I have realized that my awkwardness allergy comment the other day may have come off the wrong way, so in an attempt to remedy that I'm gonna list everything that was SO GOOD about the last chapter.

Niffty getting a "disguise". What little description you gave I imagine her twirling in an Alice-style pinafore. Now I wanna draw American McGee Niffty, blue dress and bloody knife. Also the Cherub being so accepting and nice to her? Great.

Emily. Just everything about Emily, I love her. Especially with Lucifer. I adore her being super chill about him fucking up her name and I need more of that in this fandom. EMILY & LUCIFER BONDING!!! And her genuinely calling him beautiful and him not getting it? Ow my fucking heart. Even more when Alastor seems to notice Lucifer doesn't get it and I just imagine him being struck by a hint of jealousy at the compliment, and then immense frustration that Lulu is so clearly oblivious to how lovely he is. Delicious.

Alastor having boosted Lulu's confidence in his wings? Alastor KEEPING THE FEATHER? T^T Also I lose my shit every time you bring something back from previous chapters. Not enough people do that shit in their writing and it is wonderful.

Alastor being absolutely haunted by Angel's little comment lol. All while knowing that Lucifer, while likely aware of the implication, was not at all thinking about it when he did it. This being of Pure Temptation having the most innocent thoughts behind a perceived lewd act is amazing and adorable and I fucking love it.

Them bickering over ice cream because Alastor is a little shit I love how dumb they are.

Angel's FUCKING ACRONYM lmao because he would.

Alastor being comfortable enough overall with Lucifer to be willing to pretend to make out with him in public despite wanting to crawl out of his skin at the concept? iofhihisifoishuoisdh

How goddamn smooth Lucifer is when putting on a performance of seduction. He is THE Original Temptation and I love it. And him still being mindful of Alastor's comfort and not actually kissing him? AAAAAAAAA 1000% better than if he'd actually kissed him this gives me life. Beauty incarnate in words.

Lucifer finding Alastor's anxious-unxperienced-yet-smooth flirtation incredibly hot and then being startled by the thought despite, y'know, everything else that's happened. XD Can't blame him since the number of relationships he's had can be counted on one hand if not one finger, but he's so internally oblivious I cannot.

"Have you been doing this with other people?" Alastor actually being somehow surprised that this millennia-old, gorgeous, adorable eldritch being, known for THE first temptation into sin, fucks? Despite the blatant evidence in Charlie's existence? And being upset about it? And additionally feeling like he needs to know about Lucifer's sexual history for...reasons? Possessive much? XDDDD

And then being stunned silent at the suggestion and likely realization that he is, in fact, jealous, and probably still not knowing why? And Lucifer's oblivious teasing and then absolute confusion and awkwardness when Alastor DOESN'T DENY IT UGH had me kicking and screaming like a teenage girl.

And again, I'm hyper-sensitive to awkward so me being uncomfy isn't unexpected when Lucifer is by nature an awkward little bean. It can be a sign he's being written well! And your writing is so good that I keep coming back and I'm hoping I'm building up a tolerance. That would be good for me. ^^; I look forward to every Friday for this!

shitty little essay i wrote about the always sunny cookbook

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, also known as It’s Always Sunny or just Sunny, is a show that sometimes makes you lose your appetite. This is intentional; it is a show about disgusting people doing disgusting, cruel things to each other. Equally disgusting is the food that the characters discuss and consume: a couple examples of dishes featured on the show are rum ham, meat cube, milk steak (with jelly beans on the side (“raw”)), and riot punch. After hearing these names, a watcher likely does not want to take a bite of whatever a milk steak might be (we never do find out what Charlie means by this). Despite this, FX, the television channel that hosts Sunny, recently decided to make a cookbook based on the foods featured in this show. I believe that this book is nothing but a gag gift for fans, as it is neither funny nor educational enough to be a good read or a good cookbook.

