A sea of fear, lands me back with you

Steady hands, the resources we learned dated back to the academy. Kelly Severide made decisions that he knew would jeopardized his future now. In the moment when he climbed himself onto the rig; on the top it was a means of hiding. He calculated the chances of him dodging for cover the second he heard the commotion saw the guns, he swore he had a growing lump in his throat. Severide was a risk taker but in this case he knew had no way of escaping, as if his back was pressed up against a wall. Trapped. 

From that moment the house in between to now felt blurry, as if my body was in fight or flight. Quick thinking; the amustions that my skills guided me, that the crackling of wires helped tell 51 where he was. To help Stella know I was okay. Severide had one thing to fight for which was to keep to his promise that he’d always come home to her. He could never admit to anyone who looked him in the eye but he was scared. One wrong move would land him with a bullet in his skin, a bullet that would force his life to flash before his own eyes. He had pride, but it was his belief in Stella, in house 51 that guided him through these trenches. 

Tied up, a threat looked Kelly right in the eyes, Blinking back the memories of a shot fired at their own men, the man he had shot on defense. Even as his back was trapped, a guy wanting to kill him he was a hero at heart; he walked through fires; he couldn’t let a guy die at his own hands. Blooded hands bore into his skin. If these men who stole our rig; essentially kidnapped me, were killing to aim a bullet through their own man on the payroll what? What would they do to me? That grappling fear shook through his bones. Not that Severide batted an eye. He knew the number from memory; he had Stella on speed dail and if he was going to play risk taker he was always going to call her, proudness of himself now, speaking any annoy detail he was capable of getting out of these crooks, these ambulance firetruck stealers on the  horizons. 

He swore his life kept flashing before his eyes. But this moment; the moment the pickle he landed himself in now. Highways, the tightness of the cuffs that laced over his wrist, he swore he could feel the scars forming. Heart racing feeling that gun aimed at him. Severide had no idea if his move would work. He had sneaky tenacious on his side. His skills pulled him to safety on more than one occasion now. Hands steady on the wheel, eyes darting almost nervously from the high end road; to the man holding the loaded weapon.  A chatter of his teeth as he slowly moved the lighter near, the movement of vents, knowing the flames would give him time, a minute to consider. Heat was felt within the truck, the gunman aimed his gun for him, and he pulled over. He had about 30 seconds before this rig exploded on its own. And he was desperately jammed up now. Cuffs to the wheel, he kept trying to discretely tug on the wheel to no vail. He felt the flames starting to get heavy, in front of his face, taking in the smoke before the explosives, those seconds felt like a blur. One second he was forcefully tugging on the steering wheel for freedom, and the next he was using his own body as a shield to jump. Was it the heat? Or the force that knocked his body tumbling through the air. Steering wheel in hand. 

Impacted, head hitting the ground, the wild smoke in the air. Body felt numb, eyes barely recognizing where he was. Blurry vision on its own. Blood scars on his cheeks, his legs felt wobbly. He swore he couldn’t move. The debris from the impact, he had to use any strength he had to stand. A limb in his step. Eyes barely having full vision through the layers of smoke. He heard vague voices, he only cared about her. Stella. “ Stella.” he echoed out her name with desperation, he had to find her in the sea of smoke. Feeling run down exhausted the steering wheel still in hand as he slowly but fast moved through the smoke; the dirt from the explosion he saw her. 

The fear clear on his own face and her own. A hesitant smile  tugged as his lips as he nearly raced to her. The run down feeling hitting his body as he echoed those words.  ‘ Stell..” Right before his arm came out and wrapped around her, or collapsing give or take. Breathing in as if for the first time, he was with her. In her arms again. A future he wanted for a lifetime. 

As tightly as he could, he held onto his wife; the guiding light to his heart. He witnessed trenches in hours now, but he only thought of her; he only wanted to come home be in her arms again. Like fresh air coming from a storm. His home.

ok so i know i said we probably won’t get a hospital scene in 12x11 because there’s no permit for the med stage but i think it’s still possible that we get one. this is just my thought process from what i know about filming so i could be wrong so please take this with a grain of salt.

the med stage permits are for when they use the same set that chicago med used to film but fire also has their own (smaller) version of the med hospital that don’t require a permit. mainly a version of the waiting room and the hospital room.

the hospital room that we continuously see being used when anyone from 51 gets hurt is a fire set. so the rooms we’ve seen cruz, stella, and violet in when they got hurt is really the same room being used. they don’t need a permit for that hospital room (i think). the only reason i think this is because i’m 99% sure that in 11x22, that same hospital room was being used for mouch. and as far as i recall, there was no med stage permit for 11x22.

so, in theory, we could still get a stellaride hospital scene. do i think kelly will actually be significantly hurt enough to be in the hospital? probably not. do i still want a stellaride hospital scene? absolutely.

lmao does any of this even make sense? i was going to take a nap cause i was tired but then i thought about this.

