Story:  

Angelkit had always been a bit headstrong, stupid some might say, but his brother thought he was brave. He thought he was brave too, and so he swore that he would always protect his family, even if the meanest, biggest badger attacked.

He never suspected he would have to protect his family from his father, but as his father came into the nursery, bristled pelt, radiating rage, Angelkit prepared himself.

Mochipaw had stood between Milkdud and him and his brother, but Milkdud tossed him to the side, kicking Mochipaw for good measure, to make sure he wouldn't get back up.

Angelkit had leapt at Milkdud, biting him and clawing wherever he could reach. Milkdud yelped and tried to throw him off, eventually getting a good grip on his scruff and throwing him to the side to join Mochipaw, giving him a few hard blows before moving on and beating Sweetkit while Angelkit could only lay uselessly on the floor of the den.

Milkdud had been exiled a few days later. Angelkit was glad to see him go, hissing at him as he left. Caramelcrunch was not nearly as happy to see her mate leave, and cuffed Angelkit around the ear.

Caramelcrunch started ignoring him and Sweetkit, only really interacting with them to quell Angelkit’s "stupidity" or cuff him and Sweetkit around the ear. Angelkit didn’t care much, as long as his siblings were safe.

His apprentice ceremony came, and while he hoped that Sweetpaw would’ve become a warrior with him, he was supportive of him becoming a medicine cat. Caramelcrunch had something rude to say about it as always, but Angelpaw couldn’t care less, he was happy and so was his brother, and nothing else mattered to him in that moment.

His mentor soon took him on his first patrol, touring around the territory. It had been going fine until Angelpaw stopped dead in his tracks. A familiar smell had wormed its way into his nose and wrapped his mind in bitter memories. He bolted off, ignoring his mentor’s yells for him to stop.

The scent only got stronger until he came upon a decrepit Twoleg den, the steps covered in grass and dead leaves, the roof had nearly been blown clean off, and the scent was as strong as it could possibly be. It was his self-centered asshole of a father.

He rushed into the den, taking his father by surprise. The two engaged in a lengthy fight, before it finally came to an end when his father went limp in the stream Angelpaw held him down in. Angelpaw stumbled away, attempting to follow the scent he left back to camp. He had been so close before he finally collapsed, the sound of his sister yelling being the final thing he heard before everything went dark.

Starclan damnit not again! this would be the 7th time this moon! sweetpaw sighed and added another scratch to the wall, then turned towards his ghostly brother with an audible sigh.

“yes dearest dead brother of mine? what is it this time? another request to call someone you didnt like a bitch?”

angelpaw pointedly ignored the obvious sarcasm and brotherly ire in sweetpaws voice, and weaved around his brother, tail attempting to intertwine with sweetpaws but ultimately phasing through it.

“well my beloved brethren, i have only one request, quit candyclan.”

sweetpaws tail twitched with annoyance, and he breathed through his teeth. he knew it was a bait question, but he was tempted enough that he didnt care.

“and why should i do that?”

“so you can join my mildly evil and kinda weird found family, you just gotta do like, one or two crimes or something”

“angelpaw i am not commiting a crime so i can join your found family, we have a family already anyways”

“cmonnnn just like, drown caramel crunch or somethinggg, shes a bitch anyways”

angel scrunched his eyes and put his paw over his face, his patience was wearing thin and he was tempted to learn how to physically interact with ghosts just to cuff angelpaw around the ear.

“i am not killing caramelcrunch, yea shes a bitch, but i dont feel like getting haunted by her too, its bad enough when she comes in here just to yell at me”

angelpaw quieted down for a minute, before opening his maw again.

“yea but itd be fun-”

he was cut off by sweetpaw tackling him.

a/n: i am gonna write the angsty version of angelpaw haunting sweetpaw soon, but the funny version was low hanging fruit & i am lazy
