character a and character b both go camping with their families, having no idea who the other person was at the time. One day, they meet while both exploring through the woods, they slowly start to get along and walk down to the lake and sit by its side, it slowly starts to rain and they laugh while running back to one of their cabins. They get there and both dry off, deciding to spend the rest of the day together because they enjoyed their company. After around a month of hanging out with each other, they went down to the place where they had met in the woods, the sun was peering through the leaves though it had soon started to softly rain. not a thunderstorm, just a drizzle. but enough to make them soak. They start laughing again and character b just admires character a's laugh for a moment before they take their cheeks in their hands, planting a small kiss on their lips. it only lasted around five seconds, but for the two of them, it felt like a lifetime.
For clarification, I am not try to follow the story of The Phantom of the Opera by every detail. There are many similarities, but this is my own OC adaptation of it.
The story follows Teddison as he gets sent away by his father to study and become a renowned pianist. Teddison’s family line has been filled with famous musicians throughout time, and Teddison seems to be the only one who sucks absolute ass at it, being only halfway decent at the piano.
Teddison’s father sends him to multiple destinations, one of them being a historical monument, an opera where the death of a child prodigy pianist died from a falling chandelier accident.
On the tour, Teddison hears the beautiful, melodic and sad playing of a piano in the alcoves below the opera. No one else in the tour group seems to hear it but him. Straying away from the group; Teddison finds Oliver, playing alone in the alcoves.
Oliver isn’t a deformed man like the original tPotO, he is an actual ghost who haunts the ground below his death site. Having no one else to talk to and with Teddison being a beginner pianist himself, Oliver takes Teddison on as his protégé and eventually ends up falling in love with the boy.
Oliver does have deformity, but it is the result of the way he died and how the fatal blow stayed with his soul in its external form.
@akaluan Pitched in more than once for the doodle drive, so here is a second "Holiday Cat"; this one is destroying Lunar New Year decorations
No idea why my ideas of holiday cats always involve destruction... I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I had to superglue an acrylic reindeer back together this morning. Leon.
These doodles are thank-yous for those who pitched in to help fix my oven, and are now closed as the goal had been reached and the oven is fixed! Thanks everyone!
In your AU, does Lucy Gray have to be a mentor to the future generations of D12 tributes? If yes, how do people react to that? Cause I could easily see the accusations of favoritism/rigging that could generate if anyone from 12 ever started doing really good. How would that all work?
There’s actually a fic that dealt w this exact issue n i loved it SOOOOOO much, made me want to pull my intestines out of my belly button n swing. It’s v toxic not much fluff if at all lmao but check it out!
I still haven’t decided if LG should be a mentor bc like you said there could be accusations of favoritism but if that ever did happen I think it’s like an open secret that CS will kill anyone who slanders LG, if not to protect her as his wife but bc LG disrespect=CS disrespect, that’s HIS wife. On the other hand, her not being a mentor could also be seen as another form of favoritism bc she doesn’t have to deal w the trauma of “guiding” kids who were once in her place and are most likely going to end up dead days after meeting them. I think it could work if the mentorship program starts w the 11th victor, w the first 10 being except bc…. Reasons. Also the whereabouts of the first 10 victors are unknown right? minus LG ofc. Yeah i think ill go w that LMAO, LG won’t be a mentor not bc of favoritism, but bc the first 10 get to be exempt. Now as to how LG feels abt that, i think it would be so traumatizing for her to get involved, but also. It would eat her up not to help. I rly think the fic i linked dealt w it so much better than i ever could so yeee here’s the link again https://archiveofourown.org/works/51952198/chapters/131373604
i keep seeing people saying that they killed izzy for shock value a la game of thrones and i just— not every character death is there for shock value?? just because you don't expect it doesn't mean it's specific purpose is to garner shock value.
izzy very clearly represented piracy. he was steadfast and staunch in his ways and he held onto the traditions of piracy with a TIGHT fist throughout the first season and the start of the second. not to mention, s2 was ALWAYS leading to this theme of "the end of piracy". the clues were there the whole season!!! and by that logic, if izzy = piracy, then end of piracy = end of izzy.
im not happy about his death!! im disappointed hes gone!! i loved him, he was probably my favorite character this season!! BUT i do understand why djenks did it. and it was NOT a "for shock value" kind of thing.
some people are reeeeal quick to like get super defensive and jump onto this "omg it was for shock value! there was no other purpose! what bad writing! what a bad writer!" bandwagon when things they don't personally like or agree with happen on their favorite shows, but honestly not everything you don't like is "bad writing" or "just there for shock value" or "purposeless". maybe take a couple minutes to think critically about it and to like analyze the choice within the frame of the whole season and the whole show and its themes before making those kinds of (oftentimes baseless) accusations?
it's one thing to be upset with something that happened and to not like it, and it's another thing entirely to then blame it on bad writing or a clueless, vicious writer who doesn't care about their characters or their story or their audience.
Man idk I'm gonna make a hot chocolate (sugar good for the weird not eating I did todaybc stomach) and maybe start baru 3? Yeah it's a miserable series but not so completely irredemably grimdark, and it's focus grabbing and, lbr, it's a 'well I feel awful but look life isn't /that/ bad' and also I miss tau-indi and iraji a lot
there's a story that's just aching to be told and trying to claw its way out of my head and is INSISTING that it be told in webcomic form when i have not the talent nor the constitution to do so but like. what if i did
