Yes, it looks very decent. Charlie's personality seems like it's put together better than the pilot. I like Charlie's new voice actor but I miss everyone else's. Angels looking like demons has always been a design issue, its a shame they didn't change it. It did feel like it spoiled what is going to happen, and it does feel like it's going the direction Helluva Boss is in terms of swapped plot. Helluva Boss was initially about IMP, a bunch of assassins who kill humans for profit, but then it devolved into Stolas romantic traumatic drama. Hazbin Hotel was supposed to be about redeeming sinners but now it looks like they're just going straight into war with Heaven. On one hand, I'm glad it's not gonna be an episodic "redeem this person now!" because feasibly that can't work forever. Plus, they are very short on time, they only have 8 eps per season so they had to basically get right to it. On the other hand, that kind of defeats the entire point of the pilot, the entire point of the title- it was Hazbin Hotel, a place for sinners to be redeemed, and it seems like immediately that idea is going to be shut down. But I could be wrong, the trailer showed a lot, but not enough context to be sure. As for woman-lead, I will retract my statement by just a tad because Charlie is indeed the main character here, but I'm still on the fence based off the screen time the other women got in the trailer. Niffty's and Cherri's was next to nothing. Vaggie looks like she's just getting a song to herself luckily, but it looks like it is only going to be one, and we also don't know what she's singing about just yet. So I am more hopeful but still skeptical based on Helluva Boss's writing. I'm def excited for Charlie and Alastor, even if I don't end up satisfied with their arcs or direction.

a bit dissapointed on the games journalism on veikguard too ive seen in certain places because like every dragon age fan ive seen is like ”Okay it looks good and we are not suprised that the first trailer looks like it does” and then like people who played origins for 2 hours back in 2009 and whos job it is to babyrage about games online went Omg it looks cartoony and cringe (just like all the other dragon age games are), lets massdownvote the game trailer like we do with 70% of upcoming games. because of the Woke. and then a few games journalists ive seen and whos work ive liked before have just been like Wow looks like dragon age FANS arent excited guys ! ☹️

feeling sick to my stomach about rumors of recasting/casting for daredevil born again. just prefacing, my interest in the show will drop off significantly if elodie yung isn't coming back as elektra, and if they do recast her, i will be more disappointed if they erase the asian representation and cast a white woman. and while on that topic, kirsten mcduffie should be played by a black woman, i'm terrified they're gonna white-wash her character when most of her comic iterations have shown that she's black. i just hope they do right by these characters since its gonna be "all new"

Wait, you've been a Sunny fan for 8 years?! You've got to tell us how it's been in that time!!! What's the vibe been like here in that time and how has it changed? What were the big fan theories? Was r/iasip always such a hellhole dumpsterfire? What are the big things from the fandom back in the day that we don't know about but should?

Ooooh lets see what I remember-

Charlie reigned supreme- like really and truly so many blogs and so, so much content was Charlie Charlie Charlie, everyday, all the time and I mean he still is insanely popular but definitely back in the day Charlie in the show and of the cast was easily the most popular, like it felt like 7/10 posts were about him. Glenn was next in line but I do distinctly remember Kaitlin and Rob didn't have as much content about them, at a certain point I kinda was the Kaitlin Olson tag, that's not me being up myself I just used to be in her tag constantly and it'd be a lot of posts in a row of just me- the girls of the series def didnt always get the love they should and I'm not really sure that's changed much ☠ But yeah this was also around the time that everyone was also going gaga about Pacific Rim so that def made Charlie even more popular too.

Macdennis has always, always been a popular pairing but their popularity 100% has skyrocketed the past few years, and I mean SKYROCKETED. Like they're on par with some wildly popular mlm ships nowadays and it's lowkey so funny to see em in the ring with like. destiel 😂 now when I go in the tag it seems half the posts feature mac and dennis, which is notable to me bc Mac especially was kinda... Unloved is not the right way to phrase it bc fans have always loved him but Rob/Mac def didn't get /as/ much love back in the day. Like people often spoke of him as the weakest character but after season 13 I think he's gained more appreciation.

