First Snow and Night 2nd litter coming soon?? I know obviously story wise no b/c like Night baby having another litter ain't going to fix shit. Go bond with your already here kids. But, what I'm thinking, one moon, the pregnancy thing was rolled between the two in the game, and this is your way of it making sense story wise (manifesting another litter rn for anybody)

Having anxiety and struggling to tell people, especially when things are "supposed to be fine" and everything is finally ok (chronic overthinker and worry about bad things happening when shi finally good over here). Or even more so when you've been through a lot and know how to fix it, but unfortunately shit happens and you feel guilty for "regressing." Like ahhh it's so hard to tell someone you need help when you beat yourself up over it but you just gotta push through that anxiety/uncomfyness and tell someone. Like genuinely Mallow so me coded arghhhhh

AND FINALLY THE HORRORS??? LOSTCLAW WHO ARE YOU??? Like genuinely, I feel like I'm reading a horror novel, and I feel the anxiety and stress of these characters. Also I JUST LOVE SPIRITS AND GHOSTS!!! This point in the story is just reminding me of countless haunted places in the world of people who visit/work there recounting all the scary and weird shit that happens. Feel like I'm watching videos of ghost explorers visiting a haunted place but having no clue it's haunted/what's going on. Like I'm so excited the story is going this way even though everyone will be put through the horrors (just the sacrifice that had to be made 😔😔).

This moon was Snowspeckle’s moon 1000%. I’m trying to give each member a lil more fleshing out since the main focus has been on Wolf a lot lately. I wanted to show her conflict with the idea of pregnancy and giving birth again with Bluemoon being a subtle showoff. Also I threw in Sunpaw bc I feel like I don’t stress this enough, but Snow wouldn’t have been made deputy in any other clan. Artisans and mediators are almost never deputies or leaders. When she first joined Saltclan she wasn’t a good fighter or a strong hunter, but she improved to help her clan. She worked even harder after being made deputy to prove she can do both roles. She deaerves all the flowers for her growth.

Mallow’s scene I kinda threw in last minute, but I felt his nervousness should’ve been addressed sooner. Also in my own life I was feeling a lot of anxiety, so writing the scene was easy. I wanted to incorporate how the clan would treat mental health, Saltclan of course being very accommodating. I also just like throwing in herbs (that are cat safe) and flexing some medical knowledge lol

As for The Horrors, I’m genuinely so surprised and happy that y’all liked it. I’m relying on a lot of ‘fear of the unknown’ with the clan and trying not to drop too much info at once. Lostclaw’s backstory was already written and completed before moon 10 btw. I wouldn’t consider myself a horror expert but I do pull from thriller literature. I like most books by Steve Cavanagh and Gillian Flynn, and I love BuzzFeed Unsolved/Ghost Files on YouTube. The only true horror book I own (and like) is ‘We live inside you’ MAJOR trigger warnings on that book. It’s a great read but it’s intense, it’s a series of short stories and probably the most amount of gore I’ll tolerate in a book before I just put it down.

I’m so glad y’all liked moon 16, it took me a while bc work is very stressful and my fav coworker transferred to another clinic. But I still have the Longest Day Festival to post, I’m trying to get a lil snap shot of each cat’s feelings to the current situation.

More infos on Revival Rounds

After this Round ends we'll have a short hiatus from the main tournament for 4 one-day revival rounds. We will start with the losers of round 1 of the main tournament and work up from there until 4 characters comes on top and join the competition. It will be organised like this:

Round 1: 4 polls of 8 (32 round 1 losers)

-> top 2 of each poll go up (8 total)

Round 2: 4 polls of 6 (16 round 2 losers + 8)

-> top 2 of each poll go up (8 total)

Round 3: 4 polls of 4 (8 round 3 losers + 8)

-> top 2 of each poll go up (8 total)

Round 4: 4 polls of 3 (4 round 4 losers + 8)

-Flynns initial interest in Rose was actually cause of curiousity... hearing some sources as NRC that said Rose just appeared kind of out of knowwhere, so he used his usual charm in hope to get info...

-This changed later cause he enjoyed too much the reactions and did find them pretty in general... I think given Flynn is a person who also uses nicknames it started as Rose of Dawn, to just Rose and if they would be a couple... probably Beryl mainly cause Flynn calls his partners after gemstones

-Has the habit of carrying them of out of knowhere sometimes just to have some alone time

-Given he is much taller... Flynn would likely often be fond of just kissing their forehead or hand when he doesn't want to lean down much.

Rubinas past

Rubina is the daughter of two famous rich actors and so has a reputation to keep. She met Flynn as a kid when he was a poor boy on the streets and was interested in him. She even offered him to join her family, but given he couldn’t take Nanoya with him he refused.

Since then she always wondered why and visited him again a year later… where she got scammed by him. Since then she sees him as his adversary. Her uncle is a detective and inspired her a lot mainly cause he also was more of a father than her own one which is why her wish is to become a detective, however as she came to HSA instead of being send to Destopia, she was chosen to be in Polisionalle, where she met Flynn again and wasn’t too happy to see him again, especially as dorm leader. She has the goal to overthrow him and catch him in his shady acts. However Flynn always calls her his Ruby and so embarrasses her. 

She is fond of Nanoya, because he keeps order, however given she approaches him so casually, Nanoya usually panics when she comes near.

