Moon 315-Greenleaf

Flailpaw (7) seems to have been working himself too hard in the greenleaf heat and gets heat exhaustion.  With the tensions on ElementClan’s borders, he’s worried about how they will fare without him to fight.  Dawnstar’s (99) not worried though.  The Clan is strong.  And has plenty of dark-cursed cats.  They even have a couple of star-blessed cats, which is a little weird for them.  Dawnstar does like Burdockbeam (31), though, and surprises her with a day off from patrols.  More time for her to prank cats. . .Aphidwhisker (12) loves playing with the way the dark and light emanating off her pelt looks.  Cavecatcher (73) is jealous of her.  Tanglechirp (62) chats quietly about it with him while they’re on guard duty.  Even so, Aphidwhisker is closer to her dad than Dapplepaw (12) is and smiles at him whenever they meet.  Copperheart (31) has decided that making cats fight each other is her favorite brand of trouble to cause.  She starts a fight between Hatchswipe (60) and Pebbletuft (48) that leaves the healer fuming.  Pebbletuft also wishes that Mistypaw (7) would show more initiative in his training.  She’s disappointed in him (like she has any say in his training, at all).  She complains about him (and Hatchswipe) to Longpelt (29).  Longpelt is impressed by her insight into their fellow clanmates.  Cinderblockpuddle (234), despite being old and injured, wants to sneak out of camp with Flailpaw (who is also injured).  Pebbletuft catches them and scares them back to their nests.  Croucheye (26) doesn’t know if she’s ready for an apprentice.  She feels like she’s too jumpy.  An owl scared her last night.  An owl!  How embarrassing. Her apprentice, Mistypaw, knows that the warrior code says elders must be fed first, so he brings a hare to Cinderblockpuddle and Cherviljumble (120).

Moon 314-Newleaf

Dawnstar (98) has broken a tradition that has been held for longer than any cat can remember; he gave an unproven dark-cursed cat an apprentice.  Aphidpaw (11) has been given the warrior name of Aphidwhisker, in honor of her friendliness.  Almost immediately afterwards, Dawnstar gave her Scorchpaw (6) as an apprentice.  The Clan watches uneasily as the two young cats head out on patrols together.  There’s a deep sense of something wrong.  But Bluestripe (89) doesn’t think so.  She had a pretty big say in giving Aphidwhisker an apprentice early.  She remembers how frustrated she was with getting proven so much later than her siblings and how that meant she couldn’t have an apprentice.  She trusts Aphidwhisker, and trusts that she’ll do well with Scorchpaw.  Hopcurl and Greenrapid’s other kits have also been made apprentices.  Minnowpaw (6) is apprenticed to Bluestripe.  The young cat is nervous.  She wonders if she’ll be an apprentice forever.  Flailpaw (6) has been apprenticed to Hollowminnow (15).  He keeps searching the crowd during his ceremony, thinking he might spot Greenrapid.  He never knew his mother, but he still feels like she should be there.  Mistypaw (6) is apprenticed to Croucheye (25).  The warrior is a little unsure if she’s ready for an apprentice, especially one like Mistypaw who seems to think he knows the rules better than she does.  What if he’s right?  Meanwhile, Hatchswipe (59) remembers how the senior warriors took her under their wing when she was young, and decides to try and be a similar role model for Mitemask (15).  She tells her a hilarious joke, making Mitemask laugh.  The pranking continues, with Copperheart (30) deciding to team up with Sofanthiel (103) to play a prank on a clanmate.  Little does Sofanthiel know that she is that Clanmate.  She’s good-natured about it when Copperheart drops fox-dung on her head, though.  Petalfrost (26) and Peatfeather (26) are finding other cats in the Clan who like them!  Petalfrost, Longpelt (28), and Aphidwhisker are getting closer, while Peatfeather and Cavecatcher (72) find that they have a lot in common.  Not all of the cats like them, though, and Dapplepaw (11) tells jokes about Petalfrost to Scorchpaw.  While on patrol, Boulderflood (30), Nettlestripe (83), and Dapplepaw hear screams coming from a nearby lake.  They find a twoleg trying to drown a cat in a bag.  Boulderflood and Dapplepaw create a wave to wash the bag towards them while Nettlestripe starts a fire to scare off the twoleg.  The elderly Cinderblockpuddle (233) is thankful for their help and joins the Clan.  It turns out that he is weakly star-blessed.  Although this is similar to how Dawnstar proved himself, it’s not the same.  Dawnstar fought off the twoleg all on his own, whereas Dapplepaw relied heavily on her mentor.

