[BW] Yandere!Dinobot/Reader [hcs/thoughts]

tw/tags: heat cycle, yandere themes, mentions of stalking, jealousy, possessiveness, a tinyy bit suggestive. word count: ~700 a/n: born to obsess over underrated characters forced to yap about the popular one (but I'm joking, I love them all, I'm just sad that Beast Wars is not talked about as much as other shows).

some quick thoughts in between requests because if I don't express it now, i will forget about it.

okay hear me out on...yandere Dinobot. I know Beast Wars is not really popular in the fandom, but oh my god, this ugly handsome man

we all saw that maximals/predacons share those animalistic traits that are connected to their beast modes. Rattrap likes to chew on scrap, Cheetor acts like a cat and even meows, Tigatron considers white tigers as some kind of family; Tarantulas and Blackarachnia have that rivalry for obvious reasons (bad for him).

it would be funny if they also had some type of cybertronian heat cycles.

even though Dinobot is heavily influenced by Jurassic Park velociraptors, I still feel like he'd act like a big bird rather than a lizard. or something in between, of course.

Yandere!Dinobot is overprotective and snappy as hell, to the point he considers even other maximals as a potential danger to you. Unlike more rational bots, Dinobot has no shame at all. It would cost him an arm and a leg to admit it to you, but he's actually jealous. Of what? There's no need to find any reason to explain his behavior once the season starts.

Yandere!Dinobot is vocal; he will growl, hiss and snap his teeth at anyone who tries to approach his mate. All maximals know that it's not the time to come near the two of you, but the unrespectful predacons...I'm a sucker for duos, their possibilities, and to imagine the dynamic between Megatron/Dinobot, both trying to court the poor reader.

But once the two of you are alone, I can see him having those rare moments where Dinobot lets himself relax. Most of the time he's in a constant state of alert, the dangerous mix of his primal instincts and  that warrior code of his just tells him to take you somewhere far-far away, so no maximal or predacon will get you. So maybe he can rest just for a little with you next to him. Dinobot definitely makes soft purrs, even to his own surprise.

Yandere!Dinobot is a stalker. Maybe, when it's just the start of the relationship between the two of you, he will try to somehow justify it, at least. Like, “I am just testing your skills, a true warrior must be always alert. You don't know when the predacons attack you next” , but the more you grow closer to him, the more he lets himself be a tiny bit warmer to you “You should not wander off alone. Stick closer to me”.

Read it, and don't forget a little personal nickname he has for you, which he adds at the end of the sentence.

It will also be funny to imagine Dinobot being a little too invested in building a nest. It also gets more awkward if your beast mode is some far different species. Why would he need to collect your stuff from your room? And why is he so adamant about you always staying in his room? He is holding you so tightly that you practically have no chance but to stay. So clueless!

“Just be quiet and start recharging, you irresistible fool!”

Dinobot himself is a little embarrassed too if you start asking too many questions. He doesn't like being all vulnerable, even though he trusts you very much to know that you will never make fun of him. His own mind is clouded with not so innocent thoughts, and it actually becomes a big problem when he tries to focus on his training or fighting.

I don't think Dinobot would try to attract you with those silly dances reptiles/birds do to impress their mates, but when he is in his beast mode, you can definitely notice his tail wagging just a little bit when you're around. Rattrap probably picks on it faster than you and teases Dinobot about it until the two start fighting again.

[in1-nutshell]

Can you do a BW Predacon who got the beast form of an elephant, who is an absolute unit of size and strength and intelligence, and just a nuke bomb of an enemy, but then happened to be scared out of their skin by Rattrap (based on the cartoon joke that elephants are scared of mice). Like an “Ew ew ew go away GO AWAY!*runs for their life*” type of scare.

This. Is. Brilliant!

I now have a mental image of Bot Buddy on top of a table on their tip toes staring at Rattrap.

They were the best in the business.

Terrorsaur gruntle scream from underneath the rock.

“Oh, that’s nice—Oh Sweet Primus! Hold on!”--Buddy

Their height added to their larger-than-life personality.

They were almost as loud as their explosives.

Colorful even.

Too bad they had sided with the Predacons.

Their love for explosives was far greater than morality.

Many of the Predacons believed Buddy to be this pillar of unwavering power. A fortress of invincibility against any Maximal weapon they had.

That being said, they only confided in two fellow Predacon’s about their abnormal fear.

Dinobot and Waspinator.

Waspinator found out more on accident.

The two of them were out on patrol when the incident happened.

The rat squeaks at Waspinator causing Buddy to shriek and shake more.

Waspinator proceeds to punt the little guy away.

“Itz okay Buddy. Rat gone.”--Waspinator

“A-are you sure?”--Buddy

Waspinator nodding as Buddy slowly comes back down.

“…please don’t tell anyone…”--Buddy

“Buddy zecret safe with Wazzpinator!”--Waspinator

Waspinator sits on Buddy, now in elephant mode, happily swinging his pedes back and forth enjoying the ride back.

Dinobot was more out of respect for the warrior while on the ship.

While he was still a Predacon.

Dinobot had shared his feelings about Megatron’s questionable things in the past. This was a big thing for Dinobot to even talk behind his then leaders back to someone else.

Buddy felt the need to show that his secret was safe with them, so they told him.

The fact that Buddy hadn’t even encountered Rattrap on the battlefield was even more astounding.

They finally meet Rattrap during a particularly heated battle.

Maximals are losing to the Predacons.

Buddy’s entrance being one of the main causes of this.

Buddy just having the time of their life.

It's early in the solar cycle, mornings you call them, he is sure you've barely left your little human made hut of steel, gone to do your science, most likely with an empty tank and pressing him once again to wake before the first sunlight gleam even when you haven't told him so, but it's easy for him, sharp teeth and claws, experience on his side makes it easier to bring down a decent prey, he ends it's suffering quickly as he knows from experience you don't like to end your prey yourself, making him do all the job.

But alas, Megatron and Primal said to be helpful to the fleshies, so Dinobot drags back the prey back to your steel hut, sure this is going to last you for a while once you drain the last bits of energon out, he expected you to at least do that with one of your machines, so he can be left to attend his own business.

He expected your steel hut to be left alone, just drag the big prey to it and be done with it, maybe if you were back already or it was a "hoolidiy" he would teach you the best way to skin it and don't leave any meat on the bone, at least show you basic knowledge as courtesy for whatever you humans are doing in Eukaris that seem to be good for his people, so while dragging the big body to your territory and giving the most hateful glance to anyone that looks at him funny, be it for even believing they could take the prey from him or for that strange lopsided smiles, Dinobot finally arrives, noticing the upper cover of the steel hut open, meaning you're in there, the smoke is elevating to the sky and making him cringe, how many times does he have to tell you to stop that? Not only are you damaging the atmosphere you humans so much need for only a meal, he has taught you how to don't produce ashes or do you really wish for any predator to know where are you and all the tiny, defenseless and ridiculous looking humans?

Primal is way too lenient with the humans, Dinobot curses with gritted denta while increasing his pace, cursing along the way as his stabilizers drag him and the prey, he doesn't ask to be left inside because this is Eukaris maximal territory, not Earth, and that's what is custom here so if you even try to make him get out to ask first to get inside again he will-

Dinobot was ready to impart some words to you, don't be foolish to get an open fire like that so early even when predators are scarce in daylight, don't be so conceited to think he'll always hunt down prey and bring it to you ready to eat as he has spent some hours draining the blood in the river an hour away, taking it to you in beast form to show it doesn't even have importance enough to carry it in root mode, not because the fur will fall naturally while dragging it, saving you the problems from cleaning, not because it shows the blood of the prey on him proudly.

He was ready to put things on place, leave you something to make your weak constitution somewhat better by consuming better things than your strange meals inside shiny envelopes, just be done with this for a few days, but the smell on your steel hut make his optics constrict.

There's your smell, but also the one of an intruder, which make his plating flare, his denta twitch and his vocalizer produced a threatening growl to the open air.

His bloodthirsty growl is received by squeals of joy.

Said squeal leads him more inside your steel hut, claws and struts silent, his posture ready to jump at the minimal movement or provocation, his centered optics are no more than a thin line of light inside the dark room, his denta his bared to whatever is inside the pod you have slightly elevated, it's little, looks cozy, and he knows why when he finally realized what was inside.

"Dinobot?"

You appear on the doorless entrance of the room, a tray of food in hand, poorly jellied energon on it, your voice makes whatever is in the pod, a crib pod, smile even more, laugh louder.

It makes him shudder on his place.

"Did you meet one another already?", he gives you a lot of distance when you get near the crib, which is curious as he, normally, would be already asking, if not demanding, what had you done, especially since he didn't hear anything from you about this, well, he didn't even know you got back to Cybertron.

Dinobot watched as you got whatever that was in your hands, it looks like you but he is sure it smells like a cybertronian, but also like you, it's a mix soon to make his tank turn.

There is obvious care in your touch, giving support to the short, weak neck of it, bringing it close to your chest, you smile at him, "He still doesn't have a name".

