a sketch of Erica Static-Speaker, Children of Gaia Theurge they've still got Rage, y'know. they're not a bunch of "granola-eating yoga hippies" despite what the second edition tribe book says. they're more peaceful than literally like... any other tribe but that doesn't mean they can't go Ape Shitt. Erica in particular almost became an Abomination -- and while recovering from the trauma of her first change, a fuckin' vampire almost got her fired from her job and then showed up at her dogshit apartment to bitch at her while Erica's living in a slum on the REAL bad side of town. that mf was LUCKY that Erica was a scared theurge and not even a Philodox, let alone a galliard or ahroun.

Pack Profile: Elk Prairie Sentinels
The Elk Prairie Sentinels are a pack of garou from around the world, consisting of 7 members. First formed in 1963, they resisted old growth lumber harvesting by enabling activist groups around the Seattle area, and helping these groups engage in tree spiking to dissuade loggers. Providing a platform for marginalized voices, enabling the ideals of activism, this pack combats The Wyrm through enabling and arming the world of mortals and garou alike to better defend themselves. Brought to Trillium through a gross violation of The Veil committed by the Sept, upholding the litany and reinforcing a sacred peace on Dead Mountain has resulted in the pack suffering a breakup of its members into two groups, one half of which is still in Trillium, and the other half of which is either traveling abroad or back in Seattle. It's members consist of:
Julie "Bites-the-Bully" Sept Role: Athro Breed: Human-Born Auspice: Philodox Tribe: Black Furies Julie is the pack's alpha. She first and foremost seeks to platform her own packmates to be heard and followed by other garou, preferring to work in the background herself. Despite her strong sense of morality and ethics, she flusters in the spotlight, and uses her own pack to motivate herself into assertiveness. Julie's role in the Sentinels is one that started as a partnership but has evolved into one where the pack depends on her to act as an ambassador to the Sept of the Trillium Glade. She is best known among the garou for fighting for The Fanum during the War of Chicago. In the aftermath of that conflict, Julie befriended Colleen "Shamisa" Fetner. Working with the Sept, the war started bloody, but ended with an uneasy peace between The Fanum and Sept of the Wind Catchers. Each working in tandem through Julie's efforts to unify them had The Fanum assaulted the Camarilla and sabbat simultaneously. At the end of the war, many garou died, including Julie's own pack mates, but every last known vampire in the city of Chicago were completely obliterated. When Shamisa answered a calling to mentor a late changed garou in Seattle, she and Julie traveled there together. Julie lives in a trailer at Steelhead Springs just outside of Trillium with her partner, Esme. Opossum, a patron spirit of adaptability, has formed a strong bond with this Black Fury, and has followed her from her first pack to the Sentinels, which she now leads. Her stubbornness for her pack to be heard by the Red Talon Sept is what eventually led to Sept of the Trillium Glade opening itself to the rest of the garou nation, and among her pack and other Black Furies, Julie is respected for both her discipline and emotional intelligence, despite being very plain-worded.
Dr. Esme "Leaping-Ghost" Sept Role, Athro, Keeper of the Land (Sept of the Trillium Glade) Breed: Human-Born Tribe: Children of Gaia Auspice: Theurge Esme was Shamisa's apprentice. Going through her change in her 20s, Esme took to being a garou poorly. To help with this change, Shamisa and Julie came in from Chicago. Shamisa was happy to teach Esme in the ways of the garou, and Julie used her connections with the septs in Chicago to put Esme in contact with a network of garou and kinfolk scientists to continue her research. This connection strongly motivated Esme to embrace her role as garou. Esme is the one of two members of the Elk Prairie Sentinels that perform a role at Sept of the Trillium Glade, and through interacting with her son, the pack is now able to communicate on a more-or-less direct basis with the rest of the Sept members of the region. Ever since the pack split, and following her experiences living in the woods, she now struggles to reintegrate with human society, and currently resides with Julie at Steelhead Springs. Blaming herself for the breakup of the pack and years spent living as a wolf in the woods, Esme now struggles with Harano and finding a sense of belonging, although with a rite performed by Sunshine, she is stable.