She has a strong sense of Justice and hopes that she can be a person that helps others, but in school when she does combat, she can be seen to have a violent streak that enjoys fighting. 

Throughout the Polisionalle story, she will be out for Flynns roles and also be a prime suspect for Flynn in the sabotage accusations. Flynn masks his emotions but sometimes around Rubina they kinda crack. 

Funniest I could imagine if they have to perform Romeo and Juliette and Rubina curses everything.

[I know what you're thinking -- and the answer is NOPE. THIS IS NOT A REPOST. THIS IS THE ACTUAL THIRD UPDATE (count 'em, THREE!!) in less than a month!! WOOPAH!!!] Tangled Just Before Ever After Chapter 4: Down the Hatch Current word count: 10103 Chapter 4 Summary: How in the world does Eugene answer Rapunzel's question??? Can the author manage to eek out yet another chapter from within the Tower??? WILL OUR COUPLE EVER GET BACK TO CORONA?!? S0ooOoo MANY qUeStiONs!!11!!

Eugene gulped hard several times; the silence stretched a bit too thin between his forthcoming answer and Rapunzel’s question. Eugene could feel that old standby instinct of wanting to lie through his teeth threatening to take over. But this was Rapunzel before him…. And this much he’d learned by now; if an honest woman confronts you about your past hookups, you should level with her. Though Eugene would've told Rapunzel whatever she wished to know, no matter when she chose to ask. After he’d been exploited for so many years by the likes of Stalyan and the Baron, Eugene had reached a breaking point fairly early on where he couldn’t bring himself to seduce the innocent anymore. He’d never liked doing that in the first place since it made him feel cheap, sleazy, and just all-out gross. Even grifters had to draw the line somewhere. It was yet another reason why he’d left Stalyan.

Eugene also knew that if he had to start running interference regarding his past during his first day as Eugene Fitzherbert the gentleman ….then he’d have to keep lying forever afterward….just like Flynn had. And Eugene was simply tired -- no, exhausted -- from all of the running, running, running. Flynn Rider had been on the move ever since he ditched the orphanage before his 10th year all those years ago. No more running, Eugene resolved. Even if leveling with the princess means she wants me out of the picture, so be it. She deserves to hear the truth from the source.

“Rapunzel….” Eugene began delicately, “the short answer to your question -- I’m sorry to say -- is far too many. But I’m requesting that we put a bookmark in that answer; we’ll circle back around to finish it.” Eugene nearly lost his nerve to continue after seeing the crestfallen look in Rapunzel’s eyes. He instead busied himself by locating the ring-shaped pull embedded in the trapdoor of the floor. After tugging on it, he noticed it wouldn’t budge. Without prompting, Rapunzel volunteered further information, explaining how when the princess was still little, Gothel always made her go up to the loft before she opened the trapdoor for her trips away. The crone never wanted the girl to figure out how to operate it. Thus Rapunzel said, “But you’re good at finding your way out of places. I figured you could make the mechanism work -- even without having seen Gothel’s trick to unlatching it.”

No sooner had Rapunzel said the word “unlatching” when a sharp click-THUNK issued from the floor. “Found it,” announced a smirking Eugene, as he moved the toe of his boot off of the otherwise camouflaged mechanism. He couldn’t help feeling a little smug after having effectively outthought that diabolical dead woman….again. The young man repositioned himself to again tug the metal ring and sure enough, the trapdoor swung open this time.

“After you,” said Eugene, gallantly gesturing Rapunzel down the next set of stairs.

“If only I had met you sooner,” Rapunzel said wistfully, as she shook her head. She’d tried to find that hidden mechanism in the floor for years. Eugene had discovered and figured out how to disarm it in mere seconds.

Eugene could not help his contrite chuckle. “Rapunzel, if we had met sooner -- even one year earlier, I doubt I ever could’ve left this place the first time. But it would’ve been for an entirely different reason.”

“Oh, yeah?” Rapunzel challenged, an unexpected edge to her voice. She folded her arms and demanded, “And what’s that?”

“Well, for starters,” said Eugene, his voice becoming far more subdued, “you never would’ve reached the fateful decision to enter a trust agreement with the kingdom’s most disreputable scoundrel. I mean….how could you?” Eugene pondered softly. “Especially based on the faulty info you’d been given about the world in general, you wouldn’t have had a reason yet to take the chance on our deal. Gothel’s control freakishness….hadn’t yet pushed you to the brink. Instead, she would’ve come home, you would’ve had no choice but to tell her that you’d caught me breaking in, and….well….”

“Don’t say that,” Rapunzel abruptly cut him off, abandoning her walk down the stairs, instead rushing over to grab Eugene’s free hand. “Don’t you ever say that,” she admonished, eyes wide. “Even if you had remained a perfect rogue stranger to me, Eugene Fitzherbert, I never would’ve wanted that old crone to hurt you on purpose. And especially not like... this,” finished Rapunzel, once more stretching her palm and pressing it against the jagged bloody tear in his doublet. A renewed ember of hope sparked inside him. And before he knew it, Rapunzel was apologizing, of all things!

