it's not like it's bad writing in the sense of I can't read it, it's just the characterization is so different from who I've observed Cinder to be. And I guess in an AU sense she doesn't have to be a huge bitch, but then is she really Cinder if she's not at least haughty and scheming?

idk, if you have some good Fallen Petals fic recs for me I'll take em, and in the meantime I'm writing a little one-shot for them because I cannot stand idly by lmao