Note: On this moon, Spotfoot died while lost at the age of 95 moons. He was Creekstar's longest-lived and last surviving kit. I was really rooting for him to make it back to the Clan, but it was not to be.

Moon 311-Leaf-bare

ElementClan is feeling the tension with the other Clans.  Burdockbeam (27) knows that, if there’s a battle, it’ll be her first chance to show that she’s a skilled fighter.  However, she ends up training too hard with Hollowpaw (12) and sprains her paw.  Meanwhile, Dawnstar (95) decides that one of the apprentices is ready for her warrior name.  He gives Mitepaw (12) the name of Mitemask, in honor of her enthusiasm.  He has to call her name a couple of times though before she pays attention.  She’s too busy watching a fluttering leaf that seems to vanish before her eyes.  Cavecatcher (69) is proud of Mitemask.  He’s also one of the Clan’s most experienced warriors and Croucheye (22) is impressed with how well he fights.  Kestrelcreek (100) is also proud of Mitemask and is starting to recover from losing her mates.  She enjoys spending time with Nettlestripe (80) and discussing Clan news with him.  Nettlestripe also complains that Hollowpaw never does anything helpful.  While Kestrelcreek is a little offended at his criticism of her son, she does understand it.  He always seems to be getting into trouble.  Mitemask seems a little jumpy lately and keeps startling at things no one else can see while on a patrol.  Despite him being completely unhelpful in raising their kits, Bluestripe (86) still loves Tanglechirp (58).  She purrs for a long time at one of his dad jokes.  Their kits definitely have differing personalities though.  Where Aphidpaw (8) is a little annoying with how much the older cats in the Clan seem to like her, Dapplepaw (8) is much more reserved.  She is surprised when Aries (77) spends some time with her instead of her sister and thanks her earnestly when she grooms a hard to reach spot for her.  Pebbletuft (44) and Bumble (88) are struggling to get along without Lakepelt there.  Pebbletuft is frustrated with the way the senior medicine cat does things and gets in a fight with him.  Peatfeather (23) and Embershell (29) have a bit of a history of not getting along.  They have one good day but then Embershell messes it up by mentioning that she feels like the kits in camp are annoying.  Peatfeather quite likes them.  Pebbletuft also senses war on the horizon (or maybe she’s excited for it) and talks with Dawnstar and Bluestripe about how the Clan could utilize their dark-cursed members to fight.  Minnowkit (3) and Flailkit (3) are proving to be closer to each other than they are their other siblings.  Minnowkit is worried about being an apprentice because she’s afraid of disappointing the Clan. Flailkit is listening to her, but jumps when he hears a croaking frog, creating a big wave that drenches his siblings, most of the other cats in camp, and washes the frog away. Meanwhile,  Scorchkit (3) is listening to Kestrelcreek tell stories about Clan history and wonders about the unknown.  Why did Yuccawillow turn out the way she did?  Do dark-cursed cats really have a connection to the Dark Forest?  Why can’t powerless cats be leader? Kestrelcreek doesn’t have answers for her.

Moon 295-Leaf-fall

The Clan had a bit of a scare this moon when Creekstar (149) was struck by lightning and lost a life.  It’s a reminder to them all that she’s getting old.  None of them have ever been in a Clan without her as leader.  Creekstar hopes that Dawnfreckle (79) is ready to step up into leadership, because she feels that she’ll be gone within the next twelve moons.  In better news, Kestrelcreek (84) and Almondback’s (66) kits have been made apprentices!  Rimepaw (6) is apprenticed to Cavecatcher (53), just as he had hoped.  Crouchpaw (6) is apprenticed to Alderflight (51) to help her gain some confidence.  Troutpaw (6) is apprenticed to Bluestripe (70), as she did well with her previous apprentice.  Now that Cavecatcher is more mature, Brightmouse (70) has noticed how kind he is.  She corrects his hunting stance and brushes up against him, purring.  Dawnfreckle, as a new deputy, makes sure to spend time with the younger cats in the Clan.  During a break from training, he and Troutpaw play mossball with each other, using his wind powers to play it with a flying mossball.  He also makes some time to share tongues with Hopcurl (13).    The Ground and Sky kits are still feeling a little left out.  Basaltpaw (7) doesn’t get the joke Burdockpaw (11) was telling Boulderpaw (11).  She said it was something only star-blessed cats could understand.  Skypaw (7) was also rude to Alderflight.  Petalpaw (7) and Peatpaw (7) seem to be getting along with the other cats better, though.  Peatpaw and Cavecatcher have become friends and enjoy spending time with each other.  Petalpaw also covers for Rimepaw when she wants a break from training.  Even though  Kestrelcreek isn’t the most senior warrior, she has been in the Clan the longest.  She gathers up the apprentices and tells them about what times were like when she was an apprentice, and all the cats she used to know.  Alderflight and Downgaze (76) are still close friends and are getting closer.  Alderflight thinks it’s amusing how grumpy Downgaze manages to look all the time and teases him about it.

