I was tagged in this by @petitemarianna and I guess I could use plausible deniability and pretend I didn't see it (tumblr being tumblr and showing me only the notifications it chooses to show me), but we are mutuals (as well as irl best friends) and I did see it, so here we go.

A book you want to reread:

The Winternight Trilogy by Katherine Arden, The Golem and the Jinni books by Helene Wecker, and the Erthsea books by Ursula Le Guin are all worlds I've really enjoyed and would love to revisit at some point.

Any books you reread every two to five years:

That would be mostly comfort books. Most of Jane Austen's books, and some of Georgette Heyer's, fall into this category, as well as some books by the Polish author Joanna Chmielewska (she wrote murder mystery comedies, that have been my pick-me-up go-tos since I was a teenager).

Any books you reread once a year:

I don't. Not really.. Though I used to reread the Harry Potter books almost on a yearly basis - once upon a time...

The book you reread within the shortest turnaround time:

That would be mostly Art of books, and comic books, that I reread to concentrate more on the art the second time around (most recently The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang). But I also recall rereading The Hunger Games pretty soon after I read it the first time, and the same goes for Good Omens.

The book you've reread the most times:

Aside form the aforementioned? I don't know. Childhood favorites certainly; Matilda, and Mary Poppins, and Anne of Green Gables. Calvin and Hobbes. The Lord of the Rings. Also Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay (I haven't read it in years, but I used to love it), the Twilight Saga (yeah, yeah, I know...), Skinny Legs and All and Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins, and the Wooster and Jeeves books by P.G. Wodehouse.

Writing debut on the market square in Słupsk - A.E.Szumska - "Written in blood"

We have a writing debut on the Słupsk market. A.E.Szumska, who comes from Słupsk, published her first book - "Written in Blood". The book published by Poligraf is now available, often at promotional prices, in bookstores and online stores.

What is the literary genre? You know the drama. It's more of a thriller now. A thriller set in Polish reality, but with a story almost equal to King's story. And not. I'm not exaggerating. Of course, I remember that this is a debut. The debut also has its rights. Nevertheless, the story is arranged, thought out and not obvious. It is, as befits a dramatic genre.

Being set in Polish reality draws additional benefits from the novel. We brought up on indigenous literature, we brought up on publishing series published first in parts in newspapers widely read at the time and then published in limited editions, we brought up on books borrowed from each other will see these influences and benefits in the book.

When there is an introduction to history, when the author shows us the world we found after opening the first page (the younger ones would now call it a universe), when characters and circumstances emerge, it's Chmielewska. I know, bold comparison. Maybe not Chmielewska from "Lesia", maybe not Chmielewska from "Klin" or "We're all suspects", but Chmielewska from "The Dead Man's Whole Sentence", yes. Perhaps not so polished yet, not so mature in her workshop, but equally pictorial and equally skilful with words, time and image.

But when it comes to action. Well, we already have Grochola. Almost as efficient, just as methodical and just as dynamic. The convention of the story requires it, and it is fulfilled. Not quite with a flourish yet, not yet with an idea, but it is a sensational read, absorbing subsequent pages and not being able to break away before explaining the next threads.

This is another advantage of Szumska. Chronology. A deliberate, well-thought-out and necessary procedure of presenting the story in an intertwined chronology reveals the dramatic and tragic nature of the situation and, more importantly, the characters. The author introduces us to this world by telling fragments of history from different periods of its duration and from different points of reference. This makes the whole more complementary and coherent. Maybe some threads were not finished, maybe the story was missing, but it can also be a publishing ploy that reveals to us that there will be a second part. Or maybe that's what publishing rights are like these days. After all, you can't have everything.

The last cool trick, if you can call it that, is skillful acceleration of the pace. As the action and story begin to fall into place, the pace of explaining the threads increases, and with it - a wonderful shortening of chapters, sentences and summaries. As you read, you literally speed up with the story, you feel it, you feel that pace, that pace that also makes you not want to stop, you don't want to stop, you want to know, experience, explain and know. The initial, descriptive, pictorial introduction to the story is replaced by action. "Chmielewska" turns into "Grochola" and the whole thing is fastened with a bright buckle by Szumska.

Yes. This is a unique item on the current publishing market and I recommend everyone to read it.

Thank you Grażyna Chmielewska for being the only person AFAIK besides me to mention that Jelonka's mother almost certainly ~perished in the Holocaust, either in the Łódź ghetto or a death camp, and the last record of her alive is a work permit from the ghetto dated June 14th, 1944, archived from a sheaf of documents compiled by Chaim Rumkowski of the Łódź Judenrat. She was born in Warsaw in February 1883 and became certified as a teacher in 1901, under her maiden name, Wanda Poznańska. In 1903, she married Mordke Chaim vel Maks Jabłonka, and in September 1905 gave birth to their only child, (Maria) Leonia Jabłonka/Jabłonkówna. Wanda Jabłonka was only six years older than Stefania.

CAS project - Preparation

All members had different aspects of the event to prepare. Jagoda and Klara Mikina were in charge of baking and bringing some treats. Klara Chmielewska created a playlist for a game called "Jaka to melodia" and Natalia made a quiz about Warsaw. I was in charge of the arts and crafts section, as well, as playing the piano. Therefore, I found and printed some shapes and i bought colored tissue paper and glue. I chose this activity as it boosts creativity and helps to manually train hands. Furthermore, I practiced some of my songs on piano to perform to the best of my abilities.

27. What's your favourite book? Or just one you've read a few times?

oh god, so many! As child I loved book of Astrid Lindgren I belive the english title is the six Bullerby Children. I read it so many times, the book was totally destroyed and yesterday I got my new copy (the same edition I had as a child!) beside that I love crime books. Since I started reading I loved polish author Joanna Chmielewska, who wrote many funny crime stories. Now I love books of Remigiusz Mróz (also polish author) and Camilla Lackberg (I have visited the city of Fjelbacka few years ago!) beside that there are a lot of books I read more than once. I like rereading books I love, to many to write, for sure!

34. What is favourite flower?

I love my philodendron pink princess even tho it's not very pink at the moment. I love fresh flowers all year round, tulips are great, I love peonies and hydrangeas from my garden. But white peonies wre my fav for sure

40. Do you like beach? Do you prefer it sunny or cloudy?

So, due to my chronic illnes I am not good with high temperatures, but I do like beach and sea/ocean/even lake. I usually holiday somewhere where is the beach, and it's quite the must. But I am not able to spend all day at beach, I got bored, even tho I read every minute I am not in the water. I think little clouds are not bad