“I….I’m sorry I put you on the spot that way regarding, ah, any prior relationships. It wasn’t fair of me to throw something like that on you so suddenly.” Meekness overtook Rapunzel and she looked at the floor, absently tracing out an invisible half-circle with her big toe. “Besides,” she confessed, “I only did it to distract you from my own awkwardness. But….but you kept…..insisting I should tell you what was bothering me since you are trustworthy.” Eugene was swift and carefully set the trapdoor down with the hinge open outward. He also briefly removed and set down his satchel.

The anxious young man went directly to Rapunzel with open arms but halfway through the motion thought that perhaps he shouldn’t, because Eugene didn’t want her to feel obligated to reciprocate. So the keyed-up man kept his fingers curled into his palms rather than reach out, and he kept his arms from raising above waist height. He was half-frozen, trying earnestly not to telegraph what he truly wished to do.

Eugene’s own thumbs must’ve betrayed him, though, as they involuntarily flexed, splaying outward from his balled fists. Rapunzel approached him and briefly gazed into his eyes with a hint of smile behind her own. She proceeded to lean over and take each of his hands, in turn, and tenderly kiss each errant thumb, in turn. Yet any embarrassment Eugene felt over her keen perception would soon melt away. For the princess took his left wrist and placed his arm over her right shoulder, took his right wrist and guided his arm around her waist, and then she mirrored the gesture with her own arms around him. The pair had briefly stopped their world to oh-so-carefully melt deeply into each other. After some time, they briefly broke their embrace. Rapunzel drew her arms in and criss-crossed her upper body with them, tucking in right up against Eugene’s chest. This allowed the sweet young man to attentively draw the princess into himself so tightly, nearly tight enough for him to wrap his arms around her twice as he buried his entire face into her silken hair. Each time they embraced….Eugene was simply floored with just how perfectly they “fit” one another; she could nestle comfortably and flush against his own shape, creating a head-to-toe highway of warmth and love.

Eventually, contented humming issued from Rapunzel’s throat. “I’ve never felt this safe before,” she murmured in awe, her face still pillowed against Eugene’s chest. “Nobody’s ever held me like this before either.” This realization had moved the princess to tears. Eugene leisurely placed a ring of popcorn kisses around the crown of her head in effort to soothe. “Dearest Sunshine of mine,’ he whispered into her hair, “I can promise you there’s so much more where that came from…..” and he was able to draw her imperceptibly closer into himself.

Soon moisture pricked the corners of his own eyes, for Eugene had a similar epiphany to Rapunzel’s. In all his years of relative isolation on the run, Rider never once allowed himself to partake in anything on this type of intimacy level. He’d always been keen to its existence, though. And he knew it was so much deeper and more meaningful than sex. And being the secretly sensitive person Eugene was, it was something he furtively craved but couldn’t bring himself to put that type of expectation upon another human being, knowing the unfavorable lifestyle he led.

And here this fractured thief managed to get caught up within a perfect healing ray of sunlight….and she was willing to take him on along with all his demons, even without knowing the full story in advance. And boy, did he ever have more than his fair share of demons. In spite of himself, Eugene had to say it again. “Sunshine…..I don’t deserve you.”

He immediately heard a tiny huff of impatience from her. “Eugeeeeeene,” Rapunzel overemphasized with mild vexation, “deserving or not, I’ve chosen you. You are forever my new dream. So….so start acting like it….please?” she implored, gazing at him with wide-open concerned eyes. Even her pep talk to him had proven about as rough and tumble as dandelion fluff.

“For you, Sunshine.” Eugene caressed her cheek. “It’ll be a struggle for awhile….but I will no longer speak of ‘deserving to have you.’ I shall instead focus on ‘building new dreams with you’.”

“Thank you,” Rapunzel said gratefully. “It….just….hurts me to see you thinking so much less of yourself due to circumstances now beyond your control.” She slipped her hand into Eugene’s own. And it was that moment he finally found an opening to finish what he started.

“Circling back to the bookmark in our conversation…. Rapunzel…. Ever since the first time you chose to address me as Eugene, everything...the past few days...has been unlike anything I’ve ever felt or experienced with any woman before. It’s all new….all of it. So many firsts already. Nonetheless, you still have every right to ask me about whomever I’ve been with prior to when we met. And while I do intend to eventually tell you about those encounters -- if that’s what you want -- you should also be aware that for me, Eugene Fitzherbert, it’s still a little too soon to openly discuss much of anything just yet. But I will try for your sake, if that’s what you need.” He briefly bowed his head, his eyelids automatically sliding shut.

Rapunzel was so fleet-footed that Eugene had not heard her change positions to where she grabbed his satchel, immediately encouraged Eugene to open his eyes and to help a struggling Pascal who was now lugging a forgotten cast-iron frying pan, and she started down the steps at long last. That was….abrupt, Eugene thought to himself. If Rapunzel was perpetually so talented at keeping him on his toes, then he’d best get himself some better boots -- and soon!

“You okay?” asked Eugene, just to make sure. He grabbed the brass ring of the trapdoor and just before he closed it…..he looked around the Tower one last time. He knew that he should feel the most ominous and terrified that he’d ever felt, especially upon glimpsing his own bloodstain on the floor. But something…..someone was protecting him. And even though he was neither superstitious nor believed in ghosts, once in awhile he would privately allow himself the indulgence of conjuring up invented people and imagery from his past. Fleetingly an image of who could only be his mother comes to mind; it was her spirit that must’ve been shielding him from the worst of today’s trauma, he decided. Thank you, he mouths the words to a seemingly empty Tower, pulling the trapdoor tight shut forever.....