Have you seen this? I'm like annoyed atp. Like WHAT is going on now, they're revisting 12x11 for Stellaride? And what does that last quote even mean? Conflict coming from inside the house makes it seem like there won't be a happy Stellaride ending for 12x13.

see honestly this makes me feel better about the finale. i expected the conflict they had in the finale to be so out of nowhere and stupid so the fact that they’re actually going to be dealing with the aftermath of 12x11 rather than pretending it never happened makes me happy. as for the last quote… yeah i don’t even have a guess as to what that could mean

i started watching chicago fire because of you reblogging stellaride and i just binged 12 seasons of this show for them and only them. i just finished 12x11 and i’m crying i love them so much. i really hope kelly gets some sort of professional help because he just went through so much in such a short time and he needs to heal from that mentally.

but I’ve seen people say that his trauma won’t be talked about because they don’t trust the writers. i’m not familiar with the writers yet but do you think we’ll see anything about severide’s mental health?

aww i love that!!! i would say that the one chicago writers as a whole don't have a great track record with properly addressing the trauma these characters go through. on fire, the only time it has been addressed through professional help that i can remember (i haven't done a rewatch in years) was when gabby saw a therapist after shay died and that was just for one episode. stella almost got blown up by a literal grenade and there was like one episode of nightmares 😅

severide is one of the only characters left that's since day one and he's arguably one of the characters that been through the most trauma like back in the old days he fr almost died every other episode ☠️

so yeah i don't have high hopes that they'll address anything with him after this but if they do, i think it would be more through stellaride's relationship and how she almost lost him. i highly doubt they would ever have severide voluntarily seek professional help unfortunately!!

so i’m not sure if you watch chicago fire anymore or enjoy stellaride but i highly recommend watching 12x11! it’s such an amazing episode and it’s a kelly centric! there’s badass severide, worried stella, and such good stellaride content!

I'll be honest that I haven't been watching any tv for the past few weeks - I'm chronically behind on everything except NCIS.

But if it has anything to do with the scene I saw of Stella running to Kelly after a call - that warmed my heart.

I might just binge watch the rest of the season at a later point when it's finally done of the season

Chicago Fire Season 12, Episode 11, “Inside Man,” is the spark that’s been missing from the show. It’s exhilarating, anxiety-inducing, and brings all the emotional feels by the end. At the same time, it’s the kind of episode we don’t need too much of these days, so this really isn’t an invitation for more wild concepts like this floating through.

The episode is also an intricate reminder that when the show focuses on building its characters amid the high-stakes drama, the narratives feel that much more rewarding at the end of the day. And, of course, when we focus on the relationships, the episodes feel that much more fun. It reminds viewers that this show is about a found family and a home away from home.

does this mean i get my kelly severide mental health storyline? or is this just stellaride arguing about 12x11. idk what they would argue about but i just don’t want them fighting. or maybe they find out they’re pregnant?

I feel like there are scenes where they have been holding hands but it gets cropped oit of the view of thr camera frame

i need them to hold hands more often like maybe when they’re walking into shift. also preferably more when they aren’t running for their life (though i will take that too)

and i for sure think they’ve held hands but it was out of view of the camera angle. i feel like they held hands in 12x11 in the back of the ambulance, and 12x03 when stella tells his to go to arizona for the case. also, just based on the 11x10 promo pictures, i stand by the fact that kelly held stella’s hand as they rushed her to the ambulance.

Gah! Also when andrea mentioned relationships -she said damon drawn to Novak. What? Is it his sparkly eyeless like she had said?

Also atleast they are possible gonna address the fallout from a scare like 12x11. Since they didn't even mention anything about it or show him scarred in 12x12.

Maybe they realize how short life is and decide to talk about their future as a couple? Stellaride is solid

is she saying that damon is drawn to novak in a romantic sense? cause idk how i feel about that. i don’t want anymore firehouse flings. stellaride and carver/violet are enough for me. i’d rather they find someone outside the firehouse like ritter did.

i feel like there’s a few ways i interpreted andrea saying that stellaride deal with the fallout of 12x11 but i don’t know which interpretation is right, if any.

my initial reaction was that kelly’s mental health is going to be an issue for him and stella tries to help him through that. then i thought it has to do with damon and how stella accused him of kidnapping kelly and the effects of that. maybe that’s what their fight over damon is about? then i thought it had to to with the very last scene of 12x11 and they either have the baby talk cause of a pregnancy scare or they find out stella’s pregnant.
