I think if wangxian and hualian ever get to meet, Lan wangji wouldn't be jealous of Hua Cheng but of Xie Lian cuz he would be immediately besties with Wei Wuxian and Wei Wuxian would probably treat Xie Lian like how he used to treat Jiang Yanli, acting cute and childish, offering little gifts and food, nonstop chattering, ranting about the society, being dramatic etc. And Xie Lian would absolutely ADORE Wei Wuxian, thinking him like a little brother he never had and would probably pat his head or pinch his cheeks constantly.

Hua Cheng would probably get really really annoyed at this prisky mortal clinging to his husband even if he knows there's nothing romantic going on.

Mdzs modern AU where teen Lan Wangji keeps voice recordings of himself confessing his love to Wei Wuxian, but never sends them. Wwx runs away from home & disappears for 13 years and Lwj searches for him while recording all his feelings. Maybe he keeps all of these recordings in an old MP3 player or something idk, and just, abandons it in his old house when his family moves into a new big one. And maybe one day coincidentally Wwx moves into the same house, finds the player and finds out that his first love, has been loving him back all these years, and maybe in some of the recordings, Lwj talks about how he has been writing a song for him, and that he has already decided the name of it, and in the last one, he hums the song, but doesn't say the name of it. And Wwx frantically searches for Lwj everywhere and when he finally finds him, after 13 years, the first thing he says to Lwj when he sees him,

"You didn't tell me the name of the song"

And Lwj just, freezes, not yet comprehending anything that's happening, except the fact that the love of his life is standing right in front of him and asking him a question about something he could never know unless a miracle happened, but somehow uttering the word,

"Wangxian."

The rest is history.

🌸Ferret Lian headcanon:

Do you ever think how cute, but also kinda sad it would be if Hua Cheng actually had a pet white ferret always accompanying him during those 800 years?

Maybe he found it somewhere, beaten, bruised and helpless and it reminded him of his beloved prince so he took it home, took utmost care of it. He might not let anyone touch it, worried that it would scare the ferret. He made the ferret a small bamboo hat, white/golden robes and ribbons, maybe a little umbrella, and the most expensive cutest little house for it. And the ferret, soon healthy and happy, always stays in his lap or his arms, or keeps himself warm inside Hua Cheng's sleeves. Even E-ming likes the cute white ferret and plays with it. Hua Cheng would probably immortalize the ferret somehow.🌸

🌸Post canon: Xie Lian loves the ferret so much and always carries him around like a baby. Ruoye finds a new playmate who might be the cutest being ever.🌸
