in NSFW content involving Brittany Robinson’s characters on your many RP blogs. Did you know she actually said SPECIFICALLY that she doesn’t want people doing NSFW stuff with her characters?
Tumblr media
And what is it with you making all of the characters trans? Like. I get having representation and all that. I’m all for it. But… the way you draw them is almost always sexualized.
Yeah.
So there’s that too.
The point is, you can’t just be horrible to everyone around you, and then get all butthurt when they don’t just put up with your shit.
You can’t do horrible things to people and then get upset at them for responding to it.
You certainly can’t blame your hormones as an excuse for what you’ve done.
You want this to stop? Here’s what you can do.
1. APOLOGIZE. Give an actual apology, show actual remorse for what you did.
2. STOP. Stop posting about this (even vaguely), DMing people, talking about me and my friends behind our backs. Stop giving us shit to call you out for.
3. RESOLVE. Resolve the conflicts. Tell the people you told about us that you were lying (because you were). Admit any sort of responsibility for this instead of putting it on us for calling you out on the horrible shit you’ve done.
But no, you can’t take any responsibility because you’re afraid it’ll ruin your reputation among your friends. So I have a much easier option for you:
Leave our fandoms. Get off tumblr. Get a life in the real world, instead of spending every waking hour acting like you own this platform.
Things get out. The shit you’ve done is public.
People remember what you do to them.
People don’t just let you push them around.
Welcome to the real world.
Go ahead and come after me. My DMs are wide open, and despite all this shit I’ve never actually blocked anyone on this site. But just know that anything you say is forever. It’s permanent. You can’t take back words. So the choice is yours.

Everyone has the right to express their opinions, but I find it irritating AF when they do so condescendingly. Some people seem to have something negative to say every time they post. While they are entitled to their opinions, I've decided to mute them to avoid seeing their comments. I don't appreciate their constant negativity on every post (especially against AEW all the time).
Tumblr media
People are creating GIFs of their favorite wrestlers to share with others and reblog them. We're sharing happiness! I'm on Twitter too, but of course, I block all of those toxic stans.
I've noticed that some dudes enjoy posting negative comments about Eddie Kingston, Willow Nightingale, Deonna Purrazzo, and JD Drake, criticizing their weight and suggesting that only wrestlers with a body like Hulk Hogan/Sable are athletes. I'm willing to bet that all of them could outrun everyone while these so-called fans struggle to catch their breath after lifting themselves off the toilet.
They also disguised their opinion by starting as "sympathetic" and then talked about a wrestler's finisher by saying things like, "I'm sorry, I know the wrestler has faced a lot of tragedy, but I think his finisher is stupid, and it's surprising that people still buy into it in the 21st century, let alone believe in it." And then added, "The finisher is weak and unrealistic. It couldn't possibly kill or even injure a human being, so it's not believable."
Hello, fella - do you wish to see a wrestler kill other wrestlers in the ring? Like a genuine murder? After reading the comment, I got the impression that they believe something is only valuable if it causes harm in real life.
Tumblr media
Pro Wrestling is entertainment with characters who have unusual abilities like cursing, spewing black goo, and Peacock Power. Sadly, some fans take it too seriously and want to see harm done. This is NOT pure boxing, MMA/mixed martial arts competition, fellas. It is a form of sports + entertainment that involves predetermined outcomes, storytelling, and various character tropes. I don't understand why some fans dislike fun and wish the wrestlers to get hurt on purpose.
I seriously don't care if they said it on their own blogs. I care when people write long rants about a company they dislike on reblogs. It's not your post! Leave it! Also, asking others about how much they hate AEW to some AEW fans is pointless. The reason why they are doing it is because nobody is interacting with them. So they submit (anonymous) questions to bait the Tumblr fans.
"Oh - so you only want positive comments instead of criticism?" Uhhh, YES. I want good vibes on my blog. Also, DEATH THREATS to minority groups is not a criticism, you miscreants.
Nonetheless, I accept criticism about the companies or pro wrestling: the most valid criticism is the toxic environment behind the scenes. I will block these toxic stans who defend rapists whenever they defend sexual harassment, assault, rape, or even murder within the wrestling community.