The cookbook, titled Paddy's Pub: The Worst Bar in Philadelphia: An It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Cookbook, is split up into sections based on characters from the show, each featuring an introduction written in the voice of a character followed by several recipes from said character. The first red flag of this cookbook is that it is not written by the creators of the show. Glenn Howerton, Rob MacElhenny, and Charlie Day are the creators of It’s Always Sunny and have been writing, producing, and playing the characters Dennis, Mac and Charlie since the show’s conception in 2005. Their respective characters were originally based on them - Dennis’s vanity, Mac’s hard-headedness and Charlie’s stupidity mirror the worst parts of the actors’ real-life personalities. Because of this, writing from these characters’ point of view has to be thoughtful and well-crafted in order to feel genuine and authentic to these deeply personal characters.

Unlike in the series’ official self help book, The 7 Secrets of Awakening the Highly Effective Four-Hour Giant, Today, which is written by the writers in their characters’ voices, this cookbook is written by a third-party writer. This makes the first-person introductions to each section of the cookbook full of cheap references to popular gags in the show, as opposed to any new information about the character. For instance, in Charlie’s introduction, he rambles about his iconic sleeping outfit of a black horse t-shirt and white long johns. This is something that never comes up verbally in the show, and is told only through wardrobe. However, the writer decided to bring this up to remind the reader that, yes, this is your favorite character Charlie speaking. Instead of references to the character’s wardrobe, something that may have been more relevant to a cookbook is something about Charlie’s relationship with food. For example, I would have appreciated it if the writer had given us Charlie’s take on his strange diet, which often consists of things not meant for human consumption, such as paint and cat food. How did he start eating these foods? How does he feel about his health as a result of his diet? If Charlie Day had written this from his character’s point of view, I think he would have expanded on what we already know about the character’s relationship with food as opposed to reminding us of what we already do know about his character’s pajamas.

Cat food, which Charlie eats every night along with a beer and a huff of glue, is a recipe in this cookbook. The writers could have gone the comedic route for this book and given this recipe one ingredient: One Can of Cat Food. This could have been done with many recipes in this book; as I mentioned, most of the food in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is nearly inedible. However, instead of keeping the recipes accurate to the show (and thus inedible), the writers opted to feature basic, easy-to-make recipes that only resemble the foods from the show. This takes the reader out of the illusion that the recipes were provided by the characters; if Charlie knew how to make tuna salad, he wouldn’t be eating Fancy Feast. Unfortunately, these character-breaking choices were made in the name of interactivation.

The simplicity of these recipes, I think, is an attempt at reaching the target audience of Sunny: college-aged adults. However, I think that two other options would have worked better as opposed to this approach: the aforementioned inedible approach, and, on the other side of the spectrum, the way-too-fancy-for-this-show approach. The inedible approach would render the book useless as an interactive cookbook, but make it a purely comedic gag book: something completely different and more consistent with the show’s brand. On the other hand, the writers could have chosen the way-too-fancy approach, in which the recipes are not described as being written by the characters but instead interpreted by professional chefs. This would give the book more of a purpose, of which it currently does not have: college kids can look up these basic recipes without buying a book based on their favorite sitcom.

A couple of summers ago, when I was in the depths of my It’s Always Sunny hyperfixation, I was living in a subletted apartment with my friend, Isaac. Almost every free moment we had, we were watching Sunny: before work, after work, while we were eating, and even during the one time we each picked up one dumbbell from my set of two and pretended to exercise. Sometime before the summer, I saw a two-part series from the YouTube channel Babish Culinary Universe in which Babish recreates the foods from It’s Always Sunny in two ways: one exactly the show describes (or how he thought the characters would make it), and one in a fancy, over-the-top way. For example, he makes a Grilled Charlie exactly how Charlie instructs Frank to make one on his hot plate: “Peanut butter outside, chocolate inside, butter inside, cheese outside.” Of course, this was an inedible mess, so he proposed a new and improved Grilled Charlie consisting of brie cheese, dark, high-quality chocolate, brioche, and chunky peanut butter. Although still a strange flavor combination, when Isaac and I had nothing to eat for dinner, we cooked and ate these fancy Grilled Charlies while watching our favorite show at the dinner table. Babish’s recipe was much more thoughtful and authentic than Grilled Charlie in the cookbook, which trades cheese for cream cheese frosting, which, like the tuna salad “cat food,” makes it a completely different (and boring) dish from the one featured in the show.

