Hashtags for Brands Targeting Christian Entrepreneurs

For the last several months I’ve been building up my instagram following for @dailygodpreneur.  My goal was to connect with other like minded instagrammers.  I wasn’t the most savy at using hashtags, but I quickly learned they are a great way to find others and be found.

If you use Instagram like me, you’re a casual user that posts pictures of your family and activities.  You’re not too into the hashtag world.

But if we’re putting our time into creating services, products or content that we want the world to see, then sharing that with hashtags are a great way to get the word out there.

Most people use hashtags to simply add on more content to their description such as “My vacation was amazing” #ilovetotravel #iloveairplanes . {Jimmy Fallon did a great #hashtag skit}

As business owners, we should want our content to be found by our target market and to find other like minded communities.  Sharing a well used hashtag is the key.

You can find several good articles about in regards to the best and most frequented hashtags.

But for me, my focused niche is Christian entrepreneurs wanting to grow in their relationship with Christ and bring God into their businesses.

As I searched around Google, I realized there wasn’t much content about Christian Entrepreneur Hashtags to connect on Instagram, so I decided to come up with a resource for us.  Try them out, find some new followers, and grow your community online!

**DISCLAIMER** Sometimes spammers will find well used hashtags to spread ads or worse, porn. Even something as simple as #love. So before using a very general hashtag, check it out before your followers click. Also, if you’re a private person, you may not want to use hashtags.  Remember using hashtags is a way you WANT to be found by strangers.

The ULTIMATE Guide for Building A Faith-based Business

…because you were called to be set apart.

As Christian women in business, we have considerable responsibility when it comes to our talents and calling. Everything that we are and ever will be (since the day of our redemption) is God-filled and should be reflected in all areas of our lives. Our businesses are no exception.

We have a calling to do more than drop bible verses every so often or make claims to our faith in Christ (though these are commendable habits to keep). Even more so, we are to be beacons of light for Christ - living in a way that reflects Jesus so we can point others to Him. We must run businesses with integrity and unwavering faith where we can love others as Christ loves us.

So- if you are sitting at the edge of your seat, leaning in, wanting to know how you can achieve a business that puts faith first - you came to the right place! I came up with five awesome ways you can begin building a faith-based business of your very own!

1. Recognize that your business goals do not come from you.

As businesswomen, we have dreams of what we want our businesses to become. We must understand that these desires do not come from us but were placed there by God for His glory. He planted that seed even before your existence. Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." So, God planted the seed, and our life experiences nurture it, allowing our dreams to grow. Then at some point, we experience this pivotal moment in our lives where we notice an unquenchable desire to serve God with our businesses. And if you are at this point - then you are headed in the right direction.

2. Know that God's way is the BEST way

In life, believers are in a constant battle between the flesh and the spirit. We may often notice that our wants attempt to cloud what the Holy Spirit wants for us. Remember that Galatians 5:17 says, "For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do." And because of this truth, on our own, we cannot trust the way we want to run our businesses. Instead, put faith in what God has planned for your future. God is omniscient and knows every possible outcome for every decision made (ever), meaning only He has the authority to make judgment calls on how to run our businesses successfully. His way is the BEST way, and there is beauty in surrendering and choosing God's way instead of our own.

3. Do not worry about what is popular.

Right now content is king, and so, it is easy to get caught up in what others do in their businesses and desire to mimic them. And while I am not against taking pointers for what works for secular business owners, I am more supportive of Christian business owners being authentic and keeping to their calling. It is time for us to stop doing what is considered popular and walk the strait and narrow. We are to be set apart from the world, and it is easy to lose sight of that if we are focused on how the world says we should run our businesses. Instead, let us keep our eyes on Jesus, striving to be beacons of light and the salt of the earth for His Kingdom. In this way, our actions do not turn up void. Remember - this life is but a vapor, so all that we do should be done for God and His Kingdom.

4. Be obedient to Christ because it benefits others.

We live in a world that is so focused on self it is easy to fall into a narcissistic mindset. When everyone else is making decisions based solely on their benefit, we must remember that we are supposed to love God first and our neighbors as ourselves second (Matthew 22:37). Recalling these commandments helps us make the conscious effort to choose obedience to God’s Will because it is helping others in their walk with Christ. There is so much revelation that comes from knowing that our actions do not only affect us but others around us as well - far and wide! Every time we choose to be obedient and run our businesses with a faith-first mindset, we are seizing the opportunity to show others the beauty of Christ and what He did for us on the cross. And if we choose to reject being used by Him, He will give our abilities to others who are unafraid to live according to His Will; the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14–30 is a perfect representation of this.

5. Pray about all things

The best part about being a woman of faith is the privilege to seek God on all things. We have the supernatural ability to petition God in any and every moment of our lives - our businesses included! Do not take this privilege for granted. If we want God to have His hand actively involved in our businesses, then we must pray. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” And if you are praying and are still unclear about a decision within your business, do not feel pressured to move before God speaks. Be still and wait on the Lord. Prayer is your divine ability to allow God to take over your business and lead you to make the very best decisions. Include Him in all things having faith that He will provide, and you will see blessing unfold in your business beyond what you could ever imagine.

And so, by implementing these five crucial habits, you can step into who God created you to be - a faith-led business owner. Simply deciding to let God define your business will allow you to meet and exceed the business goals you have set for yourself. Choose to be set apart from the world. Choose unwavering faith. And finally, choose to love others the way Christ loves you.