Some people on social media believe that wrestlers deserve to die for having a finishing move they dislike or how "woke" the posts are. I saw some of the profiles of these "fans" - Yikes, big nope. What is it with those fans defending questionable individuals?
Please keep in mind that it is not okay to criticize someone for identifying as gender fluid or to deny someone the title of an athlete because they don't fit your personal physical preferences or even sexual preferences. If you hate AEW, it's your choice. Just stop invading our space and spout hate for the show you don't even watch. Let's block each other so we don't have to see each other.
I'm not saying people shouldn't reblog and say that they hate some of the characters - that's how fandom works sometimes, but holy shet, fellas. When those haters just hate for the sake of hate, it's time to avoid them.

Tumblr media
Propaganda below the cut:
Mona Narumi
- She is a lovely character! She's a kind pink girl who struggles with depression and impostor syndrome but is growing to be an incredible idol. She started from the bottom and is now very succesful <3
Mima Kirgoe
- Watch Perfect Blue, you'll get it.
- I'm not sure if she counts since she's technically a FORMER Idol, but her being an idol for her entire career until the beginning of the movie is a huge part of the story.
Mima is a DEEPLY interesting protagonist that lampoons the Idol Culture and celebrity worship that Japan has in spades while also existing as a reflection of the sexism of celebrity media in general.
She left the Idol world behind to become an Actress and is both constantly harassed by so-called fans and her own deteriorating mental state as the people around her, her friends, family, and the talent agents who's literal jobs are to help her succeed, constantly criticize her choice to do so and seem to not have any faith in her to be able to stand on her own and not just one singer in a group, and in her first debut as an actress she was given a role which REALLY messed her up since it was much too intense too quickly for an actress just starting out, lead to her having hallucinations of being haunted by her 'Idol self'
This all culminates in being cornered by the secondary antagonist (a fanatical stalker obsessed with what she represented as an idol) on the same studio set where she performed that intense role that messed her up, and in a heavily metaphorical moment, claims her right to love herself again and before the secondary antagonist can fulfil the scene as it played out but for real, she kills him, standing up for herself and what she wants and deserves in one dramatic strike of a hammer against a skull.
and in that moment of trauma and completion of her ongoing mental breakdown, she's escorted back into proper lucidity by one last hallucination, the set crew she'd been filming her acting roles with applauding her one last time. As if to say 'wonderful performance Mima. You've done it. you have the right to be an actress'
Mima is an absolutely FASCINATING protagonist and while she both wants to move away from her place as an idol and ends the movie an actress, i would say it's impossible to ignore what she has contributed to the conversations about idol culture and celebrity worship in media.
Mima was an idol, but she has the right to be so much more than the songs and the pretty dresses
- She's an amazing character from an amazing movie. The movie is about the splitting between the image that people perceive and the actual person behind that. Mima is in idol in the beginning but switches to acting due to pressure from management, and begins seeing her "idol form" in her day-to-day life. She's confused about her own identity, and who the "real Mima" is. It's made even worse by an obsessed stalker who wants her to continue being an idol. Despite this, she never abandons her values and stays kind, even when her whole existence as a person is questioned.
- She's such a strong person! She goes through so much, but doesn't let it hold her down. And Perfect Blue is great at showing the darker sides of idol culture and even internet culture!

Case No. 251223-MYG
Lead Detective: Kim Namjoon
Evidence Item No. 13
Catalog No. 251223-MYG-13
Notes: Testimonial taken by Kim Namjoon on December 25, 2023, at 0530 with REDACTED NAME. Testimonial taken immediately after the suspect called law enforcement from the residence on 3337 Purgatorio Drive at 0333 on the morning of December 25, 2023. Crime scene pending.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
Namjoon stares at the evidence log on his computer before double-clicking. It's cold in his office and the lighting is dim. He hasn’t bothered to turn on the lamp light, even after the world has faded to sullen darkness.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
The analog clock behind him is louder than he remembers. It’s so quiet in his office. The record has long since stopped spinning, but he doesn’t remember when. He watches as his computer window loads the video. His heart quickens. He drums his finger on the desk.
Tick. Tap. Tick. Tap.