In conclusion, Paddy's Pub: The Worst Bar in Philadelphia: An It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Cookbook is a bad attempt at an It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia cookbook in that it is not funny, authentic-feeling, or good enough as a cookbook to be worth buying even for a die-hard fan like me or Isaac.

shannon! hello! i was looking at your pinterest boards again (they're so aesthetic i love it!) and marty's really stood out to me! so i wanted to ask, what's his story like? any fun things about him? :)

OMG blu!!! ( @xxluckystrike ) hello!! :D i hope you're doing well! <3 (and thanks so much for stopping by the askbox!) AWWWWE thanks so much!!! :') that means so much to me omggg, my pinterest boards for my OCs are truly some of my favorite things to collect and put together - it just helps so much with writing, the vibes i try to go for, the aesthetic of course, quotes, face claims, scene inspo for them.....i could go on haha! it truly helps so so much for me, so i appreciate it SO much!! :)

my sweet bean marty!!! you can absolutely ask about him (and i am beyond happy to talk about him!) and i've been working with writing him a bit more for the fic and just !!!!! i love him so so much! :)

SO!!!! Marty - or to others Martin Armstrong, or to Esther, her little brother by about 14 months haha! In the story, we won't really see a *whole* lot about Marty face-to-face, but Esther thinks about him a lot and does mention him throughout the story when thinking about home and her childhood (two major things that hang off of her like a comfy cardigan). My best way to describe Marty is that not only is he Esther's brother, but he's tough as nails, intelligent, charming, resourceful, loyal, a ride-or-die type of friend, and one helluva medic out in the Pacific (corpsmen, he's in the Marines, but for sake of better word)!

Marty worked at the nearby Navy Yard, with a few school friends, but once Esther went to school and war rumblings crossed the Atlantic, he decided to sign up for the Marines - he wanted to be with the best of the best, and with Dad as a Marine, he wanted to follow in his footsteps. So when Esther went to work at Fort Bragg with W-Sector, Marty was sent to Parris Island, South Carolina where he underwent his training before being sent to the Pacific.

He gets close with a group of guys in the Marines his age - Charlie Godfrey (his closest friend in the platoon) along with Joey Merrie, Calvin Hindton, Glenn Jercovic, Roger Kaplan and Warren Whitwatcher. Fun fact: Charlie Godfrey's little sister, Flo, is on a certain base in Europe, working as a mechanic on the ‘Flying Fortresses’ throughout 1943, helping take care of a dog named Meatball (lol!).

Marty’s role in the story is really this enigma of being Esther’s brother and someone consistently important to her life (to then parallel another OC, Jeannie, the tragic story of her and her brother, Fitzgerald, but more on that another time).

Him being a medic is one of the things that really defines his character, especially being out in the pacific, and I purposely write some of his letters to Esther where he describes what that experience is like and what he goes through to further exemplify his character and his inherent need to help people. From the way Esther talks about him early on in the fic, you wouldn’t really *guess* that about him but the more we hear and see of him, and once he starts mentioning it, we see where that makes sense.

And if anything, Marty is VERY proud of his sister! :) [#1 supportive lil brother truly]

Another fun fact: Esther has brought up Marty 71 times and I only have 23 chapters written! Lol!

Everywhere she looked, she saw her brother; she saw Marty in the doorway to their home, with his backpack and long socks on his first day of 1st grade. She saw Marty at the kitchen table, his usual spot left open for him ever since that day he left. She saw him in the family room, not only in a few notable pictures, but in his usual slightly dented spot on the couch that the majority of people left open. Half the time it still felt like Marty was there.

Welcome back to this amazing new episode of me commenting Quidditch.

