I've been active in the Bughead fandom since 2018, and while we've seen brighter days, I wouldn't trade meeting so many of you for anything! Okay now tell me please about your jabitha fic!!

Liv just accidentally hit on one of the two jabitha fics in the folder, and the other one is Post Rescue Jabitha Fic, which went with the premise that Jughead was kidnapped after 5x10 (I still maintain this made as much or more sense than him wandering off) and Betty and Tabitha rescue him. It starts with Jughead's reaction to rescue, and then it's supposed to continue through his recovery in the hospital and him working out his feelings re: Betty, Jessica, and Tabitha, and then he gets out of the hospital and he and Tabitha talk and confess and start dating. The only part that's really written is that first part, tbh.

He didn’t hear Betty’s response, too focused on the furrow of the brows on Tabitha’s face, the worry in her eyes. He wanted to reassure her, one hand steady on her shoulder, the other hand gently cupping her face with his thumb rubbing the apple of her cheek to smooth it all away.

Huh, he thought. It's you.

“Hey, Tabs,” he didn’t think he’d called her that out loud before, always keeping it private in his thoughts, afraid to cross a line, but his head was fuzzy, too full of she’s here she’s here, and he felt himself fading, “‘m glad it’s you.”

It was rather lacking in romance, but in his defense, he passed out again before he could continue.

And then after I get through rescue stuff it becomes extremely jumbled because of Jughead's dumb brain. Idk, hopefully I'll get through it eventually? I actually kind of want to write a bugabitha version with the same premise, tbh, although I might combine that with a soulmate au idea I have (well, one of them)? Or maybe I'd combine this one with the other soulmate idea? Idk, I'm still puzzling stuff out.

Hiya hiya - is there a set amount of weeks planned? Or is it just like- until the hiatus is over ? Oh and if inspiration strikes after post day can one post for a previous week? - all the love 😘

Originally we’d planned for the Promptathon to run for seven weeks—but then the hiatus got extended (womp womp). 

We’re going to run with the planned 7 weeks for now (with a minibreak scheduled somewhere in there, tba), and then perhaps extend the Promptathon another few weeks, depending on interest and participation.

And definitely feel free to post belated submissions for weeks past. The aim is for everyone to have a bunch of new stuff to look forward to on Wednesday, but it’s just as nice to get some unexpected surprises too!

Actually, it’s something I’ve been planning to pitch as an animated series now, so I’ve been on the down low with most of the story and production now aside from some bits and pieces (mostly the out of context Bughead stuff)! But you could see some other stuff I don’t post in my livestreams tho.

I’d like to eventually take it to Archie Comics once I get the story worked out more and then get the pitch together and then see what studio we take it to. I think it would be best as a Netflix series personally. I think 3 seasons would be about enough for the story I want to tell and have been working around that.

I instantly smiled w glee seeing that you did the wip snippet game- and I wanna ask about every single one 😂 but! I shall restrain myself, tho I badly wanna know what ridiculous/absurd/horrid/hilarious idea wrangled itself into your mind and wouldn’t leave until you wrote it?👀

In terms of things I've actually finished, it was really wet dreams may come that burrowed into my brain and wouldn't let me go until I wrote it. The damn thing had a stranglehold on my idle mind, and it came out pretty easily in a couple of sittings, something that has not happened before or since, unfortunately, excepting a few of the chapters of The Looming Fog and Other Strange Happenings.

“Boys, I promise you there will be plenty of refreshments at the hotel,” Veronica says, holding up her hands as they walk inside the diner. “So there’ll be no need to waste our time with bottom shelf tequila.” 

Reggie holds the door open for her and Archie and then lets it swing shut when he follows close behind.

“Meaning what?” He shrugs his shoulders animatedly. “A whole week of room service and beach-front margaritas?”   

“Something like that,” Veronica says with an enigmatic smile, sitting them down at the cleanest looking booth in the place. “Why not? It’s all on me.”

“I dunno, Ronnie,” Archie says sheepishly, sliding across the seat toward the window to make room for Reggie. “I mean, isn’t this all gonna be pretty expensive?” 

Reggie blows a raspberry with his tongue and whacks the back of Archie’s head with his palm. 

“Dude, don’t be a buzzkill,” he says, leaning his arm against Archie’s shoulder and flipping open a menu. “Seriously, Ronnie, this trip was a great idea.” 

“Thank you, Reggie,” Veronica says, still smiling, though she suddenly seems a bit more tense. “But, um... okay, listen, I have to come clean about something. Please don’t hate me?”

Archie and Reggie exchange a dubious look. 

“Come on, Ron. Why would we hate you?” Archie is a little afraid of what she might say next, but he smiles at her anyway in a way he hopes is reassuring.

“I… may have invited you both on this trip under slightly false pretenses,” she begins slowly. “But let me explain.”