You refer to that as a him, his optics travel over your body, what little skin is exposed in those strange fabrics called clothes, there are no marks, no signs of you being claimed or of you doing the same to someone, but he does notice the scarred skin of your hands, Dinobot isn't versed with things related to Cybertron, the first planet, but he knows enough to figure out what it means, his frame, his scales shudder, he makes a little chit chat with his denta, his long, deadly claws scratch the ground and before you have time to even realize Dinobot is acting strange or get to thank him for the prey you didn't see yet, all you get to see is his tail exiting your house.

You don't see Dinobot for days, days you pour in work and your child, who isn't growing up, expectable since he isn't really human even when he looks like it, everyone has already seen him, more than one had their big, shiny and curious optics above him, wishing and asking to hold him without words as the fear of breaking him showed to be too much when even the medic of the maximals almost didn't move when he tried to check him over for the first time.

When you see Dinobot again he is ignoring you, or he seems like it, actively moving out of your way, searching for something around you, apparently he didn't notice at first but as time came and no one appeared next to you, he came back to leaving things on your doorstep.

He looked downright murderous, snarling all the way and muttering about a "useless deadbeat" before dropping whatever thing he catched, leaking energon all the way, different from before as he stopped you to even make a question, "just purge the energon and put it in a refinery for that" he said, referring to your child as a "that", saying sorry when he realized the mistake you were not even aware.

Some looked at him funny, Cheetor said something to Dinobot that earned a snarl at him and almost go into a physical fight in the middle of the comunal fire, your child was climbing his leg struts, catching your interest how Dinobot let him do his own thing, moving sluggishly, almost falling if not for the servo of the older bot, careful with his deadly claws but not exactly containing his own sharp tongue to your baby.

Hi hi hiii!

Saw you're taking requests, so I was wondering if I could request BW Cheetor with a Fem!S/O that is aquatic? Like, her beast mode is a squid/octopus, or a shark (or maybe even a mix of both if you wanna go that far), and alongside that, she has this sort of mermaid mode that's an in-between point of her beast mode and robot mode.

Your stasis pod landed in an ocean, and it hit a rock on the way down, causing it to start the process of scanning for a beast-mode to survive on this planet, and it scanned a local Octopus.

You loved swimming. You swam in the river back and forth, even coming across the ship by the waterfall. That's when you met Cheetor. Well, more like he saw you and followed you.

When you did notice him, you started the conversation, you both got along, and the rest is history. You're usually not a social bot for you like being alone, so you striking up a conversation first was a surprise to you.

You both continued to hang out in secret because your dislike for groups. He would make you laugh from his stupid jokes and many dumb one liners, and you would entertain him with tricks and singing like you were putting on a show. It's strange, you don't like being social, but you like the dramatics.

The only reason the rest of the Maximals found out about you is because they and the Predacons were battling near one of your napping spots, the sounds waking you up and making you cranky.

You went up to the surface, and you fought and won against some of the Predacons before they retreated; it was like fighting the Kraken. Literally, the lower half of your body was like Ursula.

When being introduced, you kept a stoic expression and acted cold, but when it was Cheetor talking, you had a happy face and treated him like he was a childhood friend; it's obvious you have a favorite.

Now, your relations with everyone else. For Rattrap, he was basically how he was with Dinobot when he joined but was a bit more linnet and was met with the same kind of sass. You have his respect.

You and Rhinox are like brother and sister with your knowledge for inventions and technology, and with your extra arms/tentacles, you are always welcomed to help whenever he's working. 2-for-2 bud

Your relationship with Dinobot is kinda strained. You both don't like each other, but you both don't hate each other. It's basically looking into a mirror, but with a different reflection.

You get a weird feeling about Optimus, not the bad kind; it's a weird, good kind. Any invention you make, you show it to Optimus first if it would be good to used. If he approves, you feel a sense of euphoria that you made him proud; if he disapproves, saying that it's morally bad to make an invention that would destroy the Predacons in one fell swoop, you take in the information to better your projects- no you don't see him as a Sire! You don't know what Rattrap's talking about!

Cheetor, you've always had a good relationship with him. You heal him up when he gets injured after a battle or an accident, you always volunteer to go on scouting missions with him, you always assist him, you love seeing his cute smile everyday. Same thing with Cheetor! He would do anything for you, even if it's to make you laugh; he loves it.

Meanwhile, the rest of the crew have to deal with watching the two of you pinning over each other, not even realizing your feelings for one another.

Dinobot paused with his glass almost touching his lips. He lowered it and turned his helm to look at you. You were staring down at your empty glass with one arm laid out beside it on the bar surface and your other hand in your lap. After a moment of silence you swallow hard, never once meeting his eyes.

"I…" Dinobot lets out one of his low snarls, "...think you may have had too much to drink, human."

You shake your head, still not glancing at him, "No. I might be a little tipsy but I'm not drunk yet."

A low growl-like hum escapes his throat, "I have my doubts."

You finally raise the hand in your lap to grasp your glass and tilt it around in place, "Why?"

"Because you just told me you are… attracted to me." He responds, finally raising his glass and finishing his own drink.

"I don't need alcohol to like you," You slouch and lay your head on the table and turn it to finally look at him, "I needed it to work up the courage to tell you I like you."

He looks at you again, your eyes finally meeting for a brief moment before you look away from him and back to your glass.

"And what would your plan be if I turned your affections down?" He lets out with a low rumble.

You glance at the bottles of scotch and vodka between the two of you, "Drink until I forget this conversation ever happened."

He snarls and clears his throat, "Well, I suppose for your liver's sake it is… a good thing I return your feelings." He confesses and you turn your head to look at him in surprise.

You slowly raise your head to sit upright, still staring at the bot who now cannot look you in the eye this time, and a small smile begins to form on your lips.

Story time.

Buddy is out on their first solo patrol in a while. It had been calm these past few days and the Maximals wanted to cover more space during patrols. There was no telling if the Predacons were planning something.

Cheetor was already out the doors when Primal said the word. Buddy just sighs and gets to their assigned place near the riverbeds. They are just watching some of the vegetation and occasionally talking with Rhinox through the comms. Every now and then they would try and get in contact with Cheetor.

“Cheetor. What’s your statis?”--Buddy

“Sheesh! You don’t need to do that with me you know. Save the formalities with Optimus or Dinobot.”--Cheetor

“So then what are you doing?”--Buddy

“Doing my job--oh a bird!”--Cheetor

“Remind me again how are we related again?”—Buddy

Budy now entered the water, figuring that they could cover more through the river and cool off a bit from the afternoon heat. The current of the river suddenly got stronger and started slowly pulling them under. Buddy is trying to get out of this newfound current the best they can and trying to see if something caused it. They knew these rivers and never had the current been this strong.

Buddy quickly comms Rhinox about the situation. Rhinox is trying to coach them the best he can telling them to stay calm and to find something to grab. Then he hears Buddy struggling and bobbing in the water.

“Buddy stay on the comms. I’m sending the others to your location.”—Rhinox

“Hurry Rhinox! Things aren’t looking too good over here!”—Buddy

Rhinox began calling in anyone in the area to go check out Buddy as quickly as they could. Cheetor says that he can get there fast but the closest one to Buddy’s location was Rattrap.

“Don’t worry kid! I’m sure it’s not that bad.”—Rattrap

It turns out it was indeed bad.

He manages to get to the river and sees the problem. Some glowing thing at the river’s bed was creating a whirlpool dragging anything that wasn’t pinned down. Poor Buddy was holding on to dear life on some nearby rocks near the whirlpool. He quickly ruled out going into the water by himself, he was going to need back up. Rattrap quickly comms in for anymore back up and he was engaging the problem.

“Rattrap to anyone near our location! It’s some sort of portal thing and it’s trying to drag Buddy in it!”--Rattrap

“What?!”—Rhinox/ Cheetor

“Dinobot to Rattrap, I am closing in on your location.”--Dinobot

“This is Cheetor, I’m coming in as fast as I can!”—Cheetor

Dinobot arrives not a minute later. Rattrap transformed into his biped mode and grabbed the end of Dinobots’ tail as he dug his feet into the ground.

Buddy now was exhausted from trying to keep afloat, but they try their best to stay on the rocks and reach out for Rattraps servo. Rattrap notices Buddy getting tired and tries talking to Buddy.

“C’mon Buddy I’m right here. Talk to me Buddy. Just reach your servo out a little bit more.”--Rattrap

“I’m trying Rattrap. I don’t exactly want to get suck in by whatever that thing is.”—Buddy

Cheetor arrives and wants to jump in, but thanks to Dinobot he doesn’t. He trades places with Dinobot as he quickly transforms into his biped mode to try and further get Rattrap and Buddy out of the water. Cheetor has an iron grip on Dinobot’s arm, laser focused on trying to ground everyone. He starts shouting to Buddy to grab Rattrap.

“Buddy grab Rattrap!”--Cheetor

“I’m tired Cheetor.”--Buddy

“Don’t give up now! We are almost there just hold on a little bit longer!”—Cheetor

Rattrap was inches away from Buddy’s tired servo when the portal starts moving upwards from the riverbed. The current above moved faster and had goten stronger. Dinobot nearly lost his grip on Rattrap, struggling to keep his servo in his and not let the current break the chain. The current, sadly, was so strong it sucked in Buddy without another tug. Cheetor screamed as the portal closed leaving the river calm as it was before. He manages to yank Dinobot and Rattrap to shore and jumps in himself trying to swim around the area where Buddy was.