After an exchange of views with my dear dear friend @vandelopa-x over Quidditch in general, it is time to destroy the destroyable and keep the tradition alive!

So, season 4 was, indeed, something.

Overall, it didn't started with a climax, as usual. Season 3 had one of the best beginnings, winning with a dramatic impact over the player and Orion's falling from the broom, yet it lost in its initial goal (with the TRUE AND ONLY CAPTAIN THAT I RECOGNISE having to face stuffs like poor self esteem, crisis over his identities and the relationship between the ones around him) while on the process to understand what the plot has to do with itself.

True, I like to bully season 3, and with good reasons. But to be honest, it wasn't even bad at all. Troubles with Hogwarts Mystery always start when a certain developing company decides that MC has to be at the centre of literally everything going on a screen.

Did they deserve the leadership? Where they ready?

Spoiler: no.

They almost saved it when they decided to introduce us to Badger (LOVE OF A LIFETIME I FREAKING ADORE HIM) and Kneil. Bless them.

What I didn't like about season 4 overall it's its extreme filler, a overly long time to actually develop a twist and some characters that decided to take the time machine back to season 1 (hello Skye) and apparently forgot about the only good thing that happened in season 3 (aside Badger, love of a lifetime, I freaking adore him) aka developing and making amends.

But, aside that, this isn’t a roasting post at all, because…

I liked it. Not a lot, not extremely a lot but we are kind of back in a decent state for Quidditch:

Murphy had more than 5 minutes of screen time and only this could light up your day.

I actually adored them. Especially Gruffyd, since Baglan it's an human case and has to be treated as such.

A thing that I want to say is that I understand perfectly their sub story. Because they are similar to Skye, according to the “family makes you suffer sometimes” but it's really enjoyable the fact that they decided to talk about what not only what their family represent but also what they went through and how it could possibly affect them, sparing from the same tragedy that hit their ancestor. I also adore that they implemented their need to be themselves while seeking love or appreciation and even a little bit of adventure just to escape from their name.

I admit that I've cried a little when Gruffyd said that they had struggles making friends because people make assumptions. It does scream “ERIKA RATH” everywhere, but on the other side it makes you reflect that at the end everyone involved in Quidditch is a little bit lonely because various issues. Relatable, sad but true.

This is super embarrassing, but I don’t have any friends lol- I have an incredibly hard time making friends, and an even harder time keeping them. I’m, like, terrified of irl social interaction. Plus, as it stands rnrn, I live with my abusers and, outside of my silly blog, I only socialize with them. One day I’ll have a friend, and one day I’ll have a friend with a CDD! As it stands now tho? He is little, but his heart is bigger than anyone else's. His love language is acts of service, words of affirmation, and physical touch. His adoration for you goes beyond words and he thinks very very highly of you... almost like you can do no wrong. He knows the team as a whole can be a handful, so he will come up with some grounding techniques with you in case you start to feel overwhelmed. If you work in the industry with him and the others, he'll be the one to hold your hand while off on an adventure with him and Charlie. Mr. Boss thinks a pretty/handsome face like yours should be the public face of Smiling Friends, and Pim agrees. Pim likes music genres like pop and modern country music, but he also enjoys 80's rock music like Bon Jovi from time to time. Oh and every time you laugh he blushes and gets all mushy and starts thinking of the group growing old together.

Charlie

Charlie has been established to be the most down-to-earth member of the Smiling Friends team. Intrinsically, this serious and logical personality carries all the way into his relationships. Of course, that doesn't mean that be cannot have his goofy moments. He likes to find ways to make you laugh and giggle, especially when you're not having a good day. He kind of teams up with Glep to make mini-skits to help cheer you up. In an emergency situation, he is the first to grab you and Get The Hell Out Of There. This isn't to say the others don't worry about you, but statistically speaking, Charlie can remove you from danger the quickest, at approx. 2.4 seconds. Charlie doesn't like to admit it, but he LOVES snuggle time with you. Especially when you lay on top of him to listen to his heartbeat. He'll play with your hair, kiss your head, and rub your back until you fall asleep so he can grab a controller and start playing video games. If you steal his hoodie he will blush pretty hard and grab at your hand. He loves mornings spent with you before work, where he can enjoy a good breakfast with you and the others and listening to your plans for the day.

