One very specific aspect of my experience being a mori girl in a very small town is that almost everyone stares at me.

It doesn't have to be for long, but some people I pass on the street either look at me out of (what I hope to be) genuinely curiosity, or like I just grew an extra pair of arms out of thin air, no in-between. Of course, some don't even acknowledge me or my existence, which is a little bit reassuring to me lmao

I bet this is a very common experience with mori folks (or any other j-fashion wearer), and I understand it to a certain extent. Mori can be quite "eccentric" to outsiders and people that don't know about it. For example, I have had my classmates tell me I look like a porcelain dool, or like I just came out of an old painting, or even that I crawled out of a fairytale book. While all of these observations are HUGE compliments to me, I just wish, as a deeply anxious person, that the staring wasn't as prominent tho 😭

Mixing fast fashion (berry dress bought new on sale because a shop near my work closed down), slow fashion (brown corduroy coat gotten for free at an apartment clean out my father did) and handmade accessories (felted flower hair accessory from a swap by a friend of mine and real birch leaf necklace dipped in resin bought from a charity club for animal support). I've decorated the hip bag with a carved wooden owl (which I bought for a long distance friend once but lost contact with before I could give her the owl) and the big green tassle.

yknow I think the fandom makes Dazai's suicidal tendencies and his manipulation out to be the only "I'm mentally unstable" rad flags he has but I'd like to remind y'all that in canon we see the floor of his room covered in empty bottles and in wan he casually mentions being passed out drunk all night, in 15 it's implied he steels meds from Mori and apparently he's left enough women crying that Chuuya has a list.

I'm not saying all that to shit talk my guy I'm just saying darling dearest writers we have more options to explore.