“BUDDY! Buddy! Buddy where are you?!?!”—Cheetor

Which was trippy for him since he couldn’t swim too well. Rattrap did end up saving Cheetor’s behind. Both him and Dinobot try scolding him about jumping in so quickly, but it fell to deaf ears. Primal descended from the sky and asked what happened seeing Cheetor’s devastated face.

“They’re gone Bossbot… they’re gone…”—Cheetor

Meanwhile on the Lost Light.

Brainstorm had been in the middle of demonstrating his latest dimension hoping device to Team Rodimus. Drift was internally facepalming himself as the monologue went on. Ratchet had no problem doing it publicly. Drift normally wouldn’t mind the science droning so much, but it had been a couple of boring days. Not that he wasn’t grateful for the leisure days, he was grateful for the lack of fights around. If only Ratchet would finally decide to take a break with him... but that didn’t matter right now. Brainstorm started up the machine the room filling with soft hums of the engine… right before it started spewing water.

“Is this normal?!”--Drift

“Nope!”—Brainstorm

 Everyone tried stopping the water, meanwhile Brainstorm, Perceptor and Nautica were trying to stop the machine. Drift was trying to move some important looking tools out of the way before the machine started sputtering. Before anyone could comment on it something brown spewed out and landed straight into Drift’s chassis knocking him down onto the wet floor.

“GAH! What’s on me?!”—Drift

“Calm down it isn’t moving or biting you. Look at it its probably dead.”—Ratchet

“You don’t know that!”--Drift

Thank goodness Drift let Ratchet convince him to leave some of his swords for the presentation if not the poor thing most likely would have been spliced. Drift gently picked it up. It looked a lot like some animal he once saw on Earth, it was limp in his servos. Everyone started crowding around. Ratchet managed to stop the crowding a bit before he and Brainstorm started inspecting the thing. Buddy’s optics weakly came online and saw a room full of unfamiliar Cybertronians. Bigger and stronger looking Cybertronians.

“GAH!”--Buddy

“GAH!”--Drift

“GAH!! What in the Allspark!”—Buddy

 Buddy is a little smaller than the minibots. Everyone was in shock and baffled. The thing was Cybertronian with an organic altmode. Now while it wasn’t unheard of, it was still surprising to the few members of the crew that didn’t have much time with organics.

“Oh Primus I’m dead aren’t I? Is this the Allspark? Never thought it’d be so… ship like?”—Buddy

“You ain’t dead kid.”—Ratchet

“Are you sure?”--Buddy

“I can change that if you want.”--Ratchet

“… You know what I’ll take your word for it.”--Buddy

“Welcome other dimensional being! Welcome to the Lost Light!”--Brainstorm

“…What?”—Buddy

Buddy’s optics go wide remembering what had happened. They try to get up but start falling. They try steading themselves on Drift pede.

“I… the others…my—"—Buddy

They pass out of exhaustion and stress before any coherent sentence is made. Drift scooped them out as Ratchet moved some bots out of the way so they could bring the newcomer to the medbay.

After Buddy wakes up after a fistful nap, Drift is by their side and gently explains what’s going on.

“So, what you’re saying is that the bot who was welcoming me on board is the same guy who brought me here? And that this is another dimension right after the Great Autobot and Decepticon War and this ship is just flying through space trying to find some mythical Knights?”--Buddy

“Yeah, that about sums everything up.”--Drift

“This is so weird.”—Buddy

“But its weird to me that you and a bunch of bots are from the future trying to stop events from happening in the past, so that time doesn’t collapse in on itself. And on top of that, you have an Optimus and a Megatron named after our Optimus and Megatron.”—Drift

“… Okay so both of our dimensions are weird.”--Buddy

“That seems about right. Oh, I almost forgot, Megatron is at Swerve’s right now with Rodimus and Magnus. They want to meet you.”--Drift

“…You want to run by me that last sentence one more time.”--Buddy

“Oh yes Megatron is an Autobot now.”--Drift

“!!!???”--Buddy

Buddy stays by Drift side for the entire walk. He does his best to answer Buddy’s questions.

“Was the medic that was looking over me really The Ratchet?”--Buddy

“Yes, that was Ratchet.”--Drift

“Have you ever been to Earth?”--Buddy

“Yes, yes I have on a few times in the past.”--Drift

“Does your Megatron have an obsession on saying ‘Yes’?”--Buddy

“No… not that I know of?”--Drift

“That’s good for you then. You haven’t suffered that.”--Buddy

Personal headcanon Cheetor’s ancestor was Rodimus/Hot Rod.

Imagine Buddy’s absolute surprise and delight seeing Rodimus hanging out at the bar. Rodimus spots the newcomer with Drift and goes to introduce himself. He was not entirely prepared for the newcomer to lowkey geek out.

“Hello there Captain, are you really Rodimus Prime?”--Buddy

“Yeah, I am and you must be Buddy from another dimension.”--Rodimus

“Sorry--but sweet Primus-- I would have never thought I’d meet you. Not in the living at least.”--Buddy

“What?”--Rodimus

“In my dimension you are my ancestor. Its truly an honor to meet you and to be just here with you--oh that probably sounded weird-- Are you okay?”--Buddy

“I’m fine.”—Rodimus, was currently trying to hold back happy tears and hugging Buddy because finally he has someone who apprentices him and his work!

Congratulations Buddy, Rodimus’s ego and pride have increased by a 10-fold. Rodimus is taking them under his metaphoric wing.

“As my descendant you must be great at Meteor Surfing.”--Rodimus

“I was for a bit but, it was outlawed in the sectors we lived in. so we couldn’t really surf much back home.”--Buddy

“… Magnus! Clear my schedule! Buddy and I are going out!”—Rodimus

Buddy had a good time with Rodimus Meteor Surfing, but they honestly wanted to go back and talk to Drift again. Drift had made it clear to Buddy that he was there to help and be Buddy’s friend for the time they were going to be in this dimension.

“Drift we’re back!”--Buddy

“Oh how was it with you and Rodimus?”--Drift

“Fun and all how have you been?”--Buddy

“I’ve been cleaning some of my blades.”--Drift

“Can you show me more about your blades?”—Buddy

Soon after a week the machine is ready. Buddy said goodbye to everyone.

“Good-Bye Drift! Good-Bye Rodimus! Goodbye everyone! Thank you for everything!”—Buddy

 Once Buddy has left Drift goes back to his habsuite. He finds a present on the recharge slab, it was a picture of Buddy and Drift at Swerve’s having a mirroring smile on each other’s faces.

Drift smiled softly and placed the photo in one of his subspaces, near and close to his spark, right where it belonged.

Meanwhile with the Maximals

They had stormed the Predacon base earlier in Buddy’s disappearance thinking it was them who had taken Buddy hostage. They, however, soon enough that it wasn’t the Predacon’s doings for once. After some research on the portal’s residue, it turned out it was an outside force that made the portal. But they didn’t have any way of finding it or knowing if Buddy was even online. Enough time had passed, Buddy was confirmed to have been killed in action.

The mood in the ship was heavy.

Primal was doing his best to navigate his team through the tough time. It was never easy to lose someone close to you. Was discussing with the team to finally put Buddy to rest after the time had passed.

Rhinox was sad and upset that Buddy was gone. He feels like he could have gone to the river himself. He was helping Optimus with the preparations for Buddy’s funeral.

Tigatron and Airazor got the news a bit later as they were far away on their patrol routes. Both clinging on to each other for comfort.

Silverbolt and Blackarachnia found out when they got back to the base that day. Both of their comms being broken after an incident with a rocky ledge. Silverbolt was more openly sad about Buddy than Blackarachnia, but she was sometimes seen looking for Buddy in the places they would usually be.

Rattrap and Dinobot are both blaming themselves for not trying harder. Dinobot and Rattrap both find consolation in each other in a way, mainly remembering good times they had with Buddy. Dinobot secretly is making a spark warming speech for Buddy’s funeral. Rattrap tries to keep an eye out for his fellow crewmates, especially Cheetor.

Cheetor was in denial for the first day that Buddy was gone. He was so sure they weren’t gone. Near inconsolable after reality hit him. He was often seen in Buddy’s habsuite crying and talking to them.

The day of the funeral comes around and it’s just them going back to the river and saying their goodbyes.

But fast forward three hours earlier.

Buddy was spat back into the river and crawled back to the shoreline. They are happy that they are home again.

Buddy sees a lovely hidden area and decides a little nap wouldn’t hurt. Who knew dimension travel would be so tiring?

Fast forward to the present time.

Now they are awake and hear the voices of their team. At first Buddy thinks they are imagining the voices. Cautious of it possibly being a Predacon trick. They get up from their hiding place and sneak behind the rocks to see what was going on.

All the team was by the river… for their funeral?!

They weren’t dead!

Quietly they walk over to hear more.

The funeral was wrapping up with Cheetor telling them about his favorite times with them and that he would miss them so much.

