All My Native Pokémon Posts

Since I have been asked several times by several students which Pokémon may exist in their local region, I decided to condense all of my answers into one text post similar to the Pokémon in our Biomes Master List.

I encourage all my students to continue asking wonderful questions about which species might be present in their area! Let me know if you would like to know the starters available to your area, the first route rodent or birds, early bugs or cave Pokémon! It has been a lot of fun researching the local landscape and ecology of areas that I personally have not had the pleasure of exploring for myself!

With that being said, have a look at the list below if you are curious about the Pokémon in your area because I may have already written about it. But as always, if you have any other questions about Pokémon Ecology, ideas for new posts, or even just comments and feedback please let me know!

1. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT JASON & STEPH AKA DISASTER TWINS as opposed to Dick and Donna's Wonder Twins

So this little Robin starts as a street kid. Their father is a criminal, their mother struggles with addiction and they have to grow up way too fast. They try to do good in any way they can but unfortunately they die by the hands of a sadistic criminal that torture them brutally before their death. They get better. Am I talking about Jason or Steph? TRICK QUESTION IT'S BOTH.

Cue Under the Red Hood. Jason is coming back and he has this whole thing planned. It's gonna be theatrical and dramatic and he hears that another Robin just died. Well, it looks like Mr. Black Mask specifically has a target on his back, doesn't he?

More years later. Steph is back as Batgirl. We pretend we do not see most of Jason's shit after UTRH. They finally meet. They bond over the fact that they're the only batfam members that can cook and know how much a banana costs. (No, Bruce, it's not ten dollars.) They're both sarcastic and quippy and dramatic and they get on like a house on fire. Steph likes to sit on his shoulders (she likes to be tall) and he gets fiercely protective of his new little sister.

(Eventually, Steph doesn't know why, but she tells him about her pregnancy. And Jason, who canonically hugged Sheyla Haywood and commented on how hard it must've been for HER to abandon him, simply pets her hair and says that he can't even imagine how strong Steph is for making that decision for her child's sake.)

(Steph wants to resent him, because back when she was Robin, Bruce couldn't handle her because she reminded him too much of Jason in ways Tim never did. But she finds out she can't. She knows how he feels like the family "outcast" and she wants to be a bridge for him. She wants to make Cass understand that Jason isn't bad even if Cass despises him. She finds that she has more in common with him than with the rest of the bats after all.)

They joke that they're the Robins that went wrong (if you joke about something enough it must stop hurting, right?) and, if Nightwing and Troia are Wonder Boy and Wonder Girl, Jason and Steph are Disaster Boy and Disaster Girl. Disaster twins. Jason points out he's at least two years older. Steph argues that that can't be true because he was dead for six months, so he's a year older tops. Cue long hours of pointless bickering over technicalities.

Crystal Brown fully adopts Jason. She invites him over for dinner as often as she does Steph (and it serves as a bittersweet reminder of what Catherine Todd could've been if she recovered but it also feels like home) and she gets so excited when she hears that Jason would've loved to go to med school (with a minor in Literature, of course.)

Steph tries to convince Jason to come public that he's alive and go to college with her. They'll talk shit about their classmates and show them trustfund babies what real top notch students are like.

They like the same musicals and they listen to Broadway soundtracks when they're together. They changed their patrol schedules to run into each other more often and chill while they're doing a stakeout.

Eventually, they have to go to the Batcave for one reason or another. There are painful memories. They stick together, reminding one another that they're not the odd one out, they're not alone this time. They never have to be anymore.

Just feeling exhausted at the thought of the new tatort münster episode, which is not a great sign per se,

Idk Boerne was always an asshole and him calling his assistant "Alberich" always rubbed me the wrong way a bit, but they could've made him better instead of just fully going down the chauvinism route. Frankly, I don't mind him insulting people based on their intellect. That's kind of who he is, he believes he's smarter than everyone. But I think he shouldn't judge people too harshly based on things like gender and weight. I don't think that's necessarily something that is "integral to the character" or whatever.

And we all already know that the character development they went through with their relationship will be reset by the next episode, which is just. So unsatisfactory. Feeling like sisyphus over here tbh. And that is something that genuinely has to be annoying to The Average Viewer too, right? Like even if you don't look at it from a queer angle, you just kinda never let the story go anywhere at all because you're too afraid it'll lose the ability to be viewed out of context.

Am I still gonna watch the next episode?

Baywatch Berlin is so funny to me because sometimes it's just a regular Office Podcast, but occasionally they will have very serious discussions about how to legally shoot a colleague or which celebrity just sorta stole a lamp from their set

What is the issue with Hazbin Hotel? It is the first time I have ever heard about it

nothing really about the show itself (sort of), just that either the creator, or crew, or some of the creator’s friend circle are assholes who bully ppl who disagree w/ them about stuff & allow the toxic behavior of the crew to continue. (the creator did do some shitty things back when she was 19, but that was addressed. but there’s still new rumors going around)

What do you think are the odds of Azi and Crowley staying in touch with the other humans after the non-apocalypse? Because I feel like they could go either way, since humans HAD to know what they were in order to avoid it.

I personally rather like the idea.

Anathema for sure probably summons Crowley every now and then when she needs to know something or if she hasn’t seen him in a while. Azi just ends up getting dragged along for the ride sometimes.

It’s also heavily implied (in the book at least) that they wind up living together in Tadfield (I think the script book might have some more in it but I haven’t read it yet.) so I think it’d be highly likely they’d bump into them.

huh, well I think the question I’ve been the most annoyed at was when my mom asked me: “are you sure?”

Hey what is Rt? Because I'm hearing controvery about it but I have no context

If you read it on my blog it’s probably Rooster Teeth, a web comedy company based in Austin

The two controversies I’m aware of atm are:

-One of the founding members is no longer associated with the company. While there is no official statement about why he left, people have noted he was very right-leaning on twitter, sometimes dipping into Nasty stuff, and are assuming the others finally had enough. Since he also voices one of, if not the most, popular character from the series that started Rooster Teeth, not to mention has had a lot of contact with fans irl and through other videos, fans are mourning and wondering what is gonna happen

-A black woman, former member of RT, came out to say that when she joined the company fans put her through hell for being black and a woman, and the company basically left her to fend for herself, and that she ended up quitting specifically because they would not protect her. She did not name any names but several of her former coworkers came out and admited they should have been better and apologized to her for their attitude. Some people accepted this, some people did not, you know how it goes with internet and racism

That’s it as far as I’m aware of currently, but RT has had some controversies pop up in the last few years, like mismanagement, nepotism, crunch, not to mention the absolute hellhole that is the rwby discourse, which I avoid like the plague and advice you to do the same

when downloading viktor Nikiforov you get him, his medals and his dog. The first expansion pack adds rinkmates like yuri Plisetsky, the second one adds the entire Katsuki family so that you can woo their son, and the third one includes a giant pink Barbie car.