Prof. Anton "rutgers65" Sept Role: Athro, Random Interrupts Breed: Human-Born Auspice: Theurge Tribe: Glass Walkers Anton once held rank as Elder at a Glass Walker Sept in New Jersey and was a tenured professor of Electrical Engineering at Rutgers University. Garou history doesn't accurately reflect Anton, who went uncredited for his work in connecting the tribe to Arpanet through his university, and for research contributing to the invention of the Umbral CB. Where many garou pair with kinfolk, Anton fell in love with a gay, black, human journalist named Taylor Altman, something he kept secret for a time by burying his own wolf nature deep inside, and hiding his own wolf nature from his partner. When the knowledge of Anton's relationship became known amongst the Glass Walkers, it was the tales of mockery and denigration, along with being stripped of rank, that became the things he is now best known for. This kicked off a campaign against him by glass walker kinfolk in the region that resulted in him losing his tenure at Rutgers University. Fearing for Taylor's safety, Anton temporarily went into hiding. Through that fallout, Taylor came to learn of the garou, and comprehending the importance of their secrecy, became an ally to the garou, dedicated to upholding the veil, and to his partner. News of this event reached Julie, whom immediately beckoned Anton to join her cause. Looking for a life free of prejudice, Anton and Taylor moved out west, to Seattle, and he used his extensive knowledge to arm activists with information. In the town of Trillium he continues his life, regularly keeping his wolf nature hidden. He works by having deeply integrating himself into the town's society, and it's nightlife, he and his partner remain at the forefront of becoming aware of potential veil violations hitting the town, and learning of any leeches that come through the roadhouse bar. The two of them life together in their own trailer in Steelhead Springs. Reciting any such derogatory Galliard songs about Anton is an immediate way to start a fight with Julie.
Miriam "WKA9Y" Sept Role: Athro, Random Interrupts Breed: Human-Born Auspice:Theurge Tribe: Glass Walkers Miriam was born in Podlasie just a few years before the invasion of Russia and Germany. Her entire family destroyed at-once, she fled the region on foot carrying her father's radio. Mae learned early on to be portable and always keep in touch and learning to operate a radio, and these early formative years became her core personality. Having a vocal disinterest in discussions that happen outside of the sphere of long distance communications, she even went as far as revoking romantic relationships entirely in lieu of these efforts, of which the random interrupts are now all-too happy to enable. After her first change, she joined the Glass Walkers, where her skills with the radio were paired with that of rutgers65 at Rutgers, both assisting in connecting to Arpanet and in developing the Umbral CB. Although receiving sole credit for these inventions, this usurping against the professor evoked a disgust in her and inspired her to travel with Anton and Taylor out west and joined the Sentinels in their work to arm human society against the rising oppression of The Wyrm. She remains in Seattle researching what she calls "A rising trend in coincidences pointing towards a hitherto-unnamed concerted corporate effort to harm gaia". Still shaken by memories of home, she is reluctant to remain in any forested region for particularly long, preferring the comforts of the city. This, perhaps, is why she decided to leave Trillium and return to Seattle, where she currently resides, helping the pack from afar. She is currently working with Anton over Arpanet experimenting with storage of gnosis on electronics out of an intent to prototype a framework for an all-digital Sept.
Seb "Udaya-Akekaten" Sept Role: Adren , Harbinger (Sept of the Tri-Spiral) Breed: Human-born Auspice: Galliard Tribe: Silent Striders One raised in a family of Silent Strider kinfolk, Seb was no stranger to the spirits, and from an early age was one to receive visitations and visits. Volunteering his time at the British Royal Museum, he worked as a storyteller, reciting old Sanskrit poems and stories. Shortly after his First Change, Seb began having harrowing visions of an apocalypse befalling all garou. Seeing many atrocities committed, all under the light of a red sun. His name means 'follows the red sun', he is a member of the Harbingers camp, traveling to region to region as he is struck with visions of a red sun shining over widespread destruction. When his visions brought him to Sept of the Tri-Spiral near Drogheda, Caeli found herself moved by his mission and volunteered to help. Or at least, keep Seb's spirits up. His latest visions have brought him to the Pacific Northwest with visions of entire forests withered and ablaze, burning wolf and man alike. The young garou of the Elk Prairie Sentinels were the ones who volunteered to carry Seb's warning with him to Trillium. He is now traveling the world with Caeli traveling between septs and attempting to unite the tribes against this impending slow moving death.