“Guess what I’m trying to say is… I’ll miss you Buddy and I love you.”—Cheetor

Buddy was in tears, and accidentally broke the precious moment.

They squeak.

Everyone turns around, some drawing out their weapons. They freeze seeing a very much alive Buddy.

Dinobot sneers at Buddy, telling the others it a Predacon trick for sure. Rattrap demands Buddy tell them something only Buddy would know.

“If you’re really Buddy… then where did Cheetor go patrolling a four weeks ago.”--Rattrap

“You mean where I was patrolling, Cheetor skipped to go race with the other cheetahs and begged me to cover his shift--oops.”--Buddy

Cheetor dropped his blaster and floors Buddy to the ground and starts crying happy tears and holding them tight. Buddy gladly hugs him back just as hard.

Buddy wants to tell everyone of their wild journey across dimensions, but they decide to tell after they are done being beaten to death with hugs and playful scolds.

“Don’t you ever do something like that again!”--Cheetor

“Not planning on it. Oh! I met Rodimus Prime!”--Buddy

“You met who!”--Cheetor

Can I request Rattrap as a dad?

Because Rattrap would make a few mistakes but he’d love his sparkling to death. I think he would teach them to be sneaky because he’s a spy.

I also think it would be funny if the sparkling were to bite Dinobot, Rattrap would laugh and be like “Heh kid, you and me are gonna get along just fine.”

Hahaha, yeah these requests about the Maximals as parent are fun to write about. Here is our Rat Dad in action.

Rattrap finding an abandoned Sparkling

Beast Wars

The sparklings beast mode is a chameleon.

Rattrap, for all his worth, has the most self-preservation of the entire team. If he finds out that there is danger, he is out of there…unless his moral compass and orders are taken. And if it involves Dinobot then there’s a 50/50 on that.

“Oh, well we tried.”--Rattrap

“Where’s Dinobot?”--Optimus

“…so who’s ready to get back to base?”--Rattrap

“Rattrap…”--Optimus

“Rodent! You tripped me down the stairs!”—Dinobot

He may seem selfish and mean… but he is loyal and stubborn in a good way. Nothing bad is going to happen to his friends on his watch and is not afraid to speak or sass anyone out. It can however backfire with his temper, especially with Dinobot.

Which is where the story begins.

Rattrap had stormed out of the base after yet another argument with Dinobot. This time the wound was still a little sore and he decided to take a walk and maybe do some patrolling before coming back to the base. His team knew that taking some time off was a big deal, especially when he wanted to go out alone during the night. Rattrap never liked doing night patrols, especially alone. But they let him off so he could cool down a bit.

“Stinkin’ mouth… stinkin’ Dinobot…”—Rattrap

Now Rattrap was on one of the patrol trails when he heard something in the air. He quickly hides when he hears crashing and a lot of angry screaming. It sounded like Terrorsaur. But the sound of the Predacon slowly went away, as if he just flew off.

“Now… to look at what made the sound in the dangerous wilderness by yourself without any back up whatsoever. Or go back to base where its warm and safe with Chomperface waiting for you…”--Rattrap

“I must be crazy for doing this. I think I’m hanging out with Cheetor and Silverbolt too much to be doing a stunt like this.”—Rattrap

Rattrap, despite every single hair on his body screaming to get back to the base, decided to check out what made the noise. He found the pod with the hatching opening. Carefully he comes closer and was soon looming over the case and was stunned.

It was a little sparkling, and what it looked like, had scanned a beast mode already.

“What in the name of Cybertron?”--Rattrap

“Yuck!”--Rattrap

Giggling sparkling noises

“Oh, you think that’s funny?”--Rattrap

Dinobot tried to get the sparkling from out of Rattrap’s grasp to give to Rhinox when they sneezed and disappeared.

“What in Great Aunt Arcee did you do?!”--Rattrap

“I don’t know it just disappeared!”--Dinobot

"Spread out and find them!"--Optimus

After 5 minutes of searching for them again, they were right next to Rattrap the entire time. That was one exciting first impression. The sparkling starts getting raised by everyone on base as no one had time to solely to focus on them with the Predacon’s still attacking.

The sparkling, thanks to their camouflage keeps everyone on edge. Rattrap is the one who manages to get the sparkling and help master their ability of hiding and stealth. Which may not have been the best idea.

“It’s been 20 minutes and still no sign of them!”--Dinobot

“Eh. Don’t worry about it.”—Rattrap

“How are you not worried?”—Silverbolt

“Are you going to call them and think they’ll show up? We’ve been doing that already, its not work—“--Cheetor

“Easy. Buddy time to come out now. Come to Rattrap.”--Rattrap

Buddy appears behind Dinobot’s tail.

“Gah!”--Dinobot

He had an epidemy on parenthood when one day the sparkling went missing for hours after a nasty fight broke out between Rattrap and Dinobot.

“Brontobrains!”--Rattrap

“Cheese lips!”-- Dinobot

“Hey where did Buddy go?”--Cheetor

“What do you mean where is Buddy?”--Rattrap

“They where just here…”--Silverbolt

“Buddy! Buddy come to Rattrap!”--Rattrap

Everyone was looking around the base. Looking through every crevice and corner. It seemed as if the sparkling truly had disappeared out of thin air.

“They’re not in the CR Chamber”--Rhinox

“Not in the top cupboards.”--Silverbolt

“Not under the table in the main room.”--Blackarachnia

“Not in their room.”--Tigatron

“Not in any escape pods.”--Airazor

“Not in the weapons room.”--Optimus

Everyone was sprinting towards the door and fanned out across the area. Rattrap ended up finding them near the place where they first met.

“Buddy? BUDDY!”--Rattrap

Happy little sparkling noises

“What were you thinking kid?! You could have been kidnapped out here! Or a Pred could have scrapped ya! Do you have any idea how worried—“—Rattrap

The brick of parenthood has struck once again.

He brings them back to the base where everyone comes in surrounding them all making sure they were okay.

The next day he announces that he would be the sparklings permeant guardian. He is full on ready to sass back anyone who opposes the idea. To his surprise Dinobot is the first to congratulate him for taking him so long.

Congratulations Vermin. Maybe now your attitude and smell will go away with the Buddy here.”--Dinobot

“Oh, that’s it you overgrown stinky iguana! Come here!”--Rattrap

Rattrap always keeps the sparkling close by him, blame his paranoia. If he had to go out on patrol, Dinobot is his first pick for babysitting. If he can’t it’s usually between Rhinox or Silverbolt.

He might accidentally give the sparkling some bad influences, but he is trying his best to make sure that they turn out all right. He installs honesty in this little guy down to their core…unless it came to their Uncle Dinobot or any other Predacon.

Best Ape Dad.

 He has deep respect for Buddy.

Not only are they balancing their duties on board the ship and scouting missions, but also making time for their sparkling.

If Optimus sees Buddy having a particularly slow day or looks like they are about to collapse at any moment he tells them to take a break and let him and the team look after the sparkling for a bit.

“Take a break Buddy, you’ve done enough today.”--Optimus

Sorry Primal but someone needs to look after them.”--Buddy

“Yes, and while it’s admirable that you still want to do that, you need to rest. The team will help look after them. I promise nothings going to happen to them on my watch.”--Optimus

He is in the top 5 best babysitters on board the ship.

When Buddy is out cold, he takes the sparkling in his arms and performs the rest of his duties. If they behave extra well, he’ll take them out flying around the base’s grounds.

Rhinox

Rhino Uncle.

Since Rhinox mainly stays at the base, unless told otherwise, he is a familiar face to Buddy and their sparkling.

It makes them a bit closer, as Buddy’s main work goes to the base. Rhinox is one of the first to spot if Buddy is having a slow day or looks like they are about to drop.

“Buddy, you’re doing it again.”--Rhinox

“It’s time already?”--Buddy

“You know it Buddy, now, hand over the sparkling.”--Rhinox

He makes a mini carrier strap to put the sparkling on his chassis while he works. He gives the sparkling little toys he makes out of some spare parts that are safe to use.

He does use his beast mode too often when the sparkling is around, he doesn’t feel like he has as much control of his huge steps as in his bi-pede mode.

Reigning in at the top 5 best babysitters.

Cheetor

Best Older Cat Brother.

Buddy has gained a new child. Cheetor doesn’t mind it too much, though, he always wanted a little sibling in a way.

He doesn’t know how Buddy does all this stuff.

He does try and help with the sparkling from time to time, Cheetor is good with kids after all.

While he does spot Buddy’s slow days a bit later than the others, He makes sure that Buddy does sit out for a break.

“Hey Buddy, you’re a bit slow today.”--Cheetor

“Well not everyone can be as fast as you Cheetor.”--Buddy

“Yeah, but I can take the kid if you want. I’ll make sure they are okay, and you can take a nap! That sounds like fun.”--Cheetor

“We are going to have so much fun!”--Cheetor

He has enough energy to keep up with the kid and their activities. Constantly racing or carrying the sparkling as he races around the base or base grounds.

Rat Uncle.

He has a soft spot for the two of them. He tries to deny it, everyone knows otherwise.