“I’m more than okay,” Rapunzel replied enthusiastically, as she made her way down the dingy spiral staircase. “Who cares about past relationships when you can tell me about all of those firsts you just mentioned instead?”

Eugene almost -- almost -- laughed aloud with relief. Here he had been so worried about past relationship questions when Rapunzel instead wanted to be told all about the present. Three days, and this was the only thing he’d come across so far in which Rapunzel was anything like any other woman he’d met. And Eugene was more than happy to indulge her need to know just how special she had become to him and why.

Leah.  She’s dealing with so much pain, physically and emotionally, and it’s not surprising that it gets to be overwhelming.  Flynn will usually wrap her up in his arms to keep her cozy and safe, holding her and stroking her hair until the pain becomes a little more bearable or until she falls asleep.

Leah by default.  Flynn is basically never self conscious about anything.

Depending on the context and the mistake in question, they both might.  Flynn is a bit more likely though.

Flynn and the ‘Murder Castle’

Once Again Flynn is Not a Villain (He’s Just Trash)

So, I was ranting at a friend the other night, as one does, and in the middle of this I suddenly remembered something about H.H. Holmes.

Yes, that H.H. Holmes.

See, I was actually going to be a historian once upon a time (le gasp) and one of the things that I did was I was a morbid little fucker and I just about devoured any biography or info on historical psychos that I could get my hands on.

I’d like to note, for the sake of people worrying for my sanity, that I also studied Ancient Egypt, the Vikings, and the American Revolution, just to name a few interests so I wasn’t entirely a budding psychopath but anyway. Blame my aunt and uncle for gifting me Horrible Histories when I was eight.

So when I was eleven (yes you read that right) I got my hands on my grandmother’s copy of Devil in the White City and proceeded to do a fuck ton of research on H.H. Holmes. And in my idiocy, something I completely forgot about all my research until just the other day was that H.H. Holmes wasn’t known as an indiscriminate murderer.

Later reports have greatly exaggerated how many people he murdered, saying he killed up to 200 people, but the original body count and the one that we can for certain verify is about 20 some-odd people. And of his many victims, the overwhelming majority of them were young women.

Holmes did in fact construct his hotel, that has come to be known as the Murder Castle, and he did murder a few guests in there. Easy enough during the shockingly busy Chicago World’s Fair. However, Holmes did not prefer to kill people this way.

What Holmes did was he was a real charmer (described as handsome with bright blue eyes) who would seduce lonely women who came to stay at the hotel for the fair, convince them to marry him (he was married to multiple women at once) and then have them sign huge life insurance policies over to him... then kill them.

This was really easy to do at the time because a) the state of police investigations at the time, don’t think I need to get further into that, b) these women had no relatives nearby and so letters took forever to reach their relatives which meant it took forever to realize they’d stopped writing and c) tons of people went missing during the fair. It was a madhouse in Chicago. Holmes easily and smoothly lied to anyone who came looking for a missing girl, saying she’d gone out to the fair and hadn’t returned, and a lot of the time the victim’s relatives didn’t even know about the marriage until much later. A lot of the women also signed their life insurance policies over not to Holmes but to one of Holmes’ aliases, which sent police chasing after a man who didn’t exist, some other fellow who’d done the vile deed.

The only confirmed male victim of Holmes was his partner in crime Benjamin Pitezel, a man who assisted Holmes in many of his schemes and who Holmes later murdered for the life insurance policy they’d taken out of his life (Holmes also murdered three of the man’s children).

The majority of the people who stayed in the ‘Murder Castle’ stayed without incident and left just fine. In fact the people from whom Holmes bought the property lived long and happy lives. Holmes was a vicious serial killer and I’m not denying that, but unlike how he’s portrayed in 1x11 on Timeless, he didn’t just gas and capture every single guest or even random guests. He specifically preyed upon helpless women, got them to their rooms at the hotel, gassed them, and took them downstairs from there once they’d signed their lives away to him for large sums fo money.

So, where does Flynn come in with that?

Flynn obviously knows about Holmes and is the kind of man who does his research. He knows who the members of Rittenhouse are in Chicago and where and when they’re meeting, for example. The journal can’t tell him everything, so you can bet he uses that as a springboard for his own research. He’s a team leader, an expert at a guerrilla warfare, and a strategist. He’s not going to do anything half-assed even if his plans have a habit of blowing up in his face.

That means Flynn knows what Holmes targets vulnerable young women, usually homely ones who will be easily swayed by flattery (historical fact, Holmes targeted quote ‘plain’ girls). He doesn’t target two men who can fight him back a lot more easily. And he’s not going to just gas two guys for no reason when he has women he can get tens of thousands of dollars of insurance money from. Wyatt and Rufus do not fit Holmes’ profile and are, therefore, presumably safe.

So why does Flynn send Wyatt and Rufus to the Murder Castle?

Because Wyatt and Rufus are going to get there and who are they going to run into?

Family members looking for missing women.

Wyatt and Rufus are good men, and they’re smart enough to smell a rat when there’s a dead one rotting around under the floorboards. Flynn’s plan wasn’t to straight up murder Wyatt and Rufus, it was to distract them by giving them a clear case of Something Rotten and have their hero mode kick in.

In fact, I posit that Flynn wanted Wyatt and Rufus to think that Holmes had Lucy.