Caeli "Rages-in-the-Dark Sept Role: Fostern Breed: Human-born Auspice: Ragabash Tribe: Bone Gnawers Raised in the UK, Caeli escaped a home with an alcoholic and abusive mother kinfolk, narrowly avoiding an induction into the Black Spiral Dancers. Having difficulties forming lasting friendships, Caeli took to street life comfortably. Circumstances brought her and Seb together when he came to Sept of the Tri-Spiral, where Caeli was mentoring under the Fianna and learning White Howler history. Learning of Seb's visions of Anthelios was sobering to the Bone Gnawer, who volunteered to travel with him and share his vision of the future, out of hopes of perhaps preventing another tribe from falling. Caeli has brought a deep anger with her into the garou nation, and expresses it through actions against scumbags that attack the bottom rung of humanity. She supported the pack as best she could in Trillium, but the small town life lead her back to Sept of the Swift Waters.
Marie "Culls-the-Tainted", Adren Human-Born Black Fury Ahroun, 28 (Player Character) hails from Lafayette, Louisiana. She is often seen around Aloha Lanes with Julie. Where she works the front counter, Julie maintains the pin-setting machines in the back. Unusually tall even as a child, as an adult she has to bend over in every doorway, standing at 7 feet tall. This made her an easy target in school, something she often responded to with direct confrontation. She experienced her first change when she and a group of her friends was attacked by a pack of fomori dogs. Her friends survived and the fomori dogs didn't, but what also died that day was her friendships and that old life. Shortly after she became fostern, her pack, which mostly consisted of Stargazers, disbanded when the Stargazers left the nation, and her packmates followed them to parts unknown, leaving her once again isolated. Taking a sabbatical with the Black Furies, she turned her focused inwards, trying to gain insights on what she wanted for herself. When news of the existence of Sept of the Trillium Glade, and by extension Dume'fa, reached the furies, Marie and her husband were sent to Trillium as a bit of a diplomatic overture from the rest of her tribe to work with Julie as an effort to introduce more humans to the sept. Upon arrival, she found an immediate kinship with Julie, and joined the Elk Prairie Sentinels pack. Having just gained the rank of Adren, Marie is now poised to serve as the Den Mother for any cubs in the sept, setting a new precedent, and high expectations, among it's Red Talon leadership. Her relationship with most of the garou in the sept can be described as distant at best and somewhat hostile at worst, but is the most qualified to train human cubs. She has a better relationship with the Ephemeral Mists than others in the sept, but things are still a little awkward.

Within the Children of Gaia, the lowest level of Ascendant is the Monk. Monks are significant in both the spiritual and political world of the Children of Gaia. To become one is not only the first step in achieving the true embrace of Gaia, but often the first step in a Gaian's political career, as the vast majority of the membership of the Assembly of Saints and the Council of 12 were at some point a monk and there are few exceptions. The vast majority of young Psychics within the borders of the Republic will find themselves spending at least 5 Martian years in a monastery. There they will study the Paradigm, meditate, and train themselves both mentally and physically. Most will move on after their tenure, to become military leaders, great warriors, politicians, and priests, though some will remain in the monastery for the rest of their lives. The life of a Monk is incredibly ascetic, eating only once per day and forbidding mind altering substances like alcohol. Monk's are to derive their only pleasure from their training and daily communions with Gaia. A monk may not interact with their family of origin, even if they already have children, as the unawakened are seen as a corrupting influence for the monk. As a result punishments for those unawakened that disturb the life of a monk are harsh, ranging from imprisonment, to mutilation, and even death, though occasional exceptions are made.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRICKERS OF THE FRICK RACE!!
We kick of 2024 with a comic I started back in FREAKING AUGUST-!! SOLANNE CONTINUUM presents "SUIKAWARI", based on the Japanese summer activity! Which - they are playing mildly incorrectly (person is supposed to be spun around until dizzy and they whack with a stick, NOT A DIVINE KATANA!).
Also, it's been a HOT minute since I've featured our beloved Valley Elders (ESPECIALLY ELDER-KUN ♥), but lo - another Husband appears forth! He's just trying to make up with Kidde for starting off on the wrong foot back in May www
Overall, despite the compounded focus/energy/interest issues, I managed to get this done. As a Host (read: creator), there is such an IMMENSE satisfaction taking a Paracosm scene out of my head and onto paper, and it always makes the comic-making toil worthwhile.

