I have decided it would be neat if I had people to send verses to or some sort of encouragement during these dark days. Exchanging verses would be cool too. Fill your mind ☀️ With positive thinking 💡 And be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2. Are there any Christian communities on tumblr?

I am very pleased to announce that I am rekindling my faith in God; however, my family and friends are not Christians and I sometimes find it difficult to discuss my faith with them.

I am wanting to follow other Christians or groups on tumblr but I can’t seem to find any. Can anyone recommend me on who to follow on tumblr please ❤️❤️❤️

It’s far easier to give in to sin than to confess them because most of the time we don’t even see the wrong. As Charles Spurgeon said, “It is easy to commit sin but hard to confess it... Even when sin stares [us] in the face, it still pleads innocence.”

Some sins are so heinous that we may simply be ashamed to talk about them to someone else — but even in these cases, there is hope. As Charles Spurgeon wrote, "There may be some sins of which a man cannot speak, but there is no sin which the blood of Christ cannot wash away."

Psalm 32:5 gives us the best example of how to deal with sin: “I acknowledged my sin to You, And I did not hide my guilt; I said, ‘I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord’; And You forgave the guilt of my sin.”

Beware of being afraid, or ashamed, of sin. I’ll finish this with the words of a 17-century Puritan, William Gurnall:

If Satan continues to hound you, call in help and do not listen to the devil’s counsel to the contrary. The very strength of some temptations lies in trying to keep them hidden. Telling a trusted, godly friend of your struggles often brings relief. Satan knows this too well, so in order more freely to rifle the soul of its peace and comfort, he frightens it into silence. “Oh, my,” Satan says, “if your friends knew such a thing of you, they would cast you off. You had better hope they never find out!” He has kept many a poor soul in misery by swearing it to secrecy. You lose two blessings by keeping the devil’s secret – the counsel of your fellow brethren, and their prayers. And what a serious loss this is!

YouVersion Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:2 NLT Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

I read a quote before saying "Writing is thinking made visible." Therefore, I thought I should explore by writing to study better. Sharing since I'm blessed by God and want to share His Blessings.

What are Heavenly things? Col. 3:12-17

Compassion, Kindness, Humility, Gentleness, Patience, Forgiveness, unselfish Love, Peace of Christ, Word of Christ, and Doing everything in word/action in the name of the Lord Jesus with thanksgiving.

What are Earthly things? Col. 3:5-9

Immorality, Impurity, Sinful passion, Evil desire, Anger, Rage, Malice, Slander, Obscene language, Lying

Why is it important to set our minds on heavenly things and not on earthly things?

Col. 3:6 Because of [these earthly things], the wrath of God is coming.

John 3:36 …whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

What is the promise for those who set their minds on heavenly things?

John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life…

How can one set their mind on heavenly things and keep habitual focus?
