How would Carlos take GN!Reader in a day out headcanons

Carlos is an affectionate and attentive boyfriend. So when he notices you have been having a couple of rough weeks, he plans a special day off for you.

Which obviously starts with breakfast in bed. He has whatever you like to eat in the mornings ready for you. Doesn't eat breakfast in the morning? NO PROBLEM. He knows that, of course, so he stays in bed until you wake up, holding you in his arms or just keeping you company.

He has a day planned, depending on what you like. (beach date, park date, city date)

(BEACH DATE)

If during summer, be ready for a beach date. Carlos is up for anything, but his favorite is the beach (i promise i am not trying to be cliche here). He wakes up early, prepares all you will need, like beach chairs, TONS of water ("Hydration always!"), sunblock!!!!! This man worries about your well-being (and is honestly excited to see you wearing swimwear).

Your favorite part of taking him to the beach is seeing Carlos take off his shirt (many glares go in his direction, and you are used to it now). How can you not be when your man is built like a freaking Greek god? (yeap, i highlighted your man because you can feel some sense of pride no one else is taking him home except you)

The activities will depend on what kind of person you are. If you are more active and like swimming or other sports, Carlos will be right by you. If you are the type to sit back and relax, no problem either: Carlos will sit by your side, his eyes secretly watching you sunbathe. 

If you like getting on the water and don't know how to swim, he will always watch you, letting you feel safe. If you know how to swim, you can always go to the deeper part of the sea and make out, where no one will see ;). If you don't like to get in the water, Carlos will still invite you no matter what, so you can at least get your toes wet; no pressure on accepting. When he returns from swimming, you have a full view of Carlos's wet body as he dries himself with a towel. As Carlos notices you staring, he winks at you, flooding your head with impure thoughts (sorry i had to)

He always buys ice cream/milkshake before you leave because, come on, what is a beach date without one in the end?

(ON THE PARK):

Now if you are more of a nature person, Carlos will reserve a day in your favorite park or one you have always wanted to visit. He knows how much you like to be surrounded by peace and quiet, so he also prepares to stay the whole day at the park.

It is nice to hike and observe all the different types of trees and animals you can see. Carlos would study the story of the place and some plants to throw out some scientific facts to impress you. If you decide to bring your bikes, you can bike around the trail slowly or do a speeding competition. Just want to sit down and do some meditation? Or even some yoga? Well, Carlos is up for that as well (CARLOS IN EXERCISE CLOTHES IS ALL IM SAYING)

As a surprise, I can see him booking one night stay at the park. Cabin or camping, whatever you like it. And you know what that means? STARGAZING!! Cuddling under a blanket if cold. Carlos hums for you to sleep under the beautiful starry night sky. 

(ON THE CITY):

Carlos also plans a day out in the city. If he knows there is a movie, you want to watch, cinema. A restaurant you have always wanted to go to? A FREAKING ESCAPE ROOM? Carlos is an expert in those, don't be surprised if you get the record for the fastest escape.

Or even if it is just to stay home the whole day enjoying each other's company. Carlos won't criticize you if you want to stay in pajamas. You can cuddle on the sofa, play video games, or even board games.

it was around 7:55 at night when carlos found you sitting on the couch with your phone in hand and earbuds in your ears. he had a few seconds to decide if he was gonna question you on why you kept asking so many questions or not and he decided last minute he was going to. he walked over to you and tapped your knee to get your attention. you sat up and pulled the earbuds out your ears to see what he wanted

“listen… you don’t have to answer but why do you keep asking about swim suits and swimming…? like you’ve been asking alot and i dont…. know —“ you felt your heart sink into your ass when he asked that, you looked down and played with the cord of your ear buds

“uh… well—“ you started, you knew he wasn’t gonna shut up about why you kept asking so you decided you’d show him instead of having to explain. you stood up and untied the strings of your sweatpants you had on and pulled the pants down and stood there, looking away because you were scared of his reaction.

you had scars on both your thighs and hips, some even in your calves. a lot of them were different sizes, small, big, medium. some looked deep some looked faded. carlos kinda just stood there staring at them and he thought of everything they could be that wasn’t what he knew they were

“y…you got hurt…? or you fell on glass….?” he asked, in a gentle voice he couldn’t stop looking at them but when he did he saw you crying

“c-carlos….”

