pacing around in circles muttering to myself about daniel and louis and the years between the first interview and now...... daniel telling armand "he didn't even want me in the end" after offering to get on his knees for him instead... they didn't fuck but for decades "i really thought we did" / "do you want to now?"... daniel is old and dying in a penthouse full of impossibly young beautiful immortal beings and louis still laughingly offers something that daniel thought for years he'd gotten already. and then it turns out that not only he didn't, but something in him had assumed they did have sex and never explored that further and he's gone through this entire second interview so far under that assumption because that bridge has been crossed already. except it hadn't and when louis says "do you want to now" you can see the change in his expression like for the briefest of moments he really is considering it

Can you recommend your favourite sword-and-sandal movies?
if Steve Reeves was in it, I probably watched it and had a good time. everyone's got legs for days in those movies, and I think the costuming choices are fun!
more specifically tho: The Avenger/La leggenda di Enea (The Legend of Aeneas) and Hercules/Le Fatiche di Ercole (The Labours of Hercules)
searching 'peplum' films on youtube should give you like, so many of these films
that aside, I'd recommend looking up Steve Reeve/other popular sword and sandal actors' acting credits and checking out whatever sounds most fun. they've got everything. You like biblical antiquity? They got biblical antiquity! You want the Trojan War? They got the Trojan War! just. be sure uhhhhhhhhh to watch them some of them with a critical eye.
special mentions to Ben Hur (1959) and Cleopatra (1963), which are actually epics, but I'm throwing them in here because they're so heavily fictionalized in their visuals that it's sword and sandal adjacent to me.

i feel like scouring the wikis to find points proving plurality or otherwise definitely can invalidate some anons. maybe an alter relates to the character, who are you to tell them they arent *actually* plural based off of wikia pages? at the root of it, theyre just fictional characters being asked about. /nm /curious /gen
[ not a rating ]
we are not a headcanon blog !
the purpose of this blog isnt to invalidate a headmate or someones feelings on any certain thing being plural (or not), but our purpose is moreso; figuring out if something a headmate relates to is actually a sign of plurality, or figuring out if some character was never meant to be plural at all and seeing if they are actually more plural than surface level
what we do here is: we look at a certain characters canon, and pinpoint any signs on plurality in said canon, hence the name "is that plural?"
we will have ratings that conclude in 'not plural' because not everything is plural, and not everything should be plural
wikipedia pages are our best bet if we dont know the source ourselves, its quite literally the best we can do if a submitter doesn't give us their own personal reasoning
^ which is why we value long asks infodumping about just how plural coded your blorbo may be, and we listen to you about it, and make our own judgements accordingly (most of the time, if you give us reasoning; we Will Agree with you)

9 and 24 for the choose violence ask game if you haven’t done them
Already did 9!!
24. topic that brings up the most rancid discourse
Not specific to any specific fandom, but... 😂 Definitely when people criticise ships they don't like & justify their own OTPs by trying to appeal to politics or morality.
I've seen people argue that m/m shippers (a few times, specifically tumblr user fitz rove - that's always fun 😂💀) are misogynists; I've seen people argue that f/m shippers are homophobic; I've seen people argue that people who ship ONE f/m ship are misogynists but people who ship a DIFFERENT f/m ship from the same work are women's liberation activists; I've never seen anyone say much of anything about F/F shippers because the masses (save for specific fandoms where it's more commonplace) don't care about wlw fic 💀💀💀🥲
The fact is, liking or enjoying most things is morally neutral, but the way you talk about them and "justify" them (if you start down that road) to other people in public spaces, specifically by commenting on the canon or the state of fan culture, is (often) political. And that's how a lot of analysis and interpretation is, it's not inherently bad! But I do think that in some cases people can be very combative with their takes and just label people with different opinions some kind of bigot, which is never productive imo.
And like, yeah, there is bigotry in fandom (especially in situations when certain things or headcanons become established fanon to the extent that straying from them is seen as a violation - and sometimes these headcanons can have roots in offensive or reductive stereotypes), there are also weird people with weird worldviews in fandom, but I still don't think people approach these things in a productive way most of the time.

Tumblr is always like social norms are evil and stupid and hurt people that doesn't fit in (which is extremely true and I say this all the time too)
But the moment someone do something here stupid everybody is like turn into hive mind and bully them.(not racism or bigoted stuff like terfs idk I am talking about just weird things)
Like people preach be yourself, current social norms are fucked up then mock you for not following Tumblr culture or whatever.

asking the question “what do you want?” is soooo important to me.... thank u adam parrish for “to feel awake when my eyes are open” and thank u kaz brekker for “money. vengeance. jordie’s voice in my head silenced forever. you, inej. you. ‘to die buried under the weight of my own gold’” like do you understand how these two have completely rewired my brain. i pick up a new character and first thing i do is ask them what do you want. what do you want? what do you want superficially what do you want deep in your heart but won’t ever let anyone know what do you want that’s easy to say and easy to get.
anyway. what does your muse want? :)
