As far as tv meteorologists go, I could never take rob marciano seriously. Like, I know you tried to pivot to serious broadcast news, but you will always be the guy who had lukewarm chemistry w Nancy O’Dell or whatever her name was on E.T. I like Ginger Zee. I liked that John guy who used to do the weather at cbsny on weekends, who also used to do the weather on the wcbs morning radio show with the cranky republican old man and Patti Steele. And I like Lee Goldberg ok. He’s the David Muir of weather guys. Don’t care for Lonnie whoever.

Del sofá a la gran pantalla: la nostalgia por el cine gana al doom scrolling

Lejos de lo que cabría esperar, el auge de las plataformas de streaming como Netflix no ha reducido las visitas al cine, sino que ha despertado un interés renovado por la experiencia en la gran pantalla. La paradoja parece radicar en que al facilitar el acceso inmediato a un sinfín de producciones, los servicios de streaming han generado en los espectadores un deseo de buscar algo distinto, más envolvente y especial que lo que se consume en casa. Los maratones y estrenos simultáneos han saturado a los usuarios, quienes encuentran en el cine una experiencia más pausada y auténtica.

La convivencia entre el streaming y el cine se está redefiniendo de una forma inesperada. En lugar de competir por captar la misma atención, ambos medios parecen complementarse y equiliibrarse; Mientras el streaming permite un consumo rápido y sin compromisos, el cine se presenta como un evento, algo que se disfruta con más atención y se comparte. Es posible que el público haya comenzado a valorar más la ocasión social, el entorno y el ritual que solo se puede vivir en una sala de cine, dándole un nuevo significado a lo que hasta hace poco parecía en peligro de extinción.

El diálogo que antes era "Nah, no vayamos al cine, que tengo Netflix en casa", está evolucionando a "No veamos está peli en casa pudiéndola ver en el cine".

Estos fenómenos revelan que, en un mundo dominado por la inmediatez digital, el ser humano aún desea y extraña experiencias que le permitan desconectar de la saturación diaria. Al final, el cine logra captar nuestra atención de una forma que el contenido a la carta no puede replicar: La pantalla grande, el ambiente compartido y la expectativa parecen estar dando al cine una segunda vida, desafiando el pronóstico de quienes lo veían ya en declive frente a la popularidad de las plataformas digitales :) !