He is constantly on Buddy for overworking themselves. Rattrap will take the kid if Buddy looks like they are going to drop without saying anything else.

“Yeah?”--Rattrap

“Give me my sparkling back.”--Buddy

“… I know I did not hear you say that while you’re swaying side to side like a palm tree.”--Rattrap

“… point taken. Just make sure they get nap time this time.”--Buddy

He makes a decent babysitter, just don’t take too long if not he is going to show the sparkling a few new swear words and how to make a bomb using a paperclip.

Dinobot

Dino Uncle.

Dinobot was honestly surprised to see Buddy with a sparkling when he joined the Maximals, it gives him conflicting feelings.

What if he hadn’t joined and continued to fight for the Predacons? What if he had shot Buddy or assisted in injuring them?

The sparkling would be left without a parent. He isn’t letting that happen any time soon.

Dinobot takes a bit to spot Buddy having their slow days, mainly he wont take the hint unless he sees Buddy about to fall or Rattrap making it obvious.

“Sooo… you gonna help Buddy out or what?”--Rattrap

“Why? They look fine.”--Dinobot

He is a decent babysitter but isn’t left alone for too long as he will give the sparking to the next Maximal.

Tigatron and Airazor

Auntie Birdy and Uncle Big Cat.

They absolutely adore the sparkling. Both have mad respect for Buddy.

Taking on the role of parenthood while still at war and doing a good job? Buddy is taking that on like a chap.

Since they work out of base for most missions, they don’t interact too much with Buddy or the sparkling but when they do, they make sure to give Buddy a break from sparkling duties and get out of the stuffy base for a bit.

“Come Buddy, its such a nice day outside.”--Airazor

“But what about—”--Buddy

“Tigatron has them taken care of. Now come.”--Airazor

The pair are on neutral grounds of babysitting. They would be ranked higher if they were around much more.

Silverbolt and Blackarachnia

Silverbolt is on Buddy and the sparkling from the get-go.

He is making it his job every time that Buddy gets out of the base that they come back safe and sound to their sparkling.

Blackarachnia like Dinobot has some conflicting feelings about the two after turning to the Maximals.

When she was with the Predacons she didn’t know about the sparkling.

She does feel a bit guilty thinking about all the times she had nearly got Buddy offline in the past whether directly or indirectly. She tries not to think about it too much.

Blackarachina is usually the first to spot that Buddy is overworking themselves. She does not go easy on them for skipping on the taking care of themselves.

“Um… what are you doing—Hey!”--Buddy

“Silverbolt, keep Tiny occupied.”--Blackarachnia

“As you wish my love. And Buddy, just go with it.”--Silverbolt

She makes sure Buddy gets some TLC; she makes them promise not to tell anyone of this interaction.

Like she says she doesn’t care. (Liar).

Dinobot would take a lot of time warming up to the kid but I think if megatron ever took the sparkling captive Dinobot would go apeshit.

Beast Wars

The sparklings beast mode is a canary.

Dinobot has a complicated history.

From being one of Megatron’s top soldiers of the Predacon’s; having to defect to the Maximals; from trying to get along with the team; living up to his warrior’s code of honor; and narrowly escaping death (Just ignoring canon here. Don’t mind me.)

He has his work cut out for him.

“Hey, watch where you’re going Scale belly.”--rattrap

“I would if I saw were you were Vermin.”--Dinobot

“Oh, yeah what about my height? You want to go Chomperface?!”--Rattrap

“Meet me outside in 20 minutes. We will settle it then.”--Dinobot

“…Its literally 3 am. Why are either of you up?”--Cheetor

“We could be asking the same thing to you kid? Go back to bed.”--Rattrap

“But—”--Cheetor

“Go to bed!”—Rattrap and Dinobot

He honestly thinks he has peaked in the weird things that have happened.

Let’s change that with story time.

It was chaos on the battlefield.

It was an interlock shooting battle between the Maximals and the Predacons over the newest pod that had just crashed down.

Dinobot and Rattrap were the closest to the pod hiding behind a rock. They were running out of time and ammunition. The pod had just finished scanning for a life form and the pod’s door was stuck. The bot inside couldn’t get out even if they wanted to.

“I’m going in.”--Dinobot

“Say what?”--Rattrap

“Cover me!”--Dinobot

“Dinobot!”--Rattrap

Dinobot starts sprinting towards the pod while Rattrap was doing his best to keep him covered. The rest of the team soon followed suit. Dinobot yanks the pods door clean off its hinges and grabbed the bot body close to his chassis as he turns to run back. He makes it back to the rock and shields the bot with his body.

“Don’t let the traitor escape!”--Megatron

“Hey Megamouth! Try this on for size!”--Rattrap

“Grenade! Grenade!”--Terrorsaur

“Take cover!”--Waspinator

Rattrap manages to throw a grenade at the Predacons which causes them to retreat. As the smoke clears, Dinobot still has the bot close to his chassis waiting for the sounds of blasters to stop. Then he hears the sound, a sound that he hadn’t heard in eons.

A sparkling chirp.

He quickly looked down and sure enough in his arms was a sparkling. This sparkling was smaller than the average sparkling.

They had a beast mode that honestly made a little difference in their size.

They were still so small.

The sparkling ended up nuzzling themselves further into Dinobots chassis.

Happy chirping noises

“…”—Dinobot and Rattrap

“Don’t you dare.”--Dinobot

“Hey everyone!—”--Rattrap

“Rattrap!”--Dinobot

Oh boy…

Dinobot didn’t want this.

The next few days Dinobot is trying to do his regular duties without being seen by the sparkling. The sparkling, if they found him, would make a beeline into his chassis and start cuddling. His teammates found this funny as Dinobot would try and get out of the sparklings grip, but they would always come back.

“…Don’t—”--Dinobot

“Hey Buddy, Dinobot’s here!”--Rattrap

Chirpping getting louder.

The sparkling was an energetic induvial that had a terrible habit of getting into bad situations. And it wasn’t like the sparkling was looking for it either.

“So why are we here again?”--Blackarachnia

“It’s a team meeting.”--Silverbolt

“What is it about?”--Tigatron

“It’s about Buddy.”--Airazor

“What about them?”--Dinobot

“Have you notice that they manage to attract a lot of bad things?”--Rattrap

“Oh, I get what you mean.”--Cheetor

“What you lost me. What things?”--Rhinox

“Just the other day I had to save the kid from a falling beam.”--Optimus

“I just checked those things a few days ago.”--Rattrap

“We went outside and Buddy nearly got attack by two snakes, several big fish and a rabbit. How does a mere rabbit attack Buddy?”--Dinobot

“Yeah, maybe we need to see into this.”--Silverbolt

“Wait has anyone seen Buddy?”--Dinobot

Giggling noises

“Oh scrap!”--Rattrap

They kept everyone on the team on edge whenever they went somewhere alone.

Dinobot didn’t care though.

He didn’t care that this little creature gave him spark attacks every time they were in danger. He didn’t care that they got hurt doing the simplest things. He surely wasn’t teaching them some self-defense techniques. He definitely doesn’t freak out when he hasn’t heard their annoyingly cute chirping sound—

Oh…oh…

No, no, no, no, no, he doesn’t care about that pesky little sparkling. Dinobot tries to keep his distance even more after this realization is made. He makes it clear that he doesn’t care to the rest of the team as soon as the parent jokes are made.

He doesn’t know that Buddy was making their way past the room. They only see an angry Dinobot, they think about some flowers they saw earlier. That for sure would cheer him up! So, they mosey on over to the entrance of the base and are on their way to go get the flowers.

It takes a couple of minutes for Dinobot to realize that things are too quiet.

“Where’s Buddy?”--Dinobot

“Oh, they’re right—”--Cheetor

“They’re gone again!”--Rattrap

“Fan out and watch your step!”—Optimus

Now everyone is looking around for any sign of Buddy.

Then they get the call.

The Predacons had Buddy.

“Maximal scum. If you ever want to see your precious bird again then come to the base without your arms. Maybe a negotiation can be reached? Yess.”--Megatron

“Megatron, once I get my servos on you I am going to shove my sword up—”--Dinobot

“Enough. Now come over, if you ever want to see your precious bird again. Yesss.”—Megatron

Everyone is ready to get Buddy back. Dinobot is out for blood, they manage a plan, and they are ready to execute it.

For Buddy.

The Maximals are halfway to the base when they hear a familiar buzzing sound and chirping.

Dinobot is leading everyone.

They remove the thick bush when they find a peculiar scene.

It was Waspinator and Buddy. And it looked like Waspinator was… teaching Buddy how to fly?

“Yes, little bird bot is doing it!”--Waspinator

Happy chirping

Buddy looked at their family and happily chirped and went for Dinobot. For once reciprocated the hug.

“Where is Megatron?!”--Dinobot

“He’zz not here. Only Wazzpinator and little bird bot.”--Waspinator

“What?”--Dinobot

“Megatron wazz going to bring little bird bot to mean Spider bot. Bad things… Wazzpinator didn’t want new friend to get hurt.”--Waspinator

“You… saved them?”--Dinobot

“Yezz. Wazzpinator save little bird bot and want to be Maximal like Lizard bot.”--Waspinator

Dinobot contemplates this as he looks over Buddy seeing no harm was done.