A steady syncopation of his mounting anxiety.
Namjoon has watched the video. Knows the testimonial inside out. He has watched it a hundred times. Two hundred. Three hundred. Maybe more. He is obsessed with trying to find it – the hint that he was missing. The thing that would ultimately lead to it all going wrong again.
Again.
Tick. Tap. Tick. Tap.
Audio crackles through his speakers. It sounds like a loud cacophony of noises in the too-quiet room, making him jump forward to hit the volume button, tapping it a few times until he hears the deep timber of his own voice.
“I’m going to ask you a few base questions before we start, is that okay?”
You’re sitting across from him in the video. You have a blanket wrapped around your shoulders and there are patches of slick darkness in your hair. Blood, he recalls. You hadn’t cleaned up much before being brought into the room. The imagery of it through a screen is now far more unsettling than it was then.
“Okay.” Your voice is small and broken. He tries to listen for any other inflection, any hint in your voice that Namjoon is missing. “That is okay.”
“Can you give me your full name?” You provide it to him – the recording mutes for your name on this version of the tape, edited for your safety. But Namjoon remembers your voice, will-o-wisp-thin.
You sort of remind him of a will-o-wisp. You had then, and you do now. Glowing with a radiance that he cannot exactly place, but delicate and ephemeral like you might close your eyes and fade away. You blink slowly, butterfly-delicate lashes fanning.
Namjoon recalls a bedtime story about faerie changelings, and for a moment, he wonders if you’re one. Some alien placed into the human realm to play at being human but not quite able to shake the creamy aura of other.
He asks a few other questions, and your voice never changes. Birthday. Address. What day you think it is. Your occupation.
“How did you know the victim?” Namjoon asks.
Your eyes flicker up. A frown that is barely more than the twitch of a lip. “I’m the victim.”
“Of course. I apologize. How did you know the deceased?”
“We dated.”
“Past tense?”
“Well, he’s dead. So yes.”
“Do you remember what happened?”
Tick. Tap. Tick. Tap.
Video-you looks at the camera. Namjoon hates this part. Still thinks he’s missing something. You knew that they were recording- he had told you that much. Your stare is unsettling. Vacant. Cold. But your mouth twitches again, a soft tremble that might mean you’re going to burst into tears or mirth.
Namjoon has never been able to figure out which.
“I remember – I will always remember until the end of my days,” you say to the camera. “That is why, at the end of all things, when the sun rises here and the twilight turns to blackness down there, the Blessed will say, “we have never lived anywhere except in heaven,’ and the Lost, “We are always in Hell.” And both will speak truly.”
Namjoon looks at his copy of The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. Knows the quote is from there. Chapter nine. Its bookmarked. The quote highlighted.
Tick. Tap. Tick. Tap.
He sighs and watches again. Perhaps it’s his imagination this time. He hears your voice flicker on a word. He stops tapping. Grabs his book and opens it up to the page, to the yellow, faded highlighter.
We were always in hell. And both will speak truly.
He rewinds. Your voice is steady. Empty. He catches the middle of the sentence, the end of the quote, “…And the Lost, ‘We are always in Hell.’ And both will speak truly.”
Are. Not. Were.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
Namjoon looks at his notes on you. Graduated with a master's in literature. Excellent memory. Editor at a publishing office. No family – orphan. Literary scholarship winner.
Namjoon looks up at the tape and deep in his mind, something unlocks. Because there is no way you misquoted C.S. Lewis. You recalled every other detail from that night in clarity, the night you called the police.
So why say ‘are in Hell’ instead of ‘were in Hell'?
Tick. Tick. Tick.
It occurs to Detective Kim that you never really left that house on Purgatorio Drive.

You are incredibly talented gif maker - and it's not only about colours and effects, it's also about the ideas behind them, the scenes you pick, the way you combine them, the quotes you add to pass a message - a short story of their own. I love them!
And I love your writing! It's colourful, captivating, full with beautiful, breathtaking descriptions and comparisons and you masterly find the right balance between setting a scene and dialogues to make the story vivid!
Keep going and never let some stupid Anons bring you down in any way! 💖💖💖
Thank you so much, love, you're definitely too kind!