Fans have def gotten much bigger on theories and stuff these days, I'm sure they had em back then too but it wasn't as prevalent and none particularly stand out, it was usually just the "X characters are secretly sleeping together" type beat. I also remember a popular theory that everyone was going to die in the inevitable series finale but then the show never got cancelled and I dont know what that was about?

Reddit has always been messy and there def was a pretty big us vs them type vibe between sunny fans back then- though it was less reddit vs tumblr and more "straight dude bros" vs everyone else like I remember so many posts being like "Ugh straight dude bros don't get the show" I probably made some of those posts 😂 Lots of "Mac isn't actually gay" too which is very, very funny in hindsight- No one ever thought they'd canonize his sexuality.

Ummm... Probably the most notable thing to me tho is seeing how popular the cast has become, like 8 years ago Danny was the only "Big name" Like the media absolutely spoke of the show as these no name people and Danny Devito. I mean that was not totally the case for Charlie, he was becoming more and more popular and gaining traction in the mainstream with pacific rim and the likes but with Glenn, Kaitlin and Rob they were definitely not super well known outside Big always sunny fans so seeing them go from that to Rob being besties with Ryan Reynolds and stuff has honestly been super interesting and funny. Like I remember posting rob and kaitlins wedding pictures and getting so many people going WAIT THEYRE MARRIED?? it was hilarious to see the transition.

Yeah those are probably the biggest changes I can think of- it's gotten more popular which explains most of it, shipping has def become a much bigger thing as well, ships were pretty chill back then, there wasn't too much fic or art so thats different now :)

OH BUT ART! There's always been wonderful fan artists but nowadays wowee!! some amazing art for the series, like much more abundant! That's the gist of it :)

Occasionally, yes, I do go on Twitter from the safari app to search things, but once I get blocked by the log-in page, I move on.

Twitter isn’t so bad when it comes to wanting to see what people think about certain things, but too much of that can be overwhelming, which is why I choose not to reside there in much of any capacity.

So anon, whoever this ‘shit stirrer’ is that you are referring to, it is not me 😭 And idk why you would assume they are me, unless they’re putting up some sort of front that they are me?…

hi ^_^ i was wondering if you knew of any leafs fan discord servers (specifically, like, tumblr fans) or smth along those lines because i want to become, like, more active w/ other people but i feel awkward starting conversations lol. if not then no worries

i do not know of any public servers for leaf fans, i'm sorry!!! the best recommendation for making friends here is just sliding into the dms of mutuals and striking up conversations in my experience. i'm sometimes terrible at the initiating part bc i'm hesitant and a bit shy too but i'm always so honored when someone feels comfortable enough to come talk to me tbh so 😭😭😭😭 i've met some wonderful wonderful people here and anyone that i'm mutuals with is someone i have interest in being friends with tbh!! you can always throw it out there that you want to start a server yourself and see if anyone is interested too in the tags or whatnot. good luck to you!!!!

I am so sad :( the cast from season one was really good and they were not aiming for an anthology series. and even in the interviews the cast and writers were talking about a season 2 so this is definitely a sudden decision made by disney to change demographics. and it’s unfortunate because with a little more marketing this could’ve been a really marketable show. and i think it must feel disrespectful that they felt like starting all over again and discard the cast like that

Same. I feel so bad for the cast! I wonder how recently they found out. You're right, it was clear everyone thought a second season would continue with them. So it has to be crushing to lose what could have been a years long role.

Even if the second season is good, I don't want to watch it. I loved season 1 because of the cast and that's what I hate about TV today. It's so hard to find shows that you can watch for years and grow with the characters.

I'm thinking it has to do with demographics too. It sounds horrible to say, but maybe this is their chance to "sanitize" it for a more general audience. Which sucks because the characters are what drew me in. It seems the YA genre of TV with any sort of fantasy/supernatural element is rarely renewed nowadays as is. I really wanted this one to stick.
