Here's some more old art lol! This was for a biology project earlier this year. It was about organelles. Some of it may not be 100% accurate but I got a 100! so that's all that counts :'>

My OC Bald (né Bromeliad), a RainWing with distant Leafwing ancestry. He is so named after the ninth century Old English medical textbook "Bald's Leechbook", aka Medicinale Anglicum. Bald is a doctor and herbalist. He also keeps bees, gardens, and brews beer and mead. He has a few leafwing-like chloroplast scales, but I've never figured out how to properly draw them >_<'' More art on my dA :)

I'm making an oc with chloroplast skin cells. They'd be able to to the normal plant stuff with it like produce oxygen and get energy from the sun but I'm stuck on the drawbacks. Aside from obvious effects of dehydration, cold weather and extended periods without light, I can't decide if there'd be certain restrictions on their diet lest it damage their skin or how they'd be affected by everday chemicals.

This is really awesome, and since one of my mods has something similar, I’ve actually thought about some of this before.

How much of their standard diet has to be human food and how long could they safely go with only using photosynthesis for food? If they don’t have access to sunlight, will that hurt them or will they be fine as long as they continue to eat normal food?

Different types of plants have different requirements as far as sun, water, and temperature go (a cactus vs a moon flower vs a venus flytrap). Picking a specific one might help you on some details. For example, diet. Some plants need more acidic soil/food and then you have carnivorous plants that can actually eat meat.

One of the most important things to decide is how much plant they are vs human. You know, are they basically a human with plant-like attributes or are they essentially a plant with human characteristics?

Just had a great idea for two new ocs!!!

One would be a person with chloroplasts in their cells that makes them a human plant. They're green/energetic in the summer, orange/yellow/red/purple and tired in the fall, low key dead in winter, and wake up in the spring but pink

And the other would be a person who radiates light and heat. They would function as a mini sun, and would shine bright 24/7

They would meet each other and realize that since the human plant needs a lot of light and heat to keep from going dormant in winter, and the mini sun could provide enough light to stop that from happening

Probably BNHA world, in the same kind of story as that of @pompadorkery and @machonachos ocs are in where the only thing that ties my characters to it is the rules and laws of that universe

Quirk: Chlorophyllic

Type: Mutant

Description: each of his cells contain the plant cell organelle chloroplasts, which makes It possible for him to absorb sunlight and convert it into energy. This makes his skin, hair, and freckles green of various degrees.

Drawbacks: when sunlight isn't plentiful, like in autumn or winter, he begins to shut down. He becomes depressed; and his skin becomes first a patchy mix of yellow, red, brown, orange and purple in autumn. In winter he goes stark white and fully loses conciousness until spring. Upon waking up his skin and hair are pink.

Inheritance: his mother has the quirk agrokenisis. This allowes her to control plant life. Her quirk isn't as powerful as some plant based quirks as it mainly allows her to manipulate flowers and other small plants.

His father's quirk is called mitosisis. He can control cell production in his body. If he loses a limb, or gets a gash he can immediately heal it or make it grow back. If he regenerates a limb he has to relearn how to use it, and if he loses his head if grows back, but he doesn't remember anything from the last year.

Apollo Helios

Quirk: Morning sun

Type: mutant (with emitter elements)

Description: Apollo's body emits heated light from all around him. He can focus this light energy into a shockwave he calls "solar flare". He never stops glowing or emitting heat, and as such cannot have a drop in power. This quirk isn't erasable as it is passively active.

Drawbacks: impossible to turn off. Can easily overheat, and cant hide like at all. He is hard to sleep in the same room as as he is ever bright and warm. He has to find ways to cool himself down since he would expidentially heat up, but this wouldn't hurt himself, rather everyone else around him.

Inheritance: his mother has the quirk "luminous halo" which causes a halo of light to appear on her head. This can emit a blinding light, or be used as a projectile weapon. If her halo is broken, another one appears instantly

His father's quirk is called "Holy blaze" which allows him to conjure a massive inferno, that only can destroy what goes against the rules of the catholic bible (even though he's not catholic).