When I nuked my old blog and remade it, I swore I wouldn't let these people bring me down again, and they won't. But I'm not going to lie, the level of drama and shitstorms content creators keep on facing lately is very discouraging.
I sent an ask to a friend yesterday, harassed for no reason for simply having stated their thoughts on a character, a pretty sarcastic ask, foolish of me to think in the year of 2024 people would learn to spot sarcasm. And I got a message this morning calling me entitled bitch and, wait for it, CEO of Ewan fandom….yeah, let this sink in. CEO. Ok. Guess this is the big blog shit upgrade.
And also, how apparently during CCXP I "stole content from socials to run here and post them first to be acknowledged as the big boss around here." My bad for posting stuff from a public broadcaster, always giving credit, to reach people who simply didn't get access to that stuff right away. I am utterly dismayed (sarcasm!)
If you've come this far, I'm sorry, I realize this is a waste of your time, as much as mine. Just wanted to point out if you keep throwing shit at people for absolutely no reason other than a personal dislike maybe? - I mean that's ok, we can't please everyone - this fandom will be no more. I saw a lot of good talented people leave and honestly can't blame them. Personally I come here to have a good time, to share whatever I think and manage to create, to escape real life and its issues. Lately, I've found more issues, which were never meant to be so, here than in the outside. Starting to wonder if it's worth it.

Do you consider yourself a Yeehan shipper? And if so, why? I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, I’m a relatively new shipper (started playing this year, and other Yeehan shippers directed me to your work), but I’ve seen some of your tweets and in many of them you seem to have more negative things to say about how they make you feel than positive. So I was curious to know your stance on them, and why you keep writing for them. (If this is too invasive, you don’t have to reply)
Also, I really enjoyed Ricochet. It sold the ship to me, basically (but now I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing)..
First off, I'm really glad you liked Ricochet! It's one of the fics I'm still really proud of, and I'm currently in a project with fanartist @showerwhoops and a friend who makes fandom light novels to make it printable with lots of gorgeous art. I mean, mostly I just love collabs and wanna support G's light novel-making hobby, but hopefully other people will find that exciting to know.
With regard to Yeehan, lol, I'm struggling to figure out how to answer this, especially without context for which tweets in particular. The simple answer is yeah, I'm a Yeehan shipper. I love them. I've said it before, but I basically trauma-bonded to them and can't let go. But also I love the themes of redemption and the various forms that can take, and people finding love not when they're young and fresh-faced but when they're jaded and have been through some shit, and seeing two people fight not only to make the world better but to make themselves better people together. I love all of that. It's delicious. I also love writing them as dumb himbos because why the heck not.
I've been in this fandom since 2018. I've written 70+ fics just for Yeehan (plus a few dozen others for the rest of Overwatch), and I'm still writing it. Of my last three art commissions, one was Hanzo and one was Yeehan. I started Yeehan Fic Rec Friday (@yeehanfrf) to help new people find good Yeehan recs sourced from the community, not just one person, and to lift up my fellow writers. All of this is on my twitter, and that's not even getting into all the fan events I've participated in, etc., before this year. So yeah, I'd say I'm a fan, lol.
Unless you're mistaking my shitposting and lovingly mocking the characters for meanness, maybe the negativity you're seeing is when I'm being critical of the fandom itself? In which case... you know, I'm going to take this as an opportunity. And it's gonna get kind of long, so let's go behind a cut.
I can only reiterate that I've been here since 2018. I've seen so much shit, and while some of it has come from "outsiders" (other shippers, people who are sick of Overwatch, etc.), plenty of it has come from my fellow Yeehans too. And while most of my frustration with the Yeehan fandom is on the level of, you know, family that you love but would like to shake some sense into, that doesn't change that it can be frustrating.
Here, an assuredly incomplete list of all the things I've experienced from other Yeehan fans:
I've seen people harassed outright for drawing/writing the "wrong" character bottoming. I've seen literally dozens of nonbinary and transmasc people misgendered and harassed for being "fujoshi" "fetishizinig mlm," because nothing says great justice like blending transphobia and misogyny to attack real people over fictional characters. I've been here for at least 10 different rounds of witch hunts for various fandom "crimes" like people shipping characters with a bad-idea-in-real-life age gap or power imbalance, or even just shipping the same character with multiple people.