Moon 292-Greenleaf

Longpaw (6) has been made an apprentice!  And with Creekstar (146) as a mentor.  The leader hasn’t taken on an apprentice since Bluestripe (67) was an apprentice, but, with every other fire-blessed or dark-cursed cat in the Clan already having an apprentice, Creekstar felt she had no other choice.  She hopes she does a good job with him.  In a bit of a twist, Bluestripe and Tanglechirp (39)  have become mates!  It seems that Bluestripe actually found someone she liked.  The rejection club will not be getting a third member.  Perhaps part of why Bluestripe chose Tanglechirp is that he’s proving to be quite good with kits.  Crouchkit (3) always wants to be him in her and her sisters’ games and Troutkit (3) is trying very hard to get his attention.  By walking along an unstable log.  Great idea.  Meanwhile, Cavecatcher (50) really hopes that he’ll have an apprentice soon.  He’s hoping that Creekstar will let him train Rimekit (3).  He’s grown quite fond of the little cat.  Boulderpaw (8) is proving that she’s going to make a great warrior one day.  When Petalkit (4) was grabbed by a hawk, Boulderpaw cleverly used a combination of wind and bursts of fire shot at the bird to get it to drop Petalkit.  Her low power-level didn’t hold her back!  Creekstar is impressed with her.  Even though he’s crushing on Alderflight (48), Downgaze (73) still makes time for his mate and goes on a nice moonlit stroll with Sweet Marmalade (77).  However, trouble continues to brew among the terrible triad.  Skipneedle (67) is frustrated with how much time Brightmouse (67) is spending laying around camp (she’s actually keeping an eye on Kestrelcreek’s-81-kits for her).  Bluestripe is staying out of their drama.  Since Skipneedle is training her sister, Copperpaw (8)  has been spending some time with the deputy.  She really admires her.    Echomoor may also be trying to reach out to Emberpaw (10), because the apprentice had a very strange dream.

Moon 287-Leaf-bare

After many moons of not having any kits, the nursery is full!  In addition to Whorlstorm’s (32) three kits, a ChaffinchClan queen leaves her litter with the Clan and Downgaze (68) and Sweet Marmalade (72) adopt them.  One of them, the sweet Hopkit (5), is water-blessed while the other two, who are both polite, are fire-blessed.  The she-kit is fittinginly named Emberkit (5) and the other is named Echokit (5), after Echomoor, Downgaze’s dead brother.  Additionally, Kestrelcreek (76) has announced that she is expecting kits!  Almondback (58) is excited.  And nervous.  He tries to set a good example for the younger cats in the Clan.   As a break from the business of Clan life, Kestrelcreek and Almondback have a nice little training session before Kestrelcreek moves to the nursery.  Almondback feels wild and free as he playfully pounces on Kestrelcreek.  He doesn’t know the last time he’s felt this light. However, all this good news is tempered by Whorlstorm’s death.  She couldn’t recover from giving birth and passed away, leaving her kits without their mother and Hatchswipe (32) the only survivor of Downgaze and Rootwing’s litter (look at that, more trauma in the Brightfalcon family).  Copperkit (3) misses cuddling with her mom and wants to learn more about what her mom was like as a kit.  Downgaze, who’s also in the nursery caring for his new kits, is glad to share what he remembers.  Hatchswipe has decided not to deal with her sister’s death and is instead sparring with Kestrelcreek.  She does make time to help care for her sister’s kits, though, and helps Boulderkit (3) pick burrs out of her fur.  Downgaze, having decided to help care for his orphaned grand-kits,  is feeling a little overwhelmed with six kits under his care and asks Sofanthiel (76) for some help.  She’s surprised, as she thought he had everything figured out, but helps out with the kits willingly.  It seems there may be a bit of a polycule brewing.  Downgaze is crushing on Alderflight (43) while his mate and Lakepelt (95) are crushing on each other.  Maybe he’ll have better luck than his great-grandparents? While Cavecatcher (45) is trying to be more mature, Greenrapid (43) is still acting like the young warrior she is.  She steps on Aries’ (53) foot and pretends not to notice.  Creekstar (141) just can’t seem to get along with her deputies.  First, she and Primcrest fell out, and now she’s fighting with Skipneedle (62).  Skipneedle feels like Creekstar needs to step down and/or take a break.  She’s been sick/grieving for moons and Skipneedle thinks a break would really help with her mental health.  But Creekstar is determined to serve her Clan until StarClan takes her.

