I believe History is but a collection of passed on trauma. However, living in trauma and constantly reenacting trauma isn't all there is to life. We don't have to inflict our trauma onto others and pass it on. We don't have to isolate ourselves from the world because our only choice is to hold onto it. We can choose to take a step back from believing this is a flesh prison. Our story doesn't have to be based on History as we know it; the sequences and patterns established by traumatised folk namely wars, invasions, colonisation, erasure of identity or genocide. My story, your story can be something that doesn't exist in any History book, something that no one has ever described before, something fresh from the outskirts of reality where only magic and imagination reach. If we use History our best bet is to remain a trauma survivor,. I want to aim beyond that. I want you to aim beyond that too.
