I believe, from Hak’s reaction here (chapter 243), that he never truly moved on.

He says he will forget his vow to Suwon now, like he never did, until this very moment.

Now he says “there is no going back”.

He was waiting for an occasion to hear an explanation from Suwon but he never got the chance to talk to him before.

He was somehow hanging on the possibility that things could be solved, that things could return to the way he imagined them to be when they were all still happily living at the castle.

And now he is realizing it's not possible, it never was.

He is realizing he needs to let go of that hope that kept him going on until now.

And it hurts.

The little talk between Soo Won and Hak

It is hilarious that Hak does not understand, that Yona is even now not able to rule alone, let alone before her 16 birthday when she lived as a pampered princess.

The people of Kouka do not deserve a “potential candidate”, but a capable ruler. Soo Won is not able to foresee the future...Yona could have even been crushed by the truths she had to learn...I do think it is hilarious.

And no...Yona is not Soo Won´s equal...at least not yet. She has much to learn until she is ready...And it is not selfish of Soo Won to make her queen.

She can literally not take the offer...and Soo Won does not need to care...he is dead then...Should the living fight...He has done enough.

Soo Won helped Yona greatly as much as he hurt her...The kingdom would have been shattered if he had not acted...

And honestly...Soo Won is dying...why does Hak just selfishly think about “his dream?”...Does he think that Soo Won only exists to please him? I mean that is selfish...just saying.

man dude bro its too easy for kenjaku to die like that. i saw some great theories about how the brain thing of kanjaku's would maybe take over yuta or takaba's body. and someone said that yuta killed geto twice technically, since the second time was in geto's body but with kenjaku. also, yuta killed him again on the same day as in jjk0, the 24th of december. anyways, im kinda glad he's dead, possible for now, because that arc was getting kinda boring. i know the culling game arc isnt over as soon as kenjaku dies, i jsut meant the random chapters, showing takaba's technique, they were getting kinda confusing and boring. anways, i guess im excited for enxt week's chapter. also, REST IN PEACE, NANAMIN 😭

I read Eden’s Zero chapter 243.

TGCF art from 2021 which were very experimental and very much something out of my comfort zone but am still so satisfied with

(gonna ramble more under the cut 👉 )

My main inspiration for these were definitely classic storybook illustration styles and the watercolor-like illustrations included inside the tgcf books which depict hualian's daily slice of life routines as seen below

I wanted to capture that feeling of warmth i got from reading but i also went with the storybook look because their relationship (and by extension broad strokes of the entire plot) really did feel like something out of actual myth or legend; i'm chinese indonesian and was raised surrounded by chinese culture + values so tgcf felt VERY familiar to me, it threw me back to my childhood reading or listening to tales about chinese deities, i'd say the storybook image definitely came into my mind pretty quickly bc of this

I find this style somewhat hard to replicate now but if i could or have the time to, i really want to continue the 'companion pieces to chapter titles ' concept i did with the last 2 pieces (which are of the same chapter title but i was just indecisive 😭😭), i even had 3 more planned based on my favorite titles before burning out back then

No one will tell Soowon that he has worked hard enough and praise him. Soowon is also used to not being praised, thinking that this is what he should do. Everyone expects him to meet all requirements. At this point, I think Soowon is more like a god. He not only takes his own responsibilities, but also those of others.

Yeah...I was more or less speechless, when I read in those spoilers that Hak blames him "for the mess he created"...When he was the one actually sorting the mess all those adults before him created, namely above else King Il.

I think he had a really hard and brutal life with losing both of his parents at age 9, having to face the murderer of his father for years and than he has to rip out his heart, become king and trying to strengthen Kouka and its people...just to die before he is 20 years old...most likely forgotten by many people.

All these parallels between Kainess and Nagireo's relationship are insane. And chapter 234 gave us something new again.

I really like that in both cases their shared dream is shown.

However, for now I have the impression that Ness and Kaiser's sharing of the dream is somewhat one-sided.

Kaiser has his dream to cast down the rest of the football world into despair. And Ness wants it too. However, for now (and will this situation change at all? I'm not sure) Kaiser does not include Ness in his dream. Yes, Ness can help him achieve his goal, after all, he has the same goal and Michael is the main object of Ness's dream. But is Ness actually included in Kaiser's dream? Ness is more of an enabler for his dream than a part of it. Kaiser wants to defeat everyone, but with Ness or with his help? I'm leaning towards the second option. Unless the next chapters focus even more on their relationship, which I would really like.

And in the case of Reo and Nagi it is slightly different, because here the situation is certain. They are part of their dream. Their goal is to win the World Cup together, side by side. One boy's dream will not come true without the other boy's presence. Reo and Nagi's sharing of the dream is two-sided.

But none of this changes the fact that sharing a dream is a beautiful concept. When partners strive for the same goal together... because they both want the same thing.