Wyatt and Rufus go into the Murder Castle knowing Flynn’s been there. They hear about young women going missing. The name of the hotel pings something in their minds but they don’t know what. They interview family members and learn the women were last seen here.

And it clicks for them--there’s a serial killer in this hotel, and Flynn’s left Lucy there to be his prey!

Cue frantic detective work from our two heroes while Flynn and Lucy have their trash date.

Timeless annoyed the heck of me this episode (and annoyed the heck out of @captainofthefallen when she rewatched it with me because I would not Shut the Fuck Up about the historical inaccuracies and guessed every single plot twist) with Holmes because it’s wildly historically inaccurate. Holmes never pretended to be a victim along with the people he’d trapped, he didn’t hold them in a dungeon and allow them the chance to escape, and he didn’t target men.

Also he had a huge mustache but anyway.

Holmes’ capture of Lucy at the end of the episode and the box he puts her in are the historically accurate part. That’s what he did to victims. Lucy fits his victim profile (although I doubt anyone would be stupid enough to call her ‘plain’ or ‘homely’). Flynn had every reason to believe that Wyatt and Rufus would be relatively safe given Holmes’ M.O. and would instead be wasting their time chasing him down thinking he had Lucy.

And, y’know, ridding the world of a serial killer while they were at it.

This isn’t an example of Flynn setting Wyatt and Rufus up to die horribly. He’s setting them up on a wild goose chase and to get rid of an awful man and it backfires on Flynn when Holmes breaks with his M.O. and decides to gas Wyatt and Rufus and kill them instead. Flynn had no way of knowing Holmes would do that--that’s the downfall of serial killers, they always stick to their pattern even when they should change it up to avoid being caught--and so once again he’s tried to put out a fire with a bucket of water and ends up throwing gasoline on it instead.

Flynn probably figured Wyatt and Rufus would investigate, realize what was going on, go on a frantic chase for Lucy, find Holmes’ lair under the hotel, overpower Holmes, kill or turn him into the police, and search for Lucy only to find she wasn’t there. Risk of danger still but a minimal one, and certainly not the ‘mwahaha they’ve walked right into a trap’ scenario that actually played out.

“But what if Holmes thought Wyatt and Rufus were private investigators or police when they started asking questions!” you cry. Good question. Holmes was in fact questioned by family, private investigators, and police about the missing women. He never killed any of them and instead sent them on their way with false information about where the women had gone next. It was simply too risky to kill a member of law enforcement or someone who had connections with law enforcement, or to kill the family member of a previous victim.

Now, I get that maybe the Timeless writers didn’t care about any of this and wrote the episode the way they did because HIGH STAKES DRAMA, le gasp, but you can’t avoid history in a show about time travel, buckos. And history isn’t going to change to fit your dramatic 50 minute TV episode.

Wyatt and Rufus do not fit the profile for Holmes’ victims, and Holmes did not trap his victims in the way shown in the show. Flynn was a good researcher who would have known this. Ergo, Flynn did not actually set Wyatt and Rufus up to be quickly and horribly murdered, he set them up to go on a wild goose chase after Lucy when she was really safe with Flynn the whole time and he could get on with his business without interruption.

Because Flynn consistently, throughout the show, tries to inconvenience the time team. He ties them up in 1x06, he strands them in 1x07, etc. But he doesn’t actually ever make plans to kill them. It’s the same thing here: his goal is to inconvenience, not kill. It’s just that he put a bit too much faith in the behavior of a literal psychopath and Flynn, honey, really? Peak trash.

One more thing. You might be wondering why Holmes didn’t actually kill every guest who stayed in his hotel.

...because nothing is more obvious than having every or almost every guest in your hotel die and also that’s bad for business. Duh. Holmes was a psycho, not a dumbass.

GOOD THINGS FOR APRIL 12TH, 2019: I wound up being late with these because Star Wars Celebration is happening and that’s really sucked up what free time I have!  In honor of that, have some Star Wars fun things!

Day 1 Live Stream of Star Wars Celebration all in one place.  While there’s not a ton of new info or announcements, the big news was the teaser trailer, it was still fun to watch a bunch of it!

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker teaser trailer!  I have to hand it to SW, I fully expected to watch the teaser trailer and feel nothing, the ST isn’t really my jam, or even to outright hate it.  And I’m still fully convinced that TROS is going to RUIN STAR WARS FOREVER, but goddamn that was an excellent teaser trailer.  Everyone LOOKS SO GOOD, the locations look fantastic, and THAT ENDING, the fandom has absolutely exploded and it’s been amazing, I HAVEN’T HAD THIS MUCH FUN AS A SW FAN IN A LONG TIME.

Kelly Marie Tran and JJ Abrams interview.  The three best things about the IX panel were: THE TEASER TRAILER, the concept art shots, and having KMT come out and get a standing ovation.  To have that carried through when she goes out for her The Star Wars Show interview, that they’re still cheering for her, after all that she faced, was incredible and wonderful and heart-warming to see.

Star Wars - Jedi: Fallen Order trailer!  Oh, even if they mess up my Jedi babes and the Jedi lore/philosophy, even if I’m disappointed by having yet another white dude as the lead character (assuming we don’t have character customization/creation), I’m still going to sob my way through this game and all the feelings it’ll give me.  Also, INQUISITORS OMG.

