oh my goddd. a great one. personally, the english beat, also known as 'the beat', their music is ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk rock all together. what a fusion. i don't actually know if they're underrated... everyone ive met irl doesn't listen to them or has never heard of them so 💔 you like any of those genres up there, give them a listen please 🙌🏿

It’s kinda crazy how you guys have all become a part of my life. Like I kinda just came here assuming it would be like a me on the sidelines and just being in awe of everyone interacting but you guys are all so nice and welcoming. Even with my shy self y’all still included me. Now there’s bugs and pieces of all of you everywhere. In the flower picture folder from @seedlessmuffins to the Pinterest folder for @gabrieljayzoos and the TikTok f1 edit folder for @krocodilf and the playlist for @kevjrr. Everytime the moon looks very pretty I think of @sunofmoon and when when I see pictures of kun I think of @cherishlalune. Even the music I hear reminds me of you guys sometimes and I’m sure my irl friends are tired of me telling them how cool you guys all are. Even when I read a good book or piece of poetry I think wow @stargarland would love this. Even now I randomly bring you guys up like they were talking about Ramadan on the tv and I went ‘oh my friends @swaggypsyduck and @quickslvxr are muslim :D’ like an idiot and everyone’s like who?? And aaah there’s so many of you its overwhelming but I love all you guys so so much and I’m reminded of all your presences in life everyday. last thing i googled: all quiet on the western front wins. eeaao deserved everybit of praise it got! but the book for aqotwf holds a soft spot in my heart.

dream trip: i want to go to japan and/or scotland. not like big cities i wanna be by the seas or in the mountains or walk near the plains and stay in old family run hotels. i love walking and exploring. for those asking why not someplace warmer? bc im terrified of bugs. (but i do want to visit peru and chile for the same reasons) oH and i have to visit italy and brazil for @mchiti and @lesbionel!!

anything i want right now: to visit my family on the east coast. i miss my aunts and uncles. also to have deep fried calamari. ugh im craving tunisian calamari sooooooo badly (i think they got it from the greek but like tunisians do it better imo. or maybe its just the tunisian families and restaurants ik)

in my america and the world class, im learning about the 1950s and how the television completely revolutionized american life. i love entertainment, so these past few lectures have been quite fun for me.

also how this time period ushered in a mass era of suburbanization and promoted stereotypes of your “everyday housewife.”

it’s honestly quite sad. women were expected solely to just pop out as many babies as possible while the husbands were the sole breadwinners. this led to mass abuse of drugs, depression, and alcoholism. and this homogeneity and conformity of the world at this point in time is what prompted the ‘60s counterculture (hippie era)!