Meta: Echokit’s original name was Fawnkit, but he looks like Echomoor and was adopted by Downgaze (Echomoor’s brother).  Also, the parent listed for the litter is a male loner but the game says that a Chaffinchclan queen left her litter with ElementClan, so the loner is their bio dad. Additionally, I'm going to start noting when a cat gets a new personality or trait, so that's why Copperkit is mentioned.

Moon 286-Leaf-bare

Nettlestripe (55) is feeling a little left out.  It feels like a lot of the cats in the Clan are finding love, and he’s still alone.  He decides to confess his feelings to Bluestripe (61), but she rejects him.  He likes her more than she likes him.  In other Clan news, another powerless former kittypet has joined the Clan, who takes the name of Cherviljumble (91).  With the Clan growing again, even in leaf-bare, Creekstar (140) is feeling like things are looking up.  She playfully teases Dawnfreckle (69) for missing a catch and lets Lakepelt (94) know that, despite their recent troubles, she appreciates how hard she works as a medicine cat.  Downgaze (67) is spending some time with his grandkits.  He grew up in a family of dark-cursed cats, so it’s weird for him to realize that he has star-blessed relatives now.  He spends some time playing with Boulderkit (2).  Meanwhile, Skipneedle (61) feels like Burdockkit (2), who’s always been a little troublemaker, needs to learn how to listen to adults rather than just doing her own thing.  So she’s bossing the kit around.  Her sister, Brightmouse (61), also is not a fan of Whorlstorm’s (31) litter.  She can’t stand Copperkit (2) and hopes that she won’t have to mentor her.  Almondback (57) and Kestrelcreek (75) enjoy a moment of downtime together.  They talk about what they want from the rest of their lives and find that their goals align: they both want to keep the cats they care about safe.  Sweet Marmalade (71) had a run of luck with not being in the Healer’s den, but that has ended now that he has whitecough.  He also can’t seem to get along with both of his kits at once.  He’s made up with Whorlstorm but now Hatchswipe (31) is annoyed with him .  Cavecatcher (44) is trying to take on more of a mentoring role this moon.  He’s used to being one of the babies in the Clan, but that’s not really true anymore.  He talks with Creekstar about getting an apprentice one day and gives some advice to Copperkit.  Tanglechirp (33) doesn’t seem to realize that some of the things he does are offensive.  He takes a piece of prey that Greenrapid was eyeing and the two of them get in a fight.  He also told Lakepelt someone else’s secret. Oops. With Whorlstorm feeling a little sick after having kits, Skipneedle makes sure to check in on her and gives her the last piece of fresh-kill on the pile.  She’s sure that she can find some more.  Aries (52) is doing her best to be a good mediator and cheers up Alderflight after he has a small disagreement with Downgaze.  She also makes sure to get to know the younger members of the Clan and shares fresh-kill with Copperkit.  Kestrelcreek is getting closer to Brightmouse and asks her more about Frostblotch.  Brightmouse is glad to talk about her sister, as she feels like cats forget about her and instead focus on Archdapple.

Meta: I think that the conflict between Sweet Marmalade and his adoptive kits is technically Brightfalcon family drama. Downgaze’s kits are Graysong’s great-great grandchildren and Brightfalcon and Bushmask’s great-great-great grandchildren. Also, take two on the adoptive father family drama.