Star Wars - Vader Immortal trailer!  If nothing else, I at least want a playthrough of this because Maya Rudolph’s droid looks delightful and I want to know the story!

More Galaxy of Adventures shorts!  :D   R2-D2 - A Pilot's Best Friend,  Han Solo vs. the Space Slug, and Darth Vader vs. the Rebel Fleet.  All a bunch of fun with some really cool animation--those shots of the flames reflected in Vader’s lenses was especially incredible.

GOOD THINGS FOR APRIL 13TH, 2019:

Fruits Basket episode 2!  I haven’t finished it yet (I’m watching it as I gif the hell out of it) but I’ve been enjoying the new anime so much, I love that it has a different feel from the first anime (which I still love very much), that there’s a heavier feeling here, you can tell how the show is much, much more aware of the characters’ upcoming arcs, how so many things are hanging over their heads, in a way that I really like.  It’s not adding a lot of necessarily new stuff, but it’s really enjoyable to see it in lovely animation and to get to experience the story all over again, knowing how it comes out and so enjoying the journey on the way there.

Sharp Objects is a show that I’ve been meaning to watch for awhile, since I read the book a few years back (and I think it’s probably my favorite of Gillian Flynn’s books--or maybe the one that frustrated me the least) and I was wondering how the TV adaptation went.  I’m only one episode in so far, but I’m enjoying it a lot.  I’m really glad they aged Amma up and so far the actors are all doing a really great job and I’m rolling around in my love of complicated, messy, not always nice female characters.

My comfort shows having new episodes!  Bob’s Burgers!  Buzzfeed Unsolved - The Unexplained Murder of Bugsy Siegel! Killing Eve! The Good Fight! My Little Pony!  And Game of Thrones is finally coming back!

okay so i've been gone for... a bit. But it's cause I have a hyperfixation on this fuckin' cod oc that I made cause my friend also made one that is his special interest and we wanted them to be gay and we wanted to rp them. so yeah, that's where i've been and thats where i'm at. Okay, so i assume cause i'm doing this my friend will post his as well, so im gonna mostly focus on fly (his life) and his relationship with shark.

DISCLAIMER: we fucked these guys up, like big time, they are so mega traumatized and not just cause of the military. a lot of the stuff in fly's backstory is stuff i have experience with but honestly he just kept getting more fucked up over time cause the issues kept building on eachother and woof. damn. anyway, tw for sh, suicide, addiction, and just like, unhealthy shit.

Pt 1. FLY

okay so, his name isn't actually fly, its Jamie Flynn but that's his callsign. The callsign came from 3 things, his speed/difficulty when it comes to getting caught, his perspective on situations is a lil different, and his last name is Flynn so its that shortened.

RAPID FIRE INFO: Alright, so he's irish, hes got the ginger goin on cause i had to yk. he was raised in Dublin but his voiceclaim is hozier (normal speaking voice) cause i cannot be that stingy about accents rn. He is currently a Sergeant in the 141, youngest member according to hc and canon calculations. He's 25 and only recently joined, prior to that he was in the Irish military from the end of highschool till now. He's gay, he's cis, he has ADHD, he had a rough childhood (we'll get into that later), he is also 1 inch taller than ghost (6'5") and he's a demolition's expert amogst other stuff.

TRAUMA SHIT - so he has more recent issues but i'll start from the beginning, growing up he was in a not terrible family but his parents mostly ignored him and he sort of raised himself most of the time. He didn't have a ton of friends but he did have one named Ben. now, the issues REALLY kick in when he witnessed Ben get shot. This fucked him up and he didn't really have a support system and his parents weren't involved in his life so that grief and confusion and loneliness just sort of manifested as anger and poor behavior. he got in a lot of fights in highschool, he was a really tall kid back then but he got his ass beat a lot and his parents just made it worse cause they didn't want to deal with him and just yelled at him and stuff for it. eventually this became larger, criminal problems. he did do some drugs in highschool but nothing super super serious, but he did start hotwiring cars and going on joyrides, which got him arrested at the ripe old age of 16. His parents had just had his twin brothers at this point and didn't want him around or have to deal with him anymore after this so they passed him off to a family friend named Sean who was actually really good to Jamie. The first few months were rough and it almost seemed to get better but then Jamie's parents disowned him fr and he realized he was never going to be with his family before and it broke him. and here's were that tw comes in cause he did attempt by overdose. after that his relationship with sean improved, he went to therapy, he started boxing as an outlet, and he improved. He was by no means perfect, he was a C average student in school and he still got into fights but not nearly as frequent as before.

tldr: he's got abandonment issues, anxiety, depression stuff, and he turned out sort of okay? maybe? no that's a lie, you'll see.

MILITARY AND MORE TRAUMA - He joined the military out of highschool and after he had been there for a bit he decided to try training for demolitions cause Sean did construction demolitions and he always found it interesting. all was well for a while untill when he was 19 there was an exercise and things went VERY poorly, another trainee's device went off behind Jamie, it killed the trainee and left fly with a lot of very severe burns and scars on his back and other injuries that left him in a hospital for a few weeks. This left him out of commision for a while but he picked up again 6 months later and got back right where he left off, unfortunately he had developed a new issue. Oxycontin. it was perscribed to him for the pain during his recovery and they never stopped his prescrption because of his claims of long lasting pain. he was absolutely an addict for a couple years but he tried to quit and now while he still does take it, it is far less frequent and generally only when hes having some really really bad mental health issues, unfortunatley it does mean he combines it with alcohol. Anyway, he continued where he left off (just with some more issues) rising the ranks and gaining a rep until eventually he was recruited by the 141 task force.

