I joined Twitter in 2007, ahead of SXSW Interactive. Figured I'd use it at the conference the same way we used Dodgeball/Foursquare the years before. It ended up being central to my work and social life for the next decade, and still important for several years more.

I was fading away there even before Musk bought it. Over the past few months I went there so little that Chrome finally started autofilling Tumblr instead of Twitter when I typed a "t" about a month ago. I would have left my account dormant, but doing so now would leave the impression that I condone bigotry and hate, or at least that I'm apathetic to it. So this is the end.