“you…. no — it can’t be that… right…? it’s not is it?”

all you could do was nod and try not to sob like a baby. he was in shock… he had no idea what to say or do so he just sat down

he held you until you stopped crying and he looked down at the scars before looking at you “you’re okay now right? you’re not… still doing that are you?” you shook your head and wiped your eyes from the tears. you sniffled and played with the end of your shirt avoiding eye contact with him

“i…im sorry—“ you mumbled, he almost didn’t hear you but when he realised you just apologised he shook his head

- He's very much a, if I didn't have the people around me to support me, I wouldn't have gotten this far type of person. And he'll do the inner work if it means becoming a better version of himself.

-and that takes GUTS. Tyrell really was right when he called Carlos a balsy such and such he has courage for days. So in conclusion he definitely would have the courage to go and heal for himself and others. 100%.

-Definitely takes me as the gym bro to make friends with everyone at the gym. He's there to shred and sometimes he's a little show off but hey, he worked for his gains why not show em off y'know?

- He'll also be the first to rope some asshole in if they're making someone uncomfortable. He likes going to the gym and he'd hate for it to become a place with a bad vibe, not on his watch!! So if he's in the gym is just chill vibes

-theres these dudes on tiktok that are gymbros but they're constantly playfully flirting or making dirty jokes w each other that's Carlos lol.

-I think Carlos would also like hiking. He wouldn't mind camping, so long as he's got a good group to go with-(that usually makes or breaks the camping trip imo) but he prefers to take a hike. The views are worth the pain, he says, trust me!

-Also, cooking!!! Carlos LOVES cooking it's canon. He prefers cooking for people because being able to see his friends or s.o's face when they try his food makes all the hard work worth it. He also gets to spend time with everyone which is a bonus! So if you're friends or dating, expect big dinner parties. As rowdy as they can be they're actually quite chill once everyone's had some of Carlos' special in their belly (we all rubbing our tummies like 🤰🤰🤰 after that food baby kahsisbsj)

-ON that, he's very family oriented. Because of his upbringing and how he was raised to his personality, but yeah-man's had to fight for his family from day 1 p much. So big protective older brother vibes here. He'd definitely make a good dad!

-In saying that his social circle is WILD. Like I'm talking he picks up a random person off the street, brings them to a party with some of his work colleagues and old workmates from his other job and everyone's Like WHAT do we all have in common 💀

-he is a silly goofy guy he loves to joke around, but not at the expense of others!! So, he's actually got a lot of friends. They type of person that had loads of friends but only a couple of really close ones ngl.

he finds himself tormented (but is it really torment if he enjoys it?) by thoughts and concerns for you, especially so when he's on the other side of the globe with no contact. he needs to see you, needs to ask the questions swirling in his mind, so it pushes him forward to finish his mission at all costs.

he has to be home for you, to fulfill his unspoken promises to return in one piece, both limbs attached so he can wrap his arms around you and feel your heart pound in sync with his. he needs to drown in your scent, the scent of home. and he needs to engrain your smile and the lilt of your voice, to internalise his reasons to come home.

when you start to freak out and have a breakdown she’s sorta at a loss to help but in a split second she runs and grabs your weighted blanket and puts it around your shoulders while getting you your favorite drink. it all depends on you and how you deal but she’s quick to make adjustments

non verbal moments? she will help you make little cards to show your wants and needs and other information.

angry? ripped your shirt in anger? banged your head against a wall? tore some hair out? she will try to help you calm down as best she can and then patch you up. she’ll take safety pins and pin your shirt. she’ll give you an ice pack and some pain relief medicine. she gives you kisses

don’t like a certain texture? boom it’s gone. if you feel it still even after you’ve touched it she’ll bring you your favorite texture

loves it when you sit on her lap and rub your face on her like a cat. she will join you in the face rubbing
