There was something to be said about how a bunch of people just randomly got together to create such an interesting and dramatic storyline. One that, though technically had an ending, left so much to explore and understand. All we really have left is memories and untapped potential.

everyone on this app yaps about bad media being better for fandoms but dsmp’s untapped and forever unexplored or poorly explored potential and general themes of attachment, grief and childhood and the fact that so much of it was accidental or improvised and the tight knit community that fell apart in less than two years makes it, in my humble and objective opinion, the single most haunting fandom i’ve ever been in. if you even care. clings to everyone like cobwebs i mean just look at all the sleeper agents and old urls that are posting about tonight lol YOU CAN’T ESCAPE

it’s voice is so beautiful and otherworldly, it’s actually been used as a descriptor for the buddha’s voice, and even preaches the buddha’s teachings in some stories, so i wouldn’t be surprised if kuukou’s saying what stands before you last is the buddha lol

having emotions is so embarrassing ISTG. as expected, I quickly ended up taking that guy I mentioned idealizing off the pedestal because he said something that I didn't like (not anything morally wrong, but just an "ick" sorta thing), but now I'm suddenly a bit attracted to him ☹️

because he was talking about his love life and he has more in common with My favorite character than I thought?

like, not only does he have the vaguely similar voice, but he's also overly dedicated to his work? in a way that limits his capacity for romantic relationships?? and his ideals for romance are so similar to the character's that he damn near quoted him???

I know I'll just devalue him sooner than later but it makes Me feel so pathetic that My auti-aromanticism can be expanded to include real people who merely resemble My special interests, just like that. to know that I'm so malleable that a pretty voice and endearing worldview would get Me feeling any type of way.

it's not even that I believe feeling attracted to people easily is necessarily pathetic, but just that I DON'T do that. this isn't even an "oh I don't fall for people because I'm scared to" thing, I've literally been A-spec My entire life and never ever even once felt attracted to someone I knew, even in the most fleeting, "huh, that was weird" sense of the word.

I know this almost definitely means nothing and I'll be over it in anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. plus, even if I'm not, nothing will come of it: he's too old for Me + not interested in long-distance + not looking for a relationship right now at all + already waiting to potentially settle down with someone else when he has the time.

but it doesn't matter if this lasts or if I act on it or anything like that. it's just necessarily humiliating to Me to feel this way at all.