Moon 283-Leaf-fall

It turned out that Cragstem (34) could not beat redcough and died.  Well, at least the healers tried.  Sofanthiel (72) recovered from her whitecough only to immediately get her tail mangled by a dog.  Oof.  With Whorlstorm (28) pregnant, Creekstar (137) is keeping an eye out for her granddaughter.  She offers to groom a hard to reach place for her.  It feels weird for Creekstar to think that she'll be a great-grandmother soon.  And that means that her grandparents will be great great great grandparents.  Weird.  With Creekstar getting older, it’s looking more and more likely that Skipneedle (58) could be the next leader of ElementClan.  She wonders who would give her nine lives and hopes that she’d get to see her dead sisters again.  Downgaze (64) and Sweet Marmalade (68) spend some time in the Healer’s den with Alderflight (39).  Downgaze appreciates it when Alderflight tells him about a feather that had gotten stuck to his face. And purrs for a long time at one of Sweet Marmalade’s jokes.  While Cavecatcher (41) also enjoys spending time with Alderflight, Greenrapid (39) just thinks the former kittypet is annoying.

Moon 282-Leaf-fall

The Healer’s den was almost empty! Creekstar (136) had finally begun to move on from Primcrest’s death, leaving Lakepelt (90) just caring for the injured Alderflight (38) and Greenrapid (38).  But then Hatchswipe (27) and Sofanthiel (71) got whitecough and the population in the Healer’s den doubled.  But in a spot of desperately needed news, Whorlstorm (27) has announced that she is expecting kits!  These will be the first kits born in the Clan since she herself was born.  Whorlstorm and Sweet Marmalade (67) have had a bit of a rough relationship lately, but they had a conversation that went well.  Maybe the birth of his grandkits will help even more.  Dawnfreckle (65) continues to not be a big fan of Alderflight and is jealous of his warm, long fur.  Even with weak fire magic, it’s hard to stay warm while out on patrols.  Although Brightmouse (57) does her best to regulate the camp’s temperature while she’s there.  Downgaze (63) still really enjoys spending time with Alderflight and hopes that, once he’s up to going on patrols, they are assigned to go out together.  Also, apparently, Alderflight is a very skilled fighter, because both Cavecatcher and Almondback want to compliment his technique. The terrible triad is still having a bit of trouble.  Skipneedle (57) is developing a bit of a crush on Almondback (53), which does not thrill Brightmouse, as Brightmouse has a crush on Almondback’s mate, Kestrelcreek (71).  Yeah.  Drama.  The loss of Archdapple and Skipneedle’s promotion to deputy seem to be hitting the sisters hard.  In the short time she’s been in the Clan, Sofanthiel has made herself well liked.  Almondback sees how considerate she is and Sweet Marmalade (67) notices that she’s really making an effort to help out around camp, despite being sick.  Despite being close in age, Greenrapid and Cavecatcher (40) have never been very close.  But now Greenrapid is starting to notice just how pretty Cavecatcher’s eyes are.   .  The Clan also welcomes another couple of kittypets!  Skipneedle, Sweet Marmalade, Cavecatcher, and Bluestripe (57) find a powerless former kittypet named Cragstem (33) who has redcough.  There’s a pretty good chance he won’t survive, but they take him back to Lakepelt anyways.  Dawnfreckle and Nettlestripe (51) also find a kittypet, named Tanglechirp (29), who joins the Clan.  In a bit of a surprise, he has magic!  A medium strength wind-blessing, which is much needed as Almondback is currently the only wind-blessed cat in the Clan.

Moon 280-Greenleaf

Instead of processing her grief, Creekstar (134) has decided to spend time with the middle-ranked warriors.  She makes sure to share prey with her son and tells a joke to Greenrapid (36) that makes her laugh.  Bluestripe (55) is still not a fan of Creekstar.  She thinks the leader is very stuck up and rude. In the wake of tragedy, Hatchswipe (25) and Kestrelcreek (69) have become the best of friends.  Kestrelcreek really appreciates how helpful Hatchswipe is around camp.  She always seems to be busy doing something!   Almondback (51) decides to take Kestrelcreek on a nice date and surprises her with a pretty wind show.  She’s a little perplexed, but appreciates the gesture.  Whorlstorm (25) is not doing as well in the Clan as her sister is.  She doesn’t get along with Sweet Marmalade (65), her adoptive father, and thinks that Cavecatcher (38) never does anything.  Whorlstorm does like Nettlestripe (49), though, and goes on a nice long walk with him.  The newcomer to the Clan, Sofanthiel (69), is surprised to hear about all the hardships that Whorlstorm has been through recently.  She’s a little worried to learn that Clan life isn’t as easy as she thought it was.  She also wants to get to know Nettlestripe better.  The Clan also welcomes another new member.  Nettlestripe and Cavecatcher find an injured former loner by the thunderpath and bring him back to the Clan.  His name is Alderflight (36) and he’s powerless.