So they all returned with a sleeping Buddy and newly formed Maximal Waspinator.

Can I get platonic maximals with a reader who’s a technorganic (half human, half cybertroian. Like Sari from transformers animated) where Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Dinobot, and Rattrap become father figures to the reader please.

Haven't done one on a Techno Organic in a while. This was good practice. Sari was a good character in TFA. Lets see our fellow Maximal doing with Buddy.

Optimus Primal

“I guess I have another kid now.”

He is one of the more open members of the Maximals to include Buddy in their little family.

He is a bit weirded out at the Techno Organic nature of Buddy but is quick to get over it. They took animal alt modes after all; they aren’t too different from one another.

The thing he is weirded by is that Buddy is an advance human. He has nothing against humans. He is used to seeing primitive humans around, not one with many advancements. If he hears someone talking badly about Buddy’s origins, someone is going to have to answer to an angry ape.

He does take time from his day to spend it with Buddy, whether that be chatting on patrol or flying around on their jetpacks. Welcome to parenthood Primal.

Has been the victim of surprise ‘piggyback rides’ in his beast mode. He doesn’t mind it too much.

If Buddy feels insecure about being part Cybertronian, part Human he is there to help them out of that pit of self-doubt and self-loathe.

There is no holding back this ape if Buddy gets hurt by the Predacons. This is a wild ape with swords, things will get destroyed.

“Hey Dad, can we go out now?”--Buddy

*Voice crack* “Sure thing Buddy.”—Optimus

“Oh, Hello there. Nice to meet you!”

He finds Buddy to be interesting when they first meet.

Like Primal he is one of the first to open to Buddy. He finds their complexity fascinating; he has never seen something like this before. He has no problem with them being who they are, will put someone in their place if they say otherwise.

He is also a prime target for the ‘piggyback rides’ but he doesn’t mind whether in bi-pede mode or beast mode.

His time with Buddy usually happens when they are stuck in the base with him or when they are trailing behind him looking at the different species of flowers around. He greets parenthood with open arms.

“Hey Papa! Look at this drawing I did of the flowers we saw yesterday!”--Buddy

“That’s beautiful Buddy. I’m proud of you kid.”—Rhinox

Dinobot

“What in the inferno is that?”

Yeah, he is a bit freaked out first seeing Buddy.

He doesn’t want anything to do with Buddy at first. Sees them as some sort of nuisance at first, until they unlock their weapons system. Now he sees the equivalent of an armed toddler running around the base. They need someone with actual weapons to guide them.

While he was quick to judge Buddy in the beginning, he is just as quick to give a verbal or physical lashing to anyone who talks badly about Buddy.

He forms a mentorship with Buddy before knowing what parenthood was. After he does realize that he is going to protect Buddy with all he has.

Doesn’t do the ‘piggyback rides’…but in private though…

When he learns of Buddy’s unkind feelings towards themselves, he has one of the greatest warrior speeches that go on par with Optimus’s speeches. He is making sure that those thoughts don’t show their ugly heads again.

Oh, Megatron best hope that Dinobot never finds out that Buddy was ever hurt by anyone in his army. There would not be a single thought running through his head that doesn’t a line with hurting the attacker badly.

“Pa, have you seen my swords? I swear I left—”--Buddy

“…Guys I think I broke him?”—Buddy

“Just when I though humans couldn’t get any weirder…”

He does find Buddy creepy at first. He has had time to meet and greet the humans of this era and they aren’t exactly the smartest of the bunch. Rattrap doesn’t trust them for the longest time too.

When he finds out Buddy being called certain names, he is ready and armed to the teeth to defend them. Little guys have to stick together in this world after all.

After a bit though, he tends to stick by Buddy more often than he would want to admit it. Welcome to parenthood.

He sasses Buddy the entire time they are on his back doing the ‘piggyback rides’… but he doesn’t kick them off.

If he gets a whiff that Buddy has unkind thoughts about themselves, he will talk some sense into them explaining how much cooler they are to certain team members and that they should be proud of the little being they are.

He is willing to go back into the Predacon base to ruin every single wiring if he ever found out that Buddy was hurt by one of them.

“Hey Pops, can you pass me that wrench?”--Buddy

“Sure, Kiddo give me a second. I think I left it in Chomperfaces room.”—Rattrap

The sparklings beast mode is a pangolin.

Silverbolt thought he his life was already full of excitement. From battling alongside his fellow Maximals; trying to live up to his own hero code, and keeping his relationship with Blackarachnia.

So far things are good.

Let’s change things up a bit.

Silverbolt was out on patrol one evening. Letting the cool winds glide along the skyline. Things were peaceful up here without the smells of war. Then he spots a semi buried escape pod. A pod that looked like one of the pods he had arrived on.

“Silverbolt to Maximal base.”--Silverbolt

“Come in Silverbolt.”--Rhinox

“I’ve spotted an escape pod near my location. I’m heading in to inspect it.”--Silverbolt

“Cheetor and Optimus are close by. I’ll send them over.”--Rhinox

“There’s no need for that my friend. I’m sure I will be fine.”--Silverbolt

“They are on their way Silverbolt.”--Rhinox

“Okay then. Oh, and tell Blackarachnia—”--Silverbolt

“Tell her whatever you need to tell her when you get back, bolt for brains.”--Rattrap

When he landed by the pod it was struggling to open. Too much sand was the cause of the problem. Silverbolt decided to help his fellow comrade and helps open the pod. He is not expecting a small sparkling with some sort of new beast form to tumble out. He helps the poor thing up; he is not expecting them to latch on to him.

“Oh? Umm… Hello there fellow Maximal. My name is Silverbolt, what is your name?”--Silverbolt

“Beep?”--Sparkling

“…Oh, Primus you’re a sparkling!”--Silverbolt

“Beep.”--Sparkling

“Do not worry my new friend my friends are coming over to help us and make sure you are okay.”--Silverbolt

It’s an interesting site for Optimus and Cheetor to see once the come to the area. They take the newcomer back to the base for Rhinox to check up on them. Silverbolt has to sit next to them while Rhinox checks on them because they won’t let go.

“Why is Silverbolt on the med slab with the sparkling?”--Blackarachnia

“The kid won’t let go.”--Rattrap

“What do you mean won’t let go?”--Blackarachnia

“The kid just won’t let go. We’ve tried grabbing them but either they start hissing or Silverbolt start growling. ”--Rattrap

After clearing that the sparkling was in perfect health, it was time for everyone to know about the newest addition to the team.

In summary everyone is divided into two groups. (As you may notice some characters are shown when they don’t have much appearance in the further seasons. Why? Because some “Canon Events” don’t exist here.)

The sparkling ends up being raised by all the Maximals on base since no one has yet to take full responsibility. That’s what Silverbolt thinks. Everyone is waiting for him to get the hint and adopt the sparkling. They know that the sparkling favors him out of everyone.

“C’mon Buddy. Just take the fuel and all this will be over.”--Cheetor

“You’re not doing it right. You must make little noises so they can open up. Then when they finish eating it you have to smile and give them a thumbs up.”--Silverbolt

It takes Silverbolt forever to figure out that the sparkling has clear favoritism towards him and not his fellow Maximals. The team didn’t think much about it at first. They thought he was just being humble. But as time went on, they realized that he was just oblivious. An intervention had to be held.

“I don’t understand why we are all here?”--Silverbolt

“It is an intervention my friend.”--Tigatron

“Oh who are we intervineing?”--Silverbolt

“Umm… that would be you Silverbolt?”--Airazor

“What?!”--Silverbolt

“It’s nothing bad Silverbolt. Its just that we want to make sure you knew.”--Optimus

“Know about what? That Rattrap didn’t do his patrol last week because he faked his cough?”--Silverbolt

“Wait—”--Rattrap

“That’s why you didn’t come! I had to do the entire sector by myself in the freezing wind!”--Dinobot

“No that can’t be it. Oh! Was it Cheetor sneaking out of the base after curfew?”--Silverbolt

“You did what?”—Optimus

“That’s not important right now Big Bot...”--Cheetor

“Oh, now I know it was! It was who made that hole in the damaged blasters! Yeah that was—”--Silverbolt

“Its about you and the kid!”--Blackarachnia

“Buddy? What do they have to do with the blasters being damaged? It was—”--Silverbolt

“We’ll circle to that later and the other problems. Silverbolt you do realize that Buddy looks up to you, right?”--Rhinox

“They look up to all of us Optimus.”--Silverbolt

“What he means is that they look up to you especially.”--Optimus

“Oh, I don’t know about that. They seem to get along very well with everyone here.”—Silverbolt

“Really?”--Blackarachnia

“Really!”--Silverbolt

“Then explain that.”--Balckarachnia

Buddy using Silverbolt as their own personal jungle gym the entire time being there.

Thankfully for everyone’s sanity, Silverbolt does realize that he is the sparklings favorite. He considers it an honor for the sparkling to look up to him so much. Has volunteered to help with anything that concerns the sparkling.

They need refueling? Good thing he was around he needed to refuel too.