Now how does all of this trauma affect him today? - welp. he doesnt maintain any close relationships, hasn't taken off his shirt in front of another person (unless forced or sedated) for 6 years, he has some pretty major anxiety problems, abuses substances to get through his hard times, severe intrusive thoughts, and has some genuinely awful intimacy/attachment problems. by that i mean he is still a virgin, never had a serious romantic relationship and keeps anyone (even sean) at an arms length. this includes shark, at least for some time.

see, he panics and has severe anxiety about allowing himself to get close to anyone, mostly cause he's got some past experiences that convince him that they'll leave again. so lets get into Shy.

SHY (shark and fly)

Shark, or Andy Lane, is another member of the 141, hes 29 and a Lieutenant. He is much closer with soapghost and everyone else in the 141 and has been there for a lot longer and has a romantic/platonic relationship with soapghost as well. He's autistic and hes got a lot of problems. he also has a service dog named Thresher who fly loves. anyway, so right off the bat, their relationship is gonna be genuinely awful for a very long time. We rp this, so no specific outcome is guaranteed but, yeah things are gonna be really bad i'm not gonna lie to you. they both have so many problems that collide in the worst ways possible. Fly has abandonment issues, Shark pulls away when things get super bad. Shark avoids his relationship problems, Fly cannot let things slide. Both of them are very secretive about their problems and its just not a healthy relationship.

So whats happened so far? well, honestly not a ton ig, they met, got off on the wrong foot cause Shark doesn't do well with unexpected meetings. they flirted a little bit, trained a tiny bit together, and then got sent on a really short mission. after that they sort of just saw eachother around, found out that both of them refuse to shower unless they're alone in the showers, and that's sort of it for the first couple months. After that they got sent on a extended mission, not goin into details of it cause truth is we just wanted to make them live in a house together for an extended period of time cause otherwise they prob wouldn't get to know eachother very much. so we put them in this house, they have a bunch of funny little quirks in their friendship that i'll talk about sometime in the future, and yeah. They chill. at one point fly gets a lil high on the weed and shark flirts with him which was a terrible plan cause it just makes fly a bit gay for shark. Then they watch the conjuring and fly is surprisingly terrible with horror movies so shark makes fun of him and then lets fly hold his hand for the rest of the movie which is cute. (this is just about as wholesome as their relationship has gotten/will get) and then more recently they went to a bar together, shark flirted with some people and a very drunk fly got real jealous and then they had a little confrontation in the bathroom and fly ended up kissing him :D so after that happened they talked about it a super tiny bit and then left it for weeks cause fly didnt know what to do and he was sort of confused by the whole thing. now, MOST RECENTLY and ongoing, fly was acting weird and shark noticed, he got defensive and then shark demanded some sort of explanation for why he was being a dick. fly sort of broke down and started getting really freaked out by the whole thing cause he genuinely has no idea how he feels about it and how to move forward. anyway, he cries, tells shark whats goin on, and shark talks to him, then flirts with him, then kisses him, and now they're making out in the kitchen. both of them trying not to freak out. So we have an outline, but i figure ill just give a monthly update on them or something cause this post is SO LONG OMG.

Destati High Kairi moved to Destati as a child because her father had been running for Mayor & got elected. There was a rumor around Kairi & her family's arrival though. People have said they moved here because Kairi was in serious danger & had been kidnapped. Kairi discounted this rumor though & said she was never kidnapped. But Kairi could never figure out why that rumor started & wondered if it there was some sort of truth to it. At the start of the school year, Kairi was dating Dereck, who continuously tried to make sexual advances on her, which she declined every time, & he started making her feel uncomfortable. This being her first boyfriend & Kairi being a hopeless romantic, she starts to realize the kind of relationship she really wants & realizes Sora is one who gives her that feeling. Sora ends up catching Dereck cheating on her & tells her. Kairi confronts him & Dereck reveals Sora's feelings towards her too. Kairi breaks up with Dereck soon after & starts a romantic relationship with Sora, & the two try to navigate their way from being just friends to something more. Kairi has now promised herself to Sora, to spend the rest of her life with him & keep him safe. Sora & Riku overhear a conversation between her father & a strange man. Sora tells Kairi what they heard & he fears her life is in danger. Kairi hides the fact that she is afraid, to keep Sora from freaking out. Kairi begins to remember what happened before she came to Destati. All she knows is she was kidnapped, but she's unsure as to why. Currently, she is trying to figure out what happened & figure out why she's in danger now & whose after her. Kairi has also discovered she has a knack for fighting with a sword, but feels it's only because her adrenaline kicked in. Little does she know, it's much more than just adrenaline. Upon arriving home, Kairi finds out she was adopted. On the night of her prom, she was kidnapped while sneaking outside to smoke. Sora rushes to her rescue & they learn, her kidnapper wants to take her back to Raidanthia & threaten her birth family into allowing him to marry her so he can be King of Raidanthia. Sora is able to rescue her but her kidnapper prevents them from leaving & points his gun at Kairi. Sora jumps in front of the gun & takes the bullet. Kairi follows Sora to the hospital & is devastated when he is presumed dead. Thanks to Kairi & Riku's voices, Sora miraculously pulls through. After graduation, Sora gives Kairi the bad news that she has to return to Raidanthia, & can't be together. Kairi refuses at first, but Sora is adamant about her safety & she goes back to Raidanthia, leaving both her & Sora heart broken.