Meta: I actually added 15 moons to Alderflight’s in-game age. He has a cute romance with a cat later on, but, at his original age, he would have been younger than that cat's kits. So, I aged him up. Problem solved.

Lakepelt (87) is trying to convince Creekstar (133) to take better care of herself.  Creekstar is not in a mood to listen and is instead annoyed by what she interprets as Lakepelt’s ‘negative comments’.  Lakepelt can’t help but feel like the hard times are not yet over for ElementClan.  She just feels an overwhelming sense of dread.  Kestrelcreek’s (68) friendship with Hatchswipe (24) continues to deepen, and she is proud of how the younger cat is handling herself.  Dawnfreckle (62) is also quite close to Hatchswipe and feels safe with her around, even though she’s powerless and he’s dark-cursed.  She’s just a very reassuring presence.  He also likes spending time with Cavecatcher (37).  The younger cat has been feeling a little down with all the loss in the Clan recently, and Dawnfreckle knows just what to say to make him feel better.  A good joke heals any ailment (or so he says).   As the most senior warrior, Kestrelcreek is trying to set a good example for the young cats (not that there are any cats under two years old. . .)  In some much needed good news, the Clan has gained a new member!  The powerless former kittypet Sofanthiel (68) joins and is excited to start a new life.

Meta: In this moon, the game tried to make Brightmouse and Dawnfreckle mates.  I said no.  Brightmouse is a lesbian and Dawnfreckle’s been in love with Bluestripe for years.  So, I broke them up.

Moon 272-Leaf-fall

Creekstar (126) decides to make sure that Lilacdrizzle (39) isn’t sucking up to Stonepaw (11) just because he’s star-blessed.  Her generation saw firsthand the problems that can cause.  She brings it up to him, but the two get in a fight that Hopedawn (61)  has to break up.  She’s not thrilled about having to mediate a fight between her leader and her son. Creekstar has also decided to get over herself and stop blaming Hollypaw (11) for Vaxxstreak’s death.  She decides to cheer up the young cat and hides behind a bush, ready to pounce.  Unlike some of the other young warriors, Greenrapid (28) gets along well with the senior warriors.  Primcrest (114) is glad to have a clanmate like her and Rubbleheart (68) likes how curious she is.  Tumbleswoop (61) notices that Brightmouse (47) still hasn’t fully recovered from losing Shinebreak.  She’s much more distant and withdrawn than she used to be.  He decides to see if she wants advice about moving on from lost love, or just a shoulder to lean on.  He knows what losing a mate is like, even if he does have Rubbleheart now.  Meanwhile, Tumbleswoop’s sisters are getting along well with each other and their clanmates.  Hopedawn is impressed by how insightful Kestrelcreek (61) is and Kestrelcreek bonds with Cavecatcher (30) while on camp guard duty.  Downgaze (53) decides to take his role as adoptive father to Stonepaw more seriously and offers him help with training.  Nettlestripe (41) thinks that Streamhiss (43) is really charming.  Her fierce personality just makes him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  Almondback (43) is feeling protective of his sister and is not a big fan of Nettlestripe.  Primcrest and Creekstar have been having some difficulties lately and decided to go for a walk to try and sort them out.  They didn’t do that, but they did see a twoleg kit playing with a dog.  Fascinating.

