So in my 2nd ever Dnd session (Curse of Strahd arc), we met a nice Druidic Lich who was so kindly lore dumping for us. Super swell guy! Love this guy!

My boy Norphanus was just trying to learn more about a evil pseudo-god for reasons but our artificer accidentally revealed some lore instead…

Anyways, yeah! This is the comic rendition of the moment per request of my DM✨ excited for him to edit this into a shitpost for the party

New characters for “Those Sweet Satyrs” ; Agent Denver and his familiar Pear 

Agent Denver is a powerful sandwitch who pops into the plot from time to time during his espeonage escapades. With the help of his python familiar Pear (whose normally pretending to be Denver’s tie), he’s one of the most successful spies on all the continent, and will do nearly anything to find out who’s behind the stealing of historical dark magic artifacts.

Denver and Pear are obviously based off of James Bond and other spy icona, specifically the denver sandwhich and pear martinis. Excited to to expand the Satyrs’ world more in the coming weeks/months!

SURPRISE!! I ANIMATED HORSE VIOLENCE!!

silly project aside, this was really fun to work on--especially since i decided to do it in my own comic's style. Can't express enough how glad I am that it works in motion ToT

The fact that I crossed @tinybookgirl 's mind to respond to this post makes me feel like a big stuff considering I've been on this site for the equivalent of 5 minutes. I had no idea you were also Incorrect Redwall Quotes! I joined this site to mass like basically everything there before discovering all the other awesome blogs. :)

To answer:

1. Visually, the animation could make or break the series. I recently saw some Mouse Guard preview/pitch animation that looked great and I would enjoy watching if Redwall followed a similar style. If it looked like Cats, however, I wouldn't even be able to watch it despite being a total fanatic.

Structurally, I need the characters to be multifaceted and relatable. I don't want Martin to be a Mary Sue, and I dont want Cluny to be so damn evil I can't see him as "human," for lack of better terminology. I realize "good vs. bad" is the whole basis for the entire series--but Brian Jacques was an expert at subtleties, and it was possible to feel for the vermin as much as the woodlanders. I need that to show on screen. Nelvana didn't get into the gray area much, although I can't blame them considering it was for a much younger audience. However, I expect Netflix to do better.

2. For Redwall, I'm honestly really looking forward to how they animate Redwall Abbey itself. For an action scene, I want the slaying of Asmodeus to get me pumped AF.

3. I want Mattimeo and Pearls of Lutra to be made. Matthias's lineage is more dear to me than Martin's story, sacrilege as that is to say. The way I read it, Martin was always strong and capable and confident, but Matthias and Mattimeo had a lot more to get through mentally and emotionally. Although Martin bottled things up, he was basically invincible. Matthias is a fluffy heart and Mattimeo's a hothead. I relate more to fluffy hearts and hotheads.

@chloecorvid like i don’t hate it but i never understood............why every show/short for lgbt youth is for white kids essentially like Glee, Modern Family, or Sense8, like yea there are outliers like in The Bold Type and Orange is the New Black but even those shows are aimed at white audiences