I was here when Cassidy's animated short dropped and it took less than an hour to see hate posts about Ashe. And I was also here when fandom retconned the tale of those events to claim Yeehan fans only hate her because some of her fans are shitty, and it can't possibly under any circumstances be misogyny ever. (Which is not saying that some of her fans aren't shitty. It's just that some Yeehan fans are also shitty and in denial about it.)
I've been outright harassed for talking about fandom misogyny, no matter how kitten gentle and "Let's Have a Teaching Moment" I've been about it. I've been harassed for pointing out fandom racism. I've seen a friend get ostracized and harassed much worse for pointing out the same fandom racism and misogyny. And this is, of course, on top of actually seeing and reading racist portrayals of Hanzo and occasionally Cassidy, and seeing and reading constant misogyny (mostly over Ashe, but not exclusive to her) to remind me that men get to have greater interiority and receive more sympathy and get their flaws smoothed over in ways women never do, in fiction and in reality. But hey, don't point any of that out, because fandom is supposed to be a place for escapism, even if those things are making it difficult to escape, yourself! (And then of course I've seen people attacked really harshly over the kind of "they probably genuinely did not know better and it would have been an easy fix if someone just very kindly explained it to them instead of needing to publicly punish them" racism or misogyny.)
I've had someone hold a sustained, months-long campaign of just constantly shit-talking me and low-grade harassing me across multiple Discord servers, and recruiting their friends to do the same, all because I said, "Hey, you've been consistently rude and also triggered me this one time."
I've had anons in my inbox doing everything from demanding I write more to accusing me of pedophilia (or supporting it) for... I don't even know at this point, lol. Because that's a thing people do in fandoms, I guess.
Maybe because I'm prolific or maybe because I actually talk to anons or maybe because I have a follower count above the triple digits, a lot of people have treated me like I'm nothing but a content machine, not a person, which is something I've seen plenty of people do to other artists and writers across fandom. It's crummy. It makes me feel like I don't belong here if I'm not "producing," and even then I'm only tolerated for that, not for, like, my basic humanity (or being funny as hell imho). I've had people attack me over dumb jokes or act like I'm not a "real fan" for them (despite the aforementioned 70+ fics, like I guess those don't count if I make a joke about Cassidy being kind of a douche one time in his animated short).
And anything that's happened to me, I've seen happen to other people. Often worse, actually, because I get far fewer rude comments on my fanfic than several of my friends do, and nobody's misgendering me when they imply I'm a woman, even if they do sometimes erase my queerness.
On the scale of things that are mostly just annoying/stressful and not so much acts of aggression, fandom does this thing where it just freaks out (positive or negative) about something instantly, so I get spoiled on stuff if I don't see it within 15 minutes after it dropped? That's frustrating, especially if the reaction is largely negative, so I'm just, like, absorbing all these bad vibes before I ever get to see the thing for myself.
And then, you know, shipwars. Shipwars are obnoxious. They are exhausting. I do not have time for them. They are also unavoidable these days. Any time I go searching for content, there's someone shitting on Yeehan and someone else stirring the pot by replying to them, and frankly it's just tiresome from all sides. (Besides, I think if you're a fan of the juggernaut ship in a fandom, you've gotta chill and recognize people will find you annoying, then go comfort yourself with your near-daily fanarts and over 6,000 fics. This doesn't mean they're allowed to be absolutely garbage monsters and harass people. Like I'm not pretending Yeehan fans are the only people capable of sucking, lol. They aren't! Online harassment is shitty at all times! But if all they're saying is, "Why does Yeehan get so much attention? I hate it," you can just ignore them, mute them, block them, whatever you gotta do.)
In general, I'm often critical of fandom, especially my corner of it, mostly because I'm a social scientist by training so observing groups of people is what I do. Like genuinely, I enjoy holding the world around me under a microscope. But also in terms of reach and efficacy, I'm more interested in "cleaning up my own backyard," so to speak, than arguing with people who wouldn't listen to me anyway (Yeehan antis in this case, I guess). So when I turn the "negative" lens on, it's of course going to be aimed at the community I'm most embedded in. It doesn't mean people outside of Yeehan are better or worse people; they're just not the ones I'm exposed to constantly, lol.