Glep

Glep is a ball of energy when he doesn't have a console in his little hands. (Hands? Arms? Beans?) Anyways, he likes to climb into your shoulders and speak into your neck about his day, or just about anything. He is a talkative one. He is a 10/10 video game partner. He'll teach you how to play certain games if you dont know how, and hyperfixates on some games to the point where he'll infodump about them. If you like to dress "wierd" like scene, wierdcore, decora kei, fairycore, or something else that makes the average person think of Lisa Frank or Twilight, he'll eat it right up. His cuddle style is laying across your chest, butt facing toward Charlie. Charlie has to bury his face into the pillow above your head if Glep eats something he shouldn't have 😭 also if you use crystals you should give him one to keep under his hat for the day

Alan

Alan is logical, calculated, and meticulous. He has a lot of material objects that he keeps serious track of, and that goes for you too. He gets anxious when you go on an adventure away from him and Glep. So, he establishes a boundary with you that you need to keep your location on at all times so he can feel better when he starts getting anxious. He doesn't try to control you, he just needs to know that you're okay and you're with Pim and Charlie. The second most protective out of the group, right behind Glep. He doesn't cuddle but he does a little more than his share of chores around the house as a way to show his appreciation for you. Alan likes to share his hobbies with you as well!

The group as a whole

You all move into a decently sized bi-level rent-to-own home together, and you all put in your fifth of the monthly rent, as well as car and gas payments. You, Alan, and Charlie handle the groceries and find ways to get the best deals on the most nutritious food for your collective budget. Glep and Charlie have a side hustle as streamers on their off-time and share a gaming setup. On holidays, you, Pim, and Alan decorate and handle presents and goodies for the others. Carpooling is kind of a must but its the most enjoyable, especially with you there. None of the boys share a romantic relationship with each other, but its more of a mutual agreement that they all get along for your sake, since they all love you dearly. You are incredibly important to all 4 of them so they chose to become a tight-knit unit to avoid jealousy, hogging you to oneself, or one being left behind. You guys living together helps you to become a strong community of 5 and you all learn the ins-and-outs of each other in order to lift each other up and to become the best versions of yourselves. The house you guys live in has 3 bedrooms. Alan and Glep share a bunk bed bc sometimes they gotta let their inner child out. Charlie has the best queen size mattress, it's a spring mattress so it doesn't deflate and it's got soft toppers that keep you nice and cool, optimal for Charlie snuggles :)

Overall they trust you and work to earn your trust, and they all love you to the moon and back. They are all elated to have you reciprocate that love as well. Also, snuggle pile movie night.

Prompt: “Uncle Ron said something about Harry knocking Ginny up, but I don’t know what he means,” Teddy said.

Harry barely reacted in time to put up a Shield Charm before two Stunning Spells shot across the kitchen table at him and deflected up into the ceiling.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Ginny and Ron shouted at the same time, Ron flailing and tipping over backward in his chair.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU!" Charlie screamed at Harry.

"Is he pressuring you into this?" Bill growled at Ginny.

"There is no reason to resort to something so drastic!" said Percy.

"And it's definitely not something to laugh about," said George.

Fleur was babbling a mile a minute in French, tears welling in her eyes and trying to get Victoire to stop crying.

Molly had collapsed into Arthur's arms and fainted.

"Have you lot all lost your minds!?" shouted Harry. "Why is it so important that I keep it?"

"What use do we have for it, anyway?" asked Ginny.

A second explosion of angry shouting erupted as all the Weasleys talked over each other.

"How in the WORLD is all this the appropriate response to Harry and Ginny living together!?" pleaded Hermione.

"THAT'S NOT — wait, they're living together!?" said Percy.