Hikari University In the 3 year time gap, Kairi stays in Raidanthia & still goes through Hikari University online. It ends up becoming too stressful for her to finish college online, while her birth parents pressure her into learning how to become a Queen, which she is reluctant about. On top of that, Kairi's birth parents tell her she is part of an arranged marriage to Victor. Kairi has no interest in this, but her birth parents are forcing it onto her & she forces herself to move on from Sora, thinking she'll never see him again. She lies to Victor & says she's still a virgin & she's waiting until after marriage. Kairi becomes numb & loses her spark. Her adoptive parents visit her from time to time in Raidanthia & they convince her birth parents, it's probably better for her mental health to attend Hikari University in person & come back to the States until she finishes college. Victor follows her, enrolls into the University as well & his family rents an apartment for both he & Kairi. This is when Victor's true colors begin to show & he's not what everyone thinks he is. When Kairi returns, she is clued into the fact that something happened to Sora while she was gone. She found out he got addicted to oxycodone & went to rehab for it. Sora & Kairi admitted that they still love each other, & have been having an affair in secret until her birth parents come to visit & she can break off the engagement & refuse to be Queen of Raidanthia, so she can be with Sora. Kairi's fiance is revealed to be abusing her & threatens Sora's life to keep her from leaving him. When Kairi goes with Sora, Namine & Roxas to see Madame Vera, a psychic, she is told it's not just herself she needs to take care of. She interprets that the other person is Sora, but that's not exactly what Madame Vera meant. After returning home, Victor confronts Kairi about the affair she's been having with Sora. He beats her & the next day, Sora finds her covered in bruises but Kairi runs away from him, telling him they can't see each other anymore. Kairi later attempts to jump off a building & Sora stops her. After they talk, Kairi collapses due to pains in her abdomen. Sora takes her to the hospital, where they learn she is pregnant with Sora's child but she miscarried. Sora takes her back home, where she then stays with him & her friends. After she recovers, she must meet with her birth parents so she can break off her engagement to Victor & refuse to become Queen of Raidanthia. She does so, with Sora's support. After a few months, Sora proposes to Kairi & they become engaged. Kairi finds out later that Victor was released from jail & that Sora kept it a secret from her. Sometime later, Sora approaches Kairi curious about what the doctors at the hospital told her about getting pregnant again. She admits to him, that they did indeed tell her it would hard, if not impossible to conceive again. They're both saddened by this but decide they will handle it together when the time comes. Months go by, & they believe Victor has left them alone until he finally starts to make his move on getting revenge on Sora & Kairi. Kairi confronts Victor herself to protect Sora, but as Victor pushes Kairi off the roof, Sora arrives just in time to save her. They escape from Victor but he follows them & attempts to take Sora's life. Kairi shields Sora from the bullet & is shot instead, leaving Sora distraught. When Kairi is in the hospital, Sora is told she is in a coma & they're unsure if she'll wake up. Days go by, & Sora refuses to leave her side until she awakens & she does after so many days. Shortly after, they all graduate college & Sora & Kairi get married & look forward to beginning their new life.

Lifelines A year after Hikari University, & Sora & Kairi's marriage to each other; Sora is met with devastating news that his parents died in an accident together. This marks the beginning of his slow turn to darkness. Vanitas attempts to turn him by infiltrating his mind & making him think the worst of himself & the people he loves. Eventually Sora snaps & targets Riku after Vanitas convinces Sora, Riku wants Kairi for himself. Sora realizes what he's done to the people he cares about & runs away. Kairi finds him & the two reconcile, which brings Sora back to the side of light, making him realize as long as he has Kairi, he'll be okay. After Terra & Aqua's wedding, Kairi is kidnapped by Vanitas & Sora impulsively goes after her, not caring who it is that has her. When he arrives & is beaten by Vanitas, it is revealed to him that Vanitas & a new foe want Sora & Kairi's baby & that's why they tried to turn Sora to darkness. Sora is confused by this since to their knowledge Kairi couldn't get pregnant, but Vanitas confirms she is. Sora feels helpless since he can't summon the keyblade & gives into the darkness to save Kairi. Kairi again, brings him back to the light & when they return home they discover Kairi really is pregnant. Namine eventually is able to help everyone remember who they are again & their past lives & they all begin training, except Kairi due to her being pregnant. The night that Kairi goes into labor; Namine, Roxas & Axel are told they must escape into a secret realm to protect themselves from Vanitas & this new enemy because they're after everyone's lineage. Everyone escapes except Sora, Kairi, Riku & Roxas. Riku & Roxas stay behind to protect Sora & Kairi while she delivers the baby. Sora & Kairi are told Kairi must undergo an emergency c section to deliver their baby safely. After the baby is delivered, Sora tells Riku to take their daughter to the secret realm without himself & Kairi. Riku does so & Roxas returns to help Sora & Kairi escape. They live in the secret realm for six years, & during this time Sora & Kairi have a son named Wyatt.