But also, as many bad things as this sounds like, I've actually mostly enjoyed my time in this fandom. I've made a ton of friends here, people I adore and respect and am so, so grateful to have in my life. I've gotten to be part of some really cool projects. I've been lucky enough to experience the absolute joy of knowing people like something that I've made, of getting to make stuff for people, of people telling me I inspired them to make things. All of those are really special, wonderful things that places like fandom cultivate, and I love that part so much that it makes me feel gooey and self-conscious about trying to articulate it.
Anyway. I'm sure the actual question you asked got answered in the paragraphs above the cut, but just in case it didn't, it was nice to be able to just say all the things anyway. You're new here. I hope you enjoy all the fun parts and don't get bogged down by the crummy ones. Also you should definitely check out the @yeehanfrf rec lists if you haven't.

john sent me his chat with you out of character (where you and him are out of character i mean) and i sent you screenshots as proof dont show it
just letting you know he's talking about you and idk of he's proud? bc he like harasses u until u say stop even though you said you were uncomfortable already. fucking weird.
I don't think it was terribly rude of him to keep messaging until I said stop, I felt I was more saying,"No more after this." Rather "Please stop you are harassing me."
But when he takes those screenshots and sends them to others, that is reaching into the realm of harassment. (Speaking about me like that, claiming I would.)I'm not sure how he thinks I am the bad guy when I want to start moving on, most of this is me reacting to them continually doing injustice to me. No matter, though. I was mostly resting, and doing other real life or internet hobbies.
That's something I want to remind everyone of, please don't get surrounded by drama or other situations, especially ones easily walk away from! I have a family, career, hobbies, a whole life. I know not everyone has more rounded lives, or use the internet to escape. In such cases, remember other websites exist, other friends. (If you're only watching the drama, it's easier too. Enjoy 😭)
Make sure you step back, even metaphorically, when things become too much.
I didn't know speaking out would cause such reactions/harassment, and I certainly didn't think those not speaking out would have to entertain the same harassment. (I am not saying John harassed Blurry, but the way John involves people who don't want to or have not wanted to speak out. Not to mention whatever John/Mycroft are doing to Sherlock, who also hasn't said anything.)
Please remember also in the sharing of screenshots, if personal information is revealed - regardless who is sharing it - remember if it is information they would normally not want to be exposed, to ignore it. Regardless who it is, me, Sherlock, John themselves, it is private conversations with private personal information.
It doesn't matter what is revealed but we must respect it as personal and not reference it, but the matter personal and private information is being shown and that is inappropriate.
Also remember anything you say online, even if it is in a private message, is public information now. It's up to us to respect it as private, and not share it, but when you say it know it is "out there" now. So to be cautious, do not reveal what you don't want known online.
These characters, while often friendly, are not your personal friends. There are mods, real people, behind these characters and they are not your friends. These mods who are projecting through their characters, while normally fine with smaller details, is inappropriate to use them to harass others. It is a power imbalance. They are not your friends. Be careful of telling them information of yourself.
Keep the discussion mature, and please wish no bad on the mods behind the characters or use personal information learned against them.
His actions show me I was correct and I should not have spoken to him. I was uncomfortable, who knows what I could have shared? Thinking he wants to discuss it, only to screenshot and share? I'm not sure his motivation for it yet. 🤷🏽‍♀️ (Or messaging Blurry when they had very little history talking, just to involve him heavily like that.)
Keep spirits high, hope for the best. Thank you, take care.
One last note on this post. Screenshots are fine in my opinion to show, if the intention behind them is pure. I just posted some to show they were in character. That was my point. That is what I proved. Once Mycroft started messaging me out of character, I have not shown them. When Harry and John messaged me out of character, I have not shown them. Even though Harry and I disagreed, and even though I requested John to leave me alone. I shared nothing.
Unless there is some threat, I suppose, I wouldn't have anything to show. But one thing is for sure, personal/private information is different from showing somebody playing a character.