Hermione gasped and clapped her hand over her mouth.

"Oh please," George rolled his eyes, "Anyone with a brain already knew that."

"What!? Why didn't you say anything!" said Charlie, "We could have stopped this before it happened!"

"Gee, thanks, Hermione," growled Harry as she blushed harder.

"Then what the hell are all you gits talking about!?" barked Ginny loudly to cut through the cacophony of testosterone. "As annoying as you always are when treating me like an innocent girl, it makes more sense than getting upset about Harry's stupid Wizengamot seat!"

"Harry has a Wizengamot seat!?" asked Percy in awe.

"Don't get any ideas, Perce, Harry's taken," said George.

"Of course we're not talking about that!" said Molly, her voice shaking as she regained consciousness and stood up straight. "We're talking about the baby!"

Harry and Ginny looked sideways at Victoire.

"THE NEW BABY!" Molly shrieked, growing more exasperated.

"What, Hermione's baby?" asked Ginny.

Molly fainted again.

"Ex-CUSE me!?" cried Hermione as every head in the room spun to face her, Ron's turning a sickly shade of green.

"Oh...I shouldn't have eaten all those biscuits," Ron muttered fearfully, holding his stomach.

"Wait, Hermione's pregnant too?" asked Percy.

"No, I am not!" said Hermione forcefully.

"Wait, what do you mean 'too?'" asked Ginny. "Who else is pregnant?"

"THERE IS NO 'ELSE!' I AM NOT PREGNANT!" Hermione screamed. "Can we please establish that first?"

"Love, just calm down," said Ron softly, placing his hands gently on her shoulders. "It's okay, we can handle this. Why don't you just sit down…."

Hermione rolled her eyes. "Ron, even if I were pregnant, if you start coddling me you'll regret it. Ginny, why the hell did you say that I'm pregnant?"

"Well she kept dropping hints left and right that someone was pregnant!" Ginny gestured wildly towards Fleur, who until now was doing a good job of avoiding the chaos, and blushed self-consciously when it was her turn to be the focus of all the anger.

"Ginny, just stop it!" Fleur lashed out. "I was trying to encourage you to come clean!"

"...Me?"

"Ginny, we know about the baby," said Arthur calmly. "We've known for days."

About a dozen different emotions collided violently inside Harry. He couldn't imagine what the expression on his face might look like. He slowly turned on the spot towards Ginny.

"I'm sure you're about to say something all noble and comforting," said Ginny dryly. "But you don't have to be that good of a boyfriend yet. No, I'm not pregnant."

"I applaud your performance, Gin-Gin," said George, "but nothing stays secret for long in this family." He jerked his head toward Ron.

"Wha—Why are you jerking your head towards me, don't jerk your head towards me!" Ron panicked.

"Why is he jerking his head towards you, Ron?" Ginny seethed.

"Hell if I know!" Ron said defensively. "Don't get your knickers in a twist, this is the first I've heard of any new babies!"

"Sorry, Ronniekins, but you spilled the beans to Teddy, and he sold you out," said George.

"You told Teddy that I'm pregnant!?" Ron flinched as Ginny smacked his arm.

"Using much more vulgar language," Molly whimpered, still trembling and desperately clutching onto Arthur for support.

"I did not tell Teddy that you're pregnant!" Ron spoke up. "I never even—"

He stopped speaking and his eyes bulged out. He and Hermione faced each other, realization dawning on their faces.

Ron's voice is small. "...Oh—Ow! Ow! Ow! Stop it!" he cowered as Hermione started furiously hitting him.

"You — complete — idiot Ronald Weasley!" she shouted with each hit.

Ginny's older brothers were looking far too pleased with themselves for her taste.

"Okay, so can we stop this charade now?" asked Bill.

"Okay, I don't know what this latest domestic incident is about," said Ginny, pointing at the sparring couple, "I just know that I'm not pregnant."

"Teddy heard Ron saying that Harry had knocked you up!" said Charlie.