Are feeling awkward during a heated meeting? Just say the word, and they will be outside of the base flying through the sky.

Is a mean old Predacon being mean to them? They are going to have to try and catch these Maximal hands because no one is touching his-er- the sparkling.

He is there for their first transformation, and he was ecstatic.

“YES! Yes! Buddy, you did it! Look at you! That’s my sparkling! Yea—“—Silverbolt

It was at this moment that Silverbolt was hit with the brick of parenthood.

He does asks Optimus about caring full time for the sparkling. Primal is so glad that he finally figures that out. When the other hear, there is much cheer and exchange in shanix all around. The sparkling practically imprinted themselves on Silverbolt on the day they met.

Now Blackarachnia on the other hand…

She doesn’t do ‘kids’. She finds them annoying and meddlesome.

“What are you looking at kid.”--Blackarachnia

“Wow calm down they’re just a kid.”--Rattrap

“Then tell them to stop staring at me!”—Blackarachnia

But truthfully… the kid scares her. Not in the way you think. Blackarachnia isn’t afraid of a lot of things. She does however, fear in the amount of trust and reliance the kid has on her. So used to having to look out for number one can do that to someone. But for Silverbolt, she tries to at least tolerate the kid.

“My love where are—oh!”--Silverbolt

Silverbolt is happy that at least Blackarachnia is making an effort to try and get along with his sparkling. He knows that transitions like these get easier with time and don’t always start out good. Good thing he is a patient Maximal.

Beast Wars

Being Techno Organic, Buddy always felt a bit ostracized from the people they knew. They thought their luck would change when they met the Maximals. They were such a lovely team and most of them welcomed Buddy in with open arms. Sure, there were snags along the way, but every new friendship doesn’t start out perfectly at first. The insecurities never left though.

Buddy never voiced their problems to their team, feeling as if it would be an unnecessary burden to give to the already exhausted group. So, they just buried the thoughts and feelings deep down, not a healthy way to cope but they couldn’t think of another way to do this. Today the lid was bubbling over. Primal had gotten in the crossfire between them and a Predacon (was it Terrrorsaur? Maybe Inferno?). He had to be taken straight back to the base for repairs. The ugly thoughts had decided to show up as Buddy and the other Maximals waited for Primal’s news. It felt too much, they needed to get out of here.

They were just going to cause more trouble if they just stayed here. Anyways, what was a part human, part Cybertronain supposed to do here amongst these ‘true’ Cybertronians. They waited and planned their escape. They began packing up everything they owned, which wasn’t much, and took out one of their data pads and wrote down a note. Buddy at least wanted to give an explanation in some way. At least they would know finally. There still wasn’t any news about Primal’s condition.

They waited till they were certain that everyone was in recharge before they acted. As quickly and quietly as they could, Buddy dashed to the entrance of the base and easily slipped through one of the little holes. An advantage Buddy had, many of the small holes in the base were near perfect size entrances and exits for Buddy. They ran. They ran and ran until they were sure that they were far enough from the base to activate their jetpack and flew off to their new home. Buddy flew for a couple of hours until they came across a waterfall, behind the waterfall was a series of ‘small’ cave mouths. Small for your average Maximal or Predacon, perfect for Buddy. They dropped their bag in a semi dry area and slumped on the cool wall and began to cry their little spark feeling the familiar hold of loneliness take over as they fell into a restless sleep.

Optimus Primal

As it turned out, Primal was fine. It wasn’t as bad as it looked.

No one thought about telling Buddy though, they had forgotten to tell them as everyone was preoccupied with other things.

So, when he comes out of the chamber he wants to know if Buddy is okay.

“Hey look who’s out of the chamber.”--Rattrap

“Good to be back from his little nap.”--Tigatron

“How are you Big Bot?”--Cheetor

“Feeling much better. How’s Buddy?”--Optimus

“Oh, we haven’t seen them since we got back.”--Cheetor

“Can you go get them, I need to talk to them.”--Optimus

“You got it!”--Cheetor

“What are you going to talk to them about?”--Rhinox

“I want to make sure they are okay after that fall. No doubt at least some bruises, but just want—”--Optimus

“THEIR GONE!”—Cheetor

“What!?”--Silverbolt

“Hold on what do you mean ‘gone’?”--Airazor

“Like they aren’t their anymore! Packed gone and- and they left a note.”--Cheetor

“What does it say?”--Optimus

“It says ‘I’m sorry for all the trouble being a techno Organic freak has brought you guys. I hope with me leaving your luck will change. I’ll miss you guys. By the time you find this I will be long gone. Don’t bother looking for me, I’m not worth the it. Sincerely, Buddy.’”--Cheetor

“…”--Everyone

“They really left just like that…”--Blackarachnia

“No, they really think that we weren’t going to go look for them. We gotta go right?”--Cheetor

“You’re right. Everyone huddle up there is no time to lose!”--Optimus

Optimus is quick to organize groups to go search for Buddy. He has Rhinox stay at the base in case Buddy came back and or someone needed medical attention.

The teams came out like this:

Team one was going to be Cheetor and himself.

Team two was going to be Rattrap and Dinobot.

Team three was going to be Tigatron and Airazor.

Team four was going to be Silverbolt and Blackarachnia.

There was no room for argument, as everyone was to a degree worried about where Buddy had runned off to. Rhinox tells everyone the general direction the cameras caught Buddy going.

Primal gives each of the teams a sector to look through. He is not going to leave Buddy out there alone for another night.

Primal sticks to the skies for the most part, trying to get a better vantage point. He is calling out for Buddy and making sure he doesn’t miss a single stone or leaf where Buddy could be hiding.

Ape Dad is Worried for his techno organic child.

“Buddy! Buddy where are you!?”--Optimus

Rhinox

He wants to be outside with everyone else, but he also knows the importance of being at the base.

Someone needs to be here.

But that doesn’t mean he is restful. Rhinox is constantly on the monitors and checking last night’s footage to try and get any other clue of where Buddy could have gone to.

He is also trying to get in contact with Buddy’s commlink. All he hears is static on the other end.

He is really worried about Buddy’s safety. They are so tiny and the world around them is so big and dangerous.

He has the med bay filled with all of Buddy’s medical equipment just in case the worst happens. Not that he wants it to happen… but better safe than sorry, right?

Rhino friend is worried for his tiny friend.

“Buddy. Buddy come in.”--Rhinox

“…”

“Buddy, do you read.”--Rhinox

“…Where are you, Buddy?”--Rhinox

Cheetor

He was the first one to find that room so empty and that horrid note. He felt so sick to his tanks reading it out loud.

He is so worried about his friend.

He is checking ever place 5 times.

Cheetor is running so fast that he doesn’t even know until Primal has to com him in and tell him not to go too fast. He wants to find Buddy before anyone else.

He knows that the jungle is a dangerous place. He can’t imagine being Buddy’s size against the elements. Cheetor does look around the early human settlement in case he spots Buddy amongst them. Not a single clue.

He is running on pure determination to find Buddy before nighttime.

Little cats’ best friend is out there, and he wants them to come back home.

“Buddy! Buddy! Where are you!? C’mon its time to go home!”--Cheetor

Rattrap and Dinobot

Rattrap is worried.

How does everyone know?

His complaining and whining lack its usual bite.

Being the second smallest Maximal on the team besides Buddy he knows the disadvantages of being the little guy against the world.

Rattrap makes sure to look at every rock and small hole in case Buddy was around somewhere. He also regrets teaching Buddy how to avoid most of the cameras in the base. A bit proud but not right now.

Rat is worried for his friend.

“Kid! Kid! This isn’t funny anymore!”--Rattrap

Dinobot refuses to show that he is worried about Buddy, but he can’t fool everyone.

Rattrap can see it clearly.

While he isn’t the best at finding things, Dinobot is trying to make an effort for Buddy. As the sun starts to set, he starts getting ideas of storming the Predacon base. Who knows if Buddy had been kidnapped the night before?

Dinobot is worried.

“Buddy! This is Dinobot. State your location.”--Dinobot

“…”

“Buddy! State your location!”--Dinobot

Tigatron and Airazor

The pair are searching in the more extreme locations in their sectors.

They have more knowledge of the terrain and are willing to bet that Buddy is going to be the place where they least expect.

Airazor takes the skies, Tigatron prowls on the ground.

Airazor checks each location slowly and carefully making sure that Buddy wasn’t in the area. Tigatron is looking around the steeper areas and darker regions, trying to find Buddy’s signature scent.

No luck.

The pair get worried as the sun begins to set over the horizon.

Big cat and pretty bird are scared for their friend.

“Any luck up there?”--Tigatron

“Nothing up here. Anything down below?”--Airazor

“Not even a footprint…”--Tigatron

Silverbolt and Blackarachnia

They are the ones who find Buddy.

Well, more like Blackarachnia than Silverbolt.

While Silverbolt was searching the skies above the waterfall, Blackarachnia was supposed to look around the water’s edge near its banks.

That when she notices the mini cave mouths near the back end of the falls. If she were on the run and small enough, that would defiantly be a place to look.

She carefully climbs the wet rock wall as Silverbolt flies beneath her in case she slipped, which was sweet of him.