Werewolf The Apocalypse Tribe Playlists, Part 1
So because I'm mega autistic about this game and because I listen to music while I work, I've been slowly compiling a series of playlists for each of the tribes. :) I've got enough done to post a few of the playlists, now! These are all Spotify Links. When I have the time, I want to do full album cover style pictures for each one. Silver Fangs
Children of Gaia Shadow Lords Red Talons ( my personal favorite is the Red Talons list, and it's the one that started the project) Bone Gnawers

Pack Profile: Ephemeral Mists
Sept of the Trillium Glade (1975)
The warder pack of the Sept of the Trillium Glade, dedicated to acting as the strong arm of the Sept's Warder, as well as serving as guardians protecting the northern half of Winefelly. Their home is in Fall Creek along the border of their protectorate near a series of seasonal ephemeral pools. The Ephemeral Mists lately have been under scrutiny by the Hammer Butte Hunters and Warm Springs packs.
Meat Puppets have been a longstanding issue in the region, of which every pack has had to confront them, but things got a bit more personal. A Meat Puppet appeared on the Ephemeral Mist's territory; a red talon yearling kinfolk that hailed from the Hammer Butte Hunters' bordering territory.
Gristle’s relationship with Salamander was forged through a partnership stemming from a need to easily blend into one’s environment, one that has greatly benefitted the Ephemeral Mists in their duty to the Sept.
Gristle  Sept Role: Elder, Warder  Breed: Wolf-Born  Auspice: Philodox  Tribe: Red Talons  Gristle is a garou that is neither particularly strong, nor fast, but makes up for it in stalwart tenacity. She is one of the more recognizeable members of Sept of the Trillium Glade for the complete lack of fur from the shoulders up, and bearing a monstrous face showing very little of her nose and ears remaining. And in spite of that, her slightly cataract eyes contain a deceptive intelligence that betray her visage.
Her Rite of Passage found her raiding a cinnabar mine out in the Ochoco woods east of the Hammer Butte Hunters’ territory. The site had become infested with some modern prospectors turned to fomors, and she led the raid. Being the first through the door, she was also the one that took the brunt of the fomori’s attacks. She still landed the killing blows on most of the wyrmspawn present, and performed a rite of cleansing on the site.
Being one to confront her problems face-first, years spent putting herself between the sept and the outside world has earned her the esteemed role of Warder at Sept of the Trillium Glade. Following a dive in a pool of scalding hot water at the Strauss Lumber Mill during a raid, her face and upper body are just a pink mangle of scar tissue holding no definable details safe for lack of ears and nose, and the scarred tissue itself.
Her disfigurement doesn't really seem to hide her true nature though, because when with her pack, she can still be very cordial and even playful, albeit in her own dry, deadpan way, and her own appearance isn’t a topic of debate in the Sept; she’s just Gristle. Camaraderie is important to her, something that has kept her pack unified as it's gone through members over the years. Her favorite snacks are pine cones, which she will chew on for many hours on end. She acts as the temperance in her pack, being the decisive factor in many of the pack’s behaviors, who’s affect mirrors her own.
Breaks-the-Leash Sept Role: Adren, Guardian Breed: Wolf-Born Auspice: Ahroun Tribe: Red Talon Breaks-the-Leash is an unusual looking wolf, to say the least. From their slightly smaller and smaller stature compared to even the sleeker wolves of the sept, to their black fur, contrasted by light colored ‘socks’ and lower muzzle, and two ‘eyebrow’ dots, it’s apparent that Breaks-the-Leash was a pet sired from unknown parents, one a wolf, and one a dog.
Their first change was a bloody one that killed the hermit that bought them from an underground seller. They fled the cabin and found themself in the Grand Tetons of Wyoming. They were from the outset someone that had earned the ire of members of their own tribe, causing them to be challenged, fought, and subsequently ejected from several packs from several wolf-born garou progressively westward. Finding themself trapped in between the territories of the Hammer Butte Hunters and another pack farther to the east, she encountered the Red Talons of the Hammer Butte Hunters, who brought them to Sept of the Trillium Glade. Taken before the Sept, Griffin recognized the cub’s Wyld-touched and as-of-yet untamed heart, and the tribe members of the Sept issued a challenge to aid in their campaign against the encroachment of Trillium.
The wolf-dog staked a claim along the very edges of town with the blessing of Gristle, eager to prove themself. Over time, stray or abandoned dogs would wander through their territory, but rather than hunt or kill them, they let the dogs pass through. Word spread, and more hounds looking for a place to belong found her, along with bone gnawer kinfolk of the Barking Chain. This benevolence towards strays resulted in some dogs remaining in Breaks’ territory, and those able to keep up with their hunts became part of her own pack. When it occurred to the Sept just how well she broke her dogs of their dependence on humans and an embracing of the Wyld (and not to mention her pack was now large enough to rival that of the sept itself), the Red Talons have made overtures of peace with her, hoping to avoid conflict with her ever-growing pack of dogs, now standing at 19. Though many Red Talons sneer at this dog pack, there are others who can count the numbers Breaks-the-Leash has at their call and know better than to underestimate this intelligent warrior. Her dogs are fiercely loyal, and have proven themselves more than the equal of some wolves, making them valuable allies to the Ephemeral Mist.