"No….but I might have said that it was likely that he would knock her up."

Harry gaped at him. "Why were you discussing me knocking up Ginny at all!?" he demanded, as he physically restrained Ginny from attacking Ron.

"Because you both were being so bloody shameless!" Ron shouted back. "It's enough to drive anyone mental! Don't try to annoy your brother by having no self-control and then get mad when he says you have no self control!"

"I want the record to show that I did not partake in this line of reasoning and told him he was being ridiculous," said Hermione.

"Thanks for the support, Love," said Ron.

Bill, Charlie, and Percy all seemed to have deflated like balloons. Their faces matched their hair and they were looking anywhere but Ginny's furious face.

"Well...erm…." said Charlie, trying to keep his face stern, "Ron's right, you should still—"

"Oh, do not try to still chest-beat after you've all been exposed as idiots!" Ginny hissed. "You've all been absolutely terrible to Harry and me based on what a toddler overheard!"

"She is right," Fleur scolded her husband, rejoining the row now that she had calmed Victoire down, "If you zink zat she is pregnant, you should not start fights to stress 'er out! Shame on you!" Bill hung his head.

"You know, I really don't think that trying to manipulate Ginny into talking about it is much better," said Harry flatly, "You all need to mind your own business!"

"Yes, don't think I'm going to forget this any time soon!" Ginny waved a threatening finger at all of them. "Not only treating me like an idiot child who's been taken advantage of, but actually thinking we're stupid and reckless enough to unintentionally get pregnant in the first place!"

"See, Molly dear?" Arthur told his wife gently, "it was all just a misunderstanding." He had guided her into a chair and was trying to calm her down. Her breathing was quick and shallow and her eyes were darting around madly.

"...No. No, it all fit…" she shook her head violently, "They're covering it up. You need to tell the truth, Ginny!"

It was clear that there was no reasoning with her, she had become delirious by now from all the chaos and panic.

Ginny groaned. "All right, you want to settle this? Fine, let's settle this." And without another word, she marched out of the kitchen into the sitting room, threw some floo powder into the fireplace, called out "Diagon Alley!" and disappeared into the flames.

The kitchen was finally quiet for the next few minutes as Molly's breathing slowly but surely slowed down to merely anxious instead of an outright panic attack. Bill and Fleur were bickering quietly in French, while Hermione silently gave Ron her best "I told you so" look for not watching what he said around Teddy.

After what felt like an eternity, the fireplace roared to life again and Ginny marched back into the kitchen, dusting soot off her clothes.

"Where did you go?" asked Harry.

She held up a vial of clear liquid. "Apothecary," she said shortly. The unique shape of the bottle was instantly recognizable.

"Oh, well that's just great," said Ron tiredly. "Harry Potter's girlfriend hastily buying a pregnancy test potion, I'm sure that won't be in the headlines tomorrow."

Ginny ignored him as she skimmed over the card that came attached to the potion. "Okay, yeah, blue for boy, pink for girl, white for not pregnant."

She uncorked the flask, set it down on the table, used her wand to cut off a single strand of her hair, and lowered it into the solution. The clear, colorless contents of the bottle instantly started bubbling furiously.

"See?" Ginny barked furiously, "So, now that we've gotten this circus over with, I would greatly appreciate it if you gits kindly butted the hell out of my love life, and we can all….just….move….on…."

Her voice trailed off into nothing as her eyes remained locked on the vial on the table.

Which was now a bright, vibrant blue.

Not only did jatp revive my love of writing and open my eyes to the possibility of becoming a novelist, it brought me this good bean!

I’ve made so many new friends through this fandom, but especially Kassandra @sapnapalts (aka she who was @gillespie_s). We went from two strangers screaming about juke fic and Charlie’s ass to best friends that text every single day- we’re literally hanging out in person again tomorrow because she’s done her finals lol.

So when I say thank you jatp, I mean thanks for bringing me one of the kindest people I’ve ever met :) I’m lucky to love and have loved this show❤️