That’s when Blackarachnia spots a familiar body slumped on the cave wall in one of its holes.

“Oh finally! Buddy come out here! It’s getting cold and wet out here!”--Blackarachnia

“…”--Buddy

“Buddy? Buddy this isn’t a joke come on.”--Blackarachnia

“…”--Buddy

“…Buddy?”—Blackarachnia

Carefully she reaches out to Buddy using her long nimble arms and gently grabs Buddy and their bag. She jumps down on Silverbolts back.

Silverbolt is first ecstatic seeing Buddy but quickly turns into worry seeing them so limp and Blackarachnia’s panicky expression.

He is speeding back to the base with Blackarachnia and Buddy on his back coming Rhinox to get the med bay ready that they found Buddy unresponsive.

“Silverbolt to Maximal Base!”--Silverbolt

“Come in Silverbolt.”--Rhinox

“We found Buddy! But they aren’t responding!”--Silverbolt

“Keep calm Silverbolt. Just bring them in. How far are—”--Rhinox

CRASH!

“…Guess they’re here…”--Rhinox

Buddy wakes up groggy and looks around. They aren’t back at the falls; they are at the base. Was the whole running away thing a dream? They try to sit up, but a gentle servo holds them in place. It was Rhinox.

Soon enough the rest of the team came in asking if Buddy was okay and how could they do that that they were so worried especially when they came back to the base unresponsive.

No one is going to tell them that they were just a really heavy sleeper.

Each Maximal expresses their worry and that they don’t care that Buddy was a Techno organic. They belong to this team. They were stuck with them till the bitter end. Buddy by now has happy tears streaming down their face never feeling this much love than in that moment. They promise the team to never pull a stunt like that again. Rhinox does make the team back off wanting to let Buddy sleep and recover, the team hesitantly obliges saying good night as Buddy slowly closes their eyes feeling a swell of love in their chassis and for the first time in a while falls into a peaceful sleep.

Buddy is a calm and sensitive soul. Their beast mode is an armadillo. They tend to be a bit more open minded to some things than Rattrap is.

Rattrap loves his younger sibling to bits… that being said, he has a peculiar way of showing it.

Their dynamic gives off.

No-one-can-hurt-them-but-me vibes.

“Hey Rattrap look at this picture I drew of the flowers this morning!”--Buddy

“Yeah, those are kind of ugly.”--Cheetor

Rattrap being the older sibling is protective of his younger sibling. He doesn't like it when they have to go out on a solo patrols. Not that he would ever admit it. Buddy knows this, of course.

“All righty then. See you in a bit Rattrap.”--Buddy

“Now at this time, at night, all by yourself. Yeah, fat chance bumpy.”--Rattrap

“Woah. Woah. Woah. Where do you think you’re going hot shot?”--Rattrap

“I’m going on patrol.”--Buddy

“Do you want to come then?”--Buddy

“Now why would I want to go on patrol with you? I got stuff to do here in the ship where its safe and warm.”--Rattrap

“Oh, okay then, I guess I can get Cheetor to come.”--Buddy

“Yeah right. And have him reveal your location in 5 seconds. Nope, give me a second to look for my blaster.”--Rattrap

“Thanks, I guess?”--Buddy

“Yeah, don’t mention it. Really don’t mention it.”--Rattrap

Buddy is extremely protective of Rattrap. As much as they don't like or understand much of his way with words, they do not tolerate anyone talking bad about him. Especially the jab is without reasoning. They have been known to defend Rattrap more times than they can count.

“Back off Dinobot!”--Buddy

“What?!”--Dinobot

“He didn’t mean it and that was uncalled for!”--Buddy

“…”--Dinobot

“… Okay maybe he did mean it but still uncalled for!”--Buddy

Unlike Rattrap, buddy will trust almost anyone/ anything. This puts Rattrap in edge every time. He has lost the number of times Buddy has tried to befriend or trust something the Predacons have said. He swears that they will be the death of him one of these days.

“Hey Rattrap! Theres a note from the Predacon’s ‘You can have some Energon goodies if you just come over the ridge. Enjoy!’ Wow, that’s nice of them.”--Buddy

“Buddy, I swear—THE ROPE IS RIGHT THERE HOW—and now your stuck upside down. Again.”--Rattrap

“Help?”--Buddy

“Yeah. Yeah. I got you kid. Primus this has been the 10th time this week.”—Rattrap

The other Maximals find it a bit hard to see Buddy even being remotely related to Rattrap. If anything, Buddy might have been related more to Rhinox than Rattrap. Rattrap knows this an is a bit self-conscious on the topic, not that he talks about it anyways.

“Maybe it’s like how he said that he is related to Arcee?”--Cheetor

“He’s related to who?!”--Dinobot

Optimus appreciates the way Buddy can reign in Rattraps attitude a bit when they are around. Optimus knows that those two have a good bond, a rare one that hasn’t been seen in a while. It’s nice though. Primal has learned not to question the loyalty between the siblings. He once went out on patrol with Buddy and Rattrap where they were ambushed by Waspinator and Terrosaur. Buddy insisted Optimus throw them up to help with the attack. He did it and it sent Rattrap into a small frenzy. When Buddy had gotten back down safely, Rattrap was trying to tear a new one in the leader before rushing over to see if Buddy was okay.

“Throw me!”—Buddy

“Are you sure?”--Optimus

“Absolutely Optimus!”--Buddy

“Wait what?”--Rattrap

“Okay Buddy, get ready!”--Optimus

“Wait what!”--Rattrap

Rhinox knows about the little talks here and there about Buddy being his long-lost sibling instead of Rattraps. He did humor it a bit at first thinking it wasn’t going to be too bad. Buddy had joined in just for good humor too.

But after a bit he doesn’t react too much.

Then he notices how Rattrap acts when the joke is brought up. He does his best to try and make his friend feel better after that. He does like Buddy’s nature and enjoys their little talks when they have the ship to themselves.

“You know Rattrap, Buddy and I’ve been talking.”--Rhinox

“Oh yeah? What about?”--Rattrap

“Buddy was telling me how they were worried about you when you came back late from patrol the other day. They seemed to miss their brother.”--Rhinox

“Oh okay…”--Rattrap

Cheetor doesn’t believe that sweet sensitive Buddy is related to dirty mouth Rattrap. The difference is night and day between those two. How is this possible? Buddy, due to them being younger is probably the closest age to Cheetor. Automatically making the two best friends. They have their own mini adventures from time to time. But no one knows about that. Most of the talking ends up being inside jokes that no one understands.

“Cheetor this isn’t like the Riverbed incident that thing will explode. Don’t use the blow torch this time.”--Buddy

“Oh, okay then. Thanks for the heads up!”--Cheetor

“Riverbed?”--Optimus

“Inccident?”--Rhinox

“Explode?!”—Rattrap

Dinobot wants a DNA test done immediately. He firmly believes that this is some trick that everyone is on. He does respect Buddy, however. Buddy was the first Maximal to greet him with open arms with kindness that he almost forgot existed. Then there’s their brother, Rattrap. The very bane of his existence. The thorn in his side. He can’t connect the dots at all.

“Hi Dinobot!”--Buddy

“Greetings…”--Dinobot

“How’s your day been?”--Buddy

“It’s been well.”--Dinobot

A little later

Rattrap tripping Dinobot with his tail

“Eat  floor Chomperface.”--Rattrap

*Confused and angry Dinobot noises*

Tigatron and Airazor like their teammate. Like many other the others, they don’t quite understand the siblings. But they are more understanding of their dynamics. Due to them being out of the base so much any time with Buddy is cherished. Sometimes they will ‘kidnap’ Buddy from the base to catch up on the latest things with the crew or the ship.

“And what did Dinobot do after that?”--Airazor

“Well Rattrap said he started making frustrated noises after he tripped him.”--Buddy

“I’m sensing something else to the story.”--Tigatron

“Don’t know really, you guys got me out before he told me the rest.”--Buddy

Silverbolt loves Buddy. They are his platonic soulmate. They are his number one in his book of friends because Black arachnia is his number one true love. Its common occurrence to see Buddy with him if they aren’t with Rhinox, Rattrap or Cheetor. Silverbolt asks love advice from Buddy all the time. Whether Buddy is in a relationship or not, they try their best to help their friend.

 Buddy is his wingman for life.

And helps decorate places he wants to bring his love to

Blackarachnia in the beginning was confused by Buddy’s entire existence. Time and time again when she was with the Predacon’s Buddy would offer her a place within the Maximal ranks. Not matter what she threw verbally or physically, Buddy was stubborn in getting her to join. When she did join, thanks to Silverbolt, she was quite jealous of Buddy’s relationship with the Maximal.

She would never admit it though.

It would be until Silverbolt mentioned how Buddy helped pick the venue and some decorations for their definitely not date, that she would ease up on the Maximal.

“You really care about him don’t you.”--Buddy

“…Yeah, I guess I do.”—Black arachnia

“Good! Now remember, no one will find you if you hurt him.”--Buddy

“What?!”—Black arachnia

“I have some energon goodies, you want some?”--Buddy

“… Yes?...”—Black arachnia

Primus help the poor soul that makes Buddy cry.