In the years since taking up Salamander’s patronage, Breaks-the-Leash has held a role of being the first line of defense between the bawn and human society. Utilizing her wolves to harry hikers and hunters alike out of the territory, they’ve been quite good at simultaneously keeping human society at bay, and simultaneously unaware of just how close to wolves the town lives. While other Sept members will still scoff at the wolf-dog, Gristle and the rest of her pack see Breaks-the-Leash and her dog pack as an extension of their own Pack-Family. Coming from the edges of human society however, she has developed an unspoken affection of single-serving snack cakes.
Sunshine "Crosses-the-Creek" (Player Character)  Sept Role: Adren, Guardian Breed: Wolf-Born  Auspice: Ahroun  Tribe: Children of Gaia All-too happy to fight for Gaia and please his packmates, Sunshine is in every way the physical manifestation of his namesake. more often than not a waggling ball of enthusiasm. This is a dirty blonde wolf with soulful amber eyes and a playful, pup-like nature that has persisted well into adulthood. Despite this, the wolf is also a warrior at heart, and to him, a fight, and playing, are one and the same.
Born as a spiritual bridge between summer home and the human-born garou, he is the son of Esme "Leaping-Ghost". Born out of a result of the Rite of Alternation of Generations, he and his litter-mates represent the sacred peace rite that Esme performed with Dume'fa overseeing. His birth was proof enough for the primordial spirit to recognize human garou as one of it's own, thereby opening the Sept to open membership by the garou nation.
His First Change and completion of the Rite of Passage, and continued presence at the sept represents a successful peace bond forged by the Children of Gaia. That said though, Sunshine was among the more sensitive and shy of his sibling, and was considered the least likely to experience his first change. To this end, he was a little coddled and babied by Esme, and even now as an adult still exhibits a lot of those same old puppy behaviors whenever he sees his mom. And, considering she's Keeper of the Land, he sees her an awful lot.
He is far and away the friendliest garou in the sept, making him the unofficial Liaison between Sept of the Trillium Glade, and the Elk Prairie Sentinels. Amongst his packmates he is the only wolf-born that regularly visits Trillium. To this end, he is the moral compass of the Ephemeral Mist, and their overall disposition towards the town is often a hyperbolized representation of Sunshine’s own experiences in town.
Alex "Still-Morning"  Sept Role: Fostern, Guardian  Breed: Human-born  Auspice: Galliard  Tribe: Ghost Council  Still-Morning appears as a pale gray wolf that darkens to black tips on her ears and muzzle. As a human, Alex is an androgynous individual typically wearing clothing with various paint, clay, and burn marks from all of their various projects. Their autumn-colored skin and straight black hair is beautifully contrasted against the green of the wilderness that often surrounds them.
An artist and a tinkerer of indeterminate gender whose pieces are often as functional as they are unique, Alex lives in a warehouse sandwiched in between Steelhead Springs and Lucky Lad Auto Wrecking. Their property was once nothing but a dump consisting of spillovers from Lucky Lad's, but over the years they've transformed it into a gleaming, breathtaking gallery. From scrap metal herons suspended in flight, to half-melted glass wolves pulling themselves up from the earth, they've literally turned their trash into treasure.
While a good deal of the money they earn from selling their pieces goes into trusts to help first-nation tribes through the purchase and donation of land back to local first-nation tribes. Alex also works with companies who reclaim former dump sites in the greater Willamette Valley to recycle the materials therein and. Alex brought a lot of anger at humanity when they became a garou, and came to the Sept out of a desire to divorce themselves from their human ties. Under Crosses-the-Creek's mentorship and time spent with the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde, Alex has found many creative outlets for their unexpressed anger at human society through artwork that simultaneously cleanses the formerly tainted objects she reforms.

huge fan of the idea of little traces of the werehog still being left even after unleashed. maybe its something as major as sonic still being able to turn into the werehog under certain conditions. or maybe its just something small like having a little extra fluff and unusually sharp fangs and claws. maybe he still occasionally slips into werehog-like behaviors. idk. i just dont think that you can absorb part of a darkness god and then go completely back to normal once its gone
