Have you ever been stressed for a long period of time, living in fear of getting sick before you reach your goal, only to get to the end unscathed, achieve what you set out to do... and immediately fall sick now that your body can finally relax? That's what the Ten of Wands reminds me of. The entire suit of wands has been building towards this goal, towards reaching great heights. When the Ten comes around, it's signifying you've finally gotten what you want. But do you still want it? The Ten of Wands represents responsibility and burdens as well as achievement. It asks if you want to continue to bear this heavy weight, or if you want to set it down and start a new cycle. You can forge a new path now, if you choose.

The Ace of Cups is such a sweet and lovely card. Aces represent new beginnings, and cups is the suit of emotions, so the Ace of Cups represents new love, relationships, or emotional experiences. It promises hope and optimism. It may also augur a new relationship with your creativity, intuition, or craft. Love is in the air when the Ace of Cups comes up, though it may not always be romantic love, or even love directed at another person.

The Hermit represents solitude and withdrawal for the purposes of gaining inner wisdom. It suggests retreating from everyday life for a time so that you can gain clarity and work on a task that only you can complete. It also speaks to becoming comfortable with yourself and being alone with your thoughts. The time of your withdrawal may be long or short. Whatever best helps you reach the guidance and answers you need. Remember that being alone and being lonely are not the same thing. Being alone sometimes is necessary, and it can refresh you for the journey ahead.

Where McCoy makes a smart remark about not believing in soulmates (and even if soulmates & red strings of fate are real, HE certainly doesn't have one) to some powerful being that decides: lmao, I know what would be really funny, and the three of them get dosed with something that (temporarily) makes their strings not only visible but also PHYSICALLY PRESENT. They can't wander too far away from each other because they become a tripping hazard. The strings grow or shrink depending on their proximity so when they're nearby their arms are getting tugged when someone reaches for something, because for all intents and purposes they're physically tied together.

McCoy and Spock trying different ways to break/cut/dissolve the string, but absolutely nothing works on it. Meanwhile the strings keep getting caught in the door and making them fall on their butts.

McCoy still valiantly trying to pretend that these red strings mean Absolutely Nothing, No, They Are Not Cosmically Bound Together By Destiny, Thanks.

They divert to Vulcan because Vulcans have studied the red strings in depth, and the Vulcan High Priestess is losing her mind because usually Vulcans have to go through some special rituals to prove they're the Vulcan-iest Vulcan in order to gain the ability to even see the red strings, and Spock is trying to pretend he's not Smug about it (he is failing badly).

Kirk is feeling Extremely Sappy but is trying to hide it.

McCoy is losing his mind about trying to perform surgery while attached to these two, and also at the fact that Kirk has unilaterally decided it makes more sense for them to all just sleep in the same bed in the meantime, and also the Knowing Looks the entire crew is giving them, and also -

And also everything about this situation, tbh.

Comedy ensues, is the point.

I have been out of it for the most part of this weekend, and just got to know that Lewis Hamilton, not just mentioned Nico Rosberg, not as a old friend, or an acquaintance, but BY NAME; and recounted a full memory. God I need someone to sedate me.

this card is hilarious to me. dont get me wrong, it's a very sweet story and everything, but it's also so funny because the main conflict is "luke and rosa want to cook a dish perfectly but cant because theyre bad at cooking" and their genius solution is "wait, but they ARE good at BEING NERDS so if we treat cooking as a series of EXPERIMENTS instead then they hypothetically will be able to COOK WELL" and. they were RIGHT. luke's fuckin encyclopedia of COOKING SCIENTIFIC FOOD NOTES had me so endeared. local STEM guy needs to apply the Scientific Method to PAELLA to be able to cook it without burning anything. amazing, no notes

The Empress is connected to themself, their family, friends, strangers, animals, the earth... the list goaes on. This card reminds us of the important of taking care—of yourself and others. It also supports any creative, generative projects you may want to work on.

The Magician is the first card in the Major Arcana. It represents ability, energy, and power. This card suggests it's time to take action. You have the capability and competence you need, and if you draw on all your strengths {body, mind, heart, soul}, you can reach your goal. The Magician is an auspicious card and suggests you will succeed at that which you apply yourself to. It will require hard work, but it will be worth it.

This was a fun reading, all the cards were major arcana totally by chance. Also hiiiii, I took a longer than expected break for Memorial Day in the US, but now I’m back!

I mean.
