I have a few more minutes before dinner so let's catch up on Sheratober!
Very pointless Mommadora and Finn fluff for the prompt, Giant (222 words) after the jump
(Also throwing this on AO3 here)
“So the villagers slept peacefully, thinking they were safe.” Finn added the last of the stick people they’d made to the mud village, and set up the their They-Ra figure at top of the tall tower. “But then… the giant came.”
Nothing happened.
They cleared their throat. “I said, ‘the giant came.’”
Still nothing. How did this keep happening? Finn turned to Princess Arrow, who was occupied with covering her painting with more glitter than Finn had thought existed in on the entire planet.
“Ari? Can you…”
“Sure.” She gave Finn a moment to cover their ears before unleashing a loud, “Hey, Aunt Adora!”
The princess of Bright Moon was very good at being loud.
“Wha—“ Mommadora startled, nearly falling off her lounge chair. The grown-ups were taking turns babysitting while they were on vacation and, so far, Mommadora had spent most of her shift napping.
“Giant,” Ari said at a normal volume, before returning to the world’s most sparkly unicorn craft.
“Oh. Right.” Finn’s mom yawned, dragged herself off the lounge chair and turned into She-Ra. “I am going to stomp you!”
“No, you’re not!” They-Ra called, but not too loud because not everyone likes big noises. Finally, they’d gotten to the really fun part of the game, the big battle. They-Ra lifted their sword high. “For the honor of Theyskull!”
Something that always brings a smile to my face: Seeing Catradora art where Catra and Adora are moms with kids and its just so cute seeing them have a happy family.
Princess Arrow is sleeping over with Aunts Catra and Adora while her parents are busy with her new baby brother and she has a question for Finn.
I combined the prompt Blankets from @flufftober and Death from Sheratober and wanted to keep it fluffy so this is what I came up with...

“Hey, Finn?”
“Yeah?” Finn rolled over. It was late, but Princess Arrow was still watching them with wide sparkly eyes. Their moms were letting her sleep over while Aunt Glimmer and Uncle Bow were busy with the new baby.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Of course!” Finn shifted their sleeping bag a little closer. The princess was younger than they were and they considered it their responsibility to make sure she understood how the world worked. “What did you want to ask?”
Ari lowered her voice. “What happens when you die?”
Finn considered the question. Whatever happened to their original parents was so long ago they could barely remember and what they knew about death from the other people in their life, well, it was a little confusing. But they weren’t about to admit they didn’t know the answer to something, that was for sure!
“When you die…” Finn began, with all the authority of someone who knows both long division AND how to climb to the top of the swing set. “You get sent to Beast Island. Or get stuck in a portal.”
“Oh.” Ari knew all about things like that. They’d happened to her grandparents, after all. “Are those the only ways?”
“Yes,” Finn said solemnly.
“Hmm. OK. Well, that seems easy enough to avoid.” Ari nodded, apparently satisfied, and rolled over. “‘Night, Finn!”
Finn snuggled back into their bed, feeling very wise. “’Night!”