Moon 254-Newleaf

The terrible triad is now back to being the fearsome foursome!  After a long, hard journey, Archpaw (29) has found her way back to the Clan.  In a much overdue (and much celebrated) ceremony, she is given the warrior name of Archdapple in honor of her spirit.  She’s already making her sisters laugh with her antics, although she is saddened to hear of Frostblotch’s death and the loss of Brightmouse’s (29) mate.  And it’s good news for Paleburst (33) to have a star-blessed cat in the Clan who can assist with healing.  She helps Sweet Marmalade (39) heal from his broken bone, only for him to immediately get his tail injured by falling rocks.  Primcrest (96) feels like they should just declare Skipneedle (29) and Bluestripe (29) proven already, but Creekstar (108) disagrees, leading to an argument.  However, their argument turns out to be somewhat unnecessary when Skipneedle saves Spotfoot (35) from a dog and selflessly takes the lion’s share of the run leading the dog away from the territory.  That earns her the title of proven.  Her sisters are glad to celebrate with her. Vaxxstreak (140) is also excited to have Archdapple back and tells her an embarrassing story about Skipneedle.  Dawnfreckle (37) sees Bluestripe stumble while hunting and thinks it’s cute that the usually poised she-cat can stumble.  Nettlestripe (23) is not a fan of the Clan’s youngest warrior and thinks that Cavecatcher (12) is annoying.

Moon 253-Newleaf

Paleburst (32) is overwhelmed.  There are too many cats in the Clan and he can’t take care of them all on his own.  None of the dark-cursed cats can help him and Rindlefur (20) just died of whitecough.  Whitecough!  He’s doing his best but he’s not sure if he can keep up.  Paleburst is even so busy that he ignores Nettlestripe (22) when he says hello. In a spot of good news, Downgaze (34) has announced that he’s expecting kits.  Yay!  And Cavepaw (11)  has been made a warrior with the name of Cavecatcher in honor of his dedication.  Dawnfreckle (36) is proud of his former apprentice.  Bluestripe (28) looks at Dawnfreckle’s fighting techniques and is wowed by them.  Maybe he could show her a couple. Creekstar (107) wonders if Brightmouse (28) could help her with defending the borders, but Brightmouse refuses, saying she needs more time to grieve before jumping right back into battle.  And besides, she hasn’t been able to conjure a flame in weeks.  Vaxxstreak (139) understands that Creekstar is stressed and adds a bit of her fluff to his nest.    Primcrest (95)  is keeping watch over Greenpaw’s (9) journey as an apprentice and making sure that he’s doing alright.  He’s not really falling behind-he just feels that way.   And he’s been trying to find ways to cheer up his mentor.  He turns sparring practice into a tickle fight, making Brightmouse laugh a little.

Moon 319-Leaf-fall

With the lack of herbs and the severity of his wounds, the healers couldn’t do much for Cavecatcher (77).  Not even their earth magic could help him and he died from his mangled tail.  The Clan blames StumpyClan and negotiations go poorly at the Gathering.  Hopcurl (37) and Peatfeather (31) help bury Cavecatcher, as Cherviljumble’s (124) joints have been too sore to do much lately. As the war continues, Flailpaw (11) worries that he and his siblings are growing up too fast.  He’s been on the front lines pretty much his whole apprenticeship and he’s feeling worn down.  Meanwhile, his brother, Mistypaw (11) has been made a warrior with the name of Mistytooth in honor of his observance.  Hopcurl is proud of xer kit and knows that he’ll be able to make it through anything.  Mistytooth is less confident in himself.  Dawnstar (103) is proud of him, though, and wants to spend more time with him.  Nettlestripe (88) tried talking with Hopcurl about the war and was disappointed when all xey wanted to do was talk about how proud xey are of xer kits.  Boring.  Copperheart (35) and Hollowminnow (20) spend some time together, coming up with pranks.  Boulderflood (35) wishes the two of them would focus on using their minds for the war instead of silly antics.  Mitemask (20) agrees and the two of them bond over their annoying siblings. Aphidwhisker (16) and Hollowminnow spend some time talking with each other about how their apprentices are doing and find out that they have a lot in common.  Aphidwhisker shows off a bit of dark-cursed magic, draining a small plant and then regrowing it with her earth powers.  Hollowminnow is impressed.  Flailpaw tries to ask Aphidwhisker for some help, but she turns him away.  She’s far too busy showing off her magic.  Oh, and training Scorchpaw (11).  While Boulderflood might disagree, Burdockbeam (35) feels like her shenanigans lighten the mood in camp.  Dapplemuzzle can’t help but feel like the worst of the war is yet to come.  In the Dark Forest, Yuccawillow lashes her tail while thinking about Dawnstar.  He’s Primcrest’s son.  If he suffers, she may suffer in StarClan.
